I LOVE THIS NONSENSICAL SERIES WITH MY WHOLE DAMN HEART😭
Listen, did all the 5 books have almost the exact same plot? yes.
Were all the men completely unhinged but ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE and DOWN BAD for their girls? Yes.
Did they all fall in love at first sight? yes, yes they did.
Did I still enjoy myself? Heck yeah I did!😅
I don't know what it is about this series, but I really don't care about the repetitive plot, the insta-love and insta-lust because it is just so damn fun and funny! C.R. Jane really knows how to write such lovable and down-bad obsessed mmcs that you can't help but giggle at their unhinged antics😅 I will admit though, I consider these books as palate cleansers and comfort reads because I always know what to expect and they always provide entertainment when I am in the mood for something fun.
My absolute favorite part of this whole series is the found family and the guys' friendship, and I think I have mentioned this in every review for these books because it is THE ABSOLUTE TRUTH! I would unironically read a whole 700 page novel of JUST their hilarious text chains✋ Petition for Ms. Jane to start a novella series about the circle of trust 🙏🙏 I would read every single interaction between them no joke😭
And as always, Troy Duran, my absolute favorite narrator💋💋 His hypnotizing gravely voice can make me listen to a whole astrophysics book and I would understand every word 😅😅

Oh Rookie, Oh Rookie ! What an absolute CUTIE you are 😍❤️
Listen this series is for me the same as the Nola Rebels MC series that I follow unconditionally, it’s a comfort series, it’s a series that no matter how repetitive it is I will probably always love it. I know I’m being the hypocrite bitch that I am here because I dislike Rina’s books for the exact same reasons, the reason being that every book is the same. But I can’t help it, you like what you like and that’s it, and in my humble opinion it works for C.R Jane so it is what it is. This series and the Nola despite being the same thing over and over, I love immensely.
Do they have the same traumatic situations involved the girl? Yes. Do they have the same immediate obsession from the guys ? Yes. Do they have the same funny as hell group text ? ALSO yes. And i absolutely eat this shit up for breakfast, lunch and dinner. In fact give me an entire book JUST with their Circle of Trust text messages and I’ll read it. 😂
Here we have Sloane who’s a girl coming from extreme poverty and the death of her mother, she was “rescue” by her uncle after being in the system for 2 years. So she goes to live with said uncle that is rich and powerful. She now is a high end very expensive escort. She is unhappy and trapped.
Than we have our beautiful Logan aka Rookie, who’s obviously a hockey player in the Dallas dream team, the team of THE GOD Lincoln Daniels, the Funniest guy Ari Lancaster, the Disney Prince Walker Davis and the Daddy Camden James. And those guys ARE EVERYTHING, they understand stalker obsessive behavior because they are all like that.
The found family in this group is the best. I love it. I was giggling and kicking my feet with all of them. Logan is the CUTEST and I love him. By the way there is a reason why LINCOLN MOTHERFUCKING DANIELS IS THE GOD AND MY FAVORITE!!!!! What a MAN he is ! His book will forever be my favorite in this series ! Done, I said it ! By the way I Live for how everyone simp over Lincoln, specially Disney and Rookie 😍
Now I just want to say something and it might be a little disconcerting to some people, but I was devastated reading so many reviews here bashing Sloane for her “choice” in a “career “ , first of all if you read the book you’ll understand that it wasn’t a choice it was a manipulation that made her think it was her choice, but regardless of that and even if it was her choice, why are we condemning and judging women and forgiving every despicable act men do? I don’t think bashing and judging women for whatever she does in life or with her body is the way to go, and that’s very sad to me. It feels so shady and slimy to forgive men for the same things we condemn women for. Anyway that just my 2 cents .

Idk; I may sound so insensitive here, but I find it difficult to sympathize with Sloane. Sorry, but she's responsible for her current situation. She wasn't forced by her uncle; sure, he gaslighted her, but she had a choice not to take what he was offering. But she valued safety and not being homeless or broke more, so she agreed to the auction. Four years later, she's still working as an escort. I don't have anything against it, but she obviously didn't want this job. Tbh, I think she could've stopped and walked away at any point after making some money, but she chose not to. I don't think she had a binding contract with her uncle, but I haven't gotten very far yet, so I may be wrong.
Maybe I sound like an idiot because what do I know about her situation when I've never been in that one? But personally, I'd rather go broke and start from scratch than do something that makes my stomach turn every freaking time. Sloane managed to do that before she met her uncle, so she can definitely do it again. I get that it was tough for her, but hey, at least she’s managing just fine on her own. Skimming through her story made me feel uncomfortable as she relived some of the things she did and the clients she worked with. It gave the impression that she endured abuse (and not a job) for years, yet she insisted it was her decision. I'm not really sure how to feel about that.
I grasped onto that. Because they had looked powerful. Beautiful. Like they were enjoying every glamoured second. It was a far cry from my other option of having nothing. I couldn't go back to that. I just couldn't. So even though my heart was pounding so hard I was having trouble breathing, I knew what I needed to choose. [...]

