This book is absolutely phenomenal! Hurst has knocked it out of the park with Declan and Hayden. This book does end in a cliffhanger that had me yelling for more because I need to know what happens next. Three Times as Dirty: Part One is steamy but also packs an emotional punch that made me not want to put this book down until I was finished.
Declan and Hayden are hot and have so much chemistry. They are definitely my favorite MM couple from any author and I don't think I would ever get sick of reading about them. I am excited to see what happens in part two and how they add a female into their dynamics.
This is a must read!!!

Impulse buy... I bought this on a random impulse. And when I say it hoookkkkeeedddd me. I didn't go into this expecting this level of emotional depth. Not in a bad way, just thought it was going to be a sweet contemporary body guard/ military man with a little B♡$M thrown in. Instead I laughed, cried, learned things, felt things. Saw humanity in a way that I wasn't expecting.... saw hearts break in a way I wasn't expecting. This was stunning and thank goodness I impulse bought Part 2 so I can start it right now.

I can’t even form words right now… I was stunned threw the whole book and all the turn of events had me clutch my hand in front of my mouth the whole time…well that and all the filthy, really hot stuff.
Absolutely fantastic book!!!
I love Hayden & Declan soo much and the cliffhanger really left me hanging and I have to fight a lot with my nonexistent patience right now!
I’m very excited for book 2 and the introduction of their woman and how that will work out…

I couldn't put this book down. Hayden and Declan captivated me from the beginning. Their character development was fantastic. They both grew as they came to terms with their relationship. The character cross over was an added bonus,! Can't wait for book 2 so I can see how they are going to get their HEA.. the cliffhanger had me gripped.

Came across this by accident... so glad that I did! what an epic story so far! loved the characters. loved the angst. loved the spice. loved the heartbreak too even if it did make me cry! now to see how their story ends...

I received an Advanced Reader Copy and am voluntarily reviewing it. We are back with the Holts. I have grown to love this family. When Ms. Hurst puts out a book that does not include the Holts, I go through withdrawals. I need them all the time even if it is just on the sidelines. If you have been reading Ms. Hurst books, these characters will be familiar to you. These books take place before Jackson and Katie's books. Readers get a chance to see how these character became the family we know and love.
Hayden Marin is an active Marine out on the town looking for some fun for one night. That's all he ever does. He sees Declan Holt and all bets are off. These big guys fit together like puzzle pieces. Hayden allows Declan to reveal a side of him that does not often get revealed. There is something there that both are willing to explore. Their exploration somehow leads to them getting married. What happens in Vegas does not always stay in Vegas. Instead of immediately getting an annulment, these two continue the relationship. Something is missing. Declan needs an outlet for all sides of himself. Can Declan handle Hayden's career? Hayden has a past. Declan holds on to a secret because of Hayden's past. Everybody has told Declan that is not a good way to go, but Declan can't seem to let it out. What happens to the two of them when Declan's secret comes out? Hayden is blindsided. Don't worry there is a part two. Yes, this book ends on a huge cliffhanger. Be ready. Declan and Hayden are sexy. The things they do together are off the charts steamy. I really enjoyed getting to know characters that I had already grown to love. I cannot wait to read part two of this story. I miss Hayden and Declan already. Three Times as Dirty: Part One does exactly what it says on the tin, and then some. It’s steamy, fast paced, and packed with emotional tension, all set against a gritty military backdrop that gives the story a little extra edge.
Hayden and Declan have serious chemistry, the kind that crackles off the page. Add in Lucia, and things get even more interesting. She’s not just there for the spice (though there’s plenty of that); her backstory adds depth and makes the dynamic between the three feel layered and real.
The plot doesn’t waste any time, it hits the ground running and keeps you hooked all the way through. The balance of heat, emotion, and action is spot on, and the BDSM elements are written with care and intention, never just thrown in for shock value.
And yes, there’s a cliffhanger….but it’s the kind that makes you immediately want to grab the next book, not throw your Kindle. If you’re into high heat romance with strong characters and a touch of danger, this one’s absolutely worth diving into.

May 19, 2025Another must read from this amazing author - please be aware that this book ends in a cliffhanger, the author has clearly stated this, but sometimes warnings don’t get read due to the hurry to get on with the book as soon as possible! (Been there, done that, thought not in this occasion!!) Two strong, like minded tops meet up and have a hot steamy night together, not what either was expecting but their relationship takes off,and the story will keep you turning the pages. So much going on, can’t wait for the next book. Great book.

Sara has a great way to write her books and characters that you want to just follow them and get sucked right in! This is an MM military hurt comfort book and it's all there - it's very steamy very fast, but also deep and with great relationships. I love Sara's books! Can't wait for part two.

