Liam Quinn works alone. Always. But if he wants to take his brewery to the next level, he needs Cecelia's marketing expertise. Entertaining any stupid romantic notions about the curvy, wild-haired beauty would be a huge mistake. But...he does....

In High School, Daphne Elliot was voted “most likely to become a romance novelist.” After spending the last decade as a corporate lawyer, she has finally embraced her destiny. Her small town steamy novels are filled with flirty banter, sexy hijinks, and lots and lots of heart.
Daphne is a coffee-drinking, hot-sauce loving introvert who spends all her free time in her garden. She lives on a small farm in New England with her husband, two kids, two dogs, twelve backyard chickens and a hive of Italian honeybees.
When I first saw the cover and read the blurb I was immediately interested in this story. It is one quirky funny, sexy but sweet small-town romance that I had to read in almost one sitting. The author has a great word building, excellent descriptions of a town, and everything else that I didn't have trouble picturing it. Characters were well built and easy to like. I couldn't believe that it is a debut novel. I recommend this story to every reader who likes to read slow burn, small-town romances that builds up your anticipation with every page.
Trusting You is book one in the Havenport / Quinn Brothers series. I'm pretty sure this was my first book by Daphne Elliot, so I was going in pretty blindly about what to expect with writing style / etc.
I will say that the author did an amazing job with character development and world-building. I felt like I was there during most of it. Her way with words made it really easy to stay engaged in the storyline for sure.
Trusting You is a small-town romance where we meet Liam and Cece. The build-up and tension that lead to their relationship was so worth the wait. It was great seeing their playful banter and seeing everything progress. When the spicy scenes finally hit, they were DEFINITELY spicy and worth the wait. I will admit that it progressed a LITTLE slower than I normally would like, but hey, the author made it worth thew ait.
I'll definitely be checking out other books by this author and this series!
Trusting You is a beautiful small-town romance that will give you all the feels!
Liam and Cece have insane chemistry and although I usually like my sex scenes to come a bit quicker in a book, the wait for these two to get together is so worth it. Steamy sex but also really sweet at the same time. The suit eachother so well and you'll be routing for them in no time!
If you love small town romances, with some steamy scenes thrown in, then I definitely recommend this. Lovely read 🥰
I really enjoyed this small town romance novel. I couldn't believe this was Daphne's debut novel it was so well written. Meet Cece who's come back home to Havenport from her life in New York for a break and then Liam the owner of the brewery. They suit each other so well and i love how they bring the best out in each other, the attraction and sexual tension between the two was hot!!! All the while Liam is trying to make a success of his company. Can Cece help him? Can they stay just friends? Read Trusting you to find out. Can't wait to read more in the series, well done Daphne.
How you ever wonder, if you could ever wish to live in a fantasy town, which one would be? Mine definitely will be Havenport. The description of the townspeople and the landmarks, made me feel right there and gave me a Stars Hallow from Gilmore Girls vibe. Ask anyone who knows me, I'm not a beer person at all, but because of the knowledge share in this story about beer, I'm considering trying one or two kinds -specially if is served by Liam, don't tell Cecelia. Speaking about the main characters, Cecilia's evolution from unpassionate marketing and recently single person and Liam's workaholic and untrustly person, plus both of their lust for each other, I just wanted to just yell to them to tell: trust your feelings, accept them and share them to each other….and stop be so single minded with your futures. Anyway, Havenport has great possibilities for many, many stories and spin off to tell. Pin it and program a countdown in your calendar 'cause once in Havenport, you'll never want to leave!
