They tell me to abandon all hope. They tell me the path to freedom is impossible. But I will never bow to defeat.
The darkest times can always get darker. With Satan inhabiting a new body and allied with the Queen of the Dead, it seems all the light in the world is gone. I'm nothing but a bird trapped in a cage, prisoner to the madness of Queen Ereshkigal.
But things aren't always what they seem.
My men will risk death to come for me, and the past linking us all together is coming full circle.
Destiny brought me to the underworld for a reason. It's time to take a leap of faith and become what I was meant to be.
Not a caged bird, not an angel, and certainly no saint - but the hell-bent incarnation of eternal love and war. And all will fall before me.

Feels like I waited a million years for this book when I just read the series early December lol. It was soooo worth the wait and I am sad this is the end. Things literally picked up where they left off where our little hellion Melisande is captured and at the whims of her enemies. But of course Melisande, Queen of the scariest hell beasts there are is no damsel in distress. She'll take her beatings until the right moment where she can escape their clutches and destroy both Satan and his insane new Goddess Queen. Not only is she sure her men are on their way, she's plotting planning and taking note of everything but surely not waiting to be saved. Much of the book is spent with the gang split up and that's my only complaint. I wish we got a bit more time of them together when they weren't fighting to save hell and each other. The epilogue was amazing but I am never pleased :P Now here's to hoping Vera gets her own story because I'm already living for it and not so silently begging for it <3
This book was the perfect ending to the series. Poor Melisande has gone through so much to be where is she is. After the last book ended, Mel and Lucifer were being held and tortured by a sadistic goddess, who at every turn tries to break Mel. When the rest of her guys show up, things go from bad to worse. This book shows how much Mel loves her family and will do anything for them, even sacrificing herself. Absolutely loved all the twists and turns this book had. So happy Mel and her family got their happy ending after all that.
4.8 stars. Well, I’m sad that it’s over, but that was a perfect ending to the series.
I absolutely loved this series. This author has quickly stole my favor, and has been added to the list of authors I continuously check up on so I don’t miss any new releases. This series just cemented that.
The plot was complex and ever shifting because of new things popping up, keeping me completely engrossed and wanting more. The characters were all unique and had their own purpose and personalities. All of them making me love them for different reasons and proving themselves over and over even through heart breaking circumstances. The sex was steamy and passionate and plentiful and woven so completely within the book that it seemed to belong and add to the story. The action scenes were dangerous and vicious, bloody, and straight to the point. Nothing was dragged out, a habit of some authors which always makes me want to skim through fight scenes.
I just had a fantastic time going through the whirlwind of emotions, gains, and losses with these characters. It was everything I was hoping for and more.
I can’t wait to see what else this author has in store for her readers.
🌟Brief Summary: This is a review for the entire series. This will have mild spoilers but I’ll try to stick to safety and opinions.
‼️This was a solid 4 star series until book 5 and it all went to shit. (See spoilers below) Honestly I really have this 2.5 stars ⭐️ but rounded up cause it was safe and had no OW.
❣️Things I Liked/Loved❣️ -❤️I LOVED THE HAREM- they were not OTT but they were a well balanced and had lots of swoon moments. -Overall good 🌎 world building -Depth of character and SOME character growth. -I liked the Gladiator vibe -I love me a FMC that has fight to her…how ever juvenile🙄
Things I Did 💔 Not Like -‼️I DO NOT LIKE THE VERY CLOSE BUT TWISTED BIBLICAL STORY. I like fantasy and even Angel/demons PNR but this was pushing my limits. If it wasn’t written by Cate I would have DNF and maybe still should have.
-‼️The FMC was the most Juvenile FMC. She thought telling Someone to “fuck off” was the answer to EVERYTHING.
-‼️The constant separation from one or more of her harem throughout the series. My Pet peeve!
-‼️2 different men in her harem where being controlled by another entity during the series. I hate this esp when the guy doesn’t really have remorse for what he didn’t to the h during that time. It’s so dumb I hate this type of storyline. At the very least that control wasn’t sexual so they stayed faithful. That’s not always the case in these situations so I appreciate that.
-⚠️now for a spoiler of book 5⚠️ Why oh why🤦🏼♀️ This is where the story took a serious plummet. Book 5 was like reading a totally diff story. INTRODUCING A NEW AND MORE POWERFUL ENEMY IN THE LAST BOOK IS A NO GO!!!!!!! This enemy wasn’t introduced took the very end of book 4. Till then she had never been talked about. Then we had to endure almost a whole book of our FMC being tortured. Then her men are yet again in and out of the story. This was unpleasant and frustrating to read. What was the point of her being pregnant? She stupidly goaded the bad guy to the pony of torture but all was ok cause she protected her baby w magic 🙄 she didn’t even allow herself to think of the baby as a priority. This book dive bombed this series for me. Then she ends up as a queen and goddess!? It just took weird turns and I WAS NOT HERE FOR IT. Ugh it’s so dumb. The only thing worth reading was the epilogue.
