Abel Gunner is a rock-star with legendary skills both in and out of the bedroom. He swore he wouldn't fall for another woman after being schemed and manipulated by an ex-lover. He kept that vow until he met Gia Mastro. The Dom inside of him awoke the moment he set eyes upon the submissive beauty. His dark soul hungered for her submission and affection. The deep connection they share leaves him desperate for something he never expected – her love. Her pain brings him the pleasure he craves. Her smile calms the beast that rages within him. Gia loves Abel more than life itself, but Abel is disillusioned by love and wrecks Gia in the process. Her life hangs in the balance. His life depends on forgiving her. This couple must face many truths. Is love enough to overcome the damage that dwells within? Gia’s experiences with love have been nil until meeting the infamous bad-boy rocker, Abel Gunner. Swept up in a mind-bending, Dom/submissive love affair, she’s forced to make decisions that both help and hurt their relationship. They both have to face their demons before they can embrace a future together. In the end, they’re faced with two choices: Fight for their love, or die with their demons.

Praise to the alpha king~extreme, I don't know if they get any dirtier and hotter than Abel Gunner! I wouldn't care if I didn't even like the story because he is worth it. Maybe there isn't much and I just haven't noticed!
Yep. That's me, baby. A demented, fucking pervert.
This read is loaded with dirty/raunchy sex (hell yeah!), if you don't want to hear about it often, I'd say this isn't for you! Some may think he's too controlling, possessive, and jealous... he is but in a delicious way and he remains that way all through this one as well and God, I hope he doesn't change. That's what a true alpha is to me plus he's a Dom, a perfect one! He's very loving, caring, and affectionate as well.
We pick up from a cliffy I saw coming, I just wasn't exactly sure how it would happen or what the result would be. I was happy this took right off at the beginning because I didn't want "it" to be extended for a long amount of time. Medusa and the evil witch are still around playing their part and the band members are trying to figure out who the traitor is among them, a lot of finger pointing and speculation. I can easily say this was my reaction, not only to Medusa but evil bitch herself, Morgana...
I really like Gia. I didn't at the beginning because of her initial plan but I learned exactly why she was like that and I felt the pain, she had experienced all her life, just the verbal abuse was beyond comprehension. Abel made her feel worth something and she just keeps continuing to grow. I adore what they have together, especially that Abel is now over the moon in love and feels worthy for once. Those two balance each other, their Dom/Sub relationship is pure freakin' on fire. Let's not forget his dragon decorated with that Jacob's ladder and the Apadravya... Lord help me!
I realized he was caring for me the only way he knew how. Though, foreign to me, he needed it. I needed him. It was us giving to each other.
Towards the end... during an announcement that Abel is making to his adorning fans, the unthinkable happens. I didn't see that coming. I'm going to say, I was ok with this cliffy and I can't wait to see what happens next as I move on to the conclusion of their story.
Gina you did an amazing job! I absolutely LOVED this book!
Forgiving Gia picks up right after Saving Abel. What happens in the first few chapters I didn't see coming at all ( not saying whether it's bad or good...evil I know). There are so many twist in Forgiving Gia that just when you think you have it figured out
YOU'RE wrong!!! I had this happen to me from the 50% point until the very last page. So if you want suspense, drama, HOT musicians, hot smut, a Dom alpha male then what are you waiting for. Pick up Saving Abel now because Forgiving Gia comes out Oct 20th!
****** THIS WARNING SURPASSES ALL WARNINGS I GAVE TO YOU IN SAVING ABEL. THIS IS THE MOTHER OF ALL WARNINGS***** SUPPLIES ARE NEEDED
THIS BOOK IS EXCEPTIONAL BRILLIANCE.
If it's possible this book is better than Saving Abel. ANYTHING I thought this book was going to be about couldn't of been FURTHER than what it was about. The Lockable room you needed for Saving Abel, you need for Forgiving Gia. Plus extra LOCKS. The WHAt? WTF? at the end of Saving Abel , was turned into WTFH, SERIOUSLY, OMG.
Again I am not telling you ANYTHING. I will say I WANT AN ABEL GUNNER FOR MYSELF. ABEL Gunner is THE EPITOME of every HOT, ALPHA, DOM, BOOK BOYFRIEND you have ever read, then some. And you will be surprised in places as well.
This book is AMAZING, STUNNING, EXCEPTIONALLY BRILLIANT, FLAWLESS, FANTASTIC, EMOTIONAL. This book will be with you long after you have read it. It will leave you emotionally and mentally drained, in the best possible way. This is the book you give a big sigh at the end after not realising you have been holding your breath. I again read this in one go.
This book is everything little thing you ever wanted for Christmas and never got, you get and more in this book.
Gina, what can I say except........WOW, WOW, WOW
This book get 5/5 stars and 5/5 for movie moments.
In the simplest terms, these are the words that both describe and illustrate the complexity of Gina Whitney’s main characters, Abel Gunner and Gia Mastro, in her marvelously written Rocker series. But as well as these expressions define who Abel and Gia are, they aren’t nearly enough…because these two defy definition as well – together, they are forces to be reckoned with, and apart, they are chaos incarnate, shadows of themselves. They are two parts of a whole that can only be saved by each other, sustaining one another from a past that constantly threatens to pull them under and a future that isn’t quite paved yet.
