I listened to the audiobook version of this story and holy cliffhanger!!! Dominik and Zoe’s story is one very slow burn but boy is it worth it. The story itself is sort of slow paced but the dual timelines provide great insight to these two characters. It does have the typical brother’s best friend angst but Dom’s obsession with Zoe is deliciously sinful. He tried so hard to fight his feelings for her for years and to see him finally give in… pure satisfaction. The cliffhanger though… omg I’m glad I have book 2 already or I’d lose it! The narration by Alora Daniel and Brandon Francis was good and I feel like it captured the characters pretty well.

Audiobook Review

Shattered Obsession is the first book in the Hudson Yards series. Zoe is being transferred to the New York office. She has never been taken care of. Her parents always verbally abused her. Told her that they should have gotten ride of her and never showed her love. She went to a BD$M party to experiment with which kinks she might enjoy. It was a masked event. She met a masked man that let her dabble in the kinks she wanted and made her feel safe for the first time. That masked man set her standards very high for future men. Now she has to move in with her older brother. Now living with her brother his best friends will be around a lot more. Dom is Zoe’s brother’s best friend. He has never been able to forget about Zoe.

Alora Daniel and Brandon Francis did a fantastic job narrating this book.