Circumstance had Liam and Cece thrown together and tempting each other at every turn. I enjoyed watching them get close just to have one of them pull away... I’m crazy like that. Or I just love the back and forth of these types of romance novels 😉 Trusting You is a slow burn romance that builds both anticipation and love for the community. But even when these two finally succumb, obstacles and their own stubbornness get in the way of a full relationship. This made it delightfully frustrating at times... even for the secondary characters! I enjoyed how this first-in-series not only introduced you to the town, but also some of these intriguing secondary characters. I’m not sure whose book is going to be next, but I do have a couple characters I’m hoping for... This is a sweet and sexy book for small-town romance lovers ♥️
Cece and Liam are adorable, they are children of best friends who knew each other growing up but weren't really involved in each other's lives. Now Cece is back in town gathering herself and figuring out her next move since her life is going through a huge change and Liam hires her to do a job. Watching them become friends and fight their attraction, then become lovers, and then fight to become partners in life is beautiful. Daphne did a beautiful job of writing this story in her debut novel.
I really enjoyed this book. First off it was so funny. I love quirky little smalls towns and their people. This was steamy, sweet, a bit angsty and overall a really enjoyable read
Daphne Elliot is coming in HOT with her debut novel and let me tell you after devouring Trusting You, Daphne you my friend have found your author voice and calling. Trusting You is small town romance perfection. The world Daphne has created instantly pulls you in and holds on tight. From the wonderful and intriguing characters, to the descriptive scenery and places, Havenport sure sounds like the place to be. This particular story is Liam's and Cecelia's. Two people who are focused on their careers and most definitely not looking for love. Liam is sexy and broody and doesn't have much of a life beyond running his currently struggling brewery. Enter Cecelia, the one women who has the potential to help grow his business and bring him to his knees at the same time. With sparks flying and chemistry burning will these two be able to deny their attraction? Or will they put their hearts on the line? Oh My Heart! Their journey to a HEA is riddled with meddling mums, steam, humour, sweet and swoony moments, and a dash of angst. The perfect combination for a small town romance story.
5 Stars! Small-town romance perfection! Can't believe this is Daphne's debut novel!
Cecelia - after finding herself jobless and single, she heads back to her hometown to re-evaluate her life. However her free-spirited mum was not going to let her spend her days moping, oh no, she instead found her a marketing job for best friend's son Liam. She soon finds out that Liam was not the scrawny boy she remembers from high school. He's now a big bearded hunk of a man. He's also in desperate need of her help to save his flailing business. When innocent touches start to become more, can she open her heart again? And what happens when she has to go back to New York?
Liam - his world is his brewery. Everything else has always come second, hence why he's single once again. He's also used to doing it all by himself, so is reluctant to accept the help of the stunning family friend, especially when he's instantly not thinking appropriate co-worker thoughts about her. However she blows him away with her ideas, so he simply can't say no. As time goes on, can he finally start to let people in? And if he does, can stop himself from falling before she leaves him heartbroken?
I love absolutely everything about this book! The setting (I want to live in Havenport!), the side characters, the chemistry between Cecelia and Liam which just burned through the pages, the friendships, the brotherly banter (those Quinn brothers are yummy!)...everything!
If you too love small town romances, with all the feelings....and all the steam...then you NEED to read this book! Can't wait for Declan's story next!
This is the authors debut novel and well honestly I was super impressed. It was written so well and I adored the small town and the characters that lived there.
This is the story about Cece who goes back home to her small town while she decides what she wants to do with her life. She lost her boyfriend, job and apartment all at once. She plans to stick around in her small town for about six months while she looks for another job and gets money together to go back to NYC.
Liam owns a brewery and bar/restaurant in his home town. He is doing pretty well but wants to do better and Cece wants to help him and help make his dreams come true.
They are very attracted to each other but Liam is afraid to mess up his boss employee relationship with Cece over a fling when he really needs her help and also they know its only for a few months.
I adored Cece. She was such a go getter and she really makes herself indispensable to Liam and he falls hard for her. But he also understands she has dreams too.
This was an awesome story. I loved every second and all the supporting cast in addition to Cece and Liam. The moms were so adorable as they plotted to get their kids together. I loved Liam's brothers and how there they were for him and I loved this story and the romance between Liam and Cece.