At the end of Saving Abel, Abel and Gia’s relationship is blown apart by Abel’s conniving bitch of an ex, Morgana, and Abel, without waiting to listen to an explanation from Gia, jets off for his band’s tour, leaving Gia to pick up the pieces of her broken heart – something that she isn’t capable of, which sends her spiraling into a dark tunnel of self loathing and disgust. Her reaction to Abel’s rejection is heartbreaking, and Gina Whitney brings Gia’s anguish and desperation out through her carefully chosen words and depiction of a tortured woman succumbing to her demons and the voices that have always told her that she’s not enough to make anyone stay. Thankfully, Gia has a fantastic support system who reaches out to ensure her recovery and sets in motion her reunion with her Dom, her Alpha, her everything. Gia and Abel are a burning flame that can only be extinguished by one another, and while they’re hot tempered, off kilter, and even fucked up at times, they don’t work apart – Gia feeds Abel’s beast and the control that Abel takes from Gia allows her to clear her mind and feel loved and free – something that she desperately needs.
Gia and Abel both have demons…truths that they’re afraid to lay bare, but that’s exactly what will allow their relationship to endure, and when Gia fully gives herself to Abel after they almost lost each other due to Morgana and Medusa’s meddling, Gia and Abel’s connection only grows stronger. In Forgiving Gia, Gina Whitney allows readers to see a different side of Abel as Gia sheds her past at his feet. As much as he is a controlling, arrogant caveman as Abel the Dom, as Abel the man, he’s compassionate, tender, and caring, giving Gia what she needs to move forward and embrace her feelings instead of running from them. We see a more dynamic version of Abel in book two, which only endears us more to him and what he wants for his and Gia’s future.
The amount of feels this story gave me speaks to the quality of the characters and the storyline. I laughed…I cried…my heart broke…my heart soared. I went through a menagerie of emotions with all of the ups and downs Gia and Abel faced, questioning whether they were going to make it through all of the revelations and underhandedness that occur throughout the text. But that’s exactly what makes Gia and Abel’s story so addictive. It keeps readers guessing until the very end about the fallout of every action, and while that can be nerve wracking, it’s also intriguing, forcing us to read on to see how it all plays out, and at the end of Forgiving Gia, there’s still so much more story to tell in order for Abel and his Beauty to get the ending they deserve, and I, for one, can’t wait to find out what Gina Whitney has up her sleeve for Book 3.
A complimentary copy was provided in exchange for an honest review.
So I was lucky enough to review the first book in this series, Saving Abel. And to be chosen to review the second book was great!
Abel is this alpha male. He is a little twisted and a lot DOM! He is lost without his Beauty. Secrets torn them apart and left them both broken. But in Forgiving Gia, it isn't so much about forgiving Gia as it is both of them forgiving and accepting each other. One can not breathe without the other. There is only darkness while they are away from each other.
Gia has had her life thrown upside down when Abel walked away from her without looking back. She went to that dark place. There was no light, no feeling, she was empty. She was his Sub and he left her. Gia was brought up to believe that no one would ever want or love her. So when Abel walked out of her life she had no reason to be. She wanted to die and she almost did. Sometimes help comes from those that we wouldn't have thought cared.
I love this story. There isn't one thing I would change about it and that doesn't happen often when I read a book for review. The way that Gina writes is hardcore at times. But the work that goes into her writing doesn't go unseen. You can feel what the characters go through. I felt Gia's pain when Abel left her on the airstrip. You can feel the emptiness they both felt when they are apart. You can get a feel for both of their insecurities. That is what I love most about this book it makes you FEEL. Gia and Abel's love is real and raw.
I would recommend this book to anyone and everyone. I personally can't wait o read the final book in Gia and Abel's story. It is a love story even if there is some BDSM!!
Gina does it again!! Review to come with my tour date of 10/29...
**FULL REVIEW**
“From a mere touch, I knew it wasn’t him. My body knew. My heart knew. A familiar scent reached my nose, but I couldn’t place it. The body holding me was warm, comforting, supportive, and cooing sentiments. My heart prayed he’d come back for me…begging me not to end my life as he named all the reasons he needed me. However, it wasn’t him. That was why I wanted to stay there in the depth of hell, never to return to my old life again. I wanted to be left for dead.”
Gia just can’t come back from the devastation of Abel’s rejection, her soul crushed and will to live dwindling by the day…never has she let a man control so much of her. When she met Abel, she wasn’t looking for love, but somehow her soul mate found her and love just kind of happened. Problem is, her past came back to bite her in the bum…and her wicked mother was determined to keep her as a “cash cow” in order to maintain a lifestyle she had grown accustomed to living.
“I was taking a big risk. Risking everything, as well as my mental health. Could I afford to be dropped on my head again and left for dead? No, I couldn’t. But…there was a big fat but there…it was Abel. I couldn’t deny him anything—ever. Was I risking my own sanity, though? Yeah I was. Was he worth every last ounce of me? A resounding f*** yeah.”
With the help of her friends, and an unlikely source…Abel’s father, Gia makes her way back to the one man who completes and shreds every part of her.
“It was time to screw my head on straight and get my man. There was no time for intensiveness. No time for self-reflection. I needed to own who I was. Finally gain my independence from the witch who birthed me. It was the time for the mighty Gia to show her face. Shake the dirt off of me and be the woman I was meant to be—his woman.”
But will Abel be open to giving Gia another chance? Can he bear the brunt of all being in a real relationship entails? And can he trust that Gia won’t lie to him again? If he wants the other half of his heart…the answer is always yes.
“All I can say is…I really miss the way her innocence tastes. If that make any sense. I opened my eyes and my heart to her. She made my life beautiful—fulfilled. She’s everything I want. And everything I’m not.”
