Each adventure with Paris & Faraday is more exciting and interesting than the last! Now that she had an adventure with Stefan who will be next?? Loved the Mystery Train too!
Some great little moments in these adventures as things pick up again for Paris, also enjoyed the puzzle (no spoilers even if I got it straight away) and how the relationships across the family are going to work. Would like to see what would require an entire Beaufort family come together , maybe after this set of books hint hint
This series is a lot of fun. I enjoy the way Paris, her family and friends interact. There is a lot of humor in the books and always good storylines. I like the way King Rudolf surprises everyone with his flashes of smartness and then makes you crack up at his brain stealing silliness. I really enjoyed the mystery train and cannot wait to see what surprises turn up in the next book.
Well it does when Agent Ruby starts his shenanigans. Paris has to solve a mystery with King Rudolph, and deal with his mad, mad world. Great story with Paris at the centre of all the action.
This is another fantabulous addition to this fun series, one that once again grabbed me and pulled me in! Paris and her dad have to save the fairy godmothers college as it’s under attack from demons! It’s action packed and exciting, it’s entertaining and fun, fast paced and I just couldn’t put it down. I just love Paris and thinks she’s totally a kick ass fairy and she here to save love!
Could not ask for a better story. The Liv, Stefan, and Paris family are finally out in the open to the world and the world is back to normal. Stefan is immediately put to use fighting demons with Paris help. Agent Ruby finally gets what he deserves.
Intense! I highly recommend this exciting book, and the extraordinarily magical series associated with it, to readers who love reading excellent Urban Fantasy. Enjoy!
I truly love this series. Paris is a wonderful asset to the Fairy Godmother college. Once she starts investigating something, she sticks with it to the end. The school is under attack by demons and she needs her father's help. Luckily, Stephan and Liv are reentering their lives and ready to start working. The relationships are reawakening and as with all Beauforts, stonger each day. A great way to spend a day or two, depending on your reading speed, is with this amazing family.
Creative Matchmaker was so much fun. I loved the Mystery Train - I felt like I was reading a mystery novel with in the book! I loved the strong role Stefan played in this book. We haven't had as much to do with him in any of the previous Beaufont books so it was great for him to have more of a staring role. And as usual Paris and Faraday have a fun relationship. Great addition to the series!
Paris deals with life as it comes, dealing with bullies, making friends and fighting off villains and demons. Just another few weeks in the life of a Beaufont!
Pare and her father have to hunt do the demons that are draining fairies. Together with the help of Faraday they do just that. Then Agent Ruby shows up.
Agent Ruby is on the run, he can’t oust Saint Valentine from the inside so he plans to blow the whole system apart. And his plan involves demons, who suck the life out of fairies........ And he’s struck a deal with some demons and put them in the Fairy Godmother College, Matters of the Heart and the FGA.
The murder mystery on the train with Paris and Rudolph was entertaining – Rudolph was surprisingly helpful lol.
Armed with permission and strict instructions, Faraday, Paris and her dad, Stefan the demon hunter, embark on a perilous mission to get rid of the demons. The 3 of them make a strong team and work so well together. It was nice that Paris got to go on a mission with her dad and their bond strengthening.
Paris has grown so much from the unknown fairy picking fights on Roya Lane to a mature and strong woman who has a strong sense of justice, just like her mum Liv and aunt Sophia.
There was surprise after surprise throughout the plotline, with so many things happening to Paris, and her delightful sidekick, the talking Squirrel, Faraday, that I felt breathless at times, at the speed of change.
It was wonderful that Paris got the opportunity to work with her Dad, and she showed a great talent at hunting down demons - not something most fairies would want to do!
I really loved the Murder Mystery, too, especially as Murder on the Orient Express was my favourite Christie novel, and then film - although I totally get that Sarah had written her story knowing nothing of the book & film, and so her writer's instincts must be honed to sharpness, at the perfect plotline for a group of strangers travelling a long distance together on a train!
As a matter of interest, I did guess right as to the Murderer, but the story line was almost finished before I realised why he did as he did! I never was as good as catching clues as I wished to be.
But, in all seriousness, this particular book, that lays within a whole series of excellent stories, is definitely my favourite - so far, anyway!
That's the thing with Sarah's writing, though. The more you read of her works, the more you realise just how excellent she is at writing about relationships, whether the people involved are Human, Fairies, Elves, Giants, Fae, Gnomes, or the tiny, but delightful, Brownies.
I was sad to end this story, but am looking forwards, as usual, to the next one in line, which is book seven of the series: The Thoughtful Rebel.
So, I'll catch you on the flip side, and let you know what I think of the next adventure for Paris, and her many friends!
Paris’s life is completely changing. Not only are finals and graduation from F.G.C. approaching. But her parents, Liv and Stephan are reentering the world and the House of Fourteen as Warriors.
I love the Mystery train game. Very ‘Murder on the Orient Express’ style. Agent Ruby is just a spoiled child, throwing a tantrum by destroying his toys because he can’t have his way.
They did the fight in the office all wrong. It’s ‘dropped’ ceiling! Knock out the panels! Also, always look up!
Footnote: 1) The narrator got a lot of the inflections wrong, changing what was being said. Ex.: ‘but to save herself’. If you emphasize the last word it sounds like there is someone else that could have been saved. But in this case there wasn’t so the emphasize should be on the word “saved”, since the choice was between that or fighting. That’s just one example.
Fave scenes: the discovery in the woods, waiting for the train, getting the weapons from Subner and Faraday’s ideas.
So happy everyone is back where they belong. Paris has her entire family back together. Agent Ruby is gone can’t get do anything else to destroy Love. Now if they can do away with the rest of the family’s like Beckys who are stuck in the past out of power, love can really flourish. I’m sure Paris will be at the center of everything along with her side kick.
Paris and Faraday team up with Stefan. Fun book. I love that she gets to work with her father. Also I also enjoy the time she spends with Rudolf. Side note: the bird killer jab had me rolling . I expect it in the author notes. The middle of the book jab was surprising but hilarious.
This is the second book in this series that only deserved 3 stars. This book had many good parts. It lost 2 stars by inserting the whole mystery train story as filler. Many, many other storylines would have made more sense and been more interesting.
I will give the next book in this series a chance. Let's hope it is not strike 3.
Loved the orient express murder mystery bit, but all i got was colonel Mustard in the library with a knife. All in all, another book full of snark , sarcasm, and mostly .... JOY in life
I have read Liv,Sophia and now Paris. I've enjoyed each one the fact that she's finally able to be with her parents and learn from them who she really can be is going to be interesting. I recommend these series to everyone with an interest in fiction.
Leaches are the worst slugs ever. Paris has the pleasure of fighting demon leaches. On a positive note, she makes it into a father and daughter bonding experience.
I have become a huge fan of Sarah Noffke and have enjoyed all the Paris and before them the Liv Beaufont books. I love the characters and their motivations to create a better world.
