A fun and informative deep dive into the original first dozen or so issues of the Amazing Spider-Man and what authors can learn from them.
To be fair, at first I was unsure about the scene-by-scene summary of each issue which had me leaning toward a 4-star review. But after a few I began to really enjoy the trip down memory lane rediscovering the details of each and realizing how important this was for the analysis later. I especially enjoyed discovering how many things would initially appear to be throw-away fluff only to come up as important later! From the character development to the seemingly insignificant plot lines, this serves as a great lesson in storytelling from those who created one of the greatest superhero’s of all time!