He only has to listen…
“In life, there are many interpretation of why we do what we do. When you care deeply for someone, the least you could do is listen. Listening would’ve cost me nothing but time—time I wish I could go back and give. Reacting the way I did cost me dearly and nearly cost my beauty her life—a lie I couldn’t live without.”
This second installment of Gina Whitney’s Trilogy is truly one about trust and the whole “give & take” in a relationship. The crazy that swirled around Gia and Abel was just an added bonus but not truly what the root of the story is about…at least not for me. The building blocks of any relationship start with attraction, build on knowledge and trust for the other person, and finally love that grows from all the other components falling into place…or out of place in order to put them back together again, as the case may be for Abel and Gia.
I loved this book, Abel is a dirty talking Alpha-Dom and Gia is his perfect submissive. Her innocence and pure heart, despite her shady upbringing makes them 100% made for each other. I cannot wait to see how the story between them ends…
Nope she isn’t going to end everything like that right?
SHIT FIRE maybe, no but wait, what? OMG poor Abel
OMG poor Gia!
Oh and then, than there were many moments when Morgana was being the spiteful bitch that she is I was all……
Forgiving Gia was sinfully sexy and disturbing at times. There were sweet moments, OMG moments, sexy moments, WTF moments and everything in between. My heart was racing from start to finish. Abel, well hello ladies, Abel is sexy sexy sexy and messed up – holy moly he was messed up, however, he owned that shit. Oh and let’s talk about that bitch of a mother that Gia had – if murder was legal I would take her out so fast she would shit all those pills she popped. She made my blood boil – self-righteous son of a mother……WHORE!
Well you get the idea right?
AND Abel’s dad – yep I didn’t care for him too much in Saving Abel but he sort of kind of maybe redeemed himself in Forgiving Gia, you could really see the loving concerned father come out of him and he made my heart go boom boom!
Oh there is another twist to this story – Morgana devil bitch (that’s putting it nicely) well she is EVERYWHERE Abel is, how is that possible? Is there a mole? Is there not a mole? Holy crap my head was spinning thinking who can it be, who is telling her things? Is it him? Is it her? Nope couldn’t be him, right? Or could it? Thoughts kept swirling and swirling thinking oh Abel is going to murder someone because that bitch is messing with his Beauty. And then it was like boom!
SHIT IT THE FAN and things turned crazy! Made me feel like….
I couldn’t tell how it was going to end! I knew what I wanted to happen and I just prayed that Gina felt the same way!
Let’s recap shall we…
Sexy messed up rocker bad boy = check Sweet and naughty heroine = check WTF moments around almost every corner = check OMG sex moments that make your toes curl = DOUBLE check Sweet and sincere, makes your heart warm and mushy moments = check
Great series Gina! Can’t wait to find out what happens next for this crazy in love couple!
Gina Whitney continues Abel Gunner and Gia Mastro's story from Saving Abel in Forgiving Gia. I have to admit that I was fairly ambiguous about Saving Abel -- especially for most of the story. I just thought Abel and Gia were over the top with their reactions and responses to one another. I just didn't like them together. However, as the story evolved, I began to understand who they both were as we gleaned glimpses into their backgrounds. By the end of Abel, I was left speechless. Gia's past was a wreck and her mother, Medusa was loathable.
When Forgiving Gia opens, Gia has made a drastic decision -- she tries to end her life. She sees no future or life for herself since she has lost Abel after he discovers Gia's past. Gia is distraught and lost. But fate intervenes in the form of Abel's father and his friend Chance. Gia's life is turned on its ear as they hatch a plan to get Gia and Abel back together. And it this plan has to go into effect immediately because Abel is self-destructing and badly. Once Abel and Gia get back together, their relationship seems to change and this is where my feelings changed toward them. Abel and Gia are very sweet and endearing in this story. Abel lays his heart on the line and Gia turns her hurt and her past over to him. I really enjoyed seeing the evolution of their relationship and their love. But sadly, fate throws a lot of obstacles in their path. Addiction, jealousy, and attempted murder threaten to treat them apart. It was endearing to see how they worked through those challenges together.
The only small thing I did not "like" was the happy for now ending. I know...I know...I'm spoiled but I love my happily ever-afters. I desperately wanted that for Abel and Gia in Forgiving Gia but I'm so happy with how the story ended for them and can't wait to see what else Whitney has in store for them...something tells me we haven't seen the last of Medusa and Morganna -- hussies! LOL
“Chains of steel will rust with time. Chains of the heart will only grow stronger,”
OOOHHHH Lawd…I am absolutely loving this series!!! Sooo freaking good!!
Forgiving Gia is the 2nd book in this series, Saving Abel being the first. And I can not wait to get my hands on the 3rd book!!! (which I read that Gina is hoping to release by the end of the year…EXCITED!!!) This book starts off where Abel leaves Gia on the airplane tarmac and this is where my heart continues to break for both.
Goodness! This book can tug at all the feelings you have, heartbreak, love, passion, and people trying to pull them apart. You just want to smack them across the head to make them straighten up.
I just love this couple tho, Abel is such an Alpha male…umm correction, he is a Hot Rocker Alpha Male. And he is soo much fun!!!!
Abel Gunner is a rock-star with legendary skills both in and out of the bedroom. He swore he wouldn’t fall for another woman after being schemed and manipulated by an ex-lover. He kept that vow until he met Gia Mastro. The Dom inside of him awoke the moment he set eyes upon the submissive beauty. His dark soul hungered for her submission and affection.
Gia does the whole submissive thing pretty well for her Dom…ummm. Pretty Well.