YEARNING & DESEPRATE for her!! Girl in need of rescuing & an obsessed hockey player that will do unhinged things to charm her…but it’s all for her own good so it’s okay

I wish the story did cut back on some of the Circle of Trust commentary. It can get a bit cringy.

This one was a little darker in my eyes since Sloane's job was as a sex worker.
And how she got into that was her uncle because he sorta used her past against her making her think this was the only way to survive. And she sorta blamed herself for everything after. So every job she did she blamed herself. She was on a job when she met Logan she was paid to be an arm-candy/whore. And well she caught the eye of Logab and he made it his mission to get her. Heck he even took out the guy who was supposed to be her "client" Sloane tried to push Logan away but when she finds out he's her next client she's embarrassed he found out what she is. Besides that, he never treated her horribly. He treated her like she was a princess. Which I loved he was never disgusted by her past he always made sure to inform her that she was his and nothing was standing in his way.
He also has appearances and bromances with all the guys ❤️ and the girl squad who brought in Sloane. Everything was so perfect. And I loved how the guys had Logans back. So be warned it is funny lol. And little heartbreaking.
We got hints of the next guy and a new series with baseball!!!
Saftey-it was shown not in a lot of detail Sloane auction and mentions of her work as a sex worker. Nothing else. Her date Tyler never slept with her he was always drinking or Logan made sure nothing happened. There was a kiss but the date forced that on Sloane

As someone who has had a hard life who left a crappy situation at 17 with no money to my name and started a whole other life from nothing I have no respect for Sloan. I know we are all supposed to feel like Sloan had no choice but heres the thing she did she was 18 its jot like she was forced into human trafficking which then yes id feel empathy for her and might have enjoyed the story. No she could have left and looked for a job and made a whole other life for herself at 18 she was just pathetic. Literally she had no good reason to choose the path she did it does not matter that hes her uncle as soon as she realized what he was offering she should have ran. Even if she had to start from scratch with no money it would have been better. She seemed weak pathetic and just dumb at 18 she could have left and changed her life but she chose to willingly put herself in that position and then keep doing it. She could have left escorting at any time but no she stays and continues to do it she is just dumb.

I absolutely love C.R Jane and the Pucking wrong series. But unfortunately The pucking wrong rookie just didn't flow right for myself, sorry 😐
I don't know whether it was because I didn't really gel with Sloane (FMC) or something else. But I found myself skipping pages, even considering not finishing at one point 😬
Sloane is a high class escort, and though I have no beef with sex workers, I just couldn't relate to her at all. And this is where I struggled.
I think what kept me powering through to the end, was the Circle of trust. I love catching up with the guys and those text chats had me creasing up 😂😍

Who would have thought that the Rookie would become my number one of this series 🥹🥹
He was actually perfect. Loved everything about him and Sloane. They were so good together. Great chemistry. Not a ton of angst/longing but just enough to make me feel so much for these characters. Sloane was also fantastic! I think my favorite FMC in the series.
Logan is boy obsessed as soon as he sees Sloane for the very first time. He doesn't let anything or anyone get in his way of getting his girl. He was so sweet with her. The sweetest gestures, always thinking about her and always in her corner defending and protecting her. And SO POSSESSIVE!! Prime book boyfriend.
Literally love them so much.
And as always, I am obsessed with the circle of trust!!! The best banter ever. I am literally lol'ing at every interaction. And Lincoln really stepped up in this book!!! He was so protective of his found family 😭

The book was play. I felt like it was a rinse and repeat of the other books in the series. I did the audiobook and I enjoyed both narrators so it made it a bit better but the plot overall was lacking IMO.

This book had me hooked from the beginning & Sloane's tragic past. Sloane and her story is heartbreaking, but Logan quickly swoops in as her hero. The minute he sees her, he must have her regardless of the roadblocks in his way.
The group Banter in this book had me giggling so hard. These boys are truly another breed.
Sloane & Logan were just perfect...and Sloane truly deserves her crazy ever after with Logan in this one.

