In a world where paranormals exist, an ancient gargoyle king and a gifted teek battle not only the hunters who stalk San DeLain, but a coven of evil witches determined to possess unparalleled power.
Ward Tywyll, king of the gargoyles of San DeLain, stumbles upon a dark magic ritual on his land. He intervenes and becomes responsible for a witch, altered by hunters with werewolf, merfolk, and vampire DNA, granting them the Power of Three.
Kayden Lancaster is a telekinetic, or teek. As the owner of Lancaster Construction Company, he was hired to repair the damage caused by the hunters’ attack on Ward’s castle. Instead, he finds himself navigating treacherous waters and facing formidable foes. And dealing with a Fated mate bond neither he nor Ward expected.
Their worlds collide, throwing them into uncharted waters. Kayden grapples with the enormity of their differences, while Ward remains steadfast in unraveling the dangers that threaten them both.
San DeLain continues to be at risk from hunters, and now a fresh threat has arisen, putting all paranormal leaders in jeopardy. Will Ward and Kayden’s relationship endure the upcoming challenges, or will it fall apart?
Brace yourself for a roller-coaster ride of unexpected twists and turns you simply can’t afford to miss.
This series is the third set of books in the world of San DeLain.
Since there will be several series based in this world, and each series will build off the last, I highly recommend reading the series in order.
Daemons of San DeLain is Chasing Shadows #1 Shadows Embrace #2 Of Love and Shadows #3
Dragons of San DeLain Edge of Darkness #1 Walking in Darkness #2 Beyond the Darkness #3
Then the 3rd series will Gargoyles of San DeLain Seduced by Moonlight #1 Book #2 Book #3
M.A. Church is a true Southern belle who spent many years in the elementary education sector. Now she spends her days lost in fantasy worlds, arguing with hardheaded aliens on far-off planets, herding her numerous shifters, or trying to tempt her country boys away from their fishing poles. It’s a full time job, but hey, someone’s gotta do it!
When not writing, she’s on the back porch tending to the demanding wildlife around the pond in the backyard. The ducks are very outspoken. She’s married to her high school sweetheart, and they have two grown children.

Seduced by Moonlight is the first book in the Gargoyles of San DeLain series which is part of the interconnected series. The first part is the Daemons of San DeLain series. The next part is the Dragons of San DeLain series. It is best to read the series in order. This is the story of Ward the gargoyle king of San DeLain and Kayden a telekinetic or teek. I loved this book so much. I love Ward and Kayden, they just fit together so perfectly. I love that we are meeting new characters and have a new villain. I couldn't put this book down once I started. The story kept me trying to figure out what was going to happen next. I love the world building that went into this book and series. I can't wait for the next book in the series. I would definitely recommend this book and the series that go with it as 5 star reads.
This is the first book in the Gargoyles of San DeLain series. As with all the other San DeLain series, it focuses on a different group of San DeLain residents and focuses on a few key personnel. Each series fights a common foe that affects everyone. I would highly recommend that you read this series in order. Starting with the Daemons of San DeLain first. Then the Dragons of San DeLain. Which will lead you right into this book, Seduced by Moonlight.
Unsurprisingly, I loved this book. The characters are crisp and vivid. The descriptions make you feel like you are there with the characters. This book focuses on Ward Tywyll, Alpha King of the Gargoyles of San DeLain and Kayden Lancaster, a Telekinetic (Teek) and owner of a paranormal construction company. Ward has hired Kayden to repair the damage done to his castle during the previous series. He wants it fixed but still to respect and reflect the integrity of the castle. Also a few modern updates but they must be hidden. Good thing that Kayden and his team are experts at stonework.
Of course there are problems along the way. The hunters have not been all eliminated yet and certain witch covens are trying to gain even more power through black magic. Though the biggest magic may be the spark of awareness and energy that runs through Ward and Kayden immediately upon meeting. No a big fan of workplace romances, that obstacle is removed when the construction company is attacked leaving the worksite. The contract is cancelled until everyone's safety can be guaranteed. This is their story.
The book is very well written and easy to read. I love how the interpersonal relationships are starting to develop. This is the first book in this series and it will an over arcing storyline of the same villain to be defeated. I can't wait to read more of this series. I loved this book and found it very entertaining. I really enjoyed it. My only complaint is that now I have to wait for book 2!
What I like most of this world of San DeLain is how realistic it is being a paranormal world with magic and different especies. We have prejudices, better and worse individuals in every kind of creature, different cultures have their own customs... This way every new creature we see has something unique that makes the book new and fresh. We new about the gargoyles but haven't encounter one till this book, where Ward people are the majority and we learn about them. They have some quirks, their characteristics are not the same that those of the dragons or the daemons. Ward is their king and Kayden his mate, Kayden is not a paranormal, is somewhat a second class citizen being a telekinetic, not belonging with the humans neither the paranormals. This story is slow, we feel how their feelings evolve in the book, how they change the way they see each other and how their need to be together grows with time. They have people they care about and that is the most important thing for both of them, but with time both groups find common ground and grow closer two. This book was great, I enjoyed it a lot, to me it's the best in this world. I felt their struggles, worry about them and happiness when things go well. The writing is good, same as the editing, the story is engaging and the characters relatable and well built, it has also a great world building, so I recommend it heartily.
