A viral photo, a fake relationship, and one big problem.
Matthew
All I wanted was a quiet few days.
Instead, I get coffee poured on me, a gossip scandal, and a fake girlfriend.
My agent insists this PR stunt will boost my career.
Fake dating her for a few months? Fine. No problem.
Except it’s definitely a problem.
The more we fake this, the more I forget it’s not real.
Beth
One spilled coffee, a dramatic slip, and now I’m the leading lady in a sports romance I didn’t sign up for.
But when Matthew offers me the perfect job, I can't say no.
Even if it includes playing his fake girlfriend.
He needs good press. I need clients.
It's a simple keep it professional, keep it temporary.
But now I’m asking myself one question—when the contract ends, what happens to us?

I could not put this book down. The story of Betthew was a Par for sure. The ending was everything anyone could have hoped for. I had a few tears at the end.
Don’t Go Breakin’ the Rules (think 80s music even though the tune is from 1976)!
What a great story! The one thing I really liked about this book was the low angst between the characters. Everyone knows there has to be something that makes the characters realize their true feelings for each other. This usually happens with a misunderstanding of some sort that leads to hurt feelings and anger before the resolution of them being together. This book took a different path with the angst being more internal to each character instead of external.
I enjoy golf so I didn’t have any issues with any of the vernacular but I was appreciative that the author took the time to give a short synopsis of good terms at the very beginning for anyone that may not have the same understanding of the game. I wish more authors would do this - specifically with soccer and rugby. I never know what’s going on in those books!!
Both characters were very likable as well as their families. I’m hoping that maybe some of the friends and/or siblings may end up with their own books.
The one thing, and I mean very small thing, I didn’t like - I wish Matthew and Beth had different colored eyes. Weird I know and maybe it’s just me but they both had green eyes and usually the descriptions authors give are very different but it was like everyone had green eyes. Both the main characters and both of the moms, so 4 people with green eyes.
I received an ARC from the author but wasn’t required to post a review. This is my honest, voluntary feeling I felt upon completing it.
Beth is fresh out of college and looking to find a job to use her marketing talents on when an embarrassing moment later transforms into a business proposition and later something else!
Follow these two as she helps him gain followers and sponsors and later wonders about the contract she created aside from the business contract to only fake being his girlfriend to help him gain publicity.
If you’re looking for a no spice series which will make you smile and cheer the respective characters to get together in a lasting relationship pick up not only this book but this entire series! I’ve already read and loved the first book just as much as I have this one so it’s easy to recommend both to you.
I promise you, you won’t regret reading this book!
✅⛳️Thank you @bellagreeneauthor for the opportunity to read Fore-Ever Yours. This is my honest review. All opinions expressed are my own.
My thoughts: LOL… what a ✅cute ✅unexpected ✅messy meet up🫠 Main characters are Beth and Matthew. Beth has just graduated from college and needs to find a job. Golfer Matthew wants to advance his golfing career. Fun begins when a fake relationship seems to help both of them. ⛳️Fore-Ever Yours is a funny, cute and hole-in-one⛳️
Mathew and Beth is the sweetest story.! Fake Dating where lines are crossed and blurred, happily.Bella Greene has written an effortless page turner.! I was reading during my breaks at work , I just had to know more. NOW!
“I didn’t pursue golf to become America’s Next Heartthrob. I’m an athlete . I train, I grind.”
