Jade Moore was no stranger to the MC lifestyle. Growing up the daughter of the President of the Satan's Rebels, she knew all about family and loyalty. Her world slowly crumbles when she loses not only her parents, but her brother and best friend. Her uncle steps in and becomes the family she so desperately needs.
But what happens when the only family you have left betrays everything you have ever known?
Jade is drug into the Condemned Warrior world where she is imprisoned for four agonizing years. Beaten and brutalized, she wishes for death, but it never comes.
Reaper inherited the MC from his brother, Halo, and will do whatever it takes to keep the club safe. Anything, including handing over his niece to the club's enemy. All he has to do is convince her brother, Tank, and best friend, Shadow, that she has run away. Easy. But what Reaper never expects is for Tank and Shadow to come home looking for answers years later and discovering the truth.
Tank and Shadow return to their hometown to investigate missing funds. It's when they begin digging for the evidence, they discover a much darker secret that Reaper has been hiding. Enlisting the help of the club's Sergeant at Arms, Viper, they set out to rescue Jade and bring her home where she belongs.
Viper's reputation is well known both inside and out of the MC. He is a cold-blooded killer, incapable of any feeling but hatred. His allegiance lies with Tank and the club. He will do whatever it takes to bring Jade home, even if it means crossing enemy lines to save her. What he doesn't expect is to fall for her.

Even though this is a short story it does pack a huge punch!!It's jam packed of all things which make a good biker book into one of my favorite books of the year (2014 & 2015)!!
RETRIBUTION
At the age of sixteen Jades life as she knew it was changed forever..The Satan's Rebel's took her in and became her family..
Then the unimaginable happens when Jade is passed into the hands of a rival gang by her Uncle Reaper (The Condemned Warriors) who will never let her go and dish out daily beatings, rape, torture, promised that she will not be sold..
They have promised that you will not be sold. If I give them you, the club is safe. You are only one person, Jade.
I'm your fucking niece! I snarl. You're just going to hand me over to them? They are going to kill me!
I would do anything for the club Jade. Even if it means giving you to the devil himself.
The female character in this first book is beaten and broken beyond repair but is one of the toughest female characters I have encountered..
WAR
Beaten and brutalized all Jade wishes for is death to come quickly..
VENGEANCE

Just when you think life as Jade knew it was slowly coming back to normal by slowly picking up the pieces of her DESTROYED life yet again the author throws you a curve ball..
Viper will save me, just like he did before.
I have read ALOT of BIKER BOOKS and this just blew me away!!
I'm going to keep this short so it doesn't turn into a rant, solely due to my annoyance at the MAJOR cliffhanger of an ending.
This was good.
But it could have been waaaaaaaay good.
The back story for this book was wicked badass and original and I was so excited to read it that I totally ignored the four other books I am currently reading to devour this thing.
Being that it was a novella (and I knew that going in), I knew things would move fast...as they do in a novella. The beginning was really good. It laid out the foundations of the story premise and moved along from there - quickly - but clearly, in a way that made sense.
Where it kind of lost me, however, was in the middle. The tone got a little unbalanced and then these things happened:
1)
2)
3)
Like I said, I really enjoyed the premise; in fact, I would have loved to read this in the form of a full length novel. I actually think that might have solved the tone issue and some of the choppiness.
It could also do with some more proofreading. Despite working as a proofreader in the past, I am usually game to overlook most typos and errors so long as they don't inhibit my enjoyment of the story...But when one of those typos involves using the wrong character name, it throws me off a bit.
Also, be aware before reading this that there IS a major cliffhanger ending. I'm not sure if this is going to be a serial or jump into a full novel series, but just know that going in. ["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>
Jade survived hell for four years before she was rescued by her brothers MC and his sergeant at arms, Viper. Feeling an instant connection to him, Viper is the one she turns to while recovering. This was a fast paced story and only pretty meh for me. I couldn't get into the story because it moved so fast and seemed to skip over all of the important details.
After being saved Jade got over the fact that she was beaten, raped, and humiliated for four years pretty quickly which was too unrealistic for me. She went from being saved, to skipping a couple months ahead where she seemed fine. Honestly this didn't even feel like a story to me and didn't flow at all.
The middle of the book was so different from the beginning and I didn't understand all of what was going on with the story. I especially hated when Viper, not long after deciding he was going to pursue a romantic relationship with Jade, saw a woman at the club (who was Jade dressed differently than usual) and decided he was going to "tap that." The readers knew it was Jade, but he didn't so that just made me want to slap him silly. I didnt feel the connection between Jade and Viper and other than them both talking about wanting the other there was no romance between the two and no chemistry.