Gia’s experiences with love have been nil until meeting the infamous bad-boy rocker, Abel Gunner. Swept up in a mind-bending, Dom/submissive love affair, she’s forced to make decisions that both help and hurt their relationship
This book would have me laughing out loud at their banter and I Loved..loved loved Gia’s BFF Cindy and Abel’s P.A. Chance. Everybody needs a BFF like Cindy and a P.A. like Chance!! Chance is just like one of the girls and he is an awesome care taker/personal fashion assistant to Gia..he is a mess. I just love him, he should probably get his own book.
They both have to face their demons before they can embrace a future together. In the end, they’re faced with two choices: Fight for their love, or die with their demons
Sooo what are you waiting for?? Pick this series up. You will not be disappointed!!! I gave this book 5 Smooches!!! Trish :)
“Sometimes life closes doors, because it’s time to move forward. That’s a good thing, we often forget we won’t move forward unless circumstances force us too.”
I absolutely love the story between Gia and Abel. They are great together just enough of that tension between a couple who love each other so much that you can't seem to look away **coughs or close the book! They are ying and yang. Abel truly loves her and she truly loves him and this book gives you all the of the drama and suspense of their relationship that is Abel Gunner. I have learned some new things in this book about the Gunner family, things that make you say hmmm. I also was very annoyed by a certain someone (no not mentioning names here you will have to read it). Morgana of course she rears her ugly head here! ugh can't stand her! She really goes all out crazy here! And Cindy what is up with her and Woody? I hope we get to learn more about their relationship. Gia, she hasn't had an easy life at all. I really felt sorry for her and all the things that happened to her.
Oh and then we have Mr. Gunner Abel’s father...umm yeah he should be another spin off too. We need Cindy and Woody, Mr. Gunner, Ender and ……...hmm that’s all oh... wait Chance!!! yup!! I hope we learn more about these guys.
“In the end, isn’t that what we all craved? To feel needed and wanted?”
I highly recommend Forgiving Gia not only for it’s obvious reasons (if you read Saving Abel). I also feel this story is about more than forgiving just Gia, maybe it’s about forgiving yourself and forgiving family. We all are not perfect and maybe we need to humble ourselves and realize that. Forgiveness doesn’t mean you're saying what was done is ok it means that you are ready to let go of that hurt and that pain. I think I just had a personal moment. Anyway please pick up your book today you will love this journey!!
Lol yes, you are seeing that right... I enhaled this book. But what can I say?? Gina just hits the spot.. Of course super HAWT Dom Abel and sexy smart mouthed Gia might have had a lot to do with it... Now, my take on this book. Holy turmoil in a kindle covered with every other freaking emotion I posses! Starts out with an ugly cry and ends in a good cry. This book filled in so much of my curiosity of Gia and Abel. Not just them, but other characters as well. Yes, I still hate Morgana. However, I have a newfound respect for Abel's parents. I even came to love Chance a lot more. Even despite the awful situation he was forced into. I found myself flowing with the words in this book and just could NOT put it down. It was soul hugging, emotion wrenching and just all around a grand book. I loved the background I finally got into Gia's past and it has actually put Saving Abel into a whole new perspective as well as made this book on my top 5 favorite reads of the year. While we do have to wait for book 3, I'm fairly confident that all readers will be left with a sense of zen after they finish this book. You'll fall in love all over again with the sexy Abel and want to hug and cherish Gia more. I loved the interaction with all the secondary characters and truly hope they all get their own books. So hats off to Gina Whitney for what will likely become of the most talked about books/ series for a long time to come. Sorry Christian, there's a new Dom in town and he's kicking ass and taking names later!
Let me start out by saying that Gina Whitney can't write books quickly enough for me! I LOVE Forgiving Gia and will never get enough of Abel!
Abel Gunner is a famous rock star with darkness in his soul. He's not a big fan of relationships thanks to an ex-lover and has vowed to never get in another one until he meets Gia Mastro. Gia is a beautiful girl filled with pain from her past, however something about her calms the beast inside of Abel. She loves Abel so much that he was able to wreck her completely and her life hangs in the balance.
Gina Whitney left us with a HUGE cliffhanger in Saving Abel but just picked up where we left off in Forgiving Gia very smoothly. She didn't make us wait until the end of the book to get the question answered. Gina also showed us what made Abel and Gia the way they were in more depth. She has a way of writing that the emotions of Abel and Gia flew out of the book. I found that I had tears in my eyes several times while reading this book. I don't want to forget to throw in the HOTNESS factor, and HOT it was!!! I'm not going to lie, I NEED more Abel!!!!!! If you haven't read Saving Abel, you need to pick it up before reading Forgiving Gia, because trust me when I say, you will LOVE Abel and need more of him as well
Disclaimer: It doesn't bother me nor would it have stopped me from reading, but there are some f bombs. It is part of the characters' personalities, but if you are easily offended just beware.
Gina Whitney has done it again! In her follow-up to Saving Abel it picks up right where it left off. They are both in their own special kinds Hell separately and she takes you on a ride. You get pulled into and up onto the wild ride that is Abel & Gia's Dom/Sub relationship. They each have their own issues they need to work through like trust, addiction, mental, a "Medusa", a "psycho cancer" ex, and a possible mole within the Lethal Abel crew. They struggle to wade through the crap that is life and come out on the other side stronger for it.
There are some hot hot hot scenes that leave you trying to hang on to just the edge of your seat for the ride and wow what a ride they are if you manage! All in all a good follow up to Saving Abel. Looking forward to the next one.
