“A tragic tale where love doesn’t conquer all.”

Time stands still when Adeline “Della” and Tyler lock eyes for the very first time. Their love is instant, but something sinister threatens to break them apart. Pursuing a long distance relationship was never part of Della’s plan. Her home has always been in Adelaide and Tyler is based in Sydney. Will they find a way to make it work – to share their future lives together?

Their love is strengthened as they find ways to connect physically across distant state borders, but when Della plans to move to Sydney permanently ostensibly for work and study, Tyler isn’t so sure. He’d thought he would graduate from school and then spend the rest of his life with beloved Della, but all that changes when one bad decision has devastating consequences for Tyler.

As Tyler’s life spirals downwards with a drug addiction, he is plagued with friendship and financial troubles. Della is convinced there is more to it as she watches him falling through the rabbit hole. Will her unwavering commitment to their relationship be enough to keep Tyler out of trouble, or has their future together fallen through before it has even begun?

Hello! My name is Ellie Cram and I have just released my debut novel, Fallen Through. It follows two adolescents, Tyler and Adeline 'Della', who fall in love, and pursue a relationship.

Unfortunately, after being peer pressured by his friends, Tyler falls into drug addiction and it is up to Della and his friends to help him through.

It is a raw and gritty novel, filled with triggering themes that may hit close to home. Please be mindful when engaging with this novel as it isn't one for the faint hearted.

Ellie Cram’s debut novel is filled with rollercoasters of emotion, spiraling the reader further down a staircase of pain and love.

Overall, this book was a wonderful read with intense characters and a captivating narrative. She conveyed emotion, depth, and trauma in ways that gripped the reader and kept their attention. The swap between perspectives kept the reader engaged in each of Della and Tyler’s lives, leaving their own thoughts on their actions. The ending had me in tears because of the beautiful emotion conveyed!

With the positives there are also things I noticed that I’d like to share my constructive thoughts on!
During many moments of the novel, I found an unnecessary repetition of Della and Tyler’s need to let the reader know how much they adore each other. Some scenes felt like filler moments and had no push to the plot. While they are great reminders of the two’s intense admiration for each other, these continuous repeats began to get mundane, as it was proven they loved each other endlessly.
In addition, some of the dialogue felt unnatural, especially between Della and Tyler. Some moments didn’t feel like a real-life conversation with the way they talked to each other, and it felt like more of a romanticized fantasy. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but removed the realism aspect for me personally.

Overall, Ellie Cram did a fantastic job with her debut novel! I am greatly looking forward to future novels she writes and recommend this book!

An amazing book on teenage romance as it blossoms into adulthood and the issues of drugs in today's world.
I couldn't put the book down, I was drawn to the characters and could relate heavily to the relationship and aspects throughout the novel. An emotional roller coasters getting frustrated, happy and everything else in between with the story.
A must read for anyone, as its helped me process some of my own past and events.

Thank you Ellie for the mini mention as a character too!

This is a really edgy, gripping, and gritty tale of love, life, and ... if I say any more there will be spoilers, but this debut Author, Ellie Cram, has created a page turner romance, that realistically does not necessarily have a happy ending - intriguing, eye-opening, honest... just wow! Love it!
