Life's too short to write (or read) in just one genre, right? But whether Alene's working on a high-brow historical with witty repartee or a kid's adventure series with magic and dragons, Alene's goal is to help her readers learn, laugh, and maybe even get a little choked up. If you manage to do one or all of those things while reading her books, she'd love to hear about it in your review.

When not writing, Alene's probably trying to homeschool her kids, sing, or . . . who am I kidding? She’s doing dishes or laundry. So. Much. Laundry. Hopefully, she’s listening to a great audiobook, too. Alene lives in southern California with her husband, six children, a beloved auntie, and a dog named Bubs.

An Engagement of Errors is such a great title for this book! I loved being able to be immersed back into this family and their ups and downs. We first saw them in the author's previous book, An Engagement of Sorts, which was the sister Anne's story with her husband Thomas. And yes, you do get to see them again in this book and they were just as fun!

This books opens with giving a good set up of our characters. The struggles and heartaches that they are facing or about to face being put on display and foreshadowed for some. Unfortunately for women in this time period, they were very dependent upon male relatives, especially fathers and husbands to provide for them or leave them an inheritance of sorts. But Elisabeth finds herself beholden to her dead husband's brother who is now the heir for her living. And she must marry again soon or she might find herself penniless and without a home if her brother-in-law is to marry.

Charlotte the other sister finds herself in desperate need of a proposal as well due to her sister Elisabeth giving birth to a little girl. But when proposals don't happen and Charlotte cares more for her sister, her mother is beside herself!

These two sisters are so sweet to watch together and how much they care for each other. But unfortunately their paths and connections get a little muddled together and mixed up and around and...ok, not that badly muddled up. But there are some events that happen and cause them to be engaged to one person and their hearts connecting to someone else.

I loved the letters that were written throughout the book and the friendship and care that was developed between two characters. And I loved the language lessons and budding friendship and care that grew. And the care of a doctor towards a sister. *sigh* Two sweet and a bit unconventional love stories happening throughout the book. But watch out for the mother! You'll be shaking your head and then cheering! I promise!!!

Elisabeth and Charlotte. Charles and Sebastian. Four people who have some deep soul searching and decisions to make all while being caught up in the Engagement of Errors. But never fear. Good triumphs and love prevails. ;-)

Content: Clean. This book deals with childbirth, death and smallpox. But all three instances are written very well and nothing overly graphic. Some kisses but nothing further.

I received a copy from the author. All thoughts and opinions in the review are my own.

Happy Reading!!!

A lot can happen when two sisters are looking for husbands at the same time. Sisters Elisabeth and Charlotte are both looking to marry but for different reasons. Elisabeth is a widow with a newborn girl who is dependent on her brother-in-law's kindness, since he is now heir to the estate. Finding a husband is her only option for stability and she'll settle for a marriage of convenience. Meanwhile, youngest sister Charlotte wants a love match. Throw in a newly widowed doctor who has a newborn and a toddler, a handsome German with a slight stutter, and a case of small pox and who knows what could happen!

These sisters not only differ in looks and personality but in what they expect from marriage. Elisabeth is her mother's daughter--stoic in the face of adversity, knowing what needs to be done and doing it. Her first marriage wasn't very loving so a marriage of convenience doesn't seem like a difficult choice for her. Charlotte is sweet, innocent, and full of life. She wants someone who loves her for more than her beauty.

What I loved:
* Elisabeth and Charlotte's sisterly bond
* Sebastian ❤️
* Seeing Anne and Thomas (from An Engagement of Sorts)
* Elisabeth's letters to Charles
* When Elisabeth sends their mother packing!

Get ready for a regency romance that will put you on a rollercoaster of emotions. You'll laugh, you may cry but it's all worth it in the end. I received a complimentary copy from the author. All thoughts and opinions expressed in this review are my own.

When I seen this book revolved around two sisters trying to find husbands and one falls for the others fiancé, I knew I needed to read it! And I’m so glad I did!!

Due to certain circumstances, Elisabeth and Charlotte must find husbands. One wants stability, the other love.

Elisabeth is a widow with a newborn and accepts a proposal for a marriage of convenience to a recently widowed gentleman with 2 children. Charlotte wants love, but she didn’t plan on finding it with her sister’s fiancé!

