The time it takes to listen to this audiobook is worth every minute of your time. I have never laughed so much in one sitting as I did with this audiobook. Then again, I say that every time I read and/or listen to a Carrie Pulkinen book. Her books are fabulously well written, filled with lots of humor, and surprisingly deep characters. Especially considering the characters in this collection of four books in the New Orleans Nocturns series include reapers, vampires, witches, demons, beasties, and yes, Santa and Mrs. Claus. The collection includes:
• Santa Got Run Over By A Vampire – a vampire accidentally runs Santa over in a car.
• Finders Reapers – the Grim Reaper takes a vacation and a backlog of souls waiting to meet their maker are stuck in New Orleans.
• Swipe Right to Bite – a demon develops a dating app.
• Batshift Crazy – a vampire bat and a bat shifter fall in love.

While all were awesome books, my favorite was Santa Got Run Over By A Vampire. This story stars Jane, Ethan, and Gaston, vampires living in New Orleans. Jane accidentally ran over Santa while driving Gaston’s car. As a result, Santa was in the throes of death, so Jane turned Santa into a Vampire Fae hybrid to save his life and Christmas. Santa was the Ruler of the Fae World and was riding his Harley motorcycle through New Orleans. The Harley was actually his reindeer Blitzen, who was magically cloaked to look like a motorcycle. They had a challenging time getting Santa to feed because Sugar Fae only eat food with lots of sugar, When Santa was turned into a vampire, he didn’t want blood…Santa wanted a milkshake. Santa finally settled for the blood mixed with sugar.
Santa sang hysterical parodies of well-known Christmas songs:
• “Santa got run over by a vampire. Peeing in the park on Christmas week. You can say there’s no such thing as vampires. But me and Blitzen we believe.”
• “On the first day of Christmas, a vampire ran over me, while I was peeing on a tree.”
• “Satan’s Nuts Roasting On A Roasting Fire. Jack Frost sucking on your…”

It is worth listening to this story just to find out what Santa’s favorite Christmas song was!

I always enjoy the delightful Hollie Jackson as narrator, who with her pleasant voice was able to transform this book into a storytelling feast with her character distinction, pacing and rhythm, and emotional delivery. I really enjoyed the stories and think the excellent narration added to the experience for me. The author announced that this collection was the conclusion of the “frightfully funny” New Orleans Nocturnes series. I am going to miss Jane, Ethan, Gaston, Sophie, Trace, Katrina, Crimson, and the rest of the gang. If you are looking for a well-written, well-narrated paranormal romcom stories full of interesting characters, I would recommend this collection for you.

What a boxset!
Santa got run over by a vampire!
Fancy running the hottest club in town and being married to the hottest vampire and then you run over and kill Santa Claus? What do you do? Well you turn him into a Vampire of course!!! This funny and exciting and entertaining paranormal Christmas read was hilarious and I just couldn’t put it down! There’s twists you won’t see coming, there’s hilarity, and you will love vampire/Fae Santa and Mrs Claus. This is too good a book not to be read!
Finders reapers
So this is a witty paranormal romance story that is full of magic, ghosts, fun, humour, passion, angst, heartache, chaos and disorder. On several occasions I found myself laughing out loud at the banter between the characters and I love the storyline and the twists thrown in! Who said a reaper and a necromancer couldn’t fall in love?? A Fantabulous read!
Swipe right to bite!
This was such a fun read a Gabe an incubus tries to get Katrina a succubus free from Satan by trying to get her to fall in love with him. It’s exciting, humorous, and I have to say this had me in absolute stitches whilst hoping they got their HEA.
Batshift crazy!
What a fantastic final book in this incredible series and this time Gaston our bat shifter gets his hea! He runs a B&B for the supernatural and on one drunken night he finds himself locked in a cage at the animal sanctuary. Maeve thinks she’s the only bat shifter left so imagine her surprise when she finds a man instead of a bat in the cage. What ensues is chaos, murder, mystery and suspense in this quick, fun read and it had me howling in places. It was awesome to see these two get together!