If you love Kaylee Ryan then you will love this story as well.
I received a free ARC copy of this book from the author prior to release and am voluntarily leaving a review.
A very refreshing read! This is a small-town, friends-to-lovers contemporary romance with an amazing plotline, as well as amazing side characters.
Cece is back in her hometown of Havenport, to take a break after getting fired from her corporate job and after breaking up with her douchey boyfriend. She's in dire need of some self-confidence and work which she actually likes. She finds all that and more when she joins as a marketing and PR executive at a local brewery.
Liam is the owner of said brewery.. he's in dire need of a marketing and PR executive because he needs to publicise his brand more, to get enough revenue to keep his brewery afloat. His beer is great.. it's just that he has zero clue on how to market it further. And oh, he's also so wary of trusting others, that he refuses to accept any help at all. That is, until Cece comes in and practically demands the job.
I finished this one yesterday, I swear I felt more energetic at the end, the effort that the MCs put into making their small business successful was extremely inspiring.
I loved the individual growth both the MCs had, and also their journey from mistrustful allies to close friends to lovers - a very wholesome arc. Not to forget the side characters - they had delightful plotlines which all enriched the main story. I can't wait to start book 2! ❤️
** I am voluntarily reviewing an advance complimentary copy of this book. The opinions expressed are my own and I have not been compensated for this review.**
This debut novel brings all the feels in a beautiful friends to lovers romance.
Both Cecelia and Liam have been going through the motions of life without really living. They don't know what is missing from their lives until they find each other. Except...she works for him, she's planning to leave in a few month, he needs to focus on his struggling business, and he has been burned mixing business with pleasure before.
Add in a small town where everyone knows everyone and nothing is private. Will they continue to fight their undeniable attraction or finally see what everyone else has known from the beginning?
This is a beautiful small town romance that melted my heart. Cece and Liam are the perfect match for each other and I adored them. They compliment each other in the best ways and work together wonderfully. Growing up together they already had a familiarity that was built upon to create a further connection for them. When they finally enter into a relationship they make the perfect couple. There are insecurities that have to be overcome and they have to figure out how to build a relationship together given their past relationship histories. The secondary characters and small town are beautifully crafted and will make for a great series!
This book is a slice of small town cherry pie sweetness with heart, humour and heat!
Cecelia is back in the town she grew up in. She's older and wiser, and not sure what she is doing with her life after a bad break-up and her career on hold. She steps in to help an old childhood friend with his brewery and they struggle with building the business and trying to keep a lid on their mutual attraction.
I loved this book and fell in love with the characters and the whole of Havenport. If you like friends to lovers, small town romance then you will adore this book. I can't wait to read the rest of the series!!!
What a smash hit! Daphne Elliot totally knocked this out of the park. Both Cece and Liam are warm and loving, exciting and fiery, with just the right amount of silly. They have such fantastic drawn out romantic tension that leaves you frantically flipping pages! Liam, the hunky brewery owner who is learning to trust and communicate, paired with Cece, the small town girl with big city dreams who is learning that the small town might be where dreams really are is a match made in heaven.
With a great leading couple and a personality filled cast of supporting characters who are sure to have their own stories in later Davenport books, I am hooked. I can't wait for the rest of the series!
For a debut novel, this is absolutely incredible! I've always loved small town romances but this is definitely my favourite. I've never read about a brewer before so that just made it so much better. I loved the town as a whole, especially the characters. Cecelia and Liam are perfect together and I can't wait to see them more in upcoming books!
Liam and CeCe have stolen my heart! Daphne did such an amazing job at writing all the details! It was really easy to imagine myself standing in the brewery with how great the details were! She didn’t stray from the storyline and was able to surprise me with some of the little twists and turns. Such a great debut for Daphne and I can’t wait to read the next one!
This book is a lovely romance novel and easy to relax into. It is sweet and hopeful and reminiscent of a cute hallmark movie.