After Saving Abel I couldn't wait to start in on this just to find out what happens to Gia after Abel walks out on her & doesn't even give her a chance to explain. I did like how Abel's dad came into this book more. He did have some redeeming qualities that you didn't realize was there in the beginning. The mom I still wonder about though. That was just a weird situation.
I love the way that Abel looked after Gia in all ways. He knew about her childhood & did not hold that against her in the way that she feared he would. Abel's dad really stepped up for Gia too when it came to her mother.
I don't want to give too much away but the little surprise that awaits Abel & Gia is a storyline I cannot wait to see how it unfolds. I can only hope that Ms. Whitney is writing this third book in the series on Abel & Gia and then will follow it up with a book on Woody, Ender, and Jake as well.
Abel has left to go on tour broken feeling betrayed and Gia has gone to a very dark place when he left her. Gia is a sub without her Dom and is completely empty. He just confirmed for her what she has always known - that she isn't worthy of anyone staying. She wants to die and almost succeeds in taking her own life. Someone she never would have expected comes to her with a plan to make everything right.
What I loved about this book is that is one about two people who have to learn to forgive each other and let go of their pasts. Abel and Gia's relationship grows in this part of their story. They are so sweet with each other as they open their hearts completely and fall further in love. I also love the people around them. I am dying to hear more about Cindy and Woody. And I loved Abel's daddy. I can't wait to read more about all of them.
First and foremost I have to say I absolutely love Gina Whitney, she is an amazing author. Her writing is epic. I loved Forgiving Gia, we saw a different side of both Abel and Gia that still didnt take away from them being bad ass or too whipped. The suspense drove me crazy but the drama that unfolded kept me wanting more. What happens to Gia in the book I so did not see coming, it was very unpredictable which I loved. The characters from this series are amazing and you cant help but fall for them. I seriously cant wait to see whats in store in the next installment. I still have to say Ender is my favorite character out of them all, def love seeing more of him.
*****I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review******
This book had me at page 1 till the very end and a ending I wish I had more. I love Able and Gia, this story is H.O.T, S.E.X.Y, P.A.I.N.F.U.L, V.I.O.l.E.N.T. Don't let the shadows of your past darken the doorstep of your future.
Reading Forgiving Gia sent me through a roller coaster of emotions. All within the first quarter of the book!!! So far with this series I have really connected with the characters. I can't wait to see where things go from here. Gina Whitney has set the bar high with this series!
**WARNING: If you have not read Saving Abel, please DO NOT read this review!**
Every now and then a book comes along that just steals your breath away. I got two this year, Saving Abel and Forgiving Gia. It's the culmination of the story, the music, the drugs, sex and rock n roll ... it's orgasmic and electric. Gina Whitney makes me feel alive! YES! This is what Erotica should be! Gina Whitney has done it again with another story worthy of gluing me to my Kindle! The trouble with being glued and reading furiously is I'm in dire need of a re-read now to take my time and savor every nuance and dark moment between Abel and Gia. Yes, the title is Forgiving Gia but this story is about finding light in the darkest tunnel, owning your truth and growing, both as individuals and as a couple.
Where Saving Abel left off Gia Mastro was on her knees, literally, at the tarmac where Abel Gunner left her to deal with the fact that she had lied to him. She sucked him into her web of lies with her Mother, Medusa as she calls her and aptly so! But what Abel didn't let Gia do that night was to explain her side of the story ... no ... instead he took the word of a crazed madwoman hell bent on destroying any happiness Abel can find that doesn't involve her. Morgana is a total piece of trash waste of space and everyone knows it but unfortunately with a vendetta comes collateral damage ... the damage being in the form of a disheveled shell of a man and a woman who couldn't see her way to the end of the dark tunnel of life without her Sir and decided to try to end her life.
Now I need to take a moment and talk about my favorite character in Forgiving Gia. Dear ol' Dad! That's right ladies and gents ... Mr. Gunner to the rescue! Mr. Gunner shows up and you learn so much about his character and why he's hard on his son. But damn if he doesn't have an amazing caring and compassionate side to him as well. Love the interaction between him and Medusa and can't wait to see more of him in the future!
Music is once again forefront to their story. If Dark Horse wasn't the perfect rock anthem for this story I wouldn't know what else to choose. Gina is a master at placing song lyrics in sneaky places and I love those "ah ha ... I see what she's doing here" moments when I realize what song they are from. "All I can say is ... I really miss the way her innocence tastes. If that makes any sense. I opened my eyes and my heart to her. She made my life beautiful - fulfilled. She's everything I want. And everything I'm not." Genius!
Forgiving Gia is really about two people on a path to self discovery. Gia has to figure out how to trust Abel and his lifestyle outside their front door, more than she does as her Sir in the bedroom. She can handle the Dom in the bedroom, the dragon that aches to consume her any second he chooses. She can handle the caveman at play but she's still dealing with the jealousy and the demons deeply instilled in her by dear ol' Medusa.
The inverse is Abel has to teach Gia to trust me, show her he's worthy of it inside and outside their residence. He'll have to become the person he knows deep down she deserves ... someone that is capable of being both the Dom and the lover she needs. And oh how he'll try. Some of the most tender amazing moments happen in and out of the bedroom for these two in Forgiving Gia. You're panties will melt off or spontaneously combust while reading the scenes this go round and the next minute Abel will have you in a swooning puddle but not in a he's just handed his balls to this submissive kind of way like some BDSM books. No this bad boy Alpha rock god will not be handing anything over, he's got a firm hand and a steady grip on his Beauty, he'll kill anyone that gets in their way but he'll also shower her with all the romance and love he can find inside himself, like the cultured man he was born to be.
