A brotherhood hardened by survival, forged in battle and engineered for destruction. While the Master of Mayhem tears civilization down to the bone, another evil rises in the wake—an enemy older than man, waiting beneath the abyss to ensure no soul survives.
The Bayou Bishops, the Viking Lords, and the Quantum Kings were never meant to fight together. Their worlds don’t belong on the same battlefield.
But if there’s anything left to save, this unlikely brotherhood is the last line between survival and extinction.
Brotherhood is their weapon. The swamp is their stronghold. And this war?
I don't want to give any spoilers away, so I won't get specific. I fell in love, with this series, from the first book. The stories are terrific, and I love all of the characters. They've become family to me. The sheer amount of loyalty and love, between the original characters, is breathtaking. As new ones are added, the bonds build and strengthen. They do everything in their power to make sure that the people they love are safe. Lucian Bane, the author, injects so much love, passion, loyalty, energy, strength, humor, and adventure into each of his books. It's like being on a crazy new roller coaster. No idea which direction it's going to go. They just keep getting betterer and betterer. Sometimes, I have to remind my self to breathe. As much as I truly don't like mosquitos, heat, or humidity, and certainly not all three together, I would gladly set up a little home in one of the Twelve's Hatches. I highly recommend this book. But, if you haven't read the series, start with book 1. That way you will watch the characters grow and develop, and hopefully you will come to see them as family also. Every once in awhile, I find a series I will reread. This is definitely top of my choices. The only negative thing I can say, is that the books always end way too fast. All of a sudden, that last page is there, and I don't want it to end. Then I wait for the next one.
This book. Lordamercy was it intense! It took the intensity from the end of the last book and catapulted it. I feel so involved with these characters and the new ones introduced are soooo interesting. A lot of things were made clearer which I loved and the integration of all these extraordinary people in preparation for what comes next was flawless. Before I read the first book I would have said I loathed cliffhangers, but Lucian Bane has cured me of that. I can’t wait for the next book but I know without a doubt it will be worth it. I would start with the first book and read them in order because if you don’t know this world’s rules and how they evolve, I feel you would miss a lot.
Masterpiece of love, power and an uncertain future.
Another masterpiece from Lucian Bane. This series will have you constantly on the edge of your seat with all the twists and turns. The characters are evolving and new ones are being introduced into the Swamps. The future the Kings of all lands face is one of uncertainties for sure. The women that these men have chosen and fall in love with only strengthen their powers. I am in awe of this author’s imagination and how he tells his readers a story. He pulls you and you will not want to leave the land of the Bayou Bishops and the other Kings.
The Brotherhood by Author Lucian Bane is #21 in the Bayou Bishops series. Lucian promised all his ma petites an epic adventure and he's sure has delivered. This book is 🔥 🔥 🔥. Twist and turns and somethings I did not see coming. Definitely a must read! Start you adventure into the swamps with the Bayou Bishops series today. I promise you'll never be the same.
The Brotherhood was truly amazing. My emotions were all over the place. I enjoyed the book from the beginning to the end. I was on the edge of my seat through out the whole book. I couldn’t put it down. The more I read the more I wanted to read. I just didn’t want the book to end. I can’t wait for the next book to come out. Mr. Lucian Bane is truly an awesome talented author. He never disappoints you he gives all he got and then some.
A great author can literally reach inside the reader and manipulate and influence their perceptions and emotions and feelings. I love you Lucian but I want to smack you so hard right now. I hate being hung out like this. This book consumed me to the point I couldn't sleep.or eat because I had to find out what was happening next. What a ride. Please don't leave us in this purgatory for too long.
This story is truly fantastic! I love Bishop, Beth and the twelve. Everything that has transpired,is brought together in this story with the triplets, the Creole Kings, the Quantum Kings, the Viking Kings, and others who are preparing for war. This is an amazing story!
The Saga Continues, I fell into the Bayou Bishops Series exactly a year ago when I read Book 1, The Bishop. I haven't read another author’s books since. I devoured all 20 books reading and re-reading over the past year falling in love with the 12 Bishops plus their Seer, and their women. I followed as they met all the other Kings and their swamp world was attacked, and as they gathered to protect their families and their land. At the end of Book 20 crisis was coming and I was afraid. We fans waited a bit for Book 21, Bayou Bishops The Brotherhood wondering what was coming next and were anxious for the future of the swamp, the brothers their women and the Kings. This book answers so many questions, and poses even more questions, will put you on the edge of your seat and make you cry your eyes out for the characters you love. To get the full story you should read the entire series and trust me, every book in this series is beyond a five-star rating. You will find yourself immersed in their lives which are shared so well by Author Lucian Bane. More is on the horizon for this series, there are deep lessons to be learned, lives to be saved, love to grow and a whole swamp to rescue. As Lucian Bane once said, “There is no end in sight.” Don’t miss this series, you will never read anything like it.
Well this long awaited 21st book in the Bayou Bishops series was, as expected, So worth the wait! Getting back to our heroes in a stressful, and nerve wrecking time. With injuries, and missing pivotal characters. It was a real nail biter waiting to have some kind of happy endings at all. There is so little I can say without giving anything away. Lucian Bane is a Master of giving just enough to keep you riveted, and gasping at what he does reveal. You`ll learn more about the Master of Mayhem, and where he came from, and you will also learn what happens with Handy, and how he`ll adjust. Of course Lucian takes us back to see what`s happening in the Bayou. Keeping track of how they are trying to keep their own people safe, while rescuing anyone, they are able to. You`ll see what is happening in 8-Bit`s world, and his frantic wife, Cat. While his AI friends are trying to help. The whole book is a treasure box of wonderful visits with these characters we have come to love, and of course, we still want more. Oh Mr. Bane, you have us all hypnotized by your words, and it`s never enough!. I will now, of course read this book, several times, and then add it to my personal library. While I impatiently await book 22! It might be a couples book, or straight back to continue on with the Bayou Bishops story of today. No matter what, I`ll be waiting, and continue to love this series, as an all time favorite. Don`t ever stop, Lucian! We need this series in our lives. As always 5 stars doesn`t begin to do it justice, But that`s what I gave it, as the best score offered. I cannot recommend this series, or this book highly enough!
