This book is formatted and written well. The concepts are explained clearly and make sense. A lot of useful knowledge nuggets here. Personally, I don't think I could adapt to living like this because my anxiety forces me to worry about money constantly.

I have been a single mom for the past seventeen years where I don't get child support. The last two years my kids have had medical issues that have lead to financial troubles. I have started reading finance books to look for ways to try an dig myself out of the hole medical bill have put me in. Up to this point, none have really helped with my mindset on money. Its always been I need money to pay these bill and hope at the end of the month everything is paid.

Garrett Gunderson in Money Unmasked had some really interesting thought processes. The Win, Then Play is not process I had heard of before but is makes sense. I also learned the trauma of the abuse of my past which lead to a PTSD diagnosis had lead to some of the issues I was currently facing financially. There was a lot of information in this the Money Unmaked that I had that thought about previously when it came to money or finances that made sense. This is the first time I was able to connect to a finance book.

I was approved for a copy of Money Unmasked on NetGalley. I plan to get a physical copy and read it again and again.

This is probably a very good book for entrepreneurs. I found the overall theme to be good - don't sacrifice everything you enjoy for the sake of making money. I felt like the author was basically saying do something you love and the money will come. It isn't quite as simple as that. I have known plenty of people who do what they love doing and provide value but don't make much doing it. My biggest problem with this book was I didn't feel like it offered much to people who work some someone else and how they can go from barely making it to being comfortable. Maybe that is a topic for a different book. I think as an entrepreneur, this book offers very good advice and tries to get people to change a mind set. I do agree that if you are making money simply to make money, you will never have enough. I also agree that you shouldn't spend your life miserable and miss out on doing things that are important - many of which don't cost any money just some of your time.

I received this book through Goodreads Giveaways Program.

My rating is 3 stars because was not overly impressed with some of Gunderson's ideas. I like Win then play but for most individuals this is not a workable option. You have to play before you can win. I'm also not a believer in cash flow is king philosphy. So some investments never provide consistent cashflow but could have a significant windfall in the future. Some of my best investments have fallen under this category.

Interest read but the best book on finances or life.

Not just another self help

Garrett has done an excellent job in helping his reader understand why their experiences of the past have a major hold on how they experience their financial future by the filters they have incurred, involuntarily. By helping identify what they are and seeing how to navigate around them, Garrett aids in an individuals ability to ascertain their financial future through self-awareness and emboldens their confidence in making the necessary adjustments to walk it out.

Although the terminology is unique to the author and takes a bit of getting used to, that is a plus since it makes you actually think about what is being said.

Success isn't about money or about what your boss, your parents, your friends or anyone else thinks -- it's about what's important to you.

As we used to say in the military, "attitude determines altitude." The author defines 4 money mindsets that lead to failure and their 4 counterparts that lead to success.

Highly recommended for anyone who wants some insight into making their life count for what they believe in.

The writer puts the accumulation of wealth in perspective. It's not always how many zeros are after the one (from ten dollars to then million), it is how to achieve a balance between saving for the future while also enjoying life, such as developing hobbies. Good read.

An interesting book about money and how to make your life more amendable to having what you need income wise. I liked the exercises and the ideas of play to win.