Having read the blurb, I was aware that this wasn’t a complete story – the author made it absolutely clear that the third member of this triad wouldn’t appear until the second book, so there was no surprise there. I read this as a mm romance, with a view to things opening up.
The relationship between the two men started from a very hot one night stand, and I enjoyed their interactions, the way that they opened up to each other and the way that they handled things initially – two tops meeting was bound to cause a clash and I loved how they were together. I liked how welcoming the Holt family were to Hayden and the fact that they were encouraging Declan to be honest – it was very much appreciated that they didn’t go the whole ‘what if he’s a gold-digger’ route.
However, the cliffhanger made me feel so mad! The secret that Declan was keeping was ridiculous and utterly obvious to anyone with half a braincell. I seriously don’t understand how Hayden didn’t figure it out – maybe not the full figures but the basic concept should have occurred to him. I also didn’t understand why he was giving Mara so much power – he knows how toxic she is and what an evil person and yet, he still allowed her that success. It was truly mind-boggling and it made the ending so much more irritating.
I will probably get part two to find out how they fix things between them as well as introducing a third, but given the choice now I would probably wait until both parts were available before reading.

Where do I start with how much I love Declan and Hayden? These two are just utter perfection. Swoon-worthy, lickable, huggable, and so freaking hot!!! The sparks that fly between Hayden and Declan across the crowded room the first time they lay eyes on each other are insane. I want that. To feel an instant attraction so strong that they can't wait to put their hands on each other is over the top incendiary! It's not all sweetness, though. These two have such strong attitudes and appetites that watching their power struggle unfold is irresistibly delicious. My little heart went pitty-pat, and my feet were kicking with glee. The conflicts they face are real, but when isn't life? And the cliffie you are left hanging off?? OMG!! I need to know how the author resolves this. It's a good thing that the second part comes out almost immediately. I'm going to reread this part while I wait. Three Times as Dirty is worthy of more than 5 stars!!

I'm running out of words to describe Sara Hurst's books. How many times can I say she's a brillant, magnificent, incredibly talented writer before I need to start making up my own words? Because she's all of the above and more. I love her Holt Family universe, and I'm incredibly grateful I get to be part of her team.

I have read lots of Sara’s military books and this didn’t disappoint. The majority of this book happens on leave so not much military action in this one. Declan and Hayden however are off the charts hot. Both tops wanting control but something about Hayden makes Declan want to give in to him. They are amazing together though everything happens so quickly and after a trip to Vegas, there’s no going back.
Hayden has bad memories of his first love who came from a rich family and left him not want relationships any more. But Declan seems so down to earth even if his family’s beach house does look OTT. It's fast paced and happens over a relatively short period of time when Hayden is in between ops. Being the their time together is always short and the attraction is so strong, they wont have important conversations and lots of things are left unsaid until they blow up in Hayden’s face leaving both men distraught and we’re left with a cliffhanger. I can’t wait to dive into book two to see how they get their HEA.

Three Times as Dirty: Part One blew me away—I was hooked from the first page and couldn’t put it down. Hayden and Declan’s chemistry is electric, and the emotional depth layered beneath all the heat kept me glued to the story. Add in a gritty military backdrop, hurt/comfort themes, and that intense cliffhanger? I was clutching my Kindle and yelling for more 😱🔥

I loved it and couldn't put it down!!!! I loved Declan and Hayden, and I loved them together, their chemistry if off the charts, their interactions feel so real, and even if I usually don't like miscommunication, here it's really well conducted and did not prevent me to enjoy the story. This is the first part of a two parts book, and the ending is a real cliffhanger, thankfully the second part is coming soon and I can't wait.
I also loved to have a glimpse of characters from previous books: Saving Him and Wanting Him, but no worries no need to read those before reading this one, even if I recommend them ;-)

What started as a hook up but became so much more. The chemistry was there from the moment their eyes met and wow they did have chemistry.
I loved how they got their relationship to work for them, especially after that night in Vegas and communication was the key, except for one small secret that Declan was hiding.
This book had me hooked as I watched them learn about each other and after that cliffhanger I am looking forward to what happens next.

I loved Hayden and Declan so freaking much. Their chemistry is off the chart and they are so sweet together. I loved the family times they had and the "Son, we are from Texas. The whole family speaks Spanish." made me laugh so hard!!! That cliffhanger though... grrr!!! I can't want to see what happens in the next book, and the fact that it will be MMF has me desperate!!

Holy cliff hanger!!! This is a NTM author and the first of her books I’ve ever read, and I will def be back for book 2 even though its an MMF and I was really hoping for MMM, but with the excitement and the way book one ended there is no way i could stay away. Also beware that book one is only MM as the third has not made its way into the story yet. I honestly can’t wait to see how everything comes together for that HEA!!

Another amazing story by Sara and book 2 is out soon. Thank goodness. Sara always gives her readers richly described characters and locations to get lost in. Her plot twists in this book are so good and she has mixed chemistry, humor, tug at your emotions and sweetness to keep those pages turning. And there's a cliffhanger.

What a fantastic read that! Loved the mc's Declan and Hayden who have such a brilliantly intense chemistry between them, sizzling hot! I was completely pulled in to their relationship journey and seriously need the next book!! Dont want to give anything away as you really need to read it! Highly recommend

Declan finds out the hard way keeping a secret is not good. His family encouraged him to be open with Hayden but he kept putting it off until he found out in the worst way possible. Being rich has it drawbacks I guess! Great book and I'm looking forward to part two.

The smut was hot but the plot and characters didn't pull me in and was a bit irritating at times.
Part 1 is MM, but Part 2 is MMF where Declan and Hayden add an F, so even though things are not resolved in this book, I won't be reading Part 2.