Gina's gonna take you on one of the wildest rides of your life my friends, are you ready to take the plunge and find out what happens after you jump down the rabbits hole? Come read along with me or in my case re-read because you're going to want to do that and so much more when you get a hold of these two again. Incredible story + hot as hell sex + brooding Alpha + bratty mouthed submissive = one wild freaking ride and one smokin' hot series you are sure to never want to put down. Don't worry there's a book three and I can't wait to get my hands on it.
Saving Abel took me off guard. I had expected it to be a good book, but I never in a million years expected it to crawl under my skin the way it did. It stayed with me for days. By book’s end Abel and Gia were living, breathing people that I very much wished to know in real life. The sheer authenticity built into their characters was riveting and refreshing and I loved the honesty Gina Whitney laced through the entire book. That transparency served to bring the whole story into the real world, inject it with huge amounts of tangibility that enabled me to not only relate to the characters, but feel what they were feeling as they were feeling it.
When I opened Forgiving Gia, I expected more of the same. But I never expected it to be multiplied across so many levels to the point where I was breathless, sobbing and laughing out loud. And I was, all of those things. Whitney strips these characters down to the studs and then builds them back up, never once disguising any of the pain, discomfort or awkwardness of the process. We get to walk hand in hand with Abel and Gia as they continually find their way to each other and not only embrace what they find, but integrate it as their own.
This book picks up where Saving Abel left off. Gia and Abel both are trying to process the aftereffects of her lies and his reaction to the truth and neither of them is dealing well. We don’t have to wait long for them to get back together, however, thank goodness. While they are both intriguing characters on their own, they’re so much better together. The threat of Morgana and Gia’s mother still holds heavy in the air around Abel and Gia, but they continue to love and live in spite of that threat.
Whitney has once again infused this part of Abel and Gia’s story with an incredibly huge, thumping heart. Her writing is such that you have no choice but to feel everything so keenly right along with the characters. Every time Gia cried, I cried with her. Every time Abel raged, I raged right along with him. And every time they came together in the incredible sex scenes, well let’s just say I wanted to be right them then as well.
Saving Abel had a fair amount of objectivity in it; necessary because the reader had to have the time and ability to get to know the characters. That distance is gone in Forgiving Gia. You are walking right next to these characters (all of them, not just the main characters) as they move down the next piece of their journey. They are huge and vivid and so utterly emotional that you get sucked in immediately and never even want to look back.
I thought about laying out a skeleton plot for you in my review, but I went into this book blind, with no expectations and it was a gorgeous experience, so I want the same for you. Don’t read the blurb, don’t read other reviews, just read this book. It’s gorgeous, heartrending and so very, very worth the time and attention it commands.
If you loved Saving Abel as much as I did you will love Forgiving Gia even more!!!! Abel will forever be my favorite book boyfriend he has ruined me for all others lol the opening of the book showed just how shattered Gia was and I felt the same seeing her being so heart broken over losing abel struck a cord with me it was so sad. We find out that Gia tried to take her life!!! Can you blame the poor girl? She just lost the love of her life her sir her everything when you lose that what do you have left? When you have family and friends that truely love you anything is possible even though Abel and his father don't get along he really dose love his son, seeing that Abel is in ruins like Gia he decides to fix what is broken and bring them back together! I think I've developed a crush on Mr.Gunner as well lol its the Dom thing. My next amazing friend in this book would be Chance ohhh that boy dispite the shadyness that occurs later I don't wanna spoil but I really love him I want to see him get his own book and his own happy ending he really dscerves it! Abel seeing Gia again oh god it was epic there was fireworks so much love passion and devotion it was beautiful and so memorable. Able and his Beauty together is a thing a legands and ultimate bond of love and devotion. I was beyond happy to have the two of them back together made me smile so much. This book deffiently is far more erotic and goes deeper into the BDSM lifestyle. I love how Mr.Gunner takes care of business weather its saving Gia it getting rid of anything that could hurt her he has a heart of gold I was happy to see more of him I was however not happy to meet Mrs. Gunner I can't say that I'm a fan of hers especially with details given towards the end it I don't hate her its complicated. It made me very happy that the boys in the band her happy to see Abel and Gia back together, well everyone but ender I've really grown to dislike him that man needs a girl to put his ass in line and not take his s*** lol I'm really looking forward to reading that. Again evil Morgana has reared her head while on tour Lethal Abel is in Europe while in Paris Gia manages to get away from Abel and of course all hell breaks loose besides killing a poor innocent cat that evil hag tries to kill Gia!!! My heart stopped and I lost my breath especially not with the big secret Gia is holding. This book took me on a hell of a roller coaster of emotions it was well worth the wait and I loved it more then words can describe!!! Gina Whitney did it again making you feel every emotion keeping you on edge and giving you exactly what you need over and over again. Now waiting for the last book for Abel and Gia is some major suckage but I know that once again it will be worth the wait. THIS IS A MUST READ ONE CLICK THIS BITCH!!!!!! YOU WONT BE SORRY!!!

The long awaited sequel to Saving Abel had finally landed; in my Kindle! How excited I was to receive the honour of yet again, reviewing a book written by Gina Whitney.
The story continues exactly where it had left off. Abel had flown half way around the world to go on tour with his band feeling betrayed by Gia. And Gia? Well, the gal in question was left standing all alone feeling completely devastated, totally suicidal. Gina feeling fragile, is a lost soul without her soul mate, completely shuts off from the world. In steps; the most unlikely saviour; Abel’s dad. He gathers her up, takes her half way around the world, and reunites her with her loved one; his son.