This is the latest book in the Bayou Bishop series and once again I am left breathless! The world building, character development and non-stop action keep this reader on the edge of her seat. If cliff-hangers bother you, you will be in a tizzy with this one -- I just think of it as anticipation for the next installment. :)
The plot gets deeper... It's been one hell of a ride so far. A few times, I had to step off to catch my breath. Things are getting more and more intense, more complex, yet not. The way your mind works, to create this world of the Bishops, is fascinating, Mr. Bane. I look forward to the next book.
Book 21 and they just keep getting better! Keep in mind Lucian is THE master of cliffhangers and this one does not disappoint! How do you rescue 2000 people who will save humanity? Team up with Mayhem and Cahos of course! Want to know more?? Gotta read the series :)
Story line keeps you reading as fast as you can while your brain works on gathering all it can to process the storyline. Yep as confusing as it sounds it really makes sense.
If you’ve read any of Bane’s previous works you understand we have been waiting on multiple series to be finished. So many stories added to the Bayou Bishops it sadly looks like this series will be the same. Continuing to follow for a conclusion to at least one series by the author
Wow, such an intense story. There's a lot to think about and take in. I can't wait to see where this story leads us. It has quite the cliffhanger. I'm certain that it will be well worth the wait.
This saga just keeps getting better and better!! This book takes us on another adventure with our swamp family...This story continues to build and grow bringing in new characters with continued peeks in the life of all our favorite characters! As the story gets deeper the basic storyline remains the same, Good vs Evil, Love of family, a deep seated love and devotion to your one and only. The trial and tribulations and suspense of this story will keep you on the edge of your seat and lets not forget the heat, the love these men have for their women and vice versa will keep you warm on those cold nights
Goodness gracious!!! Bishop's wife was taken captive by the Master of Mayhem's man. But now he doesn't know what to do with her. She has some power over his men. And it seems him as well. What to do? She's pregnant with his enemy's babe, and she has needs. His blood! But not for her, it's for the baby.
Beth is there for a reason. And she requires help from all of them! Meanwhile her husband, is undergoing drastic changes. He needs his wife, but these changes must come first!
Just wait until they all come together! So much is coming their way! Are they ready?
Must read!!!! This series is just too incredible to miss!!
This one jumped around a lot. I understand the necessity. Just made it a little difficult to concentrate for me. My problem not the author's. Just means I got to spend a little more time with the swamp family. I still get Ruin vibes from where this is going. And if 8-Bit doesn't get his head out of his rear, I'm going to need Bishop or Beth to kick his butt.
I have no idea where or how Lucian Bane creates these characters, worlds, and scenarios, but his mind is truly spooky. This story seemed to encompass just about ever character in this series. At times I had a small struggle keeping up with the story. I wasn't able to read this straight through, and it hampered the flow. My fault, not Mr. Bane's. If you like the series, you'll enjoy this.
Well crap, what to say without giving anything away. This was a pretty intense read, especially with what was going on with Bishop and Beth. How can Bishop be doing that? Why doesn't Beth understand her gift yet?Or does she think it's not true that she has it? More characters to try and keep straight. This one jumped around a bit, so be prepared. Oh, come on, Lucian Bane, what is it with you and these freaking cliffhangers. Crap on a cracker 😳.
So Sinrik protects Beth after his brother took her in. Bishop is hanging on by a thread but Beth doesn't know that she just knows she has to be there for some reason.
Again listening to the book on audio you do or rather I kept getting lost as the story would jump from the different king families. But in the whole I'm just waiting now the see if the good guys win!!!
Omg what a saga!!!! I couldn't put it down! I really felt for both Bishop and Beth. I was on the very edge of my seat hosing Bishop was going to pull through. Lucian writes to where you actually feel as though you're right there with the characters. Definitely need to read this series if you haven't. Promise you wontwbe disappointed
Fanflipingtastic, the action starts on the very first page and it builds all the way to the very end. I just couldn't put it down. Yes it is that good. I can't wait for the next book. Please Please hurry with it . The mystery what can I say extremely well written. Loved it.
The Brotherhood had me laughing at times and on the edge of my seat at times. Another amazing installment in the Bayou Bishops series. These characters are awesome and their stories really draw you in. The love these characters have for each other is inspiring! This book will leave you anxiously waiting for the next! Lucian Bane, you knocked it out of the park again!
This was so good! Love the direction the story is taking! Now I've got to wait for the next book, lord I hate that! This is the VERY BEST series out there. I have loved EVERYTHING Lucian Bane has written, but especially this series!
As usual another phenomenal book about Bishop and Beth with some new players in there. Sinrik holds Beth but still devoted to Bishop. She has the gift of persuasion and used it on the chaos king.
Another amazing read from the swamp master Lucian Bane. Absolutely keeps you reading until it ends and then you want more. Can't wait until the next book comes out!
Intense, thrilling and innate cliffhangers. Really amazing Bishop and Beth are great. Maggie is totally awesome being able to read people by just touching their hand and then draws what she sees.
Bravo! To the author on another fantastic installment in his Bayou Bishop’s series. Buckle up and hang on through the twists and turns of the story. You won’t be disappointed.
You must read about Ms. Swampy and her newest friend. This is amazing and as usual Mr. Bane left me wanting. Absolutely thrilling to the last page. 10 stars if it were possible.
