Gleeful Goblin Review: This is such a delightfully cheeky sci-fi romance. Lanz, our MMC is a total cheese ball in his approach to romancing our FMC Tyler which delighted me. "Like you, me, and candlelight on a moon-drenched bay," he says, his voice dropping to a purr that sends shivers down my spine. His finger continues its slow exploration, skimming along my jawline, brushing against the hollow beneath my ear. His touch is hypnotic, and I have to bite the inside of my cheek to keep from making some embarrassingly needy sound. "Magic time, Mamacita." Magic time? Did he just say magic time? My brain scrambles to process the words, but all I can focus on is the heat of his hand, the way his thumb grazes my cheekbone. My stomach twists, and I’m pretty sure I’ve forgotten how to breathe. "A-are you, um, asking me out?" The words tumble out in a squeak, and I immediately want to die. I sound like a middle schooler, not a grown woman who’s supposed to have her life together. My face feels like it’s on fire, and I’m torn between the overwhelming desire to pass out, throw up, or maybe just spontaneously combust. His smirk deepens, and I can see the amusement dancing in those golden eyes. He’s enjoying this. Of course he is. He’s probably used to reducing women to stammering messes with just a touch and a few well-chosen words. Meanwhile, I’m over here trying to remember how to form a coherent sentence. "You tell me," he says, his voice dripping with that same honeyed smoothness. "Does the idea of candlelight, a moonlit bay, and me… intrigue you?" Intrigue me? That’s one way to put it. My brain is currently a swirling mess of panic, confusion, and… something else. Something warm and fizzy that makes my cheeks burn and my stomach dip. I open my mouth to say something, anything, but the words get stuck somewhere between my brain and my tongue. All I can do is stare up at him, my heart hammering in my chest. "I'll pick you up at eight." His voice wraps around me like silk, and my knees nearly buckle."
But cheesy or not, this alien has more to him than meets the eye. He's an undercover warrior/protector and what starts out as a minor coverup of his abilities in the form of a date with Tyler turns into so much more. Tyler was looking for a protective, growly, anti hero bad boy and whoooooo did she get what she wished for! 5/5 Stars.

I absolutely loved this book. From the very first chapter I was hooked and knew it was going to be quite the fun adventure! Tyler runs into the street to catch an escaped dog and Lanz nearly hits her with his car, instead crashes flies through the windshield and hits headfirst into a telephone pole that would kill any regular human. He just brushes himself off, laments his broken glasses, and asks her out on a date- attemptingly suave. It was hilarious and she was so stunned and confused, understandably. But she got a hot date out of nearly dying- and getting someone killed.
The chemistry between them was sizzling and I loved how their relationship developed.
Tyler's friend Cindy was fun and the best wingwoman!
'My mouth opens to protest but before I can speak, her hands plant firmly on my back. "Out you go!"
My cheeks burn as Cindy's finger jabs up at Alonzo's face. He towers over her, but she doesn't back down an inch. "Now, Tyler is my best friend, and she hasn't been on a date with a decent guy in a long time, so I'm allowing you to take her out on one condition..."
Alonzo's lips curve into that dangerous smile. "Yes?"
"Don't behave yourself." Cindy's words hit me like a splash of ice water. "Trust me, she needs it bad! If you have her home before midnight I'll kill you."
I would love to hang out with her! I was so glad she had a prominent role and wasn't just the best friend you see briefly at the beginning and end of a story.
Another great Vakutan vs Grolgath story. I'm really loving this series! 5 stars.
The chemistry between them was sizzling and I loved how their relationship developed.

Tyler is a dog groomer and has a special touch with the big goofy dogs that come into her place of work. She works with her best friend and while chasing a run away dog she almost gets run over by Lanz who is an alien and hits hard right into a telephone pole. She is worried he is dead when he gets up and starts hitting on her and asks her for a date. There is something about this hot guy flirting with her and it draws her in that she cannot resist. Lanz knows he should take care of this girl as she saw something that she shouldn't but there was something about her that just drew him to her. They go on a date and that seals it for him Lanz is so not going to let this woman go. She didn't flinch to him telling her the truth and she is taken with him as much as he is with her. The chemistry between these two is so much fun to read and the humour of things that happen. The more and more Athena writes with these aliens and their mates that they stumble upon and their stories just keep me hooked with their sense of humour and the chemistry between these characters is so gripping. I love how she matches the women with their alien men and the way the men just go all sweet and soft when it comes to these women. I so can't wait to see what more Athena has for us. You go girl you are so hitting these right out of the park. I love that it is nothing like I have read before so its like a whole new world of adventure. I highly recommend this book!!!