Abel sits alone feeling desolate and in pain, drowning his sorrows to get through the hours and days, missing his beloved Gia. After being confronted by his dad, Abel is devastated to learn how leaving Gia had affected her so much. After many hours of talking and sharing details; traumas of times gone by, they both come to the conclusion that their love would overcome any obstacles.
One such obstacle is Abel’s hard faced ex-girlfriend, Morgana. I really disliked this bitchy woman who very conveniently continued to haunt their lives and cause as much chaos and pain as she possibly could. The story follows the couple on a self-discovery of themselves and of each other. The intimate moments still steamed up my glasses; however, their story also filled me with such warmth as they were ‘that’ couple for me! So much in love— me? I turned me into a soppy mess!
I loved that he called her his beauty. The name just seemed to fit her to a tee. I felt quite envious of the love and tenderness Abel showed towards Gia. But there’s someone that troubles you in the storyline, that someone who kept popping up and irritated me no end. The twists and turns of this story filled the pages up quite nicely and held my attention throughout. Abel and Gia were just meant to be and nothing or no-one was going to get in the way!
My thanks to the author for allowing me to review this great book. A well-deserved five glorious shiny stars for an impeccably written book which I couldn't fault.
Forgiving Gia picks up right where Saving Abel left off. Thank gosh!!!! I have been waiting a long time to see what happened next due to Saving Abel's huge cliffhanger. Forgiving Gia was everything and beyond!!! I was not disappointed with this sequel at all!!! It was beautifully written and well thought out. I love where Gia decided to go with this story or yet series. I loved how all the intricate details were woven together and how they unfolded. I also loved that we got dual POVs again. It was nice to be inside both Gia's and Abel's heads. I was able to connect with them on a deeper level that way.
After Abel left Gia, she suffered so much pain that she decided to end it all, but thankfully she was found in time. I really adored her in this book. Gia loved Abel so deeply that she can't live life without him. Abel loves her the same way. He left her without getting her side of the story and has been living in misery every since. When he learns what she did, he became so sick at thought of losing her. But that is where they come back together and it was just perfect. I loved how Abel's dad played a huge part in getting them back together. Abel believes that his father doesn't care about him at all, but the truth is that he does. I loved watching that part of the story unfold. I adore all of Abel's band mates still. They are like family to him, and they always have each others backs. I can't stand Morgana!!! I hope she gets whats coming to her as with Gia's mom.
Forgiving Gia was a fun, sexy story that definitely hooked me from the first page and never let me go until the end. I could not put this book down once I started. There is so much going on and so much yet that needs to unfold. The end of this book had a cliffhanger that definitely left me wanting more. There were so many twists and turns with this story that I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. Talk about surprises as well!!! I had a few shocking moments with this story. I want more!!! Hopefully, I don't have to wait a long time for the nest book Gina!!! I highly recommend this book!!!! It was full of awesomesauce!!!!
Forgiving Gia literally picks up right where it left off with that horrible cliffhanger from Saving Abel. Do you remember that cliffhanger? My heart does....Whitney shattered my heart with that one. Anyway, so Gia is just an emotional mess when Abel walks away from her to board his private jet to Europe, leaving her to pick up the pieces of herself from the tarmac. I really can't go into details about what happens to her in those few days, but what I can tell you is it will break your heart for her.
Gia and Abel won't be apart for long, and when they finally come face-to-face, Abel will break your heart and melt your panties with the things he tells Gia--that he is just a man, not a Dom, a man in love. *swoons* Seriously, there are some epic swoon-moments in this book. Together they learn that to walk away without even hearing the other person out is silly and childish, but that keeping secrets isn't any better. Gia and Abel are connecting on an even deeper level know, which is probably why I loved this book more than Abel. I love the sex scenes, but I also want my characters to be more than just sex. I felt like Gina Whitney gave a little of both worlds in this book. We get some new scenes which involve some extremely hot sex, while also getting moments of honesty as to who Gia and Abel are and why they are the way they are. Abel has always been a fascinating character to me, and being able to see who he is as a person and why he does the things he does, that was just a really interesting thing for Gina to include in this book.
I'll tell you one thing, though Gina Whitney does answer some of your questions about who these characters are, she also manages to make you ask more. Like why the heck am I so in love with Abel's dad? Seriously....my crush switched from Abel to Tim Gunner in two seconds flat when Gia and then Abel figure out one of the most epic secrets that Tim has been keeping from everyone. And that was the moment I fell in love with Tim Gunner. And you know what? I am so okay with that.
A BIG 5 ★★★★★ Rating. Wow with the cliffhanger that the first book ended on, I cannot tell you how excited I was to recieve Forgiving Gia...... I don't think Excited is a strong enough word. I absolutely love Gina Whitney and her writing she knows how to rock it. In true Gina form she couldn't just give us what we're used to she always has to aim higher, and she did it seamlessly with this book.
We left the last book with Abel Gunner kicking Gia to the curb. Gia is left broken hearted and not able to move, it's like her life is going into oblivion.
What can she do ? She was too late, she should have told Abel sooner.
Abel heads away on his European tour, with his life in tatters and we all know how Abel takes lifes bad situations ..... getting high drinking himself into abyss. In true Abel formhe does that and more.
The things that unfold in this book I never imagined happening.
The only spoiler I will give you is that Abel's dad is the one to fix the burnt bridges between with Abel and Gia and wow what an emotional time this is .... I never imagined falling for his dad, but this book you see a different side to his dad and it truly captured a piece of my heart.
In this book you get to delve into parts of Abel's childhood and find out why he is the way he is, its truly heartbreaking.
