Lila is a kindegarten teacher and is on her way to a conference that her boss sent her to. She misses her first flight but gets booked on another in first class. There she meets a man who is totally absolutely gorgeous. She is nervous and gets more so when they hit turbulence. During one of the bumps she mumbles that she doesn't want to die before having sex.
Mikhail is sitting beside a beautiful young woman. He hears what she said and is immediately intrigued. When their plane is grounded due to issues he gets a car and they drive to NY. He gets a suite and they spend a night together. In the morning when she walks out to the living room her dad is there. He tells her she will be getting married the next day. When she arrives at the church she finds that the groom is Mikhail. His mother is less than welcoming. For weeks she is kept inside until she begs him to let her talk to her mom. He gets her a phone and she calls her mom. Then with her mother's help they make plans for her to get away. Now she has been in a place called Camden Hill working at the Dewdrop Café as a waitress. She has been there for months and still keeps a sharp eye out. She's made friends with two people, Maggie who's another waitress and Alex. Life goes along and she finally finds a doctor to go to. She's pregnant about seven months. When she has an ultrasound she finds she's having twins. Twins! Mikhail's babies. Things happen and when she uses her phone to call her mother Mikhail answers. She needs to run so she calls Alex. But then when she goes into a gas station to use the restroom she sees him talking to Ryan, a guy who had dated Maggie. She jumps out of his car and runs to the bus station only to be caught by Mikhail.
When he takes her back to her apartment she knows her freedom is gone. Then he discovers she's pregnant. And when he learns she's having twins, he's shocked. His children!! Possessive doesn't even cover it.
Now he must protect her and his children even from his mother. Will they be able to survive the war coming at them? What does her father have to do with it?
A story that is intense and gritty.

I really tried to like this, I promise.
The spice was decent and I appreciated how sweet the MMC always was but the plot was just not there for me. It felt very unorganized and unfinished. Several pieces were thrown in almost as afterthoughts. It had a ton of potential if the story line was brought out more and had more details.

Plot was all over the place. FMC was naive/stupid. MMC got in love too quickly, i needed more stoicism. Whys it call Mile High when they never banged in the air. What does Mikhail get out of the marriage alliance if the dad is so beneath him!? Who runs a mile when theyre 7 months pregnant at top speed with no stitch or cramp!? Who lies down and cries when theyre having what they think are contractions instead of actually telling someone theyre in pain!? Shes just an idiot and I was annoyed the whole time. Oh and they only banged 3 times by this point.

Mile High Daddy continued a plane theme age gap, but this time the silver fox on a plane is a bratva boss semi-stalking his lady love. Mikhail and Lila have an arranged mobster alliance marriage, Lila does not realize until after initial hookup. I was sad the plane allowed for minimal plot drama. There is good gangsta suspense and evil in laws on both sides. Plot detour to small town hide out. Some parts felt computer generated but I overlook because pacing and other elements were interesting. Wish Mikhail was less wooden and Lila was less dimwit waif. Alex is left underdeveloped wasted potential

so this story starts out strong but then it loses its way pretty quickly. so it starts off with the FMC who is an elementary school teacher going to the airport to go to New York for a teacher's conference where she was basically broke into doing a lot of the conference work by her principal randall. she is late to the plane and gets there too late but was put on a first class ticket on the next plane. she ends up sitting in the wrong seat where the MMC was supposed to be sitting next to his Mafia bodyguard or whatever but he lets her sit next to him and there's lots of turbulence and she basically blurts out about being a virgin and doesn't want to die as a virgin. during this time she gets a few calls from Randall her boss and the MMC is like well you weren't tasked to do all those things as your job so why don't you just blow it off and she decides to blow off the conference and goes with the MMC to a hotel where she loses her vCard and the next day she wakes up with her dad and two of his bodyguard / Mafia dudes? this is where the story starts losing. the organization starts to suck. but basically the fmc's mom and dad divorced when she was younger and she went away but now her dad has brought her back so she can get married for some sort of deal and she's not into it. her stepmom told her she has to do it for the family. her phone isn't charged so she can't call anyone or her mom. while she's in the hotel everything for the wedding is done for her and she goes to get married without knowing who the groom is and when she finally lifts up her veil it's the MMC and she faints. this is where you learn that the MMC and her dad have made an alliance deal because there are other groups trying to infringe on some of their territory situations and another group keeps stealing their things and if I remember correctly the MMC is partly dealing in flesh human trafficking but is trying to get out of that situation. during the time that this is all going on the FMC refuses to sleep in the same room as the mmc. which is valid. there's a small section where they talk about how he needs to sleep with his wife and consummate their marriage and show the bed sheets but he's already had sex with her the day they met so there's that. of course we know because of the type of book it is she ends up pregnant but it's a mess.