I liked the story. Good aliens vs the ones who want to change humans history.
I liked Tyler.
She becomes more confident , not letting her past or more specifically her parents getting the way of her future. I loved her BBF, Cindy. I loved her encouragement and wanting Tyler to learn to live and be alive.
Lanz is of course the good alien. I loved their first encounter. And of course his "solution" to some of the problems they face. After all he is a billionaire. Money talks.
I would have liked to have seen more of the characters flushed out. We are introduced to a new character, but we do not get a lot of background with them.
Action packed, and of course steam to the romance. I loved the suspense. And the perfect HEA for them.
The book I read was an ARC, so I am hoping the typos , inconsistencies and the correct name are corrected . To the author, your email address is not found. This is the one from the newsletter.

Grumpy Alien Billionaire de Athena Storm sí es totalmente el tipo de libro que suelo leer, y aun así logró sorprenderme. La historia sigue a Tyler, una chica que trabaja bañando perros, hasta que su vida da un giro inesperado al cruzarse con Lanz, un alien millonario y bastante gruñón.
La química entre los dos me gustó mucho. Tyler es decidida y no se deja intimidar, mientras que Lanz, aunque parece frío al principio, poco a poco muestra un lado protector y hasta tierno que me terminó encantando. Esa mezcla de humor con tensión romántica hace que sea fácil engancharse.
La trama es exagerada en algunos momentos, con mafias alienígenas y situaciones un poco locas, pero justamente eso lo hace entretenido y dinámico. No es una historia para tomar demasiado en serio, sino para disfrutar y reírse con lo inesperado.
En conclusión, le doy 4/5 estrellas porque, aunque no se convirtió en mi favorito, me entretuvo bastante y me dejó con ganas de seguir leyendo más de este tipo de historias.

Grumpy Alien Billionaire was a good steamy and funny romance read. Tyler is shy and unexperienced but desires more, especially when it comes to sexual pleasures and a near death experience gives her the opportunity to experience those desires with Lanz. Lanz knows from the moment that he meets Tyler that he has to have her and even though the has a major issue and mission to deal with. However, he is on a mission to make Tyler his and their story is an interesting one with a HEA and an added surprise at the end. The one thing that I could have done without is the "pet" nickname and actions when it came to the sex scenes but other than that, I think paranormal romance readers will enjoy this story.

As was promised there are laugh out loud moments in the book and the premise of the book kept me reading.
While the description of the book does reference the alien keeping her as his “pet”, my brained failed to make the connection to (light) bdsm. If that isn’t your thing I have 2 suggestions, either skip over those scenes or maybe this isn’t the book for you.
I did have fun reading this book and am intrigued, this read like the first in a series.
Read the description and if it sounds like something you might like go for it.

This very enjoyable story that's about Tyler a dog groomer and Alonzo Ramone our time traveling billionaire warrior whose mission is to save Earth from the bad aliens who want to change Earth's history. After trimming Goliath her co-worker Cindy was taking him to the front when he spied a cat and started chasing it. Tyler chases after Goliath and they end up on the street. Alonzo is driving his car when he swerves his car, hitting a telephone pole. What occurs when Tyler asks if he's alright and beyond was an engaging story with romance and action that kept me turning the pages. Loved our characters, they had chemistry that sizzled from the moment they met. I'd volunteer to read and review this copy I'd received.

This is a highly entertaining story and part of a series. Although I haven’t read any other books in the series, I have to say I was very entertained. Lanz is an elite Vakutan Warrior on Earth to save it from shape-shifting aliens called the Grolgath. When he almost runs down Tyler, who is a dog groomer/romance reader that dreams of a dominating man who will come and sweep her off her feet, she is surprised when he wants to take her on a date. What is a fun filled kinky romance that will keep you entertained while, they explore their connection and eventually have their happily ever after.

What a fun sci fi story. With the existing preserve-the-timeline plot from previous novels, Tyler and Lanz drop right into their portion of the story. I enjoyed the lighthearted banter descriptions of all things alien plus the fast paced mission to protect Earth. Insta-love mixed into the action made for a sweet ending!.