This is the first book in the San DeLain world and features Ward, the gargoyle king, and Kayden, a telekinetic. Ward hired Kayden’s crew to help restore the damage to his castle. Kayden is team leader of his motley crew which consists of shifters and humans. One night Ward is out on his land when he hears the crows and a fox came out to him. He realized that something evil was happening on his land. When he saves Rihanna, he brings her to the castle to heal. When he meets Kayden the next day, he has an instant attraction. Kayden also feels the same way about Ward. This is the start of the story with how they realized what they are to each other and having a common enemy. I am loving this world and I cannot wait to read more.
Seduced By Moonlight is book one in MA Church's Gargoyles of San DeLain series. Gargoyles follows the Daemon and the Dragon's series. Ward Tywyll, Alpha King of the Gargoyles of San DeLain hires Kayden Lancaster, a Telekinetic (Teek) and owner of a paranormal construction company for repairs on his castle. Ward and Kayden are attracted to each other, but this is going to be a slow burn series per the author. Lots more time for deep kisses and pining! Witches join the villain brigade along side the not yet defeated hunters. World building is excellent. Lots of Gargoyle Councilors to chose from for the next two books. It's a great start to what's gonna be an amazing series. Can't wait for book two. I received an advanced copy of this book and this is my review.
Ward, gargoyle king, finds Rhianna on his land, a victim of evil magic which puts a target on her back and offers to protect her. Kayden is a teek who's called in to help shore up the protection around Ward's castle and land. Immediately there's a connection between them in the form of a fated mate bond. Neither were expecting it. Ward has to balance protecting his people and getting Kayden on board with the idea of a bond because he feels inadequate to Ward. I'm really enjoying the start to this next segment in the San Delain world and I can't wait for more.
Good lord. It's not the first in the series if you need to have read a million others to have a hope of figuring out any of the who / what / why of the context.
So much telling, pages and pages of summaries. Stilted dialogue. "Conversation flowed easily between them". Great. Where is it?
The blurb says "dealing with a Fated mate bond neither he nor Ward expected..." This isn't mentioned until around the 80% mark. I give up. Dnf @83% because I can't face hauling myself over the finish line.
Seduced by Moonlight is the first in the Gargoyles of San DeLain series. It introduces us to Ward, the Gargoyle king and Kayden, a teek. I freaking loved this book, their story was perfect, flowed exactly like it should. There’s an ongoing story arch that continues into the next book but it leaves us with a hea for now and definitely wanting more in that world. Excellent side characters that I would love a story for, especially Tank! Overall, excellent!
This book was once again truly amazing. M.A church is such an amazing other. I love teacher books and discovering her take on the different mythological characters. This time we get a better insight into the gargoyle clan of San de lain and a telekinetic. The spice factor was hot and the romance was sweet.
I have to say I am always fascinated to read about new worlds with Gargoyles. I loved the world building in this first of the series. Ward is the Gargoyle King, and he needs Kayden for his security. I really liked Kayden having the tele powers. There was such a great balance of storytelling, interesting characters and romance to be read!
I was so EXCITED about this new series, and this book was such a fantastic start. Ward is a gargoyle king, and Kayden is a teek. These two meet, and they have a strong connection. The story is absolutely awesome, and I enjoyed the characters, and the story had me hooked. I am so thrilled for the next books.
This was a wonderful story, and the characters were amazing. From the very beginning it caught my interest, and I could not stop reading it. When I ended, I was almost heart broken. I hope #2 is soon to be published. Strongly recommend reading.
A brilliant introduction to the gargoyles and what a fantastic new villain. Once again you're pulled into the fantastic world of M.A. Church and San De Lain. Couldn't put this one down and now desperately waiting for the second instalment!
Kayden is a Telekinetic and owner of a construction company, Ward is the Gargoyle King. They meet when Kayden goes to the Gargoyle castle to start on repairs with his crew. Trouble finds them and while Kayden and his friends are guests at the castle, Kayden and Ward grow closer.
This book is a great beginning to the next San DeLain series. I loved it.
Another phenomenal visit to San DeLain. It's the gargoyles turn to find their mates and this is a fantastic start to this new series. Wonderful characters and a storyline that had me invested from page one. I can't wait to come back.
It's a great start to the next series. It's a slow burn, but I can already foresee that things will hot up really fast. I'm enjoying it, and I do recommend.
I wasn't expecting this book to end so abruptly. It was good but it did leave the reader hanging. Looking forward to the next book so I can see what happens next.
I am enjoying finally getting to know Ward and his people. I like Kayden for him as well. It will be nice to see them further strengthen their relationship.