I loved this book cause you get two love stories in one! The 4 main characters were wonderful! Elisabeth was pragmatic and responsible, but deep down just wanted someone to love her! Charlotte was loving and sweet! Sebastian and Charles were were the perfect matches for them! They made me swoon and smile throughout the whole book! The love mix-up made for some humorous and tender moments!

There are several things happening in this story with 4 POV’s, but Alene pulled it off so beautifully!! You will be rooting for them to find their HEA and you won’t be disappointed!! I will be reading this one again!

This was my first book by Alene and I am hooked! Her writing is beautiful and engaging!

Things I loved:
🤍The language lessons!
🤍Little Sophie
🤍Sisterhood
🤍Swoony MMC’s
🤍Sweet Henry! (Please say he gets a book next!)
🤍2 Love stories!
🤍The kisses!

This is book 2 in the series! I haven’t read book 1 yet, but that will change very soon!!

Thank you Alene Wecker for letting me be on your launch team!! A positive review was not required, and all thoughts and opinions are my own!!

It was fun jumping back to this world and characters that Arlene Wecker has created! While An Engagement of Sorts was more comical through a lot of the book, An Engagement of Errors had a much more serious vibe. I enjoyed getting Elisabeth and Charlotte’s story this way as it suited their personalities well. And we still got some entertaining Thomas and Anne moments!

You basically get two love stories for the price of one here! I loved Charlotte and Charles and enjoyed the twist of circumstances that brought them in close contact with each other. They really did go so well together and I loved how Charles admired Charlotte for things that truly mattered. He looked beyond her outward appearances and saw her heart.

Elisabeth was definitely a harder character to like, as she was basically molded to be stoic and aloof. But this didn’t stop sweet, gentle Sebastian! There was a decent amount of back and forth but he stayed the course and their sweet love story was very satisfying. I liked seeing the growth in Elisabeth’s character.
I think my favorite part of the story involved a decision regarding her mother… yep, Elisabeth was my hero after that too 😂.

This was a nice clean romance with lots of characters and good conclusions all around. I do hope we get a story for dear Henry though… I think he deserves to find someone who will love him!

I received an advanced copy of this book from the author. I was not required to leave a positive review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Alene Wecker sucked me into this tale of two sisters. It’s quite unusual to read a book that follows two romances, but Alene pulled it off. It was also great to see Anne and Thomas again from her first novel An Engagement of Sorts.

Though this is the second book, they are written to be read as a standalone, but I do recommend her first book as well.

I loved every moment of this book. The characters are great and seeing their growth makes them feel so real. I highly recommend this book.

What a brilliantly darling comedy of errors!

Elisabeth becomes a single mother when her baby is born after her husband's passing and when her best friend dies, leaving a baby behind, a marriage of convenience is arranged. Or is it? Charlotte, Elisabeth's younger sister, has a whole slew of suitors, but a tangled up love triangle (or would it be love square?) arises when unforeseen circumstances occur.

I couldn't get enough of these delightful characters. Elisabeth is more serious, as she has much to lose in life and now has an infant to care for. Her relationship with Charlotte, a happy, charming girl, isn't the best, but they truly are at different stages of life. The shy and stuttering German, Sebastian, is a great addition to the story, and doctor Charles is the icing on the cake.

Wecker does a great job of throwing in a ball of yarn and untangling it in a realistic and more true-to-times way, showing how hard life could be back in the Regency times. I love her writing style and pacing, as well as the character development, and exploration and discovery of feelings.

Beautifully written and executed, this is a story for an Regency romance lover.

Content: mother dies in childbirth; mild romance

This is definitely a unique regency romance! Two sisters needing to find a spouse quickly to save the family from financial ruin. One of them desperately needs to marry in order to support herself and her newborn daughter. The same one lost her spouse to death and the other has never married. This story has so many different facets to it. Charlotte and Elizabeth are so different and I enjoyed watching their relationship grow and change. This story pulls on your heartstrings with the emotional ups and downs of family relationships, sickness, death, and the uncertainty of life. You get to follow both sisters as they travel on their journey to love.

I loved seeing Anne and Thomas from the previous book, An Engagement of Sorts. While the two books share characters, they can each be read as a standalone, but it is so much better if you read both! This is a great regency romance and I was rooting for Sebastian the entire way! (I think you will too) Find a comfy chair and enjoy Elizabeth and Charlotte’s journey to love! I received a copy of this book for free; all thoughts and opinions are my own.

