I really wanted to like this. The whole concept of the story sounded cool and had a trope i really love reading— Forbidden Romance. But this definitely didn’t hit the mark for me. It was hard for me to connect with the characters or the stupid fued they had. I was hoping we would see the two main characters meeting and realizing that their families aren’t supposed to mix but instead the book starts off with them already in a secret relationship since they were in high school.
I mainly pushed through out of curiosity to figure out why the two families despise each other. Which might I add is over something that could’ve been fixed decades ago. The ending was just a reason to keep the families from not liking each other—Melvin was a problem that needed to be handled but the way it went about was crazy.
Overall, I started this to read the series but now I’m a little hesitant lol
Gowns…beautiful gowns😕 This was a Fast paced Romeo & Juliet inspired story. The premise was promising but it wasn’t executed well. At all. Like who sends away a 25 yr old? It would have made sense if she was a teen. Also “I didn’t contact you for 4 years because I was exiled” and I didn’t have your number.” We don’t have FB & IG?? You couldn’t have contacted an old friend from around the way? And he’s your boo of 8yrs…you don’t have his number memorized? I get that we often suspend reality when we read but it just didn’t make sense to me. Plus the dialogue & character “voice” didn’t feel very realistic or authentic to who the characters were supposed to be.
This book is defenitly giving me Romeo and Juliet vibes with out the double suicide. The start of this book and the love between bulley and Crystal is so raw and true...especially for two young people who are so in love. I literally wanted to punch her father in the face when he slapped her cause the fuck...but her mom def handled that shit like a queen and was ready to bust a whole cap in his ass for laying hands on they daughter. That damn ultimatum was brutal but I was happy that Crystal didn't let the love she felt go and went with the choice she made cause that made the love she had for Bulley feel even stronger for me as the reader. She lit made her father eat his words as he should, she choose her and her feelings as she should have. Dang Bullet had me in my feelings with chapter 2 he was so in love with Crystal...the fact that he said the start of his villian era cause she gone...shit bout to blow up.... Damn Crystal really said don't fuck with me and mine...I'll beat that ass fam or not🤣. Crystal is def a Crash out and I love that for her. Crystal is a wild one...damn in public. Armor bulley bro is a bitch ass nigga just like Crystal daddy. Crystal daddy really aint shit. Damn that end chaos scene was nnot what i was expecting...like i did expect the one result but def not the other 2 damn. however it tracks sometimes people just can't let shit go. now that last look freak nasty scene had me hot...damn...with they freaky asses...but love the way Bulley and Crystal loved hard no matter what!!
What is it bout these family secrets that got us hating another family, and no one knows why? This is several generations removed, and still no answers. Uhhh.... 😤
Crystal and Bullet have a deep love for each other and want to plan for their forever. However, their families have forbidden them to be together, putting roadblocks at every turn. Just when they decide that they are going to live life their way, Crystal is sent away. These two spend four miserable years apart, but when reunited it was like they never left the other.
Crystal's dad Melvin had some serious hangups, and I could not believe the lengths that he went through to keep his daughter away from Bullet!! 🤬 When Crystal learns the truth reason for the feud, she is floored, cause what????? 🤯 Me too girl, me too! 🤣 Then came the drama, tears, and eventually happiness for our couple. Enjoyed this. 👍🏿👍🏿
It’s been a while since I have finished a book in a day but this book had me in a chokehold. I love a good forbidden romance and whew Wynta Tyme came with the drama. I mean my heart was over here racing waiting for Bully and Crystal to be reunited. Bully jumped in when they were reunited and was not gonna let our girl go and I loved that for her. I love how he quickly stepped in with Clear. The only thing I was a little disappointed about was the ending. I mean I get why one had to go but did the other have to go too? Anyway that’s just me wanted a happier ending for the families as a whole. All in all this was a good read. This was a great start to the series and I can’t wait to see what else we get with this series.
I came across the series from a friend that sent it to me from TikTok. I wanted to love it but it was too fast paced for me, granted short stories usually are— I just felt a lack of connection to the characters. I felt like I didn’t really “know” Crystal outside of her love for Bullet, and vice versa. Also the feud?! I was super heated! LMAO
Just speaking on the book itself and not the author, the author is well written & probably has a bunch of great other work that I hadn’t got a chance to read yet, this one was just challenging to connect with.
