Theodore: The Cat Is Watching

Rate this book
It’s been a year since Jane and Nash married. Now, we are happily settled. Or so we claim. Nothing is the same since Pippa’s tragedy. The kittens and I miss her more every day.

One unassuming night, I notice something strange out the window. A woman is watching us. Not long after, Jane is attacked, and Nash makes a shocking confession.

He has a stalker who has tormented him for months.

In full crisis mode, Jane goes to work as an assistant for a mysterious man and his wife. Something about the sitution is off. What that is she has yet to uncover.

Who is the woman stalking Nash, and what does she want from him? Is Jane’s new employer just slightly eccentric? Or has she found herself thrust into another twisted mystery?

The publishing date will be pushed forward.

Theodore is Book 6 in The Cat is Watching Series by J S Ellis. Theo and his kittens are back with Jane and Nash. Everyone is still hurting over Pippa's death. Jane takes on a job with a mysterious couple and the drama is through the roof. I find that J S Ellis writes excellent characters with outstanding drama and mystery. I can't wait for the next Theodore story. In my opinion, every book is better than the last. Theodore should be on everyone's TBR list. I received an arc for free and I am leaving my review voluntarily.

Looking for a fresh new read to finish off spooky season? Check this out!

Theodore the cat, his many siblings and their human, Jane and Nash, settle into their new home after the tragic death of Theodore’s beloved, Pippa. Little do they know something wicked their way comes and you don’t want to miss out on all the fun!

I’ve never read a psychological thriller quite like this before and I wasn’t disappointed! I couldn’t put it down! I really like reading through the different perspectives as the story progresses especially towards the end!

This is my first time reading the Theodore series and so far, I’ve really enjoyed it. If you’re looking for a shocking and surprising suspenseful psychological thriller about a cat and his family, be sure to check out the Theodore series! Happy Reading!!

There's never a dull moment with Jane around! She seems to attract danger, like my furniture gathers dust. It's inevitable, so deal with it. But knowing Jane, there will be complications and detours. Is there no end to the trouble coming at Jane ? She's got conflict with a strange woman. Then, she gets hired to clean up for another author, which she mistakenly thinks will be less stress. Lol. There're secrets, many secrets, some are deadly while others are killers. Look at what Theodore the cat saw!! It changes the game!!! I voluntarily read a free copy of this book provided by book sirens and am giving an honest review.

Three mysteries in one! Easily 4.5 stars out of 5
I love these intricate Theodore-centered books. On the one hand they are light-hearted because we get to listen in on the animal talk to one another; hearing their concerns and opinions, but on the other hand, there are dark things occurring to our main characters. In this story there are actually three: there is the Grace stalking thing, then Jane’s new job and its curiosities and lastly, Theodore’s gifts to Pippa’s grave keep disappearing.
Honestly, the opening scene is heartbreaking when we see that Theodore goes to his “cat-wife’s” grave everyday with a gift of a dead mouse. Together Pippa and Theodore had two sweet kittens named Tobias and Suki. The three miss Pippa immensely; she was killed a couple books back. Theodore is a very intuitive cat and senses danger while trying to alert Jane his owner to its presence. Now that Jane and Nash have been married about a year, Theodore was feeling a wee bit bored until it wasn’t anymore. Be careful what you wish for!
Can Theodore warn Jane and Nash of the strange things happening in time? Will the stalking issue be resolved? Will the fledgling marriage of Jane and Nash survive all this intrigue? Gruesome but interesting ending. I volunteered to review an ARC of this book and recommend it to mystery and thriller lovers.

I'll be honest... When I saw the name of the book on the cover, I was instantly intrigued.
Then I realized there were 5 previous books. I went back and started at the beginning to make sure the review was accurate as possible.

I absolutely devoured these short books in a weeks time. Following Theodore and his sometimes complicated storyline was a unique perspective. Not every day do you get to enjoy books from the POV of the serial killers pet. I loved how the books are written in the subjects 1st person.

It's like if Joe Goldberg from You had a pet cat. An equal blend of humor and thriller that kept me turning the page.

I hope there are more in the future because I can't wait to dive back into Theodore's world.

This Cat Has A Purpose

And he's not one to pussyfoot around! Theodore is so much more than just a cat. I've loved worrying about him and his adopted human, Jane, throughout the series. Monster, the dog, was a wonderful addition to the cast. And the family has grown!

I liked that Jane has grown stronger as she's survived so much. That tragic history doesn't hold her back from seeking out trouble though. She keeps rushing into danger and it seems like she's a magnet for it. This particular situation is too much, even for her. The suspense kept me turning the pages.

JS Ellis has been a wonderful tour guide to Malta and each Theodore adventure has been like a sunny vacation. Thank you to the author and BookSirens for the free advance reader's copy of the book. Reading it was my pleasure, but my review is uninfluenced by their gift. It's a great read!

"As a devoted cat lover, stories where the protagonists are cats are something I am deeply passionate about. Theodore is an incredibly intelligent cat, and I enjoyed this book so much that I was truly surprised by the ending—it left me with a genuine desire for much, much more."
"The story is well-designed, and the narrative is simply phenomenal. J.S. Ellis knows exactly how to connect with readers; I have read several works by this author, and I absolutely love their writing style. I give it a full 5 stars because this story truly captivates you from beginning to end. A big thank you to BookSirens for giving me the opportunity to read this story!"

Theodore The Cat Is Watching is the sixth book in this series by J.S. Ellis. Theodore narrates the story which allows the reader to understand Jane and Nash’s ( the owners) emotional turmoil, confrontation and grief over the loss of Pippa (the female/mother cat and Theodore’s mate) as well as the loss Theodore and his kittens Suki and Tobias are also experiencing.

J.S. Ellis is a master at creating emotional, psychological stories. Webs are spun by using their pasts as well as the danger they are facing.
The Theodore The Cat series is unique and enjoyable.

Another wonderful story about Theodore the cat. I enjoy the way the story is told from Theodore and Jane's perspectives. We do also hear about Nash but it is not told in his voice.

Jane is now married to Nash and lives with Monster the dog, Theodore, Nameless now called Opal and Theo's two kittens.

Once again Jane is thrown into murder and mystery with a stalker as well.

I loved this story.

Book 6 in the series. Jane and Nash are now married and putting the past behind them. Theodore, his two kittens, Nameless ,a stray, and Monster the dog are all living together and getting over the loss of Pippa. Jane accepts a job offer working for an author who is never around. She starts to suspect something isn’t quite right in the household and Theodore snoops around as well. Another fast paced thriller. Thank you to the author for this preview copy. I enjoy this series so much.

I really wanted to like this book more, but it was just ok. I didn't care much for the interaction between Jane and her husband. I didn't think Jane was a very likeable character. The mystery of Frank was just not exciting either. I finished the book and thought this was just an ok, kinda dry mystery.

I love Theodore! He needs a little old lady to take him and his kittens! Jane always seems to find danger and needs Theo to save her! Nash has a stalker and Jane has a dubious new employer! This is NOT a good combo! This was another excellent book. Plenty of action and adventure! Definitely an original exciting story! I highly recommend this book and the whole Theo series!

This is a captivating story told from the point of view of an amazing cat. Theodore and his family take care of their humans, Jane and Nash. Where is the writer that Jane is working for as his assistant?

Fast paced story with plenty of plot twists.

This is the sixth book in the Theodore: The Neighbour's Cat series and I am really enjoying them. Jane and Nash have been married for a year now and are happy. The book is narrated by Theodore the cat so you can better understand the relationship between Jane and Nash. The story tells of the loss of Pippa. Must read series.
