Edge, Episode One
Reveca Beauregard had long ago been dubbed the Queen of Darkness by the dead. To the living she was known as the Pentacle Daughter, the only acknowledged female member of the Pentacle Sons MC, the most lethal biker correlation known to exist. She was rumored to be a witch. That rumor, of course, was true.
New Orleans was her home, at the Beauregard Boneyard, the safe haven the Club resided within. Only those in the inner circle were as Reveca was—immortal. To be as such you had to choose the life, and the life had to choose you. For either to occur, death came first.
Those deaths came from wars the Sons fought with both the mortal and immortal worlds, as they bent the decrees of the modern lawmen and the paranormal world at large who had no hope of opposing the dark splendor of their vengeance.
Presently, the mysterious murder of a mortal coupled with the cold-blooded slaying of Reveca’s close friend has led the lawmen to place their corrupt accusations upon the Sons. A forced barter with a Lord of Death has landed the Club with a soul that is set to rock the foundation the Sons as a whole stand upon.

Holy Hell, what does this book not have?!!? Warning… for the first time ever in the history of SNSB I have the need to use the f word. This book is fucking brilliant. Magee has managed to take series beloved genres of stories and wrap them into one tightly, well written bundle. As soon as I received this book announcement in my FB inbox, I KNEW I had to read it. Magee’s sexy supernatural motorcycle club is literally badass. Add in the fact that New Orleans, one of my favorite places to visit, is the setting and you’ve got the makings for one hell of a book.
Reveca is the lone female and leader of the MC. She of course is no ordinary human just like a select few of her club, she’s a card carrying witch and the Queen of the Edge. She’s immortal. Magee’s idea of immortality is brilliant. In order to be immortal, you must choose the life as well as the life claiming you in return. In order to have either of these, death must come, even when it comes at a price. Rev’s life as an immortal is a prison as she lost her true soul mate many lifetimes ago. She has a sexual relationship with fellow member and immortal Talon, but even he feels her pulling away from him as time continues on.
Episode 1 focuses on the gruesome murder of Reveca’s friend and fellow witch, GranDee. They’ve been set up by infiltrating lawmen before but this time they’ve gone too far with her murder. Reveca is forced by her sister Saige to barter with the Lord of Death for a soul someone they called the “King”. But, this particular soul may be more than she’s ever bargained for as she believes this soul is that of her true soul mate. She cannot let anyone within her club know who he may be even though Talon has begun to since an immediate change in her at the very tale end of the book. I cannot wait for the continuation of this series because I’m literally on the Edge of my seat wondering if Reveca’s world is about to flip upside down with the return of the King.

Okay, Jamie, girl.
You've got to stop writing so many daggum good books because I've got to write my OWN books and if you keep sending me ARCs, I won't ever finish my stories. This girl knows how to write in any genre. She can write the sweet, the angst, the gooey, the lovey, the angry, the romance, the contemp, the paranormal, all of it.
I'm currently sitting on the ARC for Episode 2 and it's killing me. I'm making myself get to a certain point in my own work before I'll allow myself to read it, which I guess I should thank her for because it makes me get going. If you're looking for something different, not like other stuff out there, then you can pretty much pick up any book by Jamie Magee and you'll get just that.
It's not just sexy, not just MC, not just paranormal. It's way more than that.
SO looking forward to what this series has to offer.

Jamie Magee has struck a winning combination with this series – paranormal bikies! It took me a few pages to get into the story and get to know all the characters, but then I was hooked. It’s suspenseful, full of twists with hot bikies and unforgettable characters.
I would have liked a prequel to get more insight and history on Reveca – she is an intriguing, complex character. I love the contrast between her human emotions such as her grief when her friend is murdered and her immortal detachment like when she metes out punishment those who betray her. She is one bad ass, smart mouthed witch! I definitely wouldn’t want to cross her!
And I just love the King! He is sizzling hot and totally irresistible!
I can’t wait to read more of this addictive series.

