New York Times bestselling author Elle Kennedy returns to Briar University in these hot and hilarious spinoffs of the Off-Campus series. Favourite hockey players return and get the chance for their own happily-ever-afters with the smart and sassy women who win their hearts. The Chase Everyone says opposites attract. And they must be right, because there’s no logical reason why Summer DiLaurentis is so drawn to tattoo-covered, video-gaming, hockey-playing Colin Fitzgerald. It doesn’t help that she just moved in with him. Fitzy made it clear he’s not interested, and Summer isn’t the type to chase a man – but the sparks between them might still burn their house down. The Risk Brenna Jensen might be known as the ‘bad girl’, but as the daughter of Briar U’s head hockey coach, she draws the line at sleeping with the enemy. And that’s who Jake Connelly is. Harvard’s star forward is arrogant, annoying, and too attractive for his own good. But fate is cruel – Brenna needs Connelly to be her fake boyfriend, and for every fake date, he wants a real one. And she can’t risk falling for him. The Play After last year’s distractions cost his hockey team their season, captain Hunter Davenport has a new hockey and school now, women later. He’s going celibate. But there’s nothing in the rulebook that says he can’t be friends with gorgeous Demi Davis. She even has a boyfriend. Except three months into their friendship, Demi is single and looking for a rebound . . . and she’s making a play for Hunter. The Dare College is finally Taylor Marsh’s chance to get over her ugly-duckling complex, and when her Kappa Chi sisters issue a challenge, she can’t say no. The seduce hockey-playing hottie Conor Edwards. She expects him to laugh in her face, but instead, he lets Taylor take him upstairs to pretend they’re getting busy. What’s more? He wants to keep pretending. But the longer this ruse goes on, the less of a game it seems.

Tbh, I was kinda disappointed with this one. It does a poor job of measuring up to the Off-Campus series. Honestly, half of the relationships and friendships here felt forced with zero chemistry. This series was carried start to finish by Brenna & Jake and Hunter & Demi, no question. Without them, I probably wouldn’t have enjoyed it at all.
En general, me gusta más la serie Kiss me, pero si buscas leer algo entretenido, mezclado con deportistas, fiestas y ambiente universitario lleno de sorpresas es tu serie. 😉
This series was such a good spinoff to the original. Even though the setting and topic stayed mostly the same, Elle Kennedy somehow made each book so unique. Each book gave a different way of viewing just the stereotypical hockey frat boy. The way Elle kennedy writes makes a person feel so connected to the experiences and sufferings of all the characters. One of my favorite authors.
Like I said with the Off-campus series. LOVED. IT. I really like this type of books that catch your attention and you can't wait to continue reading the next ones. It is very Wattpad-coded I feel. Every book has a different trope and I couldn't be more happy about it. BUT I do recall having a slump after finishing these two series because I couldn't find anything to satisfy my need for typical Wattpad books well- written (for my liking)
The Brair U series is one of my favorite hockey romance series!
I love how all of the books intertwine and you get to know each of the characters and their stories! Off Campus and Briar U have some of the best banter and witty friendship that I have read about.
Elle Kennedy is my go to recommendation when someone ask me about hockey romance books!
I mean. Now that I look back on it, I can honestly say I just read this book to read them. My favorite one was the #4, the dare. It really excited me, and the plot was interesting.
quote from my reading journal: "friends to lovers SO CUTE"
Got this book today I can't wait to read it but i thought these were the first series cuz I thought this and off campus was one series so now I got to wait 😭 till I get the off campus series because both of the series looked like it was one whole series since they looked the same 🥲
The series isn't magnificent, it's unique. Once again, Elle Kennedy managed to make me fall in love with her characters. My favorite of the four books is "The Dare."
