This book is an intriguing read. Although author Sebastian Kentor believes the book to be written in the style of Dan Brown, it is not in that style. However, Kentor has his own style of mixing intrigue with politics, science, technology, history, archaeology and faith. The writing is magnificently thrilling and suspenseful with its mix of wonder and awe. I could not wait to read more each time I put the book down.

This was the first book by Sebastian Kentor that I read ! She is an excellent writer, and his joyful spirit and enthusiasm make the reader feel as if they are right there with her .I don't think I can say enough good things about this book. A most interesting and thoughtful book, well researched and well written.

Exciting mystery running through many past civilizations
Helene Moncler, the head of the European Commission has been assassinated. But then the head of the European Commission has another secret identity - that of the Sisters of Berlaymont, protecting a dangerous secret.
After Helene's assassination, the story moves to Lydia del Biondo, the protagonist, who is a leading geneticist and very gifted in her line of work. After coming to know about the assassination of Helene, Lydia learns about the secrets that Helene had kept hidden, both by following the clues left behind by her parents, father specifically and Helene herself.
After finding the first clue and a mini pyramidion, she makes it to Egypt.
During this time, the Coronavirus pandemic had taken hold of the world and worse, Lydia is being chased by an Assassin and an ancient man called Phoenix.
The only help Lydia has is a very attractive man called Neo. But unfortunately, Neo has secrets of his own and he is dying of ALS.
Lydia has to race against time within 'two sunsets' not only to find the Grail, but also try to save Neo.
In an unconnected matter, simultaneously, the story briefly goes to Simon Lightgood and his connection to Helene.
The story also shifts to Salvatore in the Vatican, who has been tasked with finding Lydia because of a vision.
With Neo's help, Lydia is able to avoid the Assassin and Phoenix. She makes it to the Pyramid and gets the clue and from there she makes it to Greece.
After his family had been kidnapped, Mark Hopkins - man sent by Simon ends up having to assassinate Lydia.
The end in New York is appropriate as it mixes science fiction, a betrayal and a truth to Lydia and the readers.
Exciting story with a good mix from ancient cultures, especially about Atlantis, the Flower of Life, the ankh of the pharaohs and all this combined has the power to grant immortal life. The story explains how Helene and Lydia are connected to it.
The story moves at breakneck pace from one point to another, as Lydia has flashbacks from her past from her parents and her own knowledge about genes to help her navigate through each puzzle. Neo with his instructions helps the readers in translating the puzzles of the other languages and making it more enjoyable.
The mystery and the adventure was kept throughout the book making it an exciting read.

I´ve never felt this catfished by a collection of 5-star reviews before.
Spoilers below:
1) None of the characters have any personality traits. After finishing the book, the only things I can tell you about Lydia is that she`s young, works in science, asks too many rhetorical questions, and is so attractive that everyone wants to sleep with her.
The last point we learn through scenes like these:
From a random flight attendant, Lydia gets her food from: "I also have to say that you look ravishing even when you just wake up (...) I have to confess something to you, ma´am. You look very much like the love of my life (...) I know I could lose my job, but I had to tell you".
And later during this highly uncomfortable exchange between Neo and Lydia: "The flight attendant was gorgeous. Are you sure you don`t want to visit her? If you change your mind, please leave the XGlass Active."
"You naughty boy. You would like to watch, wouldn´t you?".
2) All puzzles and riddles are introduced and solved on the same page. The main thing I love about entertainment such as Tomb Raider, National Treasure, Indiana Jones, The Mummy etc. is how the characters set out to solve the puzzles they come across through personal knowledge, extensive research, logic and a bit of luck. Lydia and her tech friend Neo manage to instantly figure out the clues they are presented with through a combination of Lydia`s childhood memories and Neo`s algorithms.
Need to translate an ancient stone with historical inscriptions?
Algorithm.
Need to trace a person based on a sequence that is built to be untraceable?
You guessed it, an algorithm.
As a result, the reader loses the excitement that should have been building up during the chapters and the characters run to the next clue in a matter of seconds with no real obstacles along the way.
Lydia has no reason for being able to accomplish everything she does. At one point she finds a historical artefact with a sequence that no one has been able to crack, not even a historical academic who dedicated his entire life to solving it. Star child Lydia and tech boy Neo, however, solves everything within a couple of chapters.
3) Setting the story during COVID did absolutely nothing for the plot, it only added to the word count. We do, however, get this stellar scene:
"I´ll tell them there is a bomb in the pyramid, and they´ll need to evacuate the tourists. Hopefully you´ll take advantage of the COVID-19 virus pandemic and manage to enter the King`s chamber undisturbed".
I feel like the bomb threat is doing more heavy lifting than the pandemic on that one, mate.
4)Is the author sponsored by Tesla? Why is the Pope sitting in the back of a black Tesla thinking about how soundless it is? I will say that the pope is my fav character and left me with some much needed comic relief through beautiful inner monologues such as these:
"Each year there was a staggering number of Christians losing their faith in God. Oh, Father, show me the light, to bring humanity to their one true God. I`ll use the new tool you have bestowed on us: Technology and access to information."
"Was the emergency justified? What is the carbon footprint of this helicopter ride? The Pope thought."
5) Who was in charge of training this supposedly professional, completely useless assassin? Stormtroopers?

