… All Must Pay. . .

FBI Agent Gin Reilly stood in the charred remains of what had once been an upscale nightclub. She stared at the spot on the floor close to her soot-covered boots where there had once been a thick wooden pole. But the fire last night had quickly burst into a raging inferno, reducing the pole to ashes, along with the two men who were still chained to it.

The fire chief had confirmed it was arson, and it wasn’t the first murder found with a sign holding the message “All Must Pay” etched onto its metal surface. That same sign, along with a body count that was now up to five, was also found in three other locations, all in different states. And they wouldn’t be the last ones.

As Gin struggles to find the connection between the victims and a tragedy that happened eighteen years ago, it becomes alarmingly clear that a deranged killer is going to carry out his plan no matter who stands in his way. Even if it means sacrificing a determined FBI agent along with her entire team.

Don’t miss this latest book in the Special Agent Gin Reilly FBI Thriller series as she and her elite team race to solve a puzzle that had its first piece put into place decades ago.

Good Read with surprise ending

Book needs a better proofreader. Several words were interchanged and a few misspelled. It was distracting. I expect better from this author.

Amazing storyline! FBI Agent Gin Reilly stands firm on truth and justice. She depends on evidence and obtaining such, takes time and patience. Four people are found inside a burned-out night club; two workers in a closet and two men handcuffed to a post, all burned to death. The men were covered in accelerant. This is no accident and Special Agent Reilly, along with her team, work endless hours to get answers. Following evidence, they learn others in the United States have been murdered and it is found that in their youth, they knew each other. The story is detailed and heart wrenching to learn of the devastation of a community eighteen years ago. Fans of thrillers will not be disappointed in this book along with the solutions of situations that come to the forefront. This book is filled with excitement and excellent writing. Thanks to the author for keeping me bound to this read.

I WAS ON THE-EDGE-OF-MY-SEAT!

CR CHANDLER is a rock star writer. I’ve been missing Ricki, Anchorman, et al, but Gin Reilly certainly delivers. I love reading about kick-ass women with guts and brains.

This was a real page-turner. A remarkable experience.

So any errors

There were so many typos in the last half of the book that I didn't want to continue reading it. Not sure if will read the next one.

I like this author and I really do enjoy Gin as a character, but this one was a mixed bag. I figured out the culprit halfway through—the clue was so obvious it may as well have been highlighted. That took a lot of the suspense out of the case.

Then there were the misspelled words and mixed-up phrases that kept breaking the flow. A stronger proofreader would’ve done this book a huge favor.

And while I normally love the ongoing storyline about Gin’s father being a serial killer—and the fact that she’s the one who turned him in—this book tried to juggle way too much. The main case, the mystery of possible additional bodies, the tension with her ex on both investigations, plus the bigger “where did the sheriff disappear to?” subplot… it was a lot. And not in a good way.

Honestly, it’s time to pick a lane. The constant plot-within-a-plot-within-a-plot made everything feel cluttered instead of compelling.

Still like the series, still like Gin—this one just needed tighter editing and a clearer focus.