Fore Ever Yours by Bella Greene Beth Mitchell grew up here in Meadowbrook along with her older brother Ethan with loving parents in a close albeit nosy community . Well Ashley at the coffee shop seems pleased to see her back home from college where she’s been learning book knowledge. “It’s so good to see you! “ “It’s only been a few months, and you look like a new person. Must be the fancy college degree you just earned.” “ Now I just have to figure out what to do with it,” slinging Lattes might seem a breeze to her friend who does tease but she needs a promotions job if you please. Well would you know it ,she meets a handsome guy and she does blow it ,flailing her arms and disarms his coffee cup ,thank goodness it’s empty she thinks while promptly depositing her own cup from the tray to his shoes .Oh what an expensive looking pair she must go away fetch napkins she’ll be right back ,only there’s still a peppermint latte puddle and she nearly ended up thwack on her back but for the quick reflections of the man who has her affections already ,and here she’s dreaming of them going steady….come now Beth don’t go getting ahead of yourself but perhaps you’d be better shouting Fore Ever Yours-elf…Might be better off as he does scoff ,he’s used to getting more than that out of a pond or in the rough , it’s part of the play ,a routine Pebble Beach type of day. Well thanks to this meet with Matthew Wilkes ,she’s the hot gossip while the Chai Tea gossip crew the three Cs’s who do like to tease while supping teas. Coffee Loft has its resident reporters you see who know everyone in town’s most embarrassing history ,as well as breaking news feed. Well this publicity plants the seed and it’s Matthew’s agent Travis who sees opportunities in this and he has him all in the fake kiss and more business if she plays ball in PR she’s a star. But this isn’t what she meant when she said she wants a job in promotions,..Thanks to her mate she checks his publicity out and it’s lacking no doubt ,keeps himself to himself it seems , and this this she dreams while unbeknownst he schemes…Then he turns up at her door ,she gets a lucrative offer of a promotional dream job for four months of her time plus she gets to use her acting skills as his fake date ..,Ooh this book is first rate good and he’s superb on the fairway swinging his wood ( it’s a golf club) or on the green putting the ball in. All in all they have a great tour together ,is this amour forevermore ? Or should that be FORE? Whatever it is this book is bliss . The writing is superb ,every bit of the blurb is true and then some ,I’m telling you . It’s great storytelling and EVER so compelling too . Par for the course ,its author the awesome Bella Greene has given drive and passion in this book . Make it YOURS go take a look ,see for yourself,it really is top of the shelf amazing so stop your grazing and get gazing.
I received a free copy of the book via Booksprout, and the following review is entirely my own voluntary and honest opinion.
Bella Greene's novel “Fore-Ever Yours” is the second volume in the “Sweet Sports Kisses” series, another charming, light-hearted romance story in which sport once again plays an important role. What makes the series special is that each part is written by a different author, and although the stories are separate, they share a common thread: the fictional charity Play It Forward. This programme connects athletes with young patrons, who are not only role models, but also help them improve themselves – through sport and community.
This book follows the story of Beth, a newly-graduate who moves back home to her hometown. Although she is determined to find a job in her field – marketing – it is not an easy task in a small town, especially as she wants to stay close to her family. Then a perfectly ordinary yet fateful moment – a spilled coffee – brings her in contact with Matthew, a professional golfer.
Matthew's sports career is going well, but the attention of sponsors is no longer just about performance, but also about his personal life. So when he's seen in public with Beth, his manager sees an opportunity: a ‘romance’ off the course could lead to new contracts. The solution? A well-established fake relationship – and a formal employment contract for Beth to work as Matthew's personal marketing assistant.
For Beth, the decision is not an easy one, but it becomes increasingly clear that this offer embodies everything she's been hoping for. A dream job with just a little pretence. Or at least at first. Because as they travel together from city to city, tournament to tournament, the boundaries gradually fade. What was initially thought to be a mere business arrangement soon turns into a real relationship. By working together, spending time together, and as their emotions deepen, their relationship takes on a whole new dimension.
“Fore-Ever Yours” is not only romantic and sweet, but also fun – as playful as it is emotional. The author delicately builds chemistry between the characters while also authentically portraying the world of sports and the difficulties of career paths. This novel is also a perfect example of how well a ‘forced love’ story can work when it is filled with real emotion and likable characters.
Bella Greene's novel is a light, yet heartfelt read that is at once a story about career, new beginnings and how to find love at the most unexpected moments – sometimes even with a spilled coffee.
Beth Mitchell is home after graduating college with a marketing degree. The next step is looking for a meaningful job that will keep her close to home and let her earn enough money that she can afford to stay here. She stops in the local coffee shop to work through her choices and decisions. But as she takes a big stretch to relax, her elbow knocks a man’s coffee out of his hand and into her lap. Trying to hand his empty cup back to him, she knocks her own coffee on the floor and all over his white sneakers. Rushing for napkins to help clean up the mess, she slips on her spilled coffee, and he thankfully catches her and pulls her up against his chest. What just happened? He even smells good and is still holding her. Ashley brings napkins and two more cups of coffee for them. Then Matthew Wilkes tells her his name and walks out the door as she notices the town gossips staring at her and whispering. Before she knows it, a report on her new boyfriend is out on the media sites! And Matthew got the same teasing when his agent Travis called him, delighted that he took his advice to get rid of the ‘unapproachable bachelor’ thing and got a girlfriend to make him more interesting! This is what the sponsors want to see to interest more people! Still confused, Travis told him to check his phone where he saw a picture of himself holding the girl from the coffee shop in his arms! Social media went wild when several people recognized him. And Travis reminded him that a fake relationship is his shot at the Summit Pro Tour if he can get her to agree.
