Exciting mystery running through many past civilizations
Helene Moncler, the head of the European Commission has been assassinated. But then the head of the European Commission has another secret identity - that of the Sisters of Berlaymont, protecting a dangerous secret.
After Helene's assassination, the story moves to Lydia del Biondo, the protagonist, who is a leading geneticist and very gifted in her line of work. After coming to know about the assassination of Helene, Lydia learns about the secrets that Helene had kept hidden, both by following the clues left behind by her parents, father specifically and Helene herself.
After finding the first clue and a mini pyramidion, she makes it to Egypt.
During this time, the Coronavirus pandemic had taken hold of the world and worse, Lydia is being chased by an Assassin and an ancient man called Phoenix.
The only help Lydia has is a very attractive man called Neo. But unfortunately, Neo has secrets of his own and he is dying of ALS.
Lydia has to race against time within 'two sunsets' not only to find the Grail, but also try to save Neo.
In an unconnected matter, simultaneously, the story briefly goes to Simon Lightgood and his connection to Helene.
The story also shifts to Salvatore in the Vatican, who has been tasked with finding Lydia because of a vision.
With Neo's help, Lydia is able to avoid the Assassin and Phoenix. She makes it to the Pyramid and gets the clue and from there she makes it to Greece.
After his family had been kidnapped, Mark Hopkins - man sent by Simon ends up having to assassinate Lydia.
The end in New York is appropriate as it mixes science fiction, a betrayal and a truth to Lydia and the readers.
Exciting story with a good mix from ancient cultures, especially about Atlantis, the Flower of Life, the ankh of the pharaohs and all this combined has the power to grant immortal life. The story explains how Helene and Lydia are connected to it.
The story moves at breakneck pace from one point to another, as Lydia has flashbacks from her past from her parents and her own knowledge about genes to help her navigate through each puzzle. Neo with his instructions helps the readers in translating the puzzles of the other languages and making it more enjoyable.
The mystery and the adventure was kept throughout the book making it an exciting read.
