Perfectly adult-proof stories regarding our spud-like hero, evil classmates, killer toilets, alien friends and more. Designed to be daft, it's built of copious high-impact illustrations providing the jokes with a few of those nasty word things in the way as well. In actual fact, a lot of the pictures have words, with all the speech balloons being the quippage, often in that Simpsons-esque way of presenting the plot, then cutting away to something funny and coming back beats later. I found it a bit of an ordeal, to be honest, but to mark it as per the target reader this is a silly, fun, and very simple entertainment.

I thought that this was a great little book and a fun story.
The book has some great illustrations and they are perfect for the story.

It was easy to follow and understand and I liked the layout and length of the chapters.
My daughter read it with ease and enjoyed it and we are already looking forward to reading the next book in the series!

It is 4 stars from me for this one - a great addition for any home library and primary school library too - I can see this being a really popular one with the children as it has some great characters!
Very highly recommended!

This lively and entertaining children’s book is made up of several short, separate stories.

Each story places the main character in a new situation or adventure, keeping the reading experience fresh and engaging. The individual stories stand well on their own, making the book ideal for short reading sessions, independent reading or bedtime.

The central character is cheerful and cheeky, with a personality that shines through in every story.

The variety of the separate stories helps maintain interest and gives young readers something new to enjoy each time they return to the book.

Overall, this is a fun, light-hearted collection that offers plenty of entertainment and variety.

I want to start off this review by saying thank you to NetGalley for allowing me to read this before it is published.

I absolutely adored this book. I laughed and I know my kiddos will too so I will most definitely preordering it.

Spudbert aka Kid Potato is so funny, his adventures throughout the book made me laugh.

I love that he introduces his friends and family (including his super annoying little sister Parka!)

This is a cute read that I’m sure kids will definitely enjoy.