Since Beth has just graduated with a marketing degree, this works right into Travis’ plan. They can help her and she can help them. And perhaps Matthew and Beth may be pulled together even further as they spend time with each other. Could they be heading for a HEA? Or will they just walk away when she attracts fans and sponsors for him and their contract has been fulfilled?
A viral photo, a fake relationship, and one big problem.

Fore-Ever Yours drew me in from the very beginning. It is a heartwarming story filled with wonderful characters, drama, and a fake romance that had me reading “just one more chapter.” Beth has returned home to visit with her family after finishing her finals and her internship. She has missed her family and friends a great deal and is happy to be home. While Beth is happy to be with her family, she’s worried about finding a job and salary that will allow her to stay in Meadowbrook. She heads to the local coffee shop to try and figure out what to do next. Ashley is glad to see her and welcomes her home. She finds a table so she can work on finding the job that she wants. After scrolling through the internet, she reaches up to stretch and comes in contact with an arm that was holding a coffee cup that has now become airborne. She tries to apologize and make up for her accident, but she just makes matters worse. She knocks her cup over and the coffee lands on his white tennis shoes. As she rushes to get more napkins to clean up the mess, she slips in the coffee, but Matthew catches her before she falls. Now, while all this is going on, the Madame C’s (Cecelia, Clara, and Catherine) are whispering amongst themselves. They are known as the town gossips. The news of this fiasco will reach her mom before she does. Matthew’s agent is worried about getting sponsors for the upcoming golf tours. Beth offers to help with this as this is what she has spent the last four years of college working towards. Matthew reluctantly agrees to accept her services. Will the two of them be able to work together and get Matthew the sponsors he needs? How will the two of them handle being involved so closely? Will this working relationship turn into something more? The Madame C’s are a hoot! To find out these answers and more, get your copy of Bella Greene’s Fore-Ever Yours today.
Beth has graduated with a degree in marketing, and has just finished an internship. Now she’s trying to find a job in her field, but not having much luck; Meadowbrook is a small town that doesn’t really have many opportunities.
Leave it to the town gossips, the Madame Cs, to take a run in with a hot guy - on whom Beth spilled coffee - and turn into a budding love story. Turns out Matthew, the guy whose shoes she ruined, is a golfer who is trying to get to a higher level of tournament. The gossip post goes viral, and Matthew’s agent wants him to go with it, and get Beth to be his fake girlfriend for four months of tournaments, social events, and building his brand.
One of the rules Matthew and Beth agree on? Don’t get real feelings. Shyeah, that that EVER works.
A thing I really loved about this book is that after the “about the book” section, the author included a primer labeled Golf 101, so the uninitiated will not be confused. Smart idea! I feel like this should be the norm for every sports romance.
The romance between Matthew and Beth is sweet, and fraught with lack of communication, but only when it comes to their budding feelings for each other. Neither of them want to say anything about it because they think the other person will not feel the same way, and then things would get really awkward. I get that, I really do, but honestly, assumptions are way worse than just ripping off the bandage and coming clean with the truth (too many mixed metaphors? 😅).
I enjoyed all of the characters in this book, and, as this is the first time I’ve read this author’s work, I will be searching out more of her work. This was a sweet and fun ride with that HEA that I crave, because the world is a scary place and we all need to take joy where we can find it, just like Matthew and Beth.
Bella Greene serves up a swoon-worthy winner with Fore-Ever Yours, the second installment in the Sweet Sports Kisses Series—and it’s a total hole-in-one for fans of fake dating tropes, clean romance, and charmingly clumsy meet-cutes.
What starts with a spilled coffee and a viral photo spirals into a PR stunt neither Matthew nor Beth saw coming. Matthew, the brooding athlete just looking for a little peace, suddenly finds himself navigating a pretend relationship with a woman he barely knows—yet can’t seem to stop thinking about. Beth, equally surprised and reluctantly swept into the spotlight, agrees to play the role of doting girlfriend in exchange for a career opportunity too good to pass up. What’s supposed to be temporary quickly becomes something neither of them can fake.