This book was recommended to me by a friend. I have just finished reading the book ‘The Jesus Christ Cypher' by Sebastian Kentor. This book has meant a great deal to me. I will purchase the paperback version after I had read it on amazon kindle. The research and writing is refreshing. Their is never doubt the author has a deep faith. This is a wonderful book that everyone should read. I loved reading this book. Her style of writing is easy to understand and picture.
I can't recommend this book enough. And I can see myself rereading it every year during Lent. It's THAT good.

The book explosively starts in Egypt 2 days in the future with the main character trapped in a secret chamber within the Great Pyramid. This was one of the coolest prologues I ever read in my life. Then at the end of each chapter there is a clever design cliffhanger. The author takes you discretely from Vatican to Brussels and Brussels to New York slowly divulging pieces of the plot giving you a first flavor of what to come until you reach the present day where things are starting to accelerate pumping lots of action packed chapters.
The first 50 pages could have been an entire book as the information giving is so vast that it blows your mind revealing a scorching secret.
I missed Robert Langdon and Lara Craft....it takes so much time to produce any stories related to them that being a part of Lydia del Biondo's adventure made me read and play at the same time my favorite book and game. The author claims he followed Dan Brown's Masterclass, but now I am wondering as he reveled that this is his Pen Name...could it be that actually Dan Brown is hiding behind or his divorced wife Blight? Great book, whoever you are give us more to read Sebastian.

I was impressed by the author's narrative flow which comes so naturally and sometimes brutally putting you in the middle of the action. Poor Lydia is constantly under time-pressure since the beginning she is almost out of breath and there is no pause either for the reader.
I would advise you to start reading this book immediately after your breakfast in the morning, as I did. I had it on my kindle reader and after I ate, I started at 8.30 AM. The book was so good I forgot to eat ...had to force myself to go to the gentlemen... It was a perfect sunny day in Stockholm, I didn't even answer to the messages of my friends...and for this, I was a bit angry on the author :). Thankfully, my partner dumped me so...all free to read until 11.00 PM. I am sorry for my rambling, but I had to share my experience. The plot really captivates you is like watching all the Indiana Jones movies remastered in one go.
I loved the puzzles and the historic places. I also loved the easter egg, the author left in the QR code pictogram, very cleaver.
Overall, the ending was flawless and when I went to bed the words in the book were still echoing in my mind....

The Jesus Christ Cypher by the author Sebastian Kentor is a thriller with lots of suspense.
The protagonist of the story is Lydia Del Biondo. She was a renowned geneticist pioneering new paths in gene editing. Lydia was involved in solving an old mystery. She has to save humans from contagious Coronavirus.
The Coronavirus outbreak which is the biggest global concern these days made this book gripping for me.
The book is quite lengthy and the black and white images in the book gave me the feeling like I was reading a history book. I really appreciate all the research work done by the author in coming up with this book. I am looking forward for the next book from the author.

The story starts with the main character Lydia Del Biondo being trapped in a secret chamber in the Pyramids of Egypt. She was about to choke to death but she was also thinking that she couldn't die like this and there must be a way to get out of this place.
Along with the protagonist we explore many places in the story. One min we are in Egypt, another min we are in Vatican then Brussels and so on. All these places are real and not fictional. Being a traveller, I loved this roller coaster ride to different places.
The pace of the story is fast which hold my interest in it continuously. The historical figures and facts mentioned in the book enriched my knowledge. The narration was natural and flawless. There are some Latin words and sentences used in this book.
It's a must read by the ancient mystery lovers. I am definitely looking ahead for the next book in the series.

A shocking revelation! This book gave me an close to an epiphanic experience. The author presents so many facts with such a tremendous clarity, that you are immediately sucked in the plot and there is no escape, I ended binging this book in one go. The last time I have done that was I read the last Harry Potter book, HP and the Deathly Hallows II, and that was a long time ago.
I can't say more not divulge the plot but you should absolutely give this Marvell a chance to dazzle you.

The Jesus Christ Cypher by Sebastian Kentor' is a sci-fi genre novel. Set in a geopolitical and ideological war, the protagonist, Lydia del Biondo, a young world-renowned geneticist, is trapped in solving an ancient mystery against her will.
Her Journey of exploring some ancient and abundant artefacts need to be finished soon in a proper way to save the humans from deadly coronavirus.

The book is well researched, fast-paced and full of action and adventure. When I received the copy of this book, the author claimed to have his book a feel of Dan Brown's novel, and his book stood true to what he said.
The best part is all the places mentioned in this novel are explored by the author himself, and that shows how much hard work he has put in this novel.

