The ultimate evil has descended on Parshil, and Warren has no idea how to defeat it.
If he attacks the Hordebeast, it regenerates, getting stronger each time—but if he leaves it alone, it destroys everything it touches. To find a solution, Warren chases down the mythical Maker who created the Hordebeast. With the help of allies old and new, he uncovers far more than he bargained for. The sickening answers to Parshil’s mysteries shake him... but they also hold the key to his victory.
Now he’s only got one thing left to free the corrupted, dead souls of the dragons that power the Hordebeast. But the Maker won’t let go of his creation so easily, and it will take the combined forces of dragons, elves, and humans alike to end the cycle of dark magic for good.
I was surprised by the overall plotting, author did a great job seemingly planning the series from the start. The series had a lot of plot twists, but grounded in mysteries outlined all the way back in book one. Honestly there’s too many “mates” of the MC than I’d prefer (more than ten), and honestly I’d prefer less verbose intimacy (doesn’t need to go in for multiple chapters), but I enjoyed the story.
I still chose to skip the male-dominated erotic scenes. But I enjoyed reading about the dragons. I fell in love with copper. The mine dragon. It would be neat if dragons really did exist.
Really enjoyed the characters and story! Very well written and the development was well paced. I look forward to more from the authors. Love my dragons and hero stories, and I would put this in my top ten!