The Hatfields and McCoys this was a good start to this MC Series Bullet and Crystal loved each other but there’s always that one person who can’t let go and that was Melvin her dad hate for the Clips was ingrained he just couldn’t change…Bullet and Crystal moved liked they were never separated for 4 years there was no loved lost between them…. I would love to read about all those brothers…. I still think Crystal should have told the reason for the feud maybe then it would have ended
Finally finished. It was a very short read, but I kept stopping. A lot of grammatical errors.
The story line is crazy, and the ending of the last chapter, into the beginning of the epilogue was diabolical. I almost had a panic attack thinking Crystal was gone. I am sad that he lost a brother though…
It wasn’t a lot of smut, but that final sex scene…😫🫠🫣

The way this man kept no secrets whatsoever from his separated love—openly admitting the various club hoes he slept with—then enthusiastically praising the prime nutting he was now blessed with.
I wasn’t expecting for that to happen I was hooked from the beginning but that ending!!!!!! Is what sold it for me, even though that 90% mark was sad that 6% after it, is what got me truly.
I enjoyed this forbidden romance story but I do think it could have benefitted from a few extra pages. I didn't see the twist of the origin of the family feud coming. I'm usually pretty good about being able to predict things like that. I'm always pleasantly surprised when a story takes me by surprise. I was a little upset that Crystal cared so much about going to see her grandfather in the hospital. He was part of the reason she was sent away. He would have had to make peace with not seeing me again. He was foul for that.
I wasn't too thrilled about her father either. He was a horrible person to his wife and his daughter. I understand that the mother was trying to be there for her daughter in her own way but she still allowed that man to ship her daughter off and basically banish her from her home and friends. She could have done more.
I did like Bullet and Crystal's relationship. And I thought it was great that she made a point to make sure the people that mattered knew who Bullet was. I'm definitely looking forward to the rest of the books in this series.
The one star is because I actually finished the book and you have to give at least one star. Although I did skip to get there and the reviews helped me as well. When I saw a couple of the reviewers laugh at the reason behind the feud it made my nosey self struggle through the read. This book was insanely bad. We don’t know the main characters at all, only that they were supposedly so in love with each other. What really through me is how the author wanted to create conflict but make it easy for the two main characters to find their way back to each other. They shipped her to ARIZONA not another galaxy, they didn’t imprison her with 24/7 watch so she couldn’t escape in a place no one knew about, they shipped her to ARIZONA. This grown ahhh woman had all the freedom and money to do whatever she wanted. She was a car ride, plane, train ride, shoot a bus ride away to going back to where ever bulley was. She chose to stay in Arizona and not go back, the excuse of not having her phone anymore was so da$m lame. ARIZONA 🤦🏿♀️🤦🏿♀️🤦🏿♀️ omg I couldn’t believe that, then the whole reason for the feud was indeed a 🤦🏿♀️🤦🏿♀️ moment. The characters were so childish, and this whole book was just dripping from hate from beginning to the very end. So her brothers didn’t love her? They rather their father kill her than him be handled? On top of all that I never felt any chemistry between the two love interests, don’t really know much about the female character. Like why was bullet so in love with her? What made her special? She didn’t do anything the whole book but talk about how much she was in love with this man that she allowed 4 1/2 years to go by because of a few states in between where they were. (I still can’t get over that) lol. And the fact that she don’t know this man phone number by heart and they been supposedly together since high school is crazy work. 🙄🙄🙄. That’s why I don’t care for these Romeo/juliet themed books most authors don’t make them make sense, and this was one.
Plot or Character Driven: Plot Strong character development: Complicated Loveable characters: Yes Diverse cast of characters: No Flaws of characters a main focus: No This novella is a quick, interesting read.
Bullet and Crystal have been a couple since high school days. They, however, need to keep their relationship a secret since their family are rivals. The rivalry between the two families has been so long-standing that they no longer know what started it.
Crystal and Bullet love each other so much that they usually hide away to spend time with each other. On one of their many picnics together, Crystal's dad and her brother find them and take her away. But this one is different: her grandfather steps in and issues an ultimatum. She has to leave the state and cannot make any contact with Bullet; in that way, he will stay alive.