First off I hate that I only got to read 1-4 and then find out that there are 8 total. I didn't realize it would be a serial nor that long of a serial. The first book gets you hooked and the rest just keep the story building. Not going to lie. I started this at another point and stopped because the beginning was just a little rough. It was confusing and took a bit to get my footing on the story. From there it was wonderful and I loved it, but all of it was also just confusing in the beginning. You just aren't sure what is going on. Once you figure it out though you can't stop. I absolutely adored this book. I thought it was great. The story was developing and there are a lot of new mysterious that each new serial brings in.
I really have loved MC books lately which is why I wanted to read this one. This is a different kind of MC book though, the immortal kind. Book Review:
I received this book from Paranormal Romance and Authors That Rock as well as its author Jamie Magee. This first book in the New No Last Ride Series is sadly short but captivates nonetheless. I finished book in just a few hours after downoading it to my kindle.
Main character Reveca Beauregard is the leader of a biker gang called the Pentacle Sons MC. The Pentacle Sons are the most lethal biker gang to exist. They are lethal in more ways than anyone can guess and they owe that to Reveca whom they dubbed The Pentacle Daughter. Reveca has power and bestowed certain members of her gang with a chance of second life. Something is coming though and Revecas past is getting caught in the crosshairs. Especially her first love who she never quite forgot.
Revecas character can be related to in regards to her human emotions she still has. She hasn't forgotten her first love. Many women will be able to identify with this and become more enhanced with the storyline. She doesn't quite get along with her sister and yet family is family. She has close people who rely on her that are her best friend's who she cares deeply for.
I really wanted more story and background on Reveca. There was some puncuation mistakes but other than that I really enjoyed reading this story and look forward to reading the rest of the series when released. Based on content I would rate 18+. I am giving this book 4 Fangs..

Jamie Magee has done it again! If you love the Web of Hearts and Souls series this is a must read for you. Jamie takes everything that you love about the Web Series and turns it into a darker, edgier (hahahaha) serial that demands to be read.
Jamie decided to try something new with this story and she is releasing it as a serial. This first installment gives you just enough information to leave you begging for more. We are introduced to Reveca, the leader of a paranormal biker MC that is constantly in the middle of the living world and the dead. We are introduced to the different members of her MC and what they do to help Reveca control The Edge. Then we meet King and all of his sexiness.
Jamie Magee manages to put you on a roller-coaster ride from the very first page. Jamie manages to make you dive headfirst and fall in love with this story. Be prepared to devour this book quickly and enjoy every minute of it. And then be prepared to go into withdrawals for the next book!

Let me just say Jamie Magee you are amazing! You continue to blow me away with how creative you are and how in depth each of your stories get. If you love the Web of Heart and Souls then this is something you NEED to read. We learn in that series that witches do indeed exist and now you get brought into a whole new world inside the world we've all already read and adore. Yes this episode has a few characters from her original series, but you learn a whole different aspect of them that you never knew and I just love that! Her main character Reveca is one of my favorite characters she's written so far (along with my girl Willow)- she doesn't take any bull from anyone and is a strong female that dominates and honestly just being a witch is awesome. She's been through hell but she pushes forwards and all the while building a family and legacy that is just simply amazing. I'm loving everything so far in this episode and I really can't wait for the next one!

Reveca has a special “gift”. She can bring souls back, so long as they do not give up and cross into the veil. She considers this life of immortality a prison because she is missing her soul mate, which she lost many years ago. Talon is her “lover” but she has been pulling away from him for so long now and he realizes it. But things change when GranDee is murdered. Reveca’s sister Saige summons her and requires her to barter with Crass an evil lord, for the soul of the one they call King. Reveca is certain that King is her long lost lover but cannot let the others in the MC know.
This short story is quite interesting. I really enjoyed reading it. Reveca pulls on the emotions as she seems to be heartbroken and rightly so. There are several characters, though, that I have become attached to and can’t wait to learn more about them. I would definitely recommend this well written book to paranormal and fantasy lovers alike.