Greene’s writing is witty, heartfelt, and infused with just the right blend of banter and tenderness. The chemistry between Matthew and Beth crackles in all the best ways, without ever straying from the "kisses only" promise. Their emotional growth feels authentic, and readers will find themselves rooting hard for these two to realize what’s real before time runs out.
As part of the Sweet Sports Kisses series, Fore-Ever Yours continues the tradition of wholesome, competition-infused romance, all anchored by the philanthropic Play It Forward organization. Fore-Ever Yours is a delightful escape that balances light-hearted fun with emotional depth. If you love fake dating stories that bloom into real feelings—with no spice, just sincere swoon—this novella is a must-read.
Disclaimer: I received an Advance Reader Copy (ARC) of this book, and this is my honest and unbiased review.
Before I begin, I would like to thank Bella Greene for allowing me to read a copy of her upcoming book, Fore-Ever Yours, which is part of the multi-author Sweet Sport Kisses series and will be available on Amazon on May 14th, 2025.
Matthew is a pro-golfer that just wants to have a few days of quiet time before he has to compete. But when he accidentally gets coffee poured on him, gossip in a local town erupts and goes viral. His manager thinks having a fake girlfriend would boost his career. Beth, the woman who spilled coffee on him, knows that the job as his fake girlfriend would be temporary, and that she needs clients and he needs good press. It’s only for a few months. But the longer they spend time together, the less fake it feels.
This book was lovely. You have Beth, a clever, determined, hardworking, kind, and beautiful young woman that loves spending time with her family and wants to build her career in marketing. You have Matthew, a reserved, sweet, considerate, ambitious, and handsome young man that shies away from social media and focuses on playing professional hockey. The interactions between Beth and Matthew were sweet, honest, and thoughtful. I loved how their friends and manager were shipping them from the very beginning. I barely knew golf, but that didn’t stop me from enjoying the story. Overall, if you like great banter, wonderful family dynamics, and sweet sports / fake-dating / workplace romance with low amounts of spice, then I would highly recommend this book.
What a cute, sweet, easy to read, clean romance Fore-Ever Yours by Bella Greene is. The second book in the Sweet Sports Kisses series, this was my first sports romance featuring golf. Bella provides a wonderful romance that immerses readers with a love story that is a definite hole in one! With low angst and pure romance, this book is easy to fall into. Bella always provide romantic stories that have me swooning.
Matthew and Beth were wonderful characters to read about and watching them grow closer and closer together was a treat. I was able to finish this story in one setting, but never felt the story was rushed or forced. The way they meet is adorable, the way their relationship blossoms is perfect, and in true Bella fashion, the end of the book had our MCs finding their happy ever after.
Bella took great care to ensure the golf lingo wouldn’t be lost on newcomers to the sport, while ensuring it didn’t overshadow the love story being told. This provided a way for the reader to stay fully immersed without becoming lost in the terms and slang. Even though the relationship started off fake, the feelings and attraction to each other was as real as could be. I adore Bella’s writing and this book continues that adoration. If you are looking for an easy to read, clean romance, with a sport not often written about; this book is for you!
As always, review any author notes before reading.
What to Expect: ⛳Small Town Romance 💚Golf Pro MMC ⛳Fake Dating 💚Billionaire Romance ⛳Employee x Boss 💚Workplace Romance ⛳Forbidden Romance 💚Clean Romance
Is a sweet meet cute, close proximity, fake dating romcom with no cliffhanger. Some of the lines I really like --- “Why can’t it just be about the love of the game? Not the fame.” --- "Teamwork makes the dream work," --- Now, we’re not ones to jump to conclusions, but if body language speaks volumes, theirs is reading like a bestseller. --- “Play It Forward, baby! We’re changing lives, one awkward hug at a time,” --- "If you trip on the way to your dreams, at least you’ve got a funny story to tell when you get there.” --- Whenever I think of golf, I picture old men in plaid trousers, whacking at balls while they discuss their stock portfolios. --- “You’re everything he encouraged me to find. Kindness, strength, intelligence…honesty. And you can actually put up with me,” --- "Love is always complicated. It's taking a risk and a leap of faith with another person and hoping they won't let you fall." --- "love was never about the guarantee of forever, but it’s worth the risk of losing. And that you should never let the fear of loss keep you from loving at all.” --- What's the Madame C’s—Cecelia, Clara, and Catherine up to? What's Travis up to? Will Matthew achieve his dream of playing in The Summit Pro Tour? These and other questions will all be answered? I loved Beth and Matthew's story and I'm sure you will too. I've loved everyone of her books that I've read and can't wait to read her next book.