When Elisabeth is left a young widow and new mother, she has one thing on her mind, find a husband. The only way to do that is to go back out into society and compete with the new debutantes which includes her beautiful, younger sisters. Being of a practical nature, Elisabeth sees marriage as a convenience and a means for financial stability, she accepts the proposal of a gentleman who can offer that and only that. When Elisabeth starts to open her heart to love, she soon realizes that maybe a love match might be within reach and to unexpected suitor.

Charlotte, Elisabeth’s sister, is the belle of the season. Opposite of her sister, Charlotte wants nothing more than to find a love match that rivals the ones she reads about in her novels. With many prospects knocking at her door, you think that would be easy. Yet, it takes becoming ill and sent to quarantine for Charlotte to find a man who loves her for more than her outward beauty. That man? Her sister’s fiance.

“An Engagement of Errors” is a beautiful book about sisters, building relationships and the love that can exist between them. I loved the differences between the sisters and how they learn to rely on each other. It reminded me of my own sisters and how we are so different, yet willing to do anything for each other.

Although this book has some more serious and heavy aspects, it wasn’t overwhelming. There were still plenty of fun, tender and lighthearted moments that I love to read in a romance. I appreciated that each main character had something that they were struggling with. It allowed for some great character growth and moments of connecting with the characters which I always love.

Alene Wecker did a wonderful job with this new story. I loved “An Engagement of Sorts” and had high hopes for loving this one too. I was not disappointed! Alene has a talent of drawing her readers into her stories and not letting them go even after the story ends. This is one I’ll continue to think about and read again. “An Engagement of Errors” is the perfect read for someone who is looking for a regency romance with loss, hope, healing and love.

Thank you to Alene Wecker for an advanced copy. These opinions are my own.

“Yes, Anne. I might be able to have love, but without a feather to fly on.”

“You may not have a feather to fly on,” Thomas yawned and rubbed the sleep from his eyes. “But some might say that love gives you wings.”

The sentiment, which was probably meant to be hopeful, only caused Elisabeth’s insides to writhe. “I hardly find that comforting. What if those people are wrong? Or what if love only gives you paper wings, ready to disintegrate during the first storm?”

I absolutely adored this book. I loved the “engagement of errors” (more like entanglements) that gave this story life, the sweet and selfless sisters that sacrificed so much for those in the time of need, and the wonderful men who win their hearts.

This book gives you two unlikely love stories, a proposed marriage of convenience, forced proximity, he takes care of her, and an infuriating, meddling mother that you will want to throttle. Our characters experience firsthand the fact that love, like death, is no respecter of person, age, station, or prearranged agreement. It will find you and when it does you cannot escape its hold.

I listened to the audiobook, as well as read along with the ebook. The audio was very well done. This is the second book in this collection. I haven’t read the first and had no trouble jumping right into this one. However, I definitely want to go back and read Thomas’s and Anne’s story, those two have some great chemistry.

Thank you to the author for my listening copy. All opinions are my own.

Every time I thought the story was going to take a predictable turn, it surprised me. I love when that happens! Based on the title and write up, I went in expecting the classic (and personally disliked) use of miscommunication as a plot device; however, I was pleasantly surprised that this never happens.

I confess that I found Elizabeth only barely likable but Charlotte is delightful and carries the day. I enjoyed the book quite a lot and definitely recommend it.

An Engagement of Errors takes us back to a family we first met in a previous book, An Engagement of Sorts. There, we read of sister Anne and how she eventually fell in love and married Thomas. In this book, we follow the stories of the other sisters, Elisabeth and Charlotte, and their nosy and very pushy mother.

At the heart of this story is the vulnerability of women during this era and having to rely on men for everything. With the death of Elisabeth's husband, she now needs to find a way to survive for herself and her newborn daughter. What ensues is genuinely a Comedy of Errors which I'm sure is how the name of this book was decided on. If you are not familiar with the saying "A Comedy of Errors" here is what it means, it describes a series of events that are funny because of all of the confusion and incompetence. There is plenty of that in An Engagement of Errors and this truly adds to the humor found among its pages. The romance is wonderful and I really liked how both sisters found their perfect matches in such strange and roundabout ways. Without giving anything away, just know that you as a reader will be flung into a flurry of up-and-down emotions, friendly banter, many tears, great laughs, and multiple sigh-worthy kisses.