This book had a lot of potential but it fell short. Most of what happened I couldn't see a reason for, other than to create more drama. It ended on a cliffhanger but I'm in no hurry to go on with this. I have hope, though, that when I do continue I will enjoy the next more than this one.
Full blown rant ahead, set your sails. Some spoilers as well, since I'm trying to prevent anyone else from wasting their time.
Seriously? How is it possible that this novella has such good ratings when in reality it's full of... it. I'm pretty sure I, once again, read a completely different book than the others. I didn't finish this one. Mainly because this was so outrageously bad.
Besides the annoying amount of misspellings and other grammar errors (which even I noticed and English isn't even my first language), this novella read more like a synopsis than an actual story. The characters were two-dimensional at best, there was absolutely no growth in any of them, the plot was rushed and the timeline was unclear. Also, I'm tired of everyone promoting the "alcohol = fun" equation.
This was a complete disgrace to biker books. Starting from the fact that there wasn't any real descriptions of the characters or the setting, it doesn't make a book a "biker book" if you just say that "this here is the Satan's Rebels MC and all the guys ride their bikes" (especially when the first mention of them riding anything is when Viper drives A CAR). To make any story authentic, there has to be some sort of authentic description. There wasn't.
Second, you know the saying "Actions speak more than words"? Yeah, it's true. Both in real life and in writing. So here you have characters who are supposed to be tough (this is portrayed by them swearing extensively and using profanities to highlight their "toughness" even more), and what do they do? They talk, then talk a little bit more and just stand around talking even more. Even crying a bit. And I'm not saying that real men / bikers don't cry. I'm saying, that while they talk about revenge and killing, they don't portray that feeling of vengeance in any other way.
Then there's the fact that MC's are supposed to be all about the brotherhood and loyalty. It seems that neither of the clubs in this book is. Again, this isn't showed to the reader, it's told in a way of "Reaper gave Jade to the rival club 'cause he was scared of the war between the clubs and wanted to save his club, nevermind the fact that Jade was his niece." Where's the loyalty in that? Or how in the hell he managed to keep this fucked up decision from everyone else? That would have been nice to know. It would have added some depth into the character.
Speaking of character depth, the main character, Jade, went through hell after his uncles decision to hand her over to the rival club. She was beaten, raped, whipped and basically molested and tortured in every way imaginable for four years. She survived, thanks to his brother and their best friend, who stumbled upon some mishap which lead them to find out about Jade. Then fast-forward two months and Jade is rescued by Viper, who basically just walks in and shoots everyone and carries Jade out. Anyone else find that a joke?
Again, there isn't any actual description of things happening, they just do. Jade's taken to a hospital where she's taken care of, and despite the fact that her jaw's broken, her ribs are bruised and she has other mutilations, she leaps from the hospital bed straight to Viper's arms. Dramatic? Yes. Believable? No.
Again, fast-forward two months and suddenly Jade and Viper are best buddies. No development, no description, they just are. "He made me laugh. He made me smoothies." And that's it, basically. Then there's the obligatory family spat when Jade has to establish herself as a "grown woman" by getting drunk, dancing with some random club brother and throwing a tantrum when her actual brother tries to tell her to take it easy.
Note the fact, that so far she hasn't gotten any help to deal with the traumatic four years she has had. She has gotten the wires off from her jaw, but she hasn't talked to anyone about anything. And considering that she has been raped and beaten and who knows what else, she isn't afraid of touching men or being around them. She doesn't even shy away when the random club brother grinds against here while dancing. Add the fact that she's being called Princess all the time and .... yeah. I don't even know what to say. I get that everyone deals differently, but it was like reading about a talking head who just stood there in the middle of the scene. That's how I actually saw the book: series of ill-prepared, incomplete scenes with lousy lighting.
Also I find it really difficult to believe their "growing feelings" when Viper is ready to fuck the unknown woman who's talking to Jade's brother. The thing is, the woman is Jade, "all dolled up", and Viper doesn't recognise her at first, but goes to dance with her and grinds against here like a cat in heat before he realises who she is. And when he does realise, he continues what he's doing, and Jade doesn't even care that he thought he was grinding against someone else. How's that for deep feelings? No reaction whatsoever, except for giggling.
There are loads of things in this book I didn't like. And since I actually like my life most days, I want to enjoy it. That means not reading books that I don't like. So hopefully I can save someone's time with this review.