🦹🏻♂️ Hero: RH 🪽Lucifer- Prince of Hell, Fallen Angel, son of Satan
🦁Beliel- Prince of Wrath, Prince of the Seventh Circle
🐦⬛Azezel- Death God, Lord of the Watchers and the Grigori.
☠️Tascius - Nephilim turned Archangel
🦋 Heroine: Melisande- Fallen Angel 🪽 Prideful, arrogant, self righteous, severely juvenile, extremely entitled, makes lots of really stupid decisions and AWLAYS says the wrong thing…… 😳So yeah 🤷🏼♀️ I didn’t love her- she didn’t have any real character growth till book 5 and even then she wasn’t likable.
💭 POV: Multiple first person you get 1POV from each guy per book. Would have liked more from the guys.
🔥 Burn Rate: Medium- first sexy times in book 1 is at 50% and is pretty steady throughout the series
😡/😍 Angst level: Medium-low
❤️🔥 Sexy times & Descriptive sex: yes 🔥🔥🔥🔥 there are some good spicy sexy times
🌓 Push/Pull: Some mild push pull with some of her men but nothing lasts to long. Book 2 her and Beliel are on the outs it’s wrapped up by the end.
☠️ OW/OM Drama: None
🤮 OW/OM Sex / Fluid or DNA Exchange: None
🤬 Cheating: None
👰🏼♀️ Virgins: h is a V None of her harem are V
⛈️Separation/ 3rd Act Breakup: Mostly No -but throughout there are different times of separation with some of her mates.
Safety⚠️Triggers🗡️: Torture Bloody fighting
🌈Epilogue: Yes
🥂HEA: Yes
❌My opinion is just that… MY OPINION. I know we all get passionate about our favorite reads and characters but we should respect each opinions a thoughts. ~Thank you
The end. Sadly, the series didn’t end in a blaze of fire but like a balloon that's stepped on & gradually has the air leaked out of it. 2.5 unimpressive stars. This story made for a repetitive & dull finale.
Nice ending to an amazing beginning and enjoyable middle.
The first book was amazing. It was a flawless exposition, setting a beautiful tone and high expectations. However, as the series progressed, the characters became a bit bland. The author walked a fine line between brave and annoyingly reckless, with the scale tipping towards the latter for the most part and only the first and latter novel as an exception. Particularly whenever she endangered her baby to the point where the baby's survival was more of a plot armour than even possible in this magical world. There were a few plotholes across the series. For example in this book .
Nevertheless, the beginning and this last installment were wonderful, evening out the less great middle. It was something something that was definitely needed. In general, and with book 5, the author still did a good job at the world-building element, which is still unique and still special in this croweded and comepetitive RH world. The plot in book 5 was well-thought-out and executed.
The biggest issue with the series was probably the whipping of the scale from good and bad, from the characters to plot points. One thing particularly that personally comes to my mind is Vyra. It seemed to me that the author tried to make the reader like Vyra emphasis on try, sometimes more, sometimes with less success. but at times it seemed very forced and difficult to understand. Difficult to understand is very descriptive of her. Everyone seemed to like her, even though she did not truly bring a lot to the table for all the love and affection that went her way. Her deep relationship with anyone other than Melisande and her brother seemed to make little sense.
This novel was a nice ending to the series. The series overall was enjoyable, even with the series going forth between great and bad, with the best one being the first, followed by the finale.
I didn't care for this conclusion to this series, it was like reading a entirely different story. I think I'd been ok with just the whole Satan fight then bringing in another bad guy with a crazy different history and our H taking on the essence of said bad guys dead sister. I also didn't care for the melisande in this finally book, she just didn't seem like her usually kick*** self. Anyways, pretty much skimmed through, lost interest in pretty much the entire read except for the last 3 pages. And now I just feel blah
Overall I did enjoy this series a lot, most of all, because I like Cate Corvins female characters and writing. Written by her, I can even enjoy, mostly, genres I normally don‘t read, like bully or academy romance. This one was settingwise somewhere on my „meh“ scala. I am not a fan of angel and demon stories. As soon as faith and religion are too in your face I am definitely out. Fortunately that wasn‘t really the case here. I would have enjoyed some more world building and I wasn‘t a fan of all the characters, Lucifer stayed too bland and unremarkable for me and I just couldn‘t really get a read of Tascius, the whole story around him was strange IMO. But I mostly did enjoy Azazel and Belial. Furthermore Some aspects of the story were rather underveloped and it lost a lot of its potential therefore.