Each of the stories in this collection can be ready as standalone, but I particularly liked how one flowed into the next within the set. While these are romantic comedies, there is also some adventure, mystery, drama and sexy times.

There are plenty of paranormal shifter, witch, and vampire tales, but the world building in this series is creative. It was interesting to read about the origins and capabilities of Reapers and Santa. Poor Santa! I think a novella with his story would be a fun addition to the Nocturnes series.

Prior characters make cameo appearances as the stories build on one another, which I also like. I never know who might turn up again, but it's nice to see how the previous happily-ever-after couples are doing, and to meet some of the characters before I read their bigger stories.

Hollie Jackson does a great job with accents, different voices for the characters, and making the narration entertaining.

This collection is such a great mix of paranormal rom coms! From reapers and shifters to vampires and necromancers, each story is packed with humor, banter, and swoon worthy romance. If you love magical mayhem with a side of grumpy/sunshine vibes and an entertaining escape from the daily hum drum of life, give this a listen. You won’t be disappointed. The narrator for the audio is a perfect match for these stories. Carrie Pulkinen has masterfully balanced the lighthearted paranormal comedy with romantic mayhem.

Having already sped through the 1st 3 books of this series, it was a no brainer to buy this collection of books 4 to 7, with a saving equivalent to the regular price of a single book.
I love this series, it is funny, romantic, sexy, with a mixed bag of paranormal characters from vampires, witches and shifters, to reapers and fae, plus a regular cameo appearance from Satan himself. By the way I'm hoping he eventually gets his own book!

New Orleans Nocturnes Collection 2 by Carrie Pulkinen is a light-hearted collection of paranormal romances a bit spicy and a hilarious! Hollie Jackson's narration was very entertaining and I enjoyed that she voiced the each of the characters separately with different inflections and emotions, she's so talented! A must read/listen!!

Wow, it’s here finally, the second collection I couldn’t wait for this after reading the first collection. These stories are even more fantastic and the world building even more amazing and the characters even more wonderful it’s a definite page if you read it in the e-book and it gets even better in audiobook. It is a definite. I would recommend the narration is fantastic and draws you into the storylines and let your imagination go crazy.

This is a great collection, and I love having them all in one place! The stories are cute, light, and funny reads that make a great escape. The New Orleans Nocturnes world is an immaginative paranormal world with a great mix of different characters. Each one can be read as a standalone, the audio narration is terrific, and I highly recommend!

This is the second box set of a series. I love the whole series. The narrator does a great job with the narration and Carrie did a Beyond great job at making a awesomely funny romantic comedy. You will laugh your bottom off.

I really enjoyed the first audiobook collection, so I was looking forward to reading the second. Good world building and characters. I loved the paranormal shenanigans, quirky characters, the humor and banter. Even the titles were funny. Hollie Jackson does another good job bringing these characters to life. Lots of fun.

New Orleans Nocturn Volume 2, an Audiobook by Carrie Pulkinen, is a box set containing four different, magical stories!!

First, there’s Santa Got Run Over by a Vampire, the laugh-out-loud, riotously funny story of Jane who accidentally runs over Santa…and has no choice but to turn him….Uproariously funny scenario that will keep you in stitches!!!! Quick read full of wit, humor, and fanciful characters that will keep you highly entertained!!! Wonderful story!!!!!

Next, is Finders Reapers, a true GEM of a story!!! It is about Asher and Jasmine. He’s a grim reaper. He decides a vacay is in order…and oh what a horrible decision this is!!!! This story was delicious, decadent, and delightful!!! This author always makes me grin (and sometimes outright guffaw) at her tongue-in-cheek humor!!! Plus, a fabulous story line that just captures the imagination!!! Finally, there are great characters!!! All around fabulous!!!

Third is, Swipe Right to Bite, the story of Gabe and Katrina. This story was delightfully decadent, hilarious, and absorbing!! She is a creature…but, wants out! He is a similar crature who has his own agenda!! These two are hilariously after their own thing! There’s a bit of a conflict!! Wonderful characters, excellent story line…great comedic romance!

