It’s been a year since Jane and Nash married. Now, we are happily settled. Or so we claim. Nothing is the same since Pippa’s tragedy. The kittens and I miss her more every day.
One unassuming night, I notice something strange out the window. A woman is watching us. Not long after, Jane is attacked, and Nash makes a shocking confession.
He has a stalker who has tormented him for months.
In full crisis mode, Jane goes to work as an assistant for a mysterious man and his wife. Something about the sitution is off. What that is she has yet to uncover.
Who is the woman stalking Nash, and what does she want from him? Is Jane’s new employer just slightly eccentric? Or has she found herself thrust into another twisted mystery?
J.S Ellis is a thriller author. She has a degree in creative writing, English literature, and digital marketing. She lives in Malta with her fiancé and their fur baby Eloise. I'll be honest... When I saw the name of the book on the cover, I was instantly intrigued. Then I realized there were 5 previous books. I went back and started at the beginning to make sure the review was accurate as possible.
I absolutely devoured these short books in a weeks time. Following Theodore and his sometimes complicated storyline was a unique perspective. Not every day do you get to enjoy books from the POV of the serial killers pet. I loved how the books are written in the subjects 1st person.
It's like if Joe Goldberg from You had a pet cat. An equal blend of humor and thriller that kept me turning the page.
I hope there are more in the future because I can't wait to dive back into Theodore's world.

There's never a dull moment with Jane around! She seems to attract danger, like my furniture gathers dust. It's inevitable, so deal with it. But knowing Jane, there will be complications and detours. Is there no end to the trouble coming at Jane ? She's got conflict with a strange woman. Then, she gets hired to clean up for another author, which she mistakenly thinks will be less stress. Lol. There're secrets, many secrets, some are deadly while others are killers. Look at what Theodore the cat saw!! It changes the game!!! I voluntarily read a free copy of this book provided by book sirens and am giving an honest review.
"As a devoted cat lover, stories where the protagonists are cats are something I am deeply passionate about. Theodore is an incredibly intelligent cat, and I enjoyed this book so much that I was truly surprised by the ending—it left me with a genuine desire for much, much more." "The story is well-designed, and the narrative is simply phenomenal. J.S. Ellis knows exactly how to connect with readers; I have read several works by this author, and I absolutely love their writing style. I give it a full 5 stars because this story truly captivates you from beginning to end. A big thank you to BookSirens for giving me the opportunity to read this story!"
Theodore is Book 6 in The Cat is Watching Series by J S Ellis. Theo and his kittens are back with Jane and Nash. Everyone is still hurting over Pippa's death. Jane takes on a job with a mysterious couple and the drama is through the roof. I find that J S Ellis writes excellent characters with outstanding drama and mystery. I can't wait for the next Theodore story. In my opinion, every book is better than the last. Theodore should be on everyone's TBR list. I received an arc for free and I am leaving my review voluntarily.
Another wonderful story about Theodore the cat. I enjoy the way the story is told from Theodore and Jane's perspectives. We do also hear about Nash but it is not told in his voice.
Jane is now married to Nash and lives with Monster the dog, Theodore, Nameless now called Opal and Theo's two kittens.
Once again Jane is thrown into murder and mystery with a stalker as well.
I loved this story.

I discovered J.S. Ellis this year and really enjoy her writing style. Theodore: The Cat is Watching is the 6th book in this series. While I did really enjoy this, I do recommend beginning with Book 1 to understand the baseline. A thrilling, quick read which I do recommend! Thanks to BookSirens and the author for the ARC. All opinions are my own. Rating: 4 stars Expected publication date: Jan 27 2026
Book 6 in the series. Jane and Nash are now married and putting the past behind them. Theodore, his two kittens, Nameless ,a stray, and Monster the dog are all living together and getting over the loss of Pippa. Jane accepts a job offer working for an author who is never around. She starts to suspect something isn’t quite right in the household and Theodore snoops around as well. Another fast paced thriller. Thank you to the author for this preview copy. I enjoy this series so much.
A very well-written book with wonderfully-interesting characters. Interesting plot that kept me thoroughly engaged throughout. Enjoyed every minute of it!
*I received a complimentary ARC of this book in order to read and provide a voluntary, unbiased and honest review, should I choose to do so.
I really wanted to like this book more, but it was just ok. I didn't care much for the interaction between Jane and her husband. I didn't think Jane was a very likeable character. The mystery of Frank was just not exciting either. I finished the book and thought this was just an ok, kinda dry mystery.

I love Theodore! He needs a little old lady to take him and his kittens! Jane always seems to find danger and needs Theo to save her! Nash has a stalker and Jane has a dubious new employer! This is NOT a good combo! This was another excellent book. Plenty of action and adventure! Definitely an original exciting story! I highly recommend this book and the whole Theo series!
Jane and Nash newly married were looking forwards to their future with their many pets but strange situations bring chaos into their lives. An intriguing thriller . I received this ARC copy via Booksirans and recommend this book to other readers .
I loved this book! I do love Theodore, so that helps! A brilliant story, it continues the storyline with more twists & turns, then I thought possible! A great idea, so well written, I do adore this writers work & I do strongly recommend!
The newlyweds have a new challenge that they must face and overcome. Secrets, hidden truths, betrayals and greed. Theo has a mystery to solve. Received an ARC and this is my honest voluntary review.