Book 4 and 5 also felt a little bit forced, I think it was planned as a trilogy and then the decision was made to slap on more books, because readers liked it, and I had the feeling that showed. Personally I think the better decision would have been to make a cut after book three and than start a new series / chapter / spin-off, if you know what I mean.
This last book for example felt completely different than the previous books. I think the transition into this almost „new world“ wasn‘t smoothly done and kinda came out of nowhere, no hints at all were mentioned before and that mostly felt forced to me. Neither the heroine, nor the overall feeling matched up with the last books, at times it felt like a whole other series, a whole other FMC.
So all in all I was entertained enough, I wanted to know how it ended, even though I didn‘t always like the tropes and things the author throws at us - but unfortunately it lost a lot of potential for me. And mourning the fact, that she didn‘t take the opportunity also develop the male relationships and friendships. We get hints of them, but oh so little. Definitely not in a sexual way here, but damn I would have loved me some good bromance. I also thought, females were hella underrepresented, almost all the big shots were male and an overall percentage of all the side characters were male.
I will definitely read more by Cate Corvin, and the way it was set up, I am wondering if we will get to see more of this world and certain characters. Perhaps those stories can satisfy me a little bit more.
I enjoyed this series quite a bit. The characters were interesting and each had their own voice and personality. I could have done without the pregnancy, but it was woven into the story well and didn't seem out of place. Melisande was wandering into Mary Sue territory towards the end of the series, mostly with this book, but as it was mostly at the end, it wasn't enough to really take away any enjoyment for me.
satisfying ending, i am so happy for Melisande and her guys, they got their happy ending! But i would looove to read more about this happy fam, finally when they all together in the same place.
This series hooked me as soon as i was starting this journey, Corvin did really good with this one, i will miss all of em soo much, i hope she will write on more (my wishfull thinking)
Really happy with the way this book ended but still want more from the seven circles. I hope to hear more from the other characters in the future. Definitely more there.
“Hell Bent,” the final book in Cate Corvin’s explosive reverse harem series, wraps up the dark and intense journey of our fallen angel heroine with a blend of action, romance, and emotional payoff that fans have been eagerly awaiting. This installment pulls out all the stops, diving headfirst into a chaotic battle for power that pits Heaven against Hell, with our protagonist caught in the middle as she fights to reclaim her fate and decide her own destiny.
The heroine’s evolution from a betrayed angel cast out of Heaven to a powerful, commanding figure in the underworld comes full circle in “Hell Bent.” Her character growth throughout the series has been one of its strongest aspects, and this final book gives her a fitting send-off. She’s no longer merely seeking vengeance; she’s building a new future for herself in a realm that wanted to destroy her. Her cunning, strength, and resilience shine through as she confronts the final challenges standing between her and her ultimate goal. Her arc is both empowering and emotionally resonant, making her one of the most memorable characters in dark fantasy romance.
Corvin skillfully weaves together the complex romantic dynamics that have been building throughout the series. The heroine’s relationships with her four love interests reach their climax, and each man is given a moment to shine. The brooding Nephilim, who started as a stoic and tortured figure, reveals a vulnerable side that solidifies his deep connection with the heroine. The demon of hunger, once driven by a purely physical desire, has evolved into a complex character whose love and loyalty are now undeniable. The heir to Satan’s throne, who faced immense political pressure and internal conflicts, finally embraces his destiny in a way that complements his partnership with the heroine. And the enigmatic prince who bound his soul to hers—perhaps the most mysterious of them all—finally reveals his true intentions, bringing their intense, layered relationship to a satisfying resolution. The chemistry between the heroine and her lovers is electric, and Corvin does a fantastic job of tying up these intricate emotional threads while keeping the tension and passion high.
The romance scenes are steamy, intense, and filled with a sense of urgency that befits the final book in the series. However, what stands out most is how these moments are infused with genuine emotional depth. By this point, the physical connections have been well-established, but it’s the emotional payoffs—expressions of love, trust, and even sacrifice—that give these scenes their weight. Readers who have been following the series for its steamy content will not be disappointed, but those who have been invested in the characters’ growth will find these moments even more gratifying.