This is an awesome book. It was recommended to me by someone else and I just love it. I read this during my free times and I"m glad I chose that time to enjoy this book, it made it all the more meaningful. This is a terrific book - so good that after I read it on my Kindle, I decided to buy the hard cover. I just finished the book and now re-reading a few chapters. so that I could easily refer to it. I think it would be a better read for anyone. A must have for any Catholic, Christian, or anyone who wants to learn more about Jesus.

This was a truly epic adventure. I liked the writing style of the author as it flows smoothly like in a movie, not to mention the song list he prepared to accompany the book...simply great. You can understand that the author dedicated a lot of time for the research and attention to details. All the pictures are real as well as the places, I ended up googling the historical parts and spent days exploring virtually the places described. When is the next book?

A Whirlwind of a book!
If you’re seeking thrill and excitement, check this out. Whatever your imagination can fathom, this book has it. Intrigue, conspiracies, global catastrophes, they’re all there and more. It kept me glued to the words throughout. Culminating in a totally unexpected reveal and finale, my heart was racing even after I finished it. Highly recommended.

It kept me glued to the words throughout. Culminating in a totally unexpected reveal and finale, my heart was racing even after I finished it. Highly recommended.

Amazing book. I could not let it go. For the Prologue I was simply mesmerized. We need more such strong inspiring characters. Such a fresh style, a dynamic which I could only spot in the cinema when I watched TENET...after 6 months of being absent. I was also pleasantly surprised by the playlist the author put together. This were the best 7$ I spent this year.

The author seems to believe that the disciples or as he calls them, the Apostles, wrote the Gospels. That is not true. I don’t want to explain here, it would take too long, but that dims the story for me.

Wow
So, apart from the title which honestly I think it's not quite appealing, everything else is stunning. The characters, the history ,the research, the places...a full rollercoaster of emotions. A good thriller book, a good adventure book, a fantastic ending. At the end of was like the author thought..hmm one twist plot isn't enough, here take another one and be mesmerized.
Well done, can't wait for the next book!

Wow! This is an overwhelming scientific fact, Biblical mystery combined with a race against time to save the human race. Lydia a geneticist del Biondo finds herself thrust into a political and philosophical war – taking us about the World in a chase of invisible adversaies! I leaned so much reading this book that I really that it was truly educational and quite enjoyable as scary because there’s a lot of truth in it that will affect all of mankind!

An epic, visceral adventure, I couldn't let it go.
I was desperately trying to find a Dan Brown thriller wannabe, as I miss his perfect blending of science and adventure, everything is real. You are literally sucked into the action as in a 4D cinematographic experience without any 80 pages description of a room (where only hardcore R.R Martin's or Stephen King's can cope with). So while typing on the Amazon search Dan Brown, Sebastian's book came up, and boy I am glad it did. His writing is fresh and direct, I ended up researching more on the internet, and using GoogleMaps to check the depicted places...and to my surprise everything was there, every fact, every location...what was missing was a good Hans Zimmer tune to complete the cinematic journey. Why just one book?!....I want the next one asap. Chop chop .. please do hurry up...

Well researched, fast-paced and full of action and adventure. I was really impressed by the author's capacity to create such exciting cliffhangers and to narrate an amazing plot. This was even more exciting than Origin the last book of Dan Brown.
I loved the main character as she struggles to find a cure to save humanity, while people around me were fighting COVID-19, after finishing it I shared it with them, and it brought a glimmer of hope, thank you so much Sebastian Kentor and please write more.

A thrilling, fast-paced story of a woman who must solve puzzles which take her across the world in order to save humanity during the Covid-19 outbreak. She faces dangers around every corner, narrowly escaping impossible situations with the help of a tech-savvy mysterious love-interest.
The author creatively intwines the mythological Atlantian, Ancient Egyptian and Christian tales together in an outstanding connection.
I look forward to following Lydia in her future adventures and to see what new intricate puzzles and mysteries this author comes up with next.

Set in current times of the Covid 19 pandemic and a backdrop of religious mysticism, the author has weaved a masterpiece skilfully amalgamating the advanced science of an ancient civilisation and current modern technology. The story is gripping throughout and the element of intrigue leaves the reader turning pages till he is through the book.

Simply epic. I rarely read a second time time a book. This time I was impressed also by the cinematic experience of the playlist the author prepared. I loved this book so much, that I started to listen to the audiobook, and the narrator is even better. A true literary jewel, I am sure someone will make a movie or a series out of it.

I found this book next to the Dan Brown's Lost Symbol in the religious-thriller shelf. I didn't have any expectations as Dan's skills cannot be matched. I was not disappointed as this thriller brings new fresh theories of things that were just in front of your eyes, cleverly connecting the dots and keeping you in adrenaline filled roller-coaster. Maybe it was a bit too short at 480 pages but I saw that the author left a final cliffhangers announcing a sequel at the end of the book.

It's a well-researched book and definitely a page turner. The characters have been well developed. I don't read sci-fi much, but this book had turned the table, I'm looking forward to reading more in this genre.