Oh Logan is definitely CoT material, he was amazing. Loved as usual the chats and interactions with the boys and girls, the comedy relief on this series is priceless!
Unfortunately this FMC was hard to connect with, I mean yeah you had a rough life but you had other choices before and after, and even though the author tried (and failed) to presented her as a victim (which yeah, she was) it didn’t landed the way she expected but only because Sloane came across as vain and simply dumb, simply choosing “that life” because she didn’t wanted to be poor, girl take Monroe she had to do pretty shitty things in her life and had a rough childhood too but never not even once you get the feeling of her being self center or vain.
This last books are beginning to feel so repetitive and hard to connect with, maybe it’s time to stop and just keep the lovely feelings I have for this series.

Absolutely loved it! How do these books just keep funnier? I’m living for the Circle of Trust texts. This book, really the whole series, is for the people who see the red flags and say yes please! Rookie is a certified crazy man just like the rest of the Circle, and I loved Sloane so much, her story was so heartbreaking. I definitely recommend this one!

Another book, another lack of accountability (well, at least Sloane had a little)
I was lowkey excited for this book, but it wasn’t IT😭
I’m sorry but in what world an eighteen year old doesn’t know what an auction is and what it really means do sell your virginity???? Her uncle manipulated her, FACTS… but he never pointed a G_N over her head to choose that life.
The moment he told her he would threw her on the streets on her eighteenth bday should’ve been the BIGGEST red flag and a huge sign for her to run for her life out of that house.
A good example was Monroe, she was also poor, but never chose that life.
If I understood correctly, she was afraid to be poor again???? So she sell herself CONTINUOUSLY so she couldn’t be on the streets??? Rather work at a cafe or I don’t know cleaning something or even costumer services??
Sorry, maybe I’m cold but at 18 I was not THAT dumb, I knew perfectly that some decisions were NOT good.
And second of all, is Logan unfeeling or I don’t know super human??? Because I’m a woman and if I knew the love of my life was an escort i wasn’t going to accept everything fine like it’s just a stroll in the park,I would feel sad and maybe even grieve bc it’s not a really amazing thing to hear, sorry but let’s not pretend is easy (I would love him regardless but nor excuse his decisions, would talk him and bla bla bla but not make him a victim of circumstances unless he was s€x “tr@ff!cked”)… I know it’s a fiction but this MMC’s are just getting too robotic and a looot exaggerated! Is so sad that it’s been the same plot in this series and the other(the NFL one),for example, the last books are like a copy paste regarding to the FMC’s since Olivia’s book (excluding Ana and Casey but somehow olivia was r@pd but it was unclear in her book since it’s not clarified so I lowkey only got clarified this book so I’m confused): the girl makes wrong decisions regarding sex, is haunted by that past,but miraculously can have s€x (and trust) almost instantly with the MMC, then the guy (or clients in this case) that was part of that past haunts them and the MMC gets unhinged (even more) finds a way to move them together and “defeat” the bad guy…
I love love love dark Romances. My problem with this book or series are not about how unhinged the MMC was, but the lack of plot, the childish convos the COT has and how weak and victimising the last couple of FMC’s are… the best were Monroe,Ana and Casey that’s it.
Love spicy scenes, but in this series, it’s waay (and it’s never too much but in the last books are just a lot!) too much that the plot is forgotten,postponed and rushed it out in the end
i don’t know why I still hope for the best… I think is just the stubborn side of me that doesn’t like to leave an unfinished series.

Mkay, I wasn't sure how I was going to feel about Logan, but he won me over REAL QUICK!
If you've read this series, you know all of the women have incredibly sad/twisted childhoods, but Sloane's may be the most twisted! My heart ached for her, and how resigned she was to how her life was.
All of the men are unhinged for their women, & love them in ways that only the COT can, but I adored how Logan loved Sloane! He would go to the ends of the Earth for her, and then some! He was hilarious as well, but he truly loved her so well!
PS: Geraldine better "live" forever! She is so frikkin hilarious and I love her almost as much as I love these men hahaha!
PPS: The audio is fantastic per usual! Troy Duran and Alexis Paige will always be one of the reasons I recommend this series!

Another fun read from C.R Jane. Yes, it's very predictable and a lot of the scenes are rehashed versions from previous books but I still had a fun time.
Logan is just as obsessive and possessive as the other guys in the Circle of Trust. I love the found family with everyone and the group texts had me laughing so much.
I will read all the books this author writes, they're just such a wild time.