Finally, we have Batshift Crazy (my favorite of the lot!) is the side-splitting hilarious story of Gaston and Maeve. He’s a vampire and a bat shifter…while running a Bed and Breakfast for Supernaturals. Maeve is the last of her kind. They meet up….and then the unthinkable happens!!! How can she get out of this????? I sooooooooo enjoy stories by this author!!! Her humor is above-and-beyond…making all of her stories a joy!! This one was no different…and I kept waiting for Gaston’s story!!! Was not disappointed!!!

This Audiobook was narrated by Hollie Jackson, who once again does a fantastic job!! She brings out the tongue-in-cheek humor of the author perfectly!!! You can’t help but laugh at her portrayals and performances in these stories!!! She is excellent!!!

Santa Got Run Over by a Vampire
This book is hilarious. The first time Gaston lets Jane drive his car she runs over Santa. She has to turn him to save his life and prevent a war. But Santa is acting a little oddly. It is down to Jane to fix him. this is a great story the characters are fun and the narrator does and excellent job.
Finders Reapers
This is a funny hot book about two stubborn people. Asher is a reaper and has had the hot's for Jasmine since the first time they met, but when she told him she liked him and thought they would be good together he ran. Jasmin is a necromancer, which makes others uneasy in her company, Hers rejection hurts her deeply. Asher now needs her help.
Can they work together to and have a future together. this is a great story, the characters are fun and the narration excellent.
Swipe Right to Bite
Succubus Katrina has been hiding from Satan for a hundred years in the hope that he will forget about her. When Gabe an incubus shows up in town Katrina thinks he has been sent by Satan. With all the sexual tension bouncing around can these two demons be freinds or enimies. This is a funny read which I really enjoyed I look forward to the next book in this series.
Batshift Crazy
I have been waiting for Gaston's story. When Gaston gets extemely drunk and ends up crashing into a car, he is taken to a bat sanctuary . Where he meets Maeve. He behaves very badly and they do not get off to the best of starts, but Gaston being Gaston he is not going to let that stop him.
This is a great story and a fantastic conclusion to The New Orleans Nocturnes series. The narrarion is perfect.

I cannot get enough of Carrie Pulkinen and her New Orleans Nocturnes Series. The writing and narration come together in sheer perfection in these cozy, laugh out loud, paranormal adventures / romances. The mix of drama and humor make these stories addictive and while I love each and every moment, I was so sad to have these be the last in this series. This collection includes the final books in the series (4-7). Well written and easy to follow with smooth flowing storylines and characters that you will fall in love with, if you haven't already! The characters are delightful, and Jackson is perfect with vocals that differentiate the characters with tone, accent and more!

I stumbled across this author through a Bookbub recommendation and I have to say that I was not disappointed. I loved this entire series!!! The chemistry, the banter, everything! It’s like finding a favorite show with the perfect cast!

The fun and chaos that is the NOLA French Quarter is an experience in its own right but Pulkinen delved into the supernatural that it’s known for and made it a whole other world. The stories flowed effortlessly and the characters were a great group together and separately. The chemistry between main characters were off the charts. Each book is a standalone but the characters do overlap some. So if you’re a stickler for consistency, I recommend reading in order. Overall they’re all great and I look forward to reading more by this author.

I usually enjoy Carrie Pulkinens books, and I had read most of these stories individually and loved them. I found the Santa story very amusing. Just the thought of a horny vampire Santa made me giggle. The one about the succubus and incubus was a bit different, but was fascinating, as a succubus fell in love. Gaston, the vampire is wonderful, and I loved Maeve, the bat. Great collection with lots of fun, quirky characters

Wow! These books in this box set were awesome! They were full of fun and laughter! Not to mention all the other good stuff too. I loved the fact that that a serious paranormal book can be made into something still serious but fun to white humor embedded everywhere. These were a joy to read and I shed some tears too. I was on pins and needles at times as well. I felt the full gamut of emotions, but the best is the HEAs and laughter. Thanks!!

There is humour, strong, capable women and macho men with a soft side for that special someone. lots of shifters and adventures. well narrated.
