God made you to be each of these...and much more. Stu Weber 's bestseller paints a dramatic and compelling picture of balanced manhood according to God's vision.
Written in a warm, personal style, Weber presents the characteristics of tender warriors—including learning to speak the language of women, watching out for what lies ahead, and keeping commitments—in an upfront, straightforward style that challenges readers to realize God's plan for men.
King (or Leader) – a man of order and responsibility. Warrior (or Protector) – a man of courage and protection. Mentor (or Teacher) – a man who shapes lives. Friend (or Lover) – a man of compassion and connection.
According to Stu Weber, these are the four key qualities that make a man a man from a biblical perspective. Generally, good stuff.
This was first published in 1993, and it's hard to disagree with a book that has been published and republished for more than 20 years (over 700,000 copies sold!). Still, I did feel that it was somewhat dated and that too many military and sports stories were used to illustrate true manhood. Not every "man" can relate to these.