And if you disagree with everything I just wrote here, by all means read the book, you'll probably love it.
This was a short read that introduced the series well. After reading the first few chapters I admit that I was excited.
It starts with a 16 year old Jade – the heroine, who is taken by another MC club – Condemned Warriors, who are the main enemy to her dead Fathers and Uncle’s MC club - Satan’s Rebels. Except this isn’t really a kidnapping….her uncle – Reaper – who is the president of the MC club, allows her to be taken as ‘insurance’ in order to keep peace between the rival clubs.
Years later, Jade’s brother – Tank, her childhood best friend – Shadow and Viper, the notorious sergeant at arms discover Reaper’s betrayal and so cues Viper’s speciality – torture. He not only tortures information out of Reaper as to Jade’s whereabouts, but comes up with a plan to rescue her and carry out the plan successfully.
So Jade ends up back with her family, only she has suffered immensely over the four years. Incredibly so. But this isn’t fully described in the book, with the things she had endured hinted at enough to get the point across. The main bulk of the short story covers her recovery and the development of her bond with Viper.
After the first few chapters, like I said, I was looking forward to this series. Particularly with Viper, who really does have some nasty tricks up his sleeve that have earned his notoriety as a cold-blooded killer, who feels nothing and loves no-one. However within minutes of reading from his POV, I was a bit disappointed. His thoughts did not match those of his reputation or actions. Sure he was mesmerised by Jade, but still, I expected more darkness. Maybe this will come in the next book, I don’t know.
Another thing that sort of got to me, was the OTT –ness of the story. I didn’t really get why Jade was given to the Condemned Warriors as insurance, just so they could torture her for four years? And her mental recovery was pretty damn quick considering she was raped, abused, beaten etc. Then there’s the ending with yet another which wasn’t realistic to me. Still, there is some promise for the series and if I feel in the mood for a love triangle – which is pretty much guaranteed in book 2 – then I might continue reading.
Wow what an amazing heart breaking story I absolutely loved the characters and I'm loving the storyline. I was just so pissed at what Jade had to go through but I loved Viper he was such a bad ass with a heart of gold. On to book 2.
This was a first time read by a new author. I think the story line had good potential but my real rating would be 2.5.
It's a major cliff hanger, which I knew from reading some of the comments on the book but still decided to check it out to see if I would like this series. There were so many noticeable things to me that didn't make it quite believable at all and remember I'm the one that always screams "hey it's fiction." The h is rescued by the SAA of her brother's club after he infiltrates the rival club and is patched in. When he rescues her, he busted into the room at their club, released her from her chains AFTER 4 or 5 big burly men had literally beat the heck out of her, rushes through the club with no one stopping him and puts her in his CAR and escapes. Very little mention of any of these bad boys riding bikes, they're always in a car, truck, van. The h spent 4 years being beat brutally by the rival gang and the beat down descriptions are detailed with all the fist pummeling by multiple, kicking, etc. But when she is rescued the MC doctor says "worst case of brutality I've seen" but then goes on to say no ribs broke, a few cuts that need a few stitches and looks like her arm was broke at one time. The h's description describes her as a petite woman. There's a lot of other minor discrepancies that I could go on about but the book really doesn't pass for me. As I said, it had potential but the execution just didn't ring true to me.
Bleh... I don't want to say too much, so I'll make this one quick. Blurb was promising, but the story fell completely flat. No development of characters or storyline. She had been kidnapped, rescued and war ensued within a few pages it seemed. Without any buildup there wasn't a bond developed with any characters. As a result, I didn't feel the least bit of emotional attachment to any of the characters. On the upside, at least it was over quickly. Sorry, but this definitely wasn't the one for me.
5 million stars. The whole series. If ur an mc fan, which I am, check my shelves. This has to be the best book I've read all year. Uts as though KA and Ames Patterson got together.
This book had so much potential however did not live up to any of it.
Unrealistic, sad, and just a joke all together!
Jade, our heroine grew up in the MC, her dad being the president and all and then one day her mom dies, her dad kills himself not even a year later, her uncle takes over and send her brother and best friend to another charter.
My issue is, Jade at this time is 16, her brother and best friend know she just lost both parents, why would they leave her uncle raising her inside the clubhouse? Her brother should have taken her with him.
Supposedly her brother and bff used to call to speak to her but the uncle told them she didn't want to talk? What girl at this day and age at the age of 16 does not have a phone?
AGAIN, what brother would leave his sister? Since they were so close??