Four years have passed since Crystal was shipped away, and there has been no contact. Bullet is still very much in love with her and wonders about her daily. He has not even wanted another relationship. Crystal is the same; she has not been in another relationship, but she does have a secret.
Currently, Crystal's grandfather is very sick and has ordered that she return to the family home to see him. Will Crystal and Bullet get the chance to meet? Is that love still there?
This is my first time reading this author, and while I enjoyed the story very much, I could not rate it higher because it needs better editing. I will read more from this author and hope that this book was edited quickly for release.
It’s crazy how a family feud from generations ago can carry on for as long as this one did between the Views& Chips family! However Bullet & Crystal has other plans and boy did they execute it!
Where are the men at like this here BULLET!!! This man was not and did not play when it came to Crystal. What bothered me with this here is the fact that a generational family feud has gone on for as long as it did! Honestly each family only heard one side and never the other side so the beef was one sided, in my opinion! However my guy Bullet wasn’t going for it- lol! He was determined to spend the rest of his life with Crystal and her meant that! But he was separated from her and my man (lol) went cold hearted! From that day on man became meaner than the was before!
Crystal, my girl! Loved her down because she just wasn’t going for it. She loved who she loved and didn’t nor wouldn’t give another man her or her heart! Babygirl only belonged to Bullet 🥰!! When I say so gave it all up family and fortune included, she did just that and separated from her family! Let me tell you, the way she loved that man was like no other! My girl was so dedicated she never allowed herself to meet or get close to another man! Now that love dang it- 🤣! You know it’s crazy when tragedy will bring you back to the place it all started but you get that chance to make things right.
I ate this book up! It was a page turn for sure! Definitely plan to get into this author catalog in due time! Oh I’m going to end it with - the families SECRETS 😳😳
Wynta Tyme’s Bullet: A Forbidden Romance takes readers on a thrilling ride through love, loyalty, and family feuds in Decatur, IL. At its heart, the novel is a modern-day Romeo and Juliet—but with motorcycles and a gripping sense of rebellion.
Crystal Views and Bullet Clips have been in love since they were teenagers, despite their families' long-standing rivalry. Forced apart for four years, their reunion is anything but smooth. While Crystal has found peace in solitude, Bullet is still entangled in the dangerous world of his motorcycle club. Their attempt at rekindling their love sparks even more tension, leading to an ending that shakes everyone involved.
The chemistry between Crystal and Bullet is undeniable, and the tension surrounding their secret romance keeps the pages turning. The novel captures the intensity of forbidden love, the weight of family expectations, and the reckless passion that fuels their relationship. While the action-packed scenes and emotional turmoil make for an engaging read, the ending leaves a bittersweet feeling. I couldn’t help but wish for a resolution where both families set aside their differences and supported Crystal and Bullet.
Overall, Bullet: A Forbidden Romance delivers drama, passion, and heartbreak in a way that keeps readers hooked. If you enjoy fast-paced romances with deep-rooted conflicts and high stakes, this book is worth the read.
Bullet by Wynta Tyme is book 1 of an 18 part book series on the BLP Motorcycle Clubs.
I was thoroughly unimpressed with this writer and this story, therefore, I will not be reading the rest of the books in the series.
I found the author's writing style to be awful, there was no character development, the characters were stereotypical and unlikable, and the pacing was all off. The story unfolded in such a weird way that I felt like I was in the middle of this series and not in the very beginning. The sex scenes were bland, the reveal of the feud between the two characters' families was handled carelessly, and the author describes things so randomly ("Her curls were cut in the style that Meg the Stallion wore her curls in" - what style is that????) that it's just so easy to lose faith in the story.
And if all of that wasn't enough, on page 65, I read the following during a sex scene between the MMC and FMC:
Crystal seemed to be tighter than a frog's booty hole.
What in the fuck is that sentence doing in a book?