I really loved the book before this, An Engagement of Sorts, but this one was not it for me. It was much darker than the first one, but most of all, I couldn't get past some of the characters and the way the couples ended up together. I feel like I would've enjoyed the stories much more if the same couples ended up together, but without the mess (that crossed one too many lines for me) that came before it.

Elisabeth is a widow and has just given birth to her daughter, Lydia. She now has to find someone to marry and take care of them. Charlotte, is out in society. She wants to marry for love but her mother and Elisabeth want her to marry Elisabeth’s brother-in-law. Charles, a doctor, just lost his wife due to childbirth. Now he has a newborn son, David and toddler aged daughter, Sophie, to care for on his own and needs a wife. Sebastian is German and gets very nervous around women and that makes him stammer. Elisabeth takes Charles’s newborn to nurse and care for as well as his daughter so he can mourn. Charlotte helps with their care. Charles proposes to Elisabeth to marry him in name only and he will take care of her and her daughter and she can take care of his children. She agrees. But when smallpox hits and Charlotte and Sophie get sick, Charles takes them back to his home to quarantine them so the infants don’t get it. Charlotte and Charles spend weeks together and start to have feelings towards each other but Charles is engaged to Elisabeth. And Elisabeth is the only woman Sebastian feels comfortable talking to.

Ok can I just say, wow?! I absolutely loved this book! This is my first read by Alene Wecker and I love her writing! It’s so beautifully done and makes you feel everything as deep as the characters do. Great story telling. This book has some tragic moments but also a little bit of humor thrown in. The characters are wonderful. I loved all 4 main characters! Elisabeth and her sister Charlotte, Charles Bell and Sebastian Kehr. Elisabeth is my favorite because of how much she grows throughout the book. Charles is my second favorite. There is so much going on in this book that you would think you would get confused but no, it is all told perfectly!

Absolutely amazing story! Clean and I Definitely recommend!

I read Regency romances for their predictability and their similar approach to love and courtship. So, imagine my surprise when this book took off like a rogue Mary Poppins Merry-Go-Round, carrying me right off my regular ride into all the different emotions that Regency England had to offer. It was amazing. I laughed, I cried, I gasped, I swooned.

Characters - Elisabeth is practical. She has to be. She's recently widowed with a new baby and about to lose everything. Charlotte is the opposite, but she can be. She's beautiful, exciting, and charming. The development of these two on their own and then as sisters is such a lovely thing to watch unfold. Elisabeth is mildly cold and impatient toward Charlotte in the beginning, but this is explained in greater depth around page 100. Be nice to Elisabeth.

Atmosphere - this book is definitely heavier than others in the genre. It addresses the realities of living in the early 1800s, including war, maternal mortality, communicable diseases, and the discomforts of early motherhood, coupled with a nice serving verbal abuse.

Writing Style - I'm a huge fan of Arlene's writing. Her pace and flow move the story along without rushing too quickly or lingering too long. I love how she included the Shakespeare motif and all the German.

Plot - although I'll never get bored of the boy meets girl, friends and enemies to lovers, or mistaken identity tropes it's so refreshing when the plot is a little more complicated and complex.

Intrigue - I'll be honest, I had no idea how this was going to all work out in the end. Luckily, Charles truly held all the cards and is amazing. (I imagined him as a young Johnny Depp, but Sweeney Todd? More like swoony Todd).

Logic and Relationships - thank you Arlene for creating relationships that actually develop over time. The two week romances are fun, but I love feeling solid about the future of protagonists I become emotionally invested in.

Enjoyment - I loved this book. It was certainly in my top 5 reads this year. I heartily recommend it for anyone who likes and appreciates a more realistic approach to the Regency period and its major pitfalls, and also for someone who likes a more emotional and serious courting process.

Elizabeth is one of those characters who has the potential to seem cold and heartless. She is in line with society's expectations and listens to what her meddling mother tells her, though she often chafes at the idea. She knows that some freedom lies in being married, especially at this time. As a recent widow, she has additional hope for freedom, but knows that her family's comfort lies in her marriage and that of her sister. What I saw in Elizabeth was a little less straightforward. I saw a woman who was scared, loving, and trying to figure out what she wanted and needed.