Then her uncle sells her to an rival MC, and she gets gang raped, beaten and starved everyday for 4 years! That is 1,460 days of torture yeah? She gets rescued and then her brother puts her into the clubhouse again? I have read plenty of books with victims of sexual and physical abuse, no female EVER would feel comfortable enough to sleep inside an MC club house with strange men in and out after she was gang-raped on a daily basis for 4 years!
This book was a joke, and it was unrealistic, and the saddest part is, IF you're going to use a subject like "rape" and "violence" do more research about the actual crime, and the actual healing process!
The cliffhanger surprised me but that's on me because I didn't read all the synopsis, after the first bit I knew I wanted to read this book. This is a short book but it had potential, after the death of her parents Jade is put into the care of Reaper her uncle who takes over from her father as the president of the Satan's Rebels, her brother Tank and his best friend Shadow are sent away but even though she feels alone and betrayed she feels safe until her uncle gives her to the rival MC, a cruel MC who abuse and torture her for four long years until Tank realises that she didn't actually run away. I liked the main characters and most of the story but I wanted more, it needed more details and more padding, while it was unrealistic at times and confusing at others I will be reading the next one since I want to continue Jade and Vipers story.
DNF @ 64% - I had to stop when she decided to go partying wearing a leather mini-skirt and halter top.
It is quite obvious this author doesn't know any victims of rape, because let me tell you that after 8 weeks of being saved from FOUR YEARS of repeated sexual abuse...no. I've known people with worse PTSD after one count of sexual abuse. I don't care how strong you are, that shit would scar you so badly, and yet all this heroine seems to be doing is flirting and lusting after her rescuer...um, what?
5 why did it take me so long to read stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!
Holy Hell that was good! I'm left speechless and totally
I wasn't sure what I would get with this book because of the split in reviews. You either loved or hated it. I loved this book and am HOOKED! I just hope the series doesn't disappoint me as the books go on.
As of now, I'm not stoping until this series is done.
I wanted the story fleshed out more. I wanted a better feel of the characters. I realize that was a prequel but felt that this would go a lot farther in developing the story. Hopefully, the next book gives that and Jade can finally get peace and comfort. She certainly needs and deserves it.
Review as it appears on my blog,Avid Reader Amy's Reviews In Destroyed we learn about Jade and Viper. Two people brought together by horrendous circumstances. Jade was given to a rival MC by someone who was supposed to love her. During her time away, she is tortured in every way possible. Jade is a strong character. Even though she is living a nightmare, she still stays strong. Viper is Jade’s “Knight in Shining Armor”. He saves her and in turn she saves him. They are two kindred spirits that were brought together. I loved Viper, he is an alpha male but with a sweet and caring side. The author, Kira Johns, did a wonderful job with this book. She shows it from a multiple POV but the reader doesn’t get lost in it. I loved that the author did not go into graphic detail about Jade’s torture. You still feel for Jade but you are not detoured from reading it. Overall I loved the book. I cannot wait to read more in the series. I have to warn that the book ends in a BIG cliffhanger; so be sure to pick up the second book too. A definite recommend but for readers 18+.
Title: Destroyed Series: Satan's Rebels MC Author: Kira Johns Genre: Contemporary Romance Pages: 121 Heat Level: 1 out of 4 flames Overall Star Rating: 4 out of 5 stars Reviewed by Kay Book Snitch
This novella starts the series. The couple from this book will get their own full length book with book two of the series. Fair warning to the readers out there, this is not MC lite. There's dark content, graphic violence and possible triggers for some.
A kidnapped young girl, tortured for four years. She's rescued but the past comes back to rear it's ugly head and take away her only chance at happiness. Good start to a series and I will be reading more by this author.
Cute read. I understand this was a novella, but I felt disconnected with the characters. I hate when an author tells a reader what happened without dialogue. It takes away from the authenticity of the characters. I may have continued with this series had I not realized I was walking into a love triangle. I spared myself. I don't expect love triangles when reading MC books, it should be enough drama with the sex, lies, drugs, murders, and betrayals without adding a loathsome love triangle. UGH!!!!!!!!! Thought I had my next series lined up. NOT!
Short MC story about betrayal and healing . Heroine is Jade . In this part 1 hero is Viper . Jades father( Halo) passed and her uncle took over the presidents patch . Jades brother Tank and best friend Shadow moved to another chapter of the MC . Once they did move Jades uncle sold her to another MC . Their worst enemy . Grab the story and see how Jade was abused . Who saved her