Final rating: 1.5/5
Spice rating: 1/5
Content warnings: Moderate: Cursing, Gun violence, Sexual content, Violence
Gave this 3.5 stars Loved this I have been looking for more books with a black FMC and MMC I loved this it was authentically black nothing felt gimmicky the smut could've been better felt like the same thing over and over and they could've been longer the whole book could've should've been longer that would've made better if we could feel their longing and all that but can’t wait to read the other books because there are 18 of them all written by different ppl so I am so ready to jump in. There some things that bugged me like who sends away a 25 year old??? And then when she came back all of a sudden they just didn’t care that she was running off with him??? Didn’t make any sense really but I like need to like these books and like I said they’re written by different people so I’m holding out faith Crystal, Clear, and Glass bffr. I actually didn’t have a problem with tribal or clear but when you add glass that blew me. It’s just with the store being so short we’re missing on a lot of world building that really could’ve made this all just so much better. Like I don’t really have any attachment to anyone besides Bullet and Crystal.

This was a mixed bag of emotions for me. I understand this was a novella, so the storyline was short and fast-paced, but some parts just didn’t make sense.
First off, what year is this supposed to be? Crystal gets shipped off to her grandparents in Arizona with no access to a phone, internet, or social media—for four years. Meanwhile, her mom is visiting regularly, even starting a romance with the neighbors next door. That didn’t add up. From the beginning, we saw that her relationship with Crystal’s dad was rocky (she literally slapped him in their first scene together), and then we find out she was secretly planning to leave him for her new man? It really made me feel like one of those visits home could’ve been the moment she told Bullet about his daughter. Four years is way too long for that kind of secret.
Now, let’s talk about the family feud. Ugh. There were a lot of gaps in that storyline. Suddenly finding out—through a journal, after Pop Pop’s passing—that the grandfathers were lovers? Sure, it was a shocking twist, but it felt weak. This is generations later, and we’re supposed to believe only one family member knew the truth that caused all this division for decades? It just didn’t feel fully fleshed out.
That said, it was a very quick read. If you’re in a reading slump or between series, this might be a nice little palate cleanser. Just don’t go in expecting everything to make perfect sense.

OMG, Wynta Tyme did the dang thing with this book!! After watching Mel Dau's review on Instagram, I knew I had to read this book ASAP. And when I tell you how this book had me in a chokehold.... The decades long feud between the Views and the Clips made the drama with Hatfields, and the McCoys look like child's play. The animosity between these two families was so palpable and destructive that it bled into and forced a four and a half years separation between Bullet and Crystal.
But the heart wants what it wants and will get what it wants no matter how long it has to wait. So when Bullet and Crystal cross paths again due to a family tragedy, all bets are off! That man was not about to let ANYONE keep him from his family! I loved how he stepped up and became everything Crystal needed him to be. It was about time they got their HEA. It was long overdue! But I was not prepared for the big secret that was the reason for the Views and Clips decades long fued. I was gobsmacked!! This is a definite top 10 2025 must-reads.
I love me some Bullet! From the beginning, he and Crystal’s story had me hooked. In so many words, it gave Bonnie and Clyde or Romeo and Juliet.
Their families being sworn enemies and them being in love with each other is a crazy game of Russian roulette. Crystal was sent off to live with her Grandparents but returned after 4 years and so much has changed. Bullet isn’t the same as he used to be. He suffered a broken heart and invested his time in other adventures/pursuits. Running into Crystal, he’s caught by surprise with who she’s has evolved to be over the last 4years.
I love when a man is all about his woman. So invested in her well being, he can’t live without her, will go to the ends of the earth to defend her and more. Bullet showed no remorse when it came to Crystal. Everyone knew that there was no other woman for him. Hell, they were together since teenagers. You know how that love goes!
Whew! The spice was spicyyyyyy. The action was brutal and I’m all for a good shootout! 😭 I loved this book!
This book was so cringeee but I kept reading because I was really interested in seeing what was the cause of the actual feud between the two families. And even that was a disappointment🙄.
This book would’ve made more sense if the characters were teenagers because that’s what it gave. Why was a big 25 year old riding a “bicycle” to the convenience store to sneak and see her boyfriend? Why was a big 25 year old shipped off to family out of state? What do you mean your grandpa took your phone and gave you a new phone and you had NO WAY of contacting bullet for 4.5 years? You and that man were together from y’all were 17 and you don’t have his number memorized? The story took place from 2020-2025 so you don’t have no social media where you can reach him? BFFR🙃🙃🙃
I hated how she kept calling him “Love” at the end of every sentence. What was up with that???? I loveeee urban fiction and mafia romances but the end scene with the gun?? IMMEDIATELY NO👎🏾👎🏾.

