That Way Lies Madness: A Florida Action Adventure Novel

Rate this book
A deranged killer stalks Florida...a killer whose twisted sense of justice can only be slaked in rivers of blood....

Private Investigator Scott Jarvis is just settling back into some sense of routine after his harrowing adventure in Central America. With Lisa back at his side, Jarvis’ world once again seems right and whole...and this assumption is about to be ripped to shreds!

It starts with a bomb in a police detective’s car and a cryptic note claiming responsibility but only signed with the mysterious name “Shade”. Shade continues to target specific individuals, and it soon becomes clear that they all have one thing in common...Scott Jarvis. As the tension mounts and the stakes rise ever higher, this enigmatic vigilante is soon revealed to be a bloodthirsty lunatic to whom life is cheap and rage fuels a burning desire for retribution.

When a deadly bombing hits too close to home, Scott and Lisa must fit the pieces of the puzzle together and discover Shade’s true identity before the body count smothers them as well. It’s a contest of wills in which there’s no second place!

Mortal danger erupts in this fast-paced, mind-bending battle of wits. Can Jarvis stop a madman before his world and everything he loves is torn apart?

Not bad, but pity about the juvenile characters

Overall I enjoyed this and other Scott Jarvis books. I did however find the juvenile and childish dialogue very annoying. The book would have been much better without it.

More Scott Jarvis Fun!

Mr. Cook is a great storyteller. I was hooked by WWII stories. When I started this series, I was intrigued by his characters. I still am . Being an old guy with rigid English teachers in both high school and college, I get irritated with wrong homonyms. Better proofreading of the final copy is recommended.

Great.Read

Very good story, from the beginning to the end. Keeps you on your toes, with every twist and turn wondering what is coming up next? The pontoon plane was a great twist also.