Her sister Charllotte, wants to marry for love and is being pushed by her mother towards Elizabeth's late husband's brother. She is okay with him, but cannot feel the spark she wants. Elizabeth finds herself engaged to a doctor who is widowed with two children. Charlotte finds herself in quarantine at the doctor's home.

What ensues is the unfolding of two carefully laid plans and two romances that were quite unlike what was expected.

This story was lovely and refreshing. It was well written and complex. I found myself empathizing with Elizabeth as her own expectations were turned upside down and she needed to find out a bit more about her own heart.

Charlotte was lovely and had to grow into her own new perceptions of herself through an illness that could have killed her.

This book was beautiful and page turning. It revealed itself to be more than I could have dreamed.

I received an early copy through the publisher and this is my honest review.

My review

This is my first Alene Wecker novel and it was so well written. I applaud her use of Shakespeare and the subtle plot shifts as sisters Charlotte and Elizabeth find love. I loved how real the characters are and even those who have a smaller part to play, stand out because of the way Wecker tells their tale. While I loved the entire story, and even more, the ending...my favorite parts are when Elizabeth realizes she needs to change in order to thrive. The author's dedication preface is another favorite. I loved how she tied it into the story as well when the characters are conversing. You will not be disappointed if you pick up and read An Engagement of Errors. Happy reading, friends!

I came into this book with little to no knowledge of the story and characters. Alene Wecker took a straightforward storyline and made it deep, engrossing, engaging, and complex!

Elizabeth, a recent widow and expectant mother, is waiting to see if her child brings security or financial ruin. She has always done her part for the family: marrying well, taking care of the accounts and household, as well as being a proper older sister. Love is and has always been transactional for her.

Lottie, Elizabeth’s 17 year old sister and diamond of the first water, is a true romantic. She cannot fathom entering marriage unless true love is involved regardless of what her mother says. She is kind, thoughtful, self-less, and genuine. Being barraged by suitors is NOT what she wants. Especially when bad poetry is involved.

When a marriage of convenience is settled upon- both sisters are resigned to their fate. Which will win out in the end: a marriage of convenience or true love?

Read this book if you like:

🪶 A (Somewhat) Friendless Foreigner
🪶 Falling for Your Sister’s Betrothed
🪶 Unexpected Quarantine
🪶 Forced Proximity

If you are looking for a book with complex characters, an unexpected storyline, and moments that make you feel emotions (laughter and tears), this is the book for you!

An Engagement of Errors Review
Available now!

Thank you @authoralenewecker for the ARC of this novel. All thoughts are my own.

This one was a great read that I have taken my time with it. Those who know would be shocked that I was able to accomplish this because I'd I love a book I read it as fast as I possibly can. This book was a unique story and idea.

This story is about two sisters Elizabeth and Charlotte. One who's husband has just made her a widow with child. While another not sure she is interested in any of her suitors. Elizabeth having became a widow gives birth to a baby girl making her brother in law the person inheriting her husband's land and such. She must marry to keep her status and lifestyle. When desperate you made agree to many things. However what happens when people fall for the "wrong" people?

Like I said before, I have never read a story plot like this. I enjoyed it. I was in a bit of a reading slump before this book and I thinks that's why I savored it a little bit more and took my time.

Content: kisses, death, forbidden romancw

First, let me say this audiobook was excellent! The narrator was easy to listen to and did a wonderful job with all the different characters and voice inflections.

My favorite thing about this book was that we get double the romance! Sisters Elisabeth and Charlotte are both looking for husbands. Because of her circumstance, Elisabeth knows she must let convenience take precedence over love. However, Charlotte dreams of finding a love match. Both sisters will learn to open their hearts to new and unexpected possibilities.

I really loved all four main characters in this book. They are definitely put through the wringer in their journey to love. Some truly tragic moments that broke my heart reminding me how difficult life could be during this time period. This book was full of emotional highs and lows. But also many tender, sweet moments of love and hope.

The ending was a little long winded for me, but overall I found this book very enjoyable. I would definitely recommend it and the audiobook to all clean regency romance readers!

Thanks to the author for the complimentary audiobook. All thoughts are my own.

I loved this book! I found it on a Kindle recommendation after I read something else, and I couldn’t put it down. Having two sisters fall in love with each other’s beau could be done quickly in an unsatisfactory way, but Ms. Wecker developed each love story and character (all four!) beautifully. I especially liked how Elizabeth, the widow, had to first discover her shortcomings before she could grow into someone to love. All four main characters were very human and believable, and I was rooting for all of them.