Fore-Ever Yours is the second book in the Sweet Sports Kisses series. This is a multi-author series of sports romcom novellas and while the books are connected through Play It Forward organization, they can all be enjoyed as standalones as well.
I'm not going to lie--- golf seems to me like a sport that would not be at all exciting to watch. But golf romance? Every single one that I've read have been super fun, and this one was no exception. From their first unfortunate meeting, Matthew and Beth drew me right in. When pictures of that first meeting end up in the tabloids, looking like more than it was, fake dating seemed like the perfect way to get him some much-needed PR... and for her to break into the marketing career she'd finally finished her degree for. But playing by their self-imposed rules (like not falling for each other) proved to be easier said than done. They had such a sweet and easy chemistry between them that I found myself really enjoying. As a novella, it was a really quick read... but didn't feel in any way rushed or incomplete... just the perfect short and sweet sports romance to make you smile.
Fore-Ever Yours is a closed-door romance with kisses only and no language.
**ARC received for consideration. All opinions are my own.
Fore-Ever Yours by Bella Greene is a charming, heartwarming romance that made me smile from beginning to end! I had the pleasure of reading this book as part of the ARC Team, and I’m so glad I got the chance—this story truly delivered everything I love in a feel-good romance.
From the first chapter, I was drawn in by the easy banter, the chemistry between the leads, and the light touch of humor that carried through the book. Bella Greene does a wonderful job of creating characters who feel real and relatable, with just the right mix of vulnerability, sass, and emotional depth.
The golf setting added a fun and unique twist to the story, and I loved how it brought the characters together in unexpected ways. The romance felt authentic and sweet, with just the right amount of slow-burn tension and heart-tugging moments.
Fore-Ever Yours is more than just a cute play on words—it’s a beautifully written, emotionally satisfying romance with characters you can’t help but root for. Whether you’re new to Bella Greene or a returning fan, this story will leave you smiling, swooning, and wishing for more.
Highly recommend for anyone who enjoys small-town charm, clever dialogue, and love stories that stay with you long after the final page.
I love all things Bella Greene and this does not disappoint; this is book two in The Sweet Sports Kisses Series. I am not a golf person, I liked how the author listed the terms, and meanings in the front of the book. Beth has just finished college with a degree in marketing, and is wondering what to do with it. Beth goes to her favorite coffee shop, and literally and physically runs into Matthew with coffee in hand. He ends up wearing the coffee and Beth slipping in it. Someone snaps a picture of Matthew catching her in his arms. The picture ends up online. Matthews agent tells him he needs more online presence, and needs to increase his public image to get more sponsors. His agent also wants him to ask Beth if she would be his fake girlfriend, while on his four month tour; and also to help him with his brand. They both sign a contract about this, along with rules. One of the rules is no feelings involved. Can they spend everyday together for four months, and not develop any feelings? Love the plot, great setting, and strong intense interesting characters. I look forward to reading more from Ms. Bella Greene!!!
A hilarious first meeting of the two main characters had me laughing so hard. Who knew a spilled cup of coffee and a collision could go viral.
Matthew is on his way to the top of the golfing world. But he needs a little help in the public's opinion of him. Beth is the perfect remedy to this problem as she is a recent marketing graduate, and a whiz at social media. The only catch in this case is that he also asked her to be his fake girlfriend. Love sells better than anything, and his agent thinks this is exactly the boost his career needs.
This short read was the perfect thing to read after reading more serious books. It provided a little lightness. The characters were very likable. I liked the fact that Matthew was more than just a pro golfer. He liked to give back and volunteer for events for kids. One of my favorite scenes was when Matthew had to meet Beth's parents. Her father was a hoot with his vicious stare down. That poor guy was shaking in his boots. If you need a light, sweet romance, you will enjoy this one.
Thank you to author for this ARC. I am leaving this review voluntarily.