The story may take on a deeper role in this book, but don't think it lets you down on the hotness factor, it in no way does that in fact I think its a lot more erotic and beautiful this time. There's a scene in the book that involves an elevator and a sex scene between Abel and Gia that will get your pulse racing .... seriously, it makes 50 shades life scene seem like plain old vanilla .
I can't wait to read more in this rockers series, it doesn't matter how much Gina gives us I don't think I'll even get my fill of these people, and I somehow don't think that's the last we'll see of the devious Bitches.
This is a must read book, it doesn't disappoint, you'll be sorry if you miss reading it.
I was given and ARC for my hones opinion and I must say I need to stand and applaud Gina. Abso-Fucking-lutely amazing. When Saving Abel ended my heart was broken and I just needed to know what was to happen. When I opened my kindle and saw Forgiving Gia on there I absolutely cried I was so happy. We open to Gia being in the Hospital because she couldn't handle how things were left with Abel and so she tries to take her own life. Abel is on tour but he isn't doing any better by self destructing himself with he pain of missing Gia. With the help of friends and A father who truly does love his son Gia is brought to Abel. I was drawn into this book like I was standing right there. I felt everything ever character felt. And you Just laugh and cry and your heart gets sucked out of you to just be thrown right back in. In this story Morgana is still up to her same old shit. But the big shocker is who her informant is and why this person did it. You have the other members still there Ender with his Spanish self, Woody with his own way of saying things that sometimes sound not entirely how they should. You have Alpha Abel who will stop at nothing to Protect Gia, but He finds out that she will do the same. I have never read a book so good that When you end you are happy, crying and saying WTF because these are just characters in a book they are your family and friends. You must read this book. Gina never disappoints and she isn't disappointing this time either. She ahs my heart with Able and Gia and I don't know if I will ever get it back.
One of the best series I've read this year!! Gina Whitney turns words into literary gold!! ***Full review to come during the blog tour***
5+++ star rating!!!
I want to start off saying that this series is one of the best that I have read this year!! I love Saving Abel, and Forgiving Gia was even better!!! Gina Whitney is a literary genius!!! My goodness can this woman write!!!
My heart was put thru the ringer at the end of Saving Abel! OMG...Im not even kidding...I want Morgana and Medusa GONE...in any way, shape, or form!!! It kills me what they did to Abel and Gia!! I am glad however, that they found there way back to each other, are moving forward and more in love than ever.
I also love all the side characters!! Cindy is da bomb!! I love her feistiness!!! I can't wait to see what happens between her and Woody!! Now Woody...I have never met a sexier Irishman, and that mouth of his...sigh...his sayings make me get all swoony!! Ender, he has something mysterious going on and I can't wait to find out what it is!! Jake...I mean how can you not love jake!!
I can't express this enough...YOU MUST READ THIS SERIES!!! The writing is superb, the story line is fabulous, you can't help but become emotionally involved in this story!!! GET THESE BOOKS NOW!!! (incase ya didn't hear me the first time)
I can't seem to put into words how I feel about Gia and Abel's story. I loved Saving Abel and Forgiving Gia was the same. There was so much going on in this book however and the back and forth between characters was kind of hard to follow at times.
Gia grew up with a horrible mother and you learn a little bit more about that in this book. Abel also grew up in a similar situation only his parents actually cared, you learn more about that as well. These two make an interesting couple and while Abel is a Dom without a doubt, Gia tries to submit. Needless to say she is a dominant in her own way, making it a constant struggle.
In Saving Abel we leave Gia on the tarmack when Abel flies off and leaves her because of Morgana. We pick up in this book learning how that affected both of them. When they are finally reunited Abel becomes even more protective and dominant than before. Gia's mouth gets her in trouble a lot and Morgana is out for vengeance.
It once again however ended with me wanting more. Gina has created characters and a story that are beyond words and I can't wait to find out what is in store for these characters. There is so much that could happen and I can't wait to find out for myself!!!
How do I even begin this review?? To be quite honest, this book was as much of an emotional roller coaster as I expected it to be. Like, tear your heart out and stomp it on the floor to elated, jump around the room kind of emotional roller coaster. I went from full blown ugly crying within the first two chapters to silently celebrating when Abel and Gia got through their differences. While there were some predictable bits in the book, there were also unexpected twists and turns. I loved “watching” Abel and Gia grow closer to each other as they worked on their relationship. Gina Whitney has such a way with words that left me spellbound. One moment I was swooning over the sweet words that she wove into creation, while others I wanted to throw my kindle in frustration. Before I spoil the book for everyone, I am going to end by saying this is one of the best books I have read to date. Gina Whitney is by far my favorite author! She has set my expectation bar so high, she may have just ruined other authors for me! Go get this book! It definitely will not disappoint!!
4.5 stars This was a great follow-up to Saving Abel, the first book in the series. You need to read that before this one, so if you haven't stop now and go read it. This book picks up right where Saving Abel left off. Gia has done something that would have been irreversible, if not for the people who care about her. When Abel finds out what happened, he is beside himself because of what he did. With his fathers help, Abel is finally moving forward and claiming the one he never should have let go - Gia. Abel and Gia still have to contend with Morganna, and finding out who is feeding her information from the inside. This was so good to read and find out what came next for not just Abel and Gia, but for Lethal Abel as well. The main focus is Abel and Gia, but Lethal Abel is an important part of the story as well. It pulled me in and didn't let go until the end. There is so much more that goes on in this book, and it's not the end of the story for them either, I cannot wait to find out what is next for our intoxicating, passionate duo.