I received episodes 1-4 through Netgalley for an honest review. The following is my review for the first 4 episodes.
The Edge started out a little confusing and I wasn’t sure what I thought about it. I was intrigued by the idea of a paranormal MC and figured I would keep reading to see where things went. I am glad I stuck it out. I am still a little unsure about all of the paranormal details but I have been drawn in. The Edge is like a soap opera, there are several things going on and they unfold out in true episodic drama. There are times that the wording is a little hard to follow but the series as a whole is addictive.

I feel like a broken record when I review Jamie's books. I always love each one just a little more than the last. And I always end up even more hooked into the little world she has created. This book is no different. I was a little lost at first just because this story is so much different. But it quickly began tying in with all of her other books and bringing in other characters that I am already familiar with. It builds on the massive story she has already created while still remaining independent.
Jamie is amazingly talented, and if you haven't already read her other stories, you are missing out on discovering your new favorite book with each one you read.

Two things I have a fascination with, motorcycle clubs and witches and both well written by the Jamie in edge. In 4 short chapters I am completely hooked. Something about Jamie's writing just draws you into the story and this one is no different. Revecca who is the Queen of darkness and a daughter to a lethal motorcycle club portrays the ultimate strength of a woman. As someone who has read many books about mc's this is a whole new playing field

Four chapters long and I'm completely hooked! While this story has witches and more, it is not your average paranormal story- it's got its own edge to it (sorry but that's just the truth). All of the aspects of the story- the characters, the attitude, the suspense to know what happens next, and of course the motorcycles- keeps you wanting more. I really enjoyed reading this story and I am very excited for the next episode!! Great read!

It’s going to hook you, just like it hooked me! There’s a biker club of paranormal hawtness. :) And there’s a whole lot of mystery with a whole bunch of crazy happening. Plus, something totally epic happens right at the end of episode one, Revecca’s past comes back to meet her present. It’s amazing. I absolutely cannot wait to get my hands on all episodes :) I am going to say 5 PAWS so far because I am salivating to read more. LOL I’ll do a real and full review once I can read the whole book :)

This book is a serial 4 chapters every 2 week unless we want then quicker. Which once you read the first 4 you will be screaming for more. Jamie has corrupted us with Hot Bikers and Witches. Loving the fact that we can see it all as we read. If you love paranormal and hotnees and sex take a read this Hot new book....

This is a great read its kinda like a tv show every 2 weeks a new episode unless we as fans share the on her site then we can get it early. If you love hot biker guys and witches and the world of paranormal the buy it $0.99 for the book. Come on people you cant pass that up and even better you will fall for Jamies books and be like I need more....

Wow! What an amazing mix! Not only is Reveca a very powerful witch, she's always a central member of a deadly biker gang! She lives on the edge between the world of the living and the world of the dead. But it's not that bad, she is surrounded by a bunch of sexy leather-clad bad boys on bikes! This looks to be a riveting and steamy series!

Love paranormal with many twists and turns and this story has it all. Can't wait to read more in this series!!!

This is a different, yet not so different, direction for Jamie Magee. I loved the characters and can not wait for the next episode. However these episodes are too short for my taste! hurry episode two!!!

Very interesting story about an group of Immortals that started a Motorcycle Club. The are led by the fiery Revecca. She is an immortal witch that the local law enforcement thinks is the daughter of another witch they killed years before, but no, it's the same woman. Their group can travel into the land of the dead and pull out who they need.
I thought this story was interesting and Revecca's boys are just too much fun. I enjoyed the playful banter they had going on and Ms. Magee painted a very good picture of the scenery and the characters themselves.

I didn’t like it enough to continue the series.
Things I liked:
The world building seems like there are a lot of interesting parts, but I had trouble understanding all of them.
Things I didn’t like:
We were exposed to too many characters at once.
Reveca has powers, but it was difficult to visualize her using them.
It was poorly edited. I kept getting distracted by missing words or misused words.

Couldn't put it down....grabs you from the beginning and keeps running! I really enjoyed this book of the dark and light mixed into a mc very entertaining and clever! I can't wait to get into the rest of the series!
