Half a second, half a year, or half a lifetime—love pays no mind to time. You might as well surrender.
MEGHAN
I run the Columbus social scene with poise, wit, and the perfect hostess smile. Everyone thinks they know me—the polished Price heiress who never puts a foot out of place. But behind closed doors, I'm torn between two men who make me feel more alive than any society function ever could: my brother's brooding best friend who I've loved forever, and the devilishly charming Italian who was supposed to be just a fling. Now I'm facing a choice that could cost me everything I've built.
WICK
Control. That's what I'm good at. Running mergers, closing deals, keeping my feelings for Meghan locked down tight. Then Marco Rossi swaggers into my carefully ordered world with his wicked mouth and knowing eyes, making me question everything I thought I knew about myself. Now I'm caught between the woman I've always wanted and the man who's awakening desires I never knew I had. And for the first time in my life, I'm completely out of control.
MARCO
Everything I touch turns to gold—campaigns, clients, casual conquests. But beneath my carefree facade, I'm desperate to prove I'm more than just my father's disappointment. When I fall for Meghan Price, I think I've finally found something real. I didn't count on also falling for her gorgeously uptight almost-boyfriend. Now I'm all in on the most daring campaign of my convincing them both that three hearts are better than two. Because sometimes the biggest risks bring the greatest rewards.
Time’s Surrender is the second interconnected standalone in The Price of Love series with a guaranteed HEA.
Lauren Kiser is making the contemporary romance genre a little bit sweeter—and a whole lot steamier. Navigating life from the driver's seat of her minivan, this Midwest mom of two transforms the daily grind into sizzling adventures, capturing the hearts of readers who like their love stories with a side of sass.
If you loved *Fate’s Ambition (The Price of Love 1)*, you will undoubtedly enjoy this sequel! Elsie Kay has truly poured her heart and soul into this installment, bringing back all the beloved characters from the first book.
**Spice rating: 🌶️🌶️🌶️**
Following the events of *Fate’s Ambition*, Emmett and Callie are navigating their future together: they are engaged, working on new projects, and planning their wedding. Emmett’s sister, Meghan, and Callie’s best friend, Marco, have grown closer since the last book. However, Meghan still harbors feelings for her long-time friend, Wick. Wick, not wanting to jeopardize his friendships with the Prices, has kept his long-standing feelings for Meghan a secret. As time passes, Wick becomes increasingly jealous of Meghan and Marco's relationship, desiring Meghan for himself. Who will Meghan ultimately choose?
I appreciated that Elsie Kay continued the story of her previous protagonists while also giving Marco, Wick, and Meghan their own spotlight in this sequel. The author accomplishes this seamlessly, which is something I always look for in a romance series. Additionally, I loved the twists and the depth of emotions throughout the book, as they significantly contributed to the characters' development.
If you’re looking for an enemies-to-lovers, forbidden romance with a touch of spice, then this is a must-read!
Elsie has done it AGAIN! Wow. I thought something was going on with these three in the first book, Fate’s Ambition… I was right and we got a whole dang book for this lovely throuple!
The heart wants what the heart wants, and for Meghan Price, she wants her forever crush and brother’s best friend Wick. But, she also is catching some feels for her FWB, the Italian stallion, Marco.
The tension between these three is so thick, I’ll say it’s THICCCCC with multiple c’s and I loved every moment of it. It was so nice to see Wick, Marco & Meghan evolve throughout the book, not only as individuals but also together in their relationship.

Ahhhh!! I thought the first book was good; but, my oh my, this one was fabulous! This book follows the other Price sibling, Meghan Price. It also involves Emmett’s best friend, Wick, and Callie’s best friend, Marco. This is not a story about a duo, this story is about a trio! The spice in this book is ramped up from the first one and ohmagoodness! The spice be spicin’. The banter is on point and the text bubble conversations are swoon worthy. Again, the flow and pace of this book made it such an easy read and was read in a day. The amazing tropes that are included in this book: *Brother’s best friend *Love Triangle *Multi POV *MMF *Friends to lovers