It gives you the feeling of home and friendship, family and community everything you could ask for of a novel in this genre.
It's a stand alone within a series CeCe and Liam get their HEA in this one and the epilogue sets up the next book, which I will definitely be reading!
This is a novel about starting over and learning to be true to yourself and figuring out what you really want or need to be truly happy on CeCe's end.
Liam needed to learn that it's ok to accept help and ok to ask for it, a problem shared.
There's a lot of cuteness here, plenty of fun and a nice little story with lovely characters, if you're looking for a book to sink into and enjoy the romance, this could be the one for you.
If you live a fun and quirky small town and a loving family who give it each a hard time but are there when they need each other this is the series for you. Liam and Cecelia have chemistry straight from their meeting on the back dock of his brewery. And watching it grow until It becomes explosive was so much fun. I loved them both and can’t wait for the next two Quinn brothers stories.
Trusting You is the debut novel by Daphne Elliot, and I'm pretty sure she's a liar.
How this can be Daphne's debut novel is beyond me. It's just too good!!!
This is book 1 in the Havenport series where we first meet the town, and Cecelia & Liam.
Cece's life fell apart around her when she lost her boyfriend, pharmaceutical marketing job, and home in New York all at the same time... having no place to go but back home to her Mum and home town.
Liam is an old childhood friend, control freak, and owner of a struggling local brewery.
This unlikely pair make quite the business team, and sparks fly with them being in such close proximity all the time.
There were quite a few times in the second half of the book where I really wanted to shake both of them and 'bang their bloody heads together', as my mum would say. You know when you love a character, then get so frustrated with them that it makes you love them even more after? Yea that was exactly how it was for me.
I love these characters, this town, and this community that Daphne has created for us 💕 I want to pack up and relocate to Havenport now please! Absolutely cannot wait for book 2! 🥰
I received an advanced copy of this book and this is my honest review.
Trusting You is a heartwarming debut novel by Daphne Elliot that did not disappoint.
The story takes place in the small town of Havenport and tells the story of Liam and Cece.
Liam is the hot brewery owner who is determined to make his business a success but is too stubborn to accept help and Cece is moving home following a break up and recent unemployment. Neither one of them are looking for anything serious but, try telling that to their hearts - and their hormones!
The chemistry between the two of them is obvious from the minute the meet and they share some extremely steamy moments. The two main characters are perfect for one another and surrounded by an amazing supporting cast.
Trusting You is an easy and enjoyable read that will keep you turning the pages wanting to know what happens next. The only thing that disappointed me about this book is that I read it on a really busy week so I couldn't just sit down and read it in one sitting - instead I found myself stealing every moment I could to read just one more page, or one more paragraph whenever I got chance.
Daphne's debut book is everything you can ask for and more, i just finish this book yesterday and is was mesmerazing, the characters are everything, I love Liam so freaking much, and i'm wondering how can I get a Liam for me so Daphne please let me know if you found out, is so sweet, funny, smart hard working guy is just PERFECT, and Cece she's and amazing, badass women, funny and smart, I love this two alot and Guys the Quinn's brothers OMG i can wait to know more about them, so this book is a 10/10 just AMAZING... and please go follow this incredible new writer
I read this based off the recommendation of another author I love (thank you, Lizzie Stanley!) and am now hooked on another series.
Cecilia moves home to regroup after some devastating blows to her life in NYC. She begins working for Liam and realizes maybe her hometown is where she was meant to be.
As soon as I read about Declan, I was already looking forward to his story. I'm so excited that he's next in the series!
I just finished reading this steamy, swoon worthy book. Do not run, just go put this in your amazon cart and and get ready to get lost in a sweet New England town where there a real, quirky, fun characters that surround our couple. The book isn't all about love though- there is heart too, a fun brewery scene and complex well built characters. This is a home run for a debut novel and I can't wait to spend more time in Havenport with Daphne's next book.