Wow. Liz Archer has truly delivered a scorching, edge-of-your-seat romance with Mile High Daddy. This book grabbed me from the very first page and didn’t let go, whisking me into a world of passion, power, and a whole lot of steam. I have to admit, the "mile high club" premise hooked me immediately, but the story quickly transformed into so much more than I expected.

A story about a couple brought together by an arranged marriage so that a young woman’s father could gain power and the lies and betrayal that came after as well as the love that bloomed between the couple after they got back together.
The young woman runs due to the coaching of her mother. Gone for months before she messes up so that the Bratva boss finds her. The Bratva boss looks at her running from him as a betrayal but he can’t harm her, especially after he finds out about her.
The Bratva boss along with her friend plans a baby shower for the young woman. The baby shower winds up bringing the young woman’s father and a guy working with him capturing the woman and her mother to get to the Bratva boss.
The young woman’s father lied and betrayed them to get the power that the Bratva boss has even though he would never get it. During this time another enemy of the Bratva bosses is there but at the end he finds out the truth about the enemy.
The young woman has their twins and they go back to the city. During their time in the small town the young woman figures out that she loves the Bratva boss and the Bratva boss has loved her since the first time they met. The couple leave the Brava boss’s family home after his mother starts things with them and they move into their own home.
The couple is happy and in love and their little family is happy and together.
Outstanding characters as well as being a page turner brings this story together. The story has drama, suspense, intrigue, action as well as a steamy romance that gives it a happily ever after ending.

An amazing rollercoaster!
No words! I simply loved this book! A fast-paced, intriguing, flowing plot, multi-dimensional characters – this book had it all! I am not sure I can discuss the plot, as there are so many jaw-dropping moments from the get-go – agreements behind closed doors, revelations and secrets exposed, forceful encounters. It left my head spinning and I honestly think that it will spoil the experience discussing it here, so I won’t. I will just mention that Mikhail and Lila’s road to HEA is paved with so many obstacles stemming from the cruel, unbending world around them (the Mafia world) but also from some of their own decisions and actions. A constant thing in this story is that the past makes its presence known. Not everything is as it seems, there are many power plays and struggles. Both Mikhail and Lila are stubborn and determined, but they have to, at the end of the day, decide what is worth the most for them, because nothing is black or white. Even if I loved them both, I am not afraid to admit that Mikhail stole my heart a little bit more in this one. Although I also admit that I wanted to smack them both on the head from time to time. Many interesting secondary characters, both good and bad, parade in this amazing rollercoaster of a story. I couldn’t put the book down. It gave me all the feels. In my opinion a rich, 5-star read.

Sigh I really tried to like this, I promise. The title had me intrigued (hello, mile high club 😏), and it started off strong with a spicy, steamy airplane hookup that felt like it was setting up for something fun, sexy, and wild. And to be fair, the romance between Lila and Mikhail did have its sweet moments. Mikhail was actually a really endearing MMC.. protective, affectionate, and surprisingly soft considering he’s supposed to be a ruthless Bratva boss. But that’s kinda where things started falling apart for me…
The whole mafia angle? Just didn’t work. I feel like I’m seeing the same setup over and over again: mysterious man turns out to be a crime lord, surprise marriage, surprise babies, surprise chaos. 🙄 Honestly, I think I would’ve liked this so much more if Mikhail had been anything but another mafia guy. Like give the man a regular job, I beg. 😂
The plot felt unorganized and unfinished, with random twists thrown in that didn’t really connect or make much sense. It was like the story couldn’t decide what it wanted to be—dark romance? light insta-love? mafia suspense? forced marriage fairytale? It tried to do it all, and unfortunately, it ended up feeling disjointed.
Lila was cute, Mikhail was sweet, the spice was fine… but the pacing, timeline, and lack of depth just didn’t pull it together. It started off promising but slowly unraveled into something I stuck with more out of hope than genuine enjoyment.

I feel like I’m seeing the same setup over and over again: mysterious man turns out to be a crime lord, surprise marriage, surprise babies, surprise chaos. 🙄 Honestly, I think I would’ve liked this so much more if Mikhail had been anything but another mafia guy. Like give the man a regular job, I beg. 😂
The plot felt unorganized and unfinished, with random twists thrown in that didn’t really connect or make much sense. It was like the story couldn’t decide what it wanted to be—dark romance? light insta-love? mafia suspense? forced marriage fairytale? It tried to do it all, and unfortunately, it ended up feeling disjointed.
Lila was cute, Mikhail was sweet, the spice was fine… but the pacing, timeline, and lack of depth just didn’t pull it together. It started off promising but slowly unraveled into something I stuck with more out of hope than genuine enjoyment.

Oh, Mikhail, he was everything. The moment he saw Lila, he knew she would be his. He would do anything for her and protect her at all costs.
He was so kind, patient, protective, and possessive. He did the sweetest things for her, like planning a date, even though he had never gone on a date. He was so swoony.