Elsie generously sent me an ARC of this book. After reading "Fate’s Ambition," I was eagerly anticipating Megan's story, and it did not disappoint. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
This book offers a refreshing take on romance, diverging from the usual writing style of a love story and delivering something much more unique. While it initially sets up what seems like a typical love triangle, it soon evolves into a much more complex and engaging narrative. The story is a powerful exploration of forbidden romance, filled with emotional challenges that kept me hooked. It's a delightful blend of fun and cuteness, with just the right amount of spice to keep things exciting. I absolutely adored the characters and their journey. If you haven't already, you definitely need to dive into this series. 😃
Meghan is the socialite that everyone underestimates. From the outside, people think she is spoiled & stuck up, when in reality she works hard & gives back to the community.
Marco is forever bound to live in his father's shadow. He has been raised to follow the straight & narrow, with the expectation of taking over the family business one day.
Wick thought he had his whole life planned - land the perfect job, meet the perfect woman & marry her. It turns out the ideal woman for him is not Beth, and love isn’t black & white.
I'm a sucker for an interconnected series, and Elsie Kay did not disappoint with book two in The Price of Love series.
What I thought would be your typical love triangle was so much more. I loved watching Meghan, Marco & Wick navigate their feelings for one another & overcome the obstacles that society throws at those who don’t fit the “normal” mold.
Elsie did an exceptional job of weaving the story between three points of view & allowing the reader to connect with each character & understand their thoughts & feelings.
I cannot wait to get my hands on book three & am (impatiently) waiting for Elsie's next masterpiece.
A fun contemporary romance that initially has you thinking it’s being set up as a typical love triangle between the FMC, her friend’s old roommate turned friends-with-benefits, and her brothers best friend/long time crush, but it turns into a whole lot more! Spicy with a good plot and character development.
Elsie delivers a book that is fun, sweet, romantic, exciting, and full of everything a good contemporary romance needs! I didn’t expect anything less after Fate’s Ambition. Elsie writes in a way that is easy to relate to, the characters jump off the page, and isn’t afraid to write in a voice that is confident and proud.
Meghan, Marco, and Wick are each complex in their own way. Meghan is viewed as life being handed to her on a silver platter, yet she is hard working, takes an active role in her community, and isn’t the socialite everyone things she is. Marco was born into the family business, living in the shadow of his father. He is trying to forge his own path and find the light that he can shine in. Wick thought he found love, but he was wrong. He thought love had cleared rules and boundaries, but he is learning that love is messy and some people make their own rules.
As the three of them explore their feelings for one another, lines become blurred, feelings become entangled in ways no one saw coming, and they each becoming comfortable with who they are and what they want. Not only from life and for themselves, but from each other. The known cliché of “it takes to halves to make a whole” is thrown out the window, as in their case it may just be more like “it takes three pieces to make a whole”.
Elsie writes this book in such a way that it went beyond the normal love triangle theatrics. It was obvious she approached this topic with real heart and mindfulness. With three POVs throughout the story, it could be easy to muddy the plot line and difficult to keep the story line clear and concise. Elsie masters both. Each character is needed to make this story great and the story line was never anything but consistent. She also brought back characters we already loved and gave us a look inside their lives now. I can't wait for book 3!!
As always review trigger warnings before reading.

3.5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️ I enjoyed the book overall but it become repetitive and redundant. I would have liked more closure for Marco’s work situation and found things with Wick to contradict what was said/done in other parts of the book.
Another great read from Elsie Kay! Conventional yet surprising in all the right ways (not to mention exceptionally spicy), this was a real page-turner!
Picked this up off my shelf and deeply regret how love it took me to pick it up! I flew right through this in a matter of a few hours and it was exactly the quick, spicy, but still had some elements of drama that I needed!
OHHH.MY.GAWD. ELSIE DID IT AGAIN!! This was way better AND hotter than I expected. I love everything about this book. The dedication, the plot and its execution, the pace, and their chemistry, it was all sooo good. The characters - Meghan, Marco, and Wick have my heart. THE TENSION!? It was brewing nice and slow and THE SMUT WAS SMUTTINGGG
The sexual awakening was written so well. The self-doubt, the denial, coming to terms with what you want, the fear, etc. felt genuine. I'm sad now that I've finished the book. I just can't get enough of 'em!
Check out this book to read about three wonderful characters, who embraced their love for each other to find their happily ever after :) Thank you, BookSirens and Elsie for the e-ARC.