Overall, I really enjoyed this book. It really helped me get out of my reading rut hopefully!! I loved the pacing of the story it kept you on your toes. This felt like a modern day Romeo & Julietish story.
One complaint I have is you didn’t feel a good connection to Crystal. I feel like I got more understanding and emotion from Bullet. I feel like I couldn’t gage how old Crystal was (if it was said I missed it) but I really find it crazy that we didn’t see her try to get in contact with Bullet. I wish instead of the time jump we got to see what Crystal’s first days were like.
The big twist on why the feud even exists was crazy!! I was like WHAT. I will say the journal entries being written as conversation and actual dialogue annoyed me. Nobody journals actual conversations in that way especially during a heated situation. The journal entry definitely could’ve been executed much better.
The last race made me a little annoyed but it was valid and kept me on my toes.
This book definitely gave me Romeo & Juliet vibes—just with a much different ending. Bullet and Crystal come from two rival families, surrounded by chaos and drama, yet somehow, they find their own slice of happiness in each other. But love like theirs? It’s never easy. Circumstances force them apart, but when something is truly meant to be, time and distance don’t stand a chance.
Bullet never wavers—his heart belongs to Crystal, and Crystal knows there’s no man for her but him. But with so much history, bad blood, and family interference, the question is: Will their love be strong enough to break through generations of hate, or will they be torn apart for good?
If you love intense love stories packed with loyalty, drama, and that ride-or-die energy, then you definitely need to pick this one up!
A forbidden love that had no boundaries, especially from Crystal father! Bullet and Crystal were meant to be together, unfortunately their families had so much ill will against one another and no none really knew. Bullet was all for choosing Crystal over his family, however in the beginning, Crystal just wasn't strong enough to disregard her family. Due to change of events, it took some time before Bullet and Crystal could reconnect and when they did, there wasn't much change between the families ill will towards each other, but this time around Bullet and Crystal refuse to let anyone stop their love. I enjoyed the ending and although there were some losses, Bullet and Crystal no longer were held hostage by their families unhealthy feeling towards one another, mainly being the brothers.
Bullet and Crystal loved each other from an early age but it was a forbidden love due to the feud between their families causing a separation for 4 years. The way that they loved each other you just knew that they were soulmates. In their separation, they never forgot the other or the love they shared. Bullet definitely didn't play when it came to his Crystal. There were a lot of twists and turns and edge of your seat moments that kept you interested especially the family drama and the wrong kind of family loyalty. I couldn't stand Crystal's daddy, Melvin. He was just mean for no reason at all and blamed others for his own shortcomings. I didn't feel sorry for him at all. This was a great forbidden romance/second chance book. The only question I have is will the family secret (reason for the feud) ever be revealed? Hmm
As I read this book it only proved that you can't help what the heart wants and desires. Bullet and Crystal had a love like no other and were determined to go against their families meaningless feud. The way her father Melvin acted was despicable and in the end got exactly what he deserved. Crystals pop pop knew it was time to at least make peace and have the reason for the long life feuding between the families happy he made amends.before crossing over. Kelvin was wrong for calling his granddaughter a mutt and.bastard but to pull, point then fire his gun at his daugther showed how he truly really felt about her, her entire life he never wanted a daughter; but if that wasn't enough to be having an public affair with Crystal school bully but Crystal beat that butt for their disrespect, great read.
Well this was interesting. I had to give it 3 stars simply because I couldn’t vibe with it. I finished it but it was hard to connect with the characters. They felt immature and not genuine. And It felt like it was too much story for the length of the book. There seemed like there was a lot going on. Also, the spice was level weird. It didn’t really bode well with the characteristics of Bully and Crystal and seemed like they were transplanted from a different story altogether. The amount of errors was crazy. However, I did like the premise of the book. The plot was interesting and I did not see that plot twist about the families’ feud coming. It made me giggle. I liked the names, Bullet Clips and Crystal Views. The kids names were cute too. Overall, this book did not do it for me but it was an okay read.
