Devil

Rate this book
Death and carnage reigns on the Isle of Wight, brought to the once tranquil holiday location by the mysterious dust that was dropped from the sky.
Now Zoe, survivor of all that has come before, and her latest companion, the elderly Bert, are headed to a remote farmhouse that might have belonged to the twisted mind behind the horror, seeking not just refuge but answers.
Meanwhile Fester, the huge psychotic white Cane Corso is headed to the same location, rushing towards it like the devil himself.

I thought the first chapter was so messed up that it only had to get better from there, right???? Wrong. This book is brutal, it’s disgusting, and it’s fucking awesome! This series has been a wild ride… I hope this isn’t the end! Thank you, as always for the ARC… it is a privilege to read for you! 🫀🫀🫀🫀🫀

This part of the series covers Gomez's (God) brother, Fester. Fester is trying to get home to his Mother. Meanwhile Bert and Zoe (Eden) continue to look for help. What ensues is absolute CARNAGE!!! Bloody, visceral, and down right sickening. These stories continue to suck me in. They also make me question my sanity.

If you are reading this series you will know what to expect, a fantastic read that is brutal, gory with some humour thrown in for good measure, this time Fester goes on the rampage and Zoe goes to the farmhouse where the deadly bug was created……

"Devil" (in contrast to "God," the book featuring the other puppy of this sickening and absolutely disgusting series), is the final installment of Gomorrah's Season One - the fifth entry, and the only one providing some sort of closure to Zoe's story of descent into urban hell, the single character we still recognize throughout all previous books.

Although I wouldn't consider Zoe by any means the star of the series (I don't think there is one with such a large cast), she's one tough cookie, having survived every kind of atrocity possible that can be perpetrated on a woman (not to mention her own infection by the virus!). And here she's finally coming face to face (face to snout?) with Fester, the most awful doggie ever seen in recent horror fiction (at least Cujo had an excuse; Fester, however, grew up to be a psychopath, if there can be psychopaths among dogs).

Fester is going back home to have another taste of his Mother (don't ask!), and he's not only consumed by lust, he's on a rampage! So keep your children safe, lock your men indoors, and guard your women - coz Fester makes no distinctions! He's the real article: a Devil in disguise.

" You either Love it or Hate it!"
Where to start...
Release date April 8th.
Fester is just a pup who wants to get home to mother. To experience her warmth once more. To be loved and to love her back.
These wholesome endeavours are thwarted by obstacles that come in the shape of people. Fester navigates these obstacles in the fashion we have all come to love...
Kelvin gave zero literacy foreplay, he went in hard from the offset. Balls deep into the fuckery, man, woman, child bloody chihuahua... No one is safe!
He rips his way savagely through this story, teeth tearing, testicles swinging and terrifyingly unrelenting.
Poor Zoe is once again caught in the chaos that is the inanis. Can she survive? She 'Mar'mite...she Mar'mite not!
This gore infused culmination of this series goes out on an absolute high!
Again, this one has pretty much all the triggers, no holds barred, brutal from start to finish.
An easy 5💀💀💀💀💀

DEVIL
By Kelvin V A Allison - author

I typically start my reviews out with a quote from the book. I regret to inform you all that every quote I wanted to use would have gotten me permanently banned. 😅

On that note—we have the final installment of the first phase of the Gomorrah series with book number five… and it is fucking brutal. 💀 I have a weird thing for umbilical scenes in extreme horror or splatterpunk books and lol, oh boy did this have one. 😂😭

I feel like this review needs to be on the shorter end or I’ll give away too much. But follow Fester the Cane Corso, and Eve along with Bert on this absolutely vile and unhinged tale of depravity and violence. 🤌🏼 If you have any triggers, I’m sorry, this one isn’t for you. But for everyone else, 10/10 recommend! Kelvin knocked it out of the park again! And I cannot wait to see what the second phase of this amazing series has in store for us.

This book releases on April 8th! Make sure to catch up on the other four before then. 😝

If you're considering this, the 5th book in the series, then you're aware of the absolutely insane carnage that you're about to read!
We're now all invested in Zoe's desperate fight for survival but, in this book we also follow Fester in his desperate attempt to get home to his Mammy.
The author doesn't hold back in this book and carries on the momentum of the story, in a genius mixture of the worst horrors known to man, sadness, fantastic characters and a splash of humour (albeit dark).
The double Whammy ending has left me excited for the possibility of more and heartbroken at the same time.

The story of what happens after the men, women and children are annihilated by the Inannis bug. This is Festers story.

This is a back and forth of Zoe and Fester and my God I thought the others were bad 🤢 this one keeps up with that same pace and doesn't let up. Must say this one made me feel mildly ill but that serves me right for eating while reading 😂
Absolutely disgustingly good and written in the same style as the others so you know you are in for one gruesome gross ride. Some bits were sad and others I was cheering triumphantly so we had some ups and downs of emotions. An excellent addition to the series!

A fitting end for a gruesome series. Once again, Kelvin pulls no punches as we read about Fester, a dog just trying to find its way home. It's almost surreal that this series is over. Or is it? I have a feeling the author is pulling my leg and we'll see another book in the series or a spinoff of some sort.

The details in the book are not for the faint of heart, but for an extreme horror story, it was great. It was a series that made me question my sanity, haha.

Personally, I hope this is not the actual end of the series, but if it was it was a fun read!

I was lucky enough to read this absolute beast of a book and I was not disappointed, it’s as brutal as the other 4 books in the Gomorrah series and I loved it , it’s fast paced , gory , twisted and at times stomach churning , if you liked the other 4 you’ll love this , if you didn’t like the other 4 then you need to reread them 10/10 all day long

A fantastic end to a fantastic series. The author wraps up this brutal book with the promise of yet more carnage to come. And personally I cannot wait. Fester is such a good boy

Devil, the final book in Phase One of the Gomorrah series, wraps up with Fester, the large Cane Corso travelings to get home to his beloved Mom. along the way, we read about more carnage, destruction, and absolute brutality of both human and the canine variety. A wonderful wrap-up to phase one and, of course, a solid five out of five read for all seeking something delightfully bleek and beautifully disgusting.

The dust cloud moves with the wind, the cycle of infection ripe for those who breathe it for the first time. Zoe and Bert are determined to find evidence, seeking out the farmhouse where it all started.

But someone else is heading home. Fester needs Mother and he’ll feed with frenzy along the way.

The culmination of the first series, this is a brutal as it gets. If you have any triggers, you will find them in here - be warned!

I can’t wait for the next season.