So here's the deal. Beth lands her first PR gig after graduation- to be the brand manager for Matthew, an up and coming pro golfer. The catch, she has to be his fake girlfriend as well. As his public relations stunt. Not a bad deal, considering Matthew is good-looking, has integrity, is an up and coming golf star, and not at all a player in relationships. Despite the fact that they hardly know each other and their meet-cute is over spilled coffee. Beth lays out some ground rules to ensure their ruse will be smooth. Rule#1- No PDA beyond what is necessary Rule#2- No dating anyone else Rule#3-Each gets his/ her own room while on tour Rule#4-No falling in love or real feelings Easy peasy right? Well, Beth and Matthew spends the rest of their story pretending to pretend they're a couple. And everyone is indeed persuaded they're a real couple...such successful fakes, right? Enjoy this bite-size short and sweet sports romance- just the right word count and chemistry to provide a short reading escapade.
Great story really enjoyed reading it and recommend it to anyone who loves a sweet story with characters you can’t help but love. The H is a young golfer who wants to advance in the golf tournaments and is told by his manager that he has to relate more with his audience. To do so he hires a young public relations specialist who is eagerly starting her own business. She takes him on as her first client. But before doing so she sets limits, they are not to become involved with each other. Thus they start their relationship and are always together as the h starts putting forth a positive side of him on social media and to the press. She is very successful and he begins to have a strong following. His presence in the golf world grows. Unfortunately they break their own rules by falling in love with each other. In the end they confess their feelings for each other and find their HEA. The H also find success and is invited to more prestigious tournaments. Hope you enjoy reading this book as much as I did. Enjoy! Received this book free as a member of the author’s arc team.
Fake dating in a small town with three older gossipy ladies known as the Madame C’s can mean only one thing. You’ve stepped in to the lives of Matthew and Beth in 𝔽𝕆ℝ𝔼 - 𝔼𝕍𝔼ℝ 𝕐𝕠𝕦𝕣𝕤 by Bella Greene. This is book 2 of the Sweet Sports Kisses multi-author series.
Matthew is a golfer looking for sponsorship and Beth is a recent marketing graduate looking for the perfect job. When there worlds literally collide one photo sets the stage for the whole story. Oh how I just adored these two main characters.
I loved that this fake dating trope gave us all the things you’d expect and non of the unnecessary drama. It flowed so smoothly and was a quick read of 184 pages yet didn’t feel rushed. I enjoy when the fake dating turns into real feelings and the characters realize it’s love. It just makes me happy inside and gives me that warm fuzzy Hallmark movie vibe.
This is my first book by this author but it definitely won’t be my last.
Read if you enjoy: ⛳️Fake Dating ⛳️Small Town ⛳️Clean Romance ⛳️ Boss/Employee ⛳️Short Sweet Stories
Let me start by saying I hate golf, with a passion. However, I loved this book with equal passion, and if all golfers were like Matthew, then I might be converted.
Sadly, they remain perfect only in book form. Matthew actually is perfect, I think. He’s kind, sensitive, driven by his love of the game and not the fame and fortune that goes with it. He’s comfortable on the golf course but not at the fundraisers and interviews, and *shudder* social media. Enter Beth, the girl who spilt coffee over his sneakers and the star of his viral photograph, making the world believe she’s his girlfriend. She’s also a newly qualified marketing manager and looking for a big client to jumpstart her career.
A fake dating pact is exactly what they need, and they both embrace it. Beth increases his social presence to make sponsors sit up and take notice. In doing so, they grow closer; what do you know, they fall for each other. (I love fake dating so much, my favourite trope ever)
Beth and Matthew were the sweetest couple ever, I adored them both from the start and shipped them hard. They were both genuinely good people who deserved the best and they found it in each other.
Matthew, a pro golfer looking for some peace and quiet for a few days before the tournament season starts. When one photo from a coffee shop goes viral his agent thinks the PR will boost his career. Beth, just finished her degree in marketing, moved back to her hometown and is looking for a job in her field. When a spilled coffee puts her right in Matthew’s path. He makes her an offer she can’t refuse.
I really enjoyed the cute fake dating novella with a pro golfer. Actually this is the first pro golfer character I have read and it did not disappoint. A sweet novella that can be read in one sitting. The banter that Matthew and Beth have is funny. I really enjoyed the Madame C’s gossip and the nosiness of the small town. The chemistry was on Par and so sweet. #betthewforever
This is book two in the Sweet Sports Kisses multi author series. All stories are connected by the Play It Forward organization.
This novel is a heartwarming, fake dating romance that sparkles with charm, humour, and sincerity.
The plot, while rooted in a familiar trope, feels fresh thanks to Greene’s witty dialogue, well-paced progression, and engaging dual POV structure.