All the regency “feels” were there—the suitors, the snubs, the social strictures, the uncertainty, the need for security even while one wishes for love, and even some things we don’t think about much, like … hmm, I guess that would be a spoiler.

In any case, I’m heading for the earlier ones (which weren’t necessary to thoroughly enjoy this one) and I'm hoping she gets Henry’s story off Vella and into KU.

not as good as the first book in the series but the author was COOKING 🔥 a special dish known as character assassination. All of the sisters (Anne and Lottie and Elizabeth) have the same personality traits inner-wise — witty and kind, although on the external there is a little more deviation I will admit. I thought Lizzie was supposed to be cruel and closed off to others but that apparently just disappeared on a whim. And when did she become flirtatious? I thought Anne did that… see all three of them are the same.

Like the grey sisters they share everything except for minor body organs

Tooth: Anne (cutting words)
Eye: Charlotte (the prettiest)
Brain: Lizzie (only one willing to marry for stability)

+ 1 to the author for making one of the couples Charles x Charlotte. Maybe the author couldn’t think of a ship name for the couple so she made it impossible to need one, just use one or the other

Elisabeth and her sister, Charlotte, need to get married. Elizabeth accepts a proposal for a marriage of convenience to a recently widowed gentleman so she can care for his children. Charlotte really wants a love match and she finds one. The problem…? He’s her sister’s fiancé!!!

What a great premise for a book! I really enjoyed all the main characters, the mother not so much :). The author very skillfully navigates the transformation of both sisters and their ability to change in response to their situations. Both of the MMCs were so good and patient and kind.

As we read we come to realize what and who are really important in life and how our actions can have such an effect on those around us. This was an enjoyable, feel good read. I would recommend it to anyone looking foe a sweet, clean regency romance.

"What could be more secure than love?"

This beautiful quote from An Engagement of Errors pretty much sums up this story. Two sisters each needing love in their own way and finding it unexpectedly in each other's admirers or at least presumed admirers. I loved the authors fun tie in of Shakespeare and how easy this story flowed. At times I found myself cheering for and frustrated with both sisters, but ultimately longing for peace and love to win. The sisterly love resonanted with me having my own sisters. And I appreciated the exploration of what love truly means. Overall, a delightful read of misunderstandings and happy endings. I would not hesitate to recommend.

I did receive and ARC for an honest review and all opinions are my own.

This book was a lot, in a good way. I wanted to read it because I loved the lighthearted humor in the first book. This book was incredibly different but I still enjoyed it.

It had some of the lightness promised with one sister falling in love with her sister's fiance. But it was also deeply emotional in other ways and addressed childbirth, grief, loss, and so many other deep topics. I appreciated the well rounded feel and although the topics were heavy, I never felt heavy reading them. Overall, I enjoyed watching the lighthearted humor and the characters' growth and development. A great read and great sequel to one of my favorite books!

This is my first book I’ve listened to by Alene Wecker.

I was blown away. She’s a fantastic storyteller and can capture the regency tone with finesse. I can’t wait to listen to her other regency book (I hope more is coming)!

Her characters were interesting (flawed), and tugged at different elements of the regency era that I haven’t come across often. I enjoyed every minute of this book. The narration was splendid. This book has emotion and a quality plot line with a bigger cast of characters and POVs. It was well written and very enjoyable. I highly recommend this book!

Good writing and interesting premise but I couldn’t get to like Elizabeth. She kept blowing hot and cold on her love interest in a way I couldn’t accept, no matter the author’s attempts to explain it away. Elizabeth even turns his proposal into a joke, poor guy. I didn’t blame him at all for deciding never to see her again. That’s about how I felt at that point. Three stars for empathetically portraying a nursing mother’s joy and commitment and the heart-wrenching decision of a man who loved his recently deceased wife to allow himself to love again.

I am a jaded reader, so it it is a very rare book indeed that can elicit a jaw dropping moment...and this one did! Don't panic. No spoiler alerts. Suffice it to say you'll have to read this one to experience the moment yourself ;) This was such a fun and unexpected Regency tale. Granted, there were dark times as well, but that balanced the story out to a well-rounded tale. Definitely worth cozying up for an entire afternoon with this.

Lastly, just look at that cover and you'll know what a delight it is.