I loved the book cover.
The story, not so much. It was utter chaos and not in a good way. I don't even understand the book title as they only 'met' on the plane, it wasn't what I was expecting 🙄
The characters had no real structure or background- I was constantly trying to put some order in my head, but random names and families were being tossed about, had I missed a book somewhere?
Lila got on my nerves. She was petulant and immature - her mood swings gave me whiplash. Oh! just for a reality check, I've had a twin pregnancy, and there is no way at 7 months pregnant I'd throw myself out of a car and then run a mile....it took me ten minutes to get up off the sofa and the waddle was firmly in place carrying all that baby bump.....WTF??? I had so many questions and eye rolls that it became a chore to finish the book.
I still have to learn not to judge a book by it cover....🙄

We are taken along in the lives of Mikhail and Lila. Lila does not like flying and when turbulence occurs he distracts her, and she then joins the Mile High Club. When the turbulence gets worse, the pilot is forced to make an emergency landing before they reach their destination. After spending a night together, she wakes up alone the next morning and to her horror she does not see Mikhail but her estranged father who tells her that she is being married off because he wants to form a strong alliance with another mafia family. You are glued to the book from the first page and can not turn the pages fast enough to read how Lila's story progresses.

Ok so first off there is no Mile high action, they make out a little in the toilet that’s it! They hook up on terra firma. And no one is a ‘daddy’

Her mum helps her escape and most of the book is her in hiding while pregnant until hubby finds her, and gunshots ensue.
I didn’t like the FL, but I get why she ran, everyone lies to her including her mother, I feel if people actually told her the truth she might have been calmer but she was bewildered most of the book. And the ending was meh, they left the house big deal, he’s still the boss of New York right?

I fought hard to get through this one. The blurb made the story seem promising, but the writing fell flat. Under developed characters, random plot points that made no sense, no clear direction of how/ why we got from point a to point b. I found myself flipping back and forth, trying to figure out what I was missing. All to have it explained in a quick conversation in the last chapter.
I also think someone should explain basic anatomy and changes that the female body goes through in pregnancy to the author. Most of the intimate moments occur when she's 7mo pregnant with twins, and the positions the author puts them in are just not realistic given that situation.
I wanted to like it, I feel like it could've been a great story if written by someone else.

Such a Must read for Bratva lovers!
Really enjoyed this book since I love mafia and Bratva romance books. This book has a strong heroine Lila and she has a mysterious background. She meets the handsome and enigmatic Mikhail on the airplane. Each character have secrets but she has alot of unknown secrets. On the plane their attraction is strong towards each other.
This storyline is a roller coaster ride of events and emotions. I enjoyed the storyline and the plot was action filled. There are many characters that surprised me. Such a beautiful ending for Lila and Mikhail!

Liz Archer does it again with another great book. I'm not a huge fan of Mafia romance books but have found a few I liked. This has gone to the top of the list. I really liked the story and the character development. How confused Lila was with her feelings after having her life dictated just seemed so realistic. It wasn't an insta love like some of these books that makes it completely unbelievable. Its was insta lust and then after resolving issues and figuring out her feelings it grew to love.

Mikhail is the head of the New York Bratva and Lila is a kindergarten teacher whose father is also in the mafia. They meet on a plane and make out in the restroom, however they are interrupted before they can join the mile-high club. They are two very strong individuals from two different worlds who try to come together. She runs and he follows. There is a lot of steam in this book. Danger follows wherever they go. I recommend this book to all dark mafia romance readers.

This is such a great story!
This book is just such a crazy rollercoaster ride, I'm not even sure what to say ... Mikhail and Lila are amazing characters. There are so many obstacles and betrayals thrown in their path, it's impossible to know what's coming next.
Intense storyline, with an incredible cast of characters - the main, as well as others. Gripping read that kept me guessing, and hoping, until the very end. Highly recommend!!.

It wasn't an easy road for them with betrayals from her father and his mother's ambitions along with dangers of the bratva but their attraction does become love in the end. I'm glad they put their love and happiness above whatever his mother wants.

Mikhail and Lila are just fantastic characters. What should have been a one and done, never to see each other again, precipitated a rollercoaster of a read. Mikhail's world is not a safe one and the power struggle in Mikhail's world is dangerous and volatile. Exciting, edge of my seat book which was so great to read. It is said often, but I really could not put this book down.

Mikhail and Lila meet at the airport and while traveling together seem to like what they see and sparks fly. But all is not what it seems and thus begins a mafia story with drama, intrigue, great characters and a situation or two where I tried to guess what was going on before the reveals. A bit of steam and romance drive the story as Mikhail and Lila navigate it all. Enjoyed watching it all play out.