Beth is relatable, ambitious, and full of heart, while Matthew’s muted intensity and reluctant vulnerability make him a swoon worthy match.
Their banter is snappy, the romantic beats satisfying, and the community setting, complete with humorous Chai and Chatter gossip segments, adds depth and texture.
The writing style is crisp and accessible, with emotional moments that land well.
However, the first few chapters take longer to gain momentum, and the story occasionally leans too often on internal reflection over action.
Overall, Fore Ever Yours is an enjoyable read for fans of clean, small-town romance.
It’s sweet, sincere, and leaves you smiling by the last page.
This is a sweet, clean romance centered on golf and part of a sports themed series. A golf book was intriguing to me because it is often overlooked in the world of sports. But this? It was good! It was a bit on the saccharine sweet - too-sugary side for me but it was still a really fun story. From the first oopsie! moment at the coffee shop to the happily-ever-after, this story was filled with a lot of unexpected options, twists, and turns for the two main characters. With a fake-relationship, it is always awkward and difficult. And since this started out as a real photo to begin with, it is even harder. The actual lines between fake and real are blurry and getting harder and harder to define. What happens if the participants want those lines to disappear all together?
This is a fun read. It was a cute story set within the confines of a sport many are not very familiar with. It was a joy to read.
I received an ARC from the author. All opinions are my own.
When an accidental run-in activates the small-town gossip mill, Beth Mitchell and Matthew Wilkes only have one option - run with it. Beth is a recent marketing grad, and the perfect candidate to be pro golfer Matthew’s brand manager as he sets off on a new season of tournaments and events. As fake dating turns into real feelings, Beth and Matthew have a lot to navigate.
I loved this sweet novella. It was a quick read, but still had the emotion and depth I enjoy in a romance. Both Beth and Matthew have BIG dreams and it was great seeing how they worked toward those goals together. I love that it was a low-angst story. No 3rd act breakup, no one trying to tear them down or apart. Just a cute, sweet love story.
This fake dating, workplace romance is the 2nd book in the Sweet Sports Kisses multi-author series, with a pro golfer hero, small town vibes, and an adorable first kiss.
This is a clean - kisses only - contemporary rom-com involving the game of golf. It is Book 2 of the Sweet Sports Kisses series but is a stand-alone story.
Matthew and Beth meet in her hometown coffee shop when she spills coffee on Matthew's expensive white shoes. Then she trips and Matthew catches her before she hits the floor. Their picture is taken in the compromising position and it goes viral. Everyone assumes they are dating.
LSS, Beth needs a job and Matthew needs his brand ramped up in social media so they agree to "fake date". They draft rules to follow, one being "no real feelings". They both have trouble with that rule.
I recommend this fun, happy story. You don't have to know about golf to enjoy it. Also, the author has included a section at the front of the book called Golf 101. It briefly explains golf and the terminology you'll find in the book.
I was given an Advance Reader Copy but all thoughts and opinions are mine, given voluntarily.
I want to start by saying I received an ARC of this book. This is a sweet clean romance book and a book in the Sweet Sports Kisses series. The main characters are Matthew and Beth. They meet in her hometown when she accidentally runs into him and spills her coffee on him. A picture gets taken and word travels about them together. Matthew is looking to make his pro golfing career even better. Beth is looking for a job. Will she agree to fake date them so they both get what they want? Will they follow the rules they both agreed to? Will the both succeed and get what they want plus more? I loved this book. I loved Matthew and Beth together. The way he took care of her and treated her was amazing. The side characters were also amazing. I love that it was a shorter book so it didn’t take long to read. If you love a guy who golfs, a girl finding her way, and fake dating I think you will love this book.
Beth and Matthew are a match made in a coffee shop and show what good things can happen when you are willing to change your plans and take a chance. Beth has recently graduated and is trying to secure a job. Matthew is a professional golfer looking to take his game to the next level. After an accidental meeting, Matthew offers Beth and job and asks her to ‘fake date’ - we all know where that leads...
Neither of them planned to fall for each other, but fall they did. I really enjoyed the dual point of view part of the story. To me it added depth to the characters and had me smiling and excited for them to get together. They worked to communicate and were willing to put it all on the line to give a real relationship a chance.
I enjoyed this novella and the idea that its ok to change your mind or your plans as you learn more and have new experiences. Taking a chance might be the best thing you ever do.