The plot of “Hell Bent” is fast-paced and action-packed, delivering a satisfying conclusion to the overarching story of betrayal, power struggles, and revenge. The stakes are higher than ever as the heroine faces a final showdown with the archangels who betrayed her. Corvin deftly handles the tension, keeping readers on the edge of their seats as the battle for control of Hell unfolds. The climactic fight scenes are vivid and intense, blending supernatural powers with brutal combat that showcases the heroine’s formidable strength and cunning. The political intrigue and alliances formed throughout the series come to a head, with unexpected betrayals and surprising twists that keep the narrative fresh and unpredictable.
One of the most rewarding aspects of this final book is its exploration of the theme of identity and autonomy. The heroine has spent the series struggling to reclaim her agency after being manipulated by forces far more powerful than herself. In “Hell Bent,” she finally takes full control of her destiny, making choices that reflect her growth and determination. This theme resonates throughout the book, culminating in a satisfying resolution that underscores her journey from a pawn in a celestial game to a powerful, self-determined figure who has carved out her own place in the world.
While “Hell Bent” offers a mostly satisfying conclusion, it isn’t without its minor flaws. The rapid pacing, while thrilling, can at times feel a bit rushed, particularly during the final battle sequences. Some readers may wish for more time to fully savor the resolution of certain plot threads or to delve deeper into the aftermath of key events. Additionally, the scope of the conflict between Heaven and Hell is immense, and while Corvin does a commendable job of wrapping up the main plotlines, a deeper exploration of the larger cosmic implications could have added even more depth to the finale.
Despite these minor issues, “Hell Bent” is a fitting and thrilling conclusion to the series. Cate Corvin has crafted an ending that honors the emotional journey of her characters while delivering on the dark, seductive allure that fans have come to love. The heroine’s story is one of resilience, defiance, and empowerment, and this final book provides the closure that readers have been craving.
For fans of dark fantasy, steamy romance, and strong, complex characters, “Hell Bent” is a must-read. It’s a fast-paced, emotionally charged finale that ties up loose ends and leaves readers with a sense of satisfaction as the heroine claims her hard-earned victory. This series has been a wild ride from start to finish, and Corvin ends it on a high note, making “Hell Bent” a captivating, fiery conclusion to a memorable saga.

This one takes place primarily in Kur with Melisande at the mercy of its queen, let's just refer to her as Esk for short. Melisande got through her time in Kur okay, there was some torture and pain for her and her men per however Esk decided but everyone survives in the end. At one point, Esk chops off Melisande's wings but good for Melisande that she's becoming a goddess and gets new wings at the end. Surprisingly, Azazel is Esk's grandson and he's the one who ends up being the one who takes down Esk.
I don't quite buy the helpless that is Melisande's and Lucifer's and Belial's and Azazel's and Michael's plights in Mur. Esk is a monarch dictator and as such has that corrupted power thing going for her, but she's more tame than I'd have thought especially considering where she rules and our introduction to her in the last book. Melisande and crew were big and bad walking, talking, and slaying up to this book with Satan as the baddest boogeyman in the other books leading up to this one and they take him on but in the face of Esk, everyone comes out meek. Except Melisande in interactions with Satan, whom Melisande is boldest in the face of to the point that I didn't understand given that she's at a disadvantage. Speaking of Satan and his badassery, he's mild and under control which doesn't gel. At all. The explanation that Nergal is fighting back against Satan's possession of his body doesn't really tie it together for me either.
There's fighting and a few intimate scenes. Tascius grabs the holy spear and brings it to Melisande though not without cost to him in the doing. Melisande uses it on Lucifer and he's gone. She's almost overtaken by her newfound goddess powers after being bound by Esk's goddess sister and being gifted with those powers but Melisande is brought back down to earth by Azazel who became something more as well. Vayra and Haru made their way to Kur, allies to help Melisande get free from Esk. When it's all over, Melisande delivers her baby girl Sarai. The last few pages, though brief, were the cutest in the story which is when Sarai is in the picture and gets a hellhound puppy.
Please note: this rating and review ares based SOLELY on the story with the torture parts skimmed thru because I don't enjoy reading about characters I like being tortured.
Excellent, recommend!
The Good 1) World-building continued to be amazing 2) The retelling of Sumerian myths knocked it out of the park! 3) Settings continued to be well-depicted and really added a high level of ambience in this installment 4) Overreaching series arc ended in a gratifying manner 5) Female lead was still strong and entertaining 6) The story returned to being HER story 7) Allowed the lead female to be her rough and tough self even with baby onboard 8) Lead female's story arc ended in a stunning climax 9) Male leads stories ended in a satisfying manner 10) The smut continued to be engaging 11) Lucifer's final line:
Mixed 1) Vyra 2)
The Bad 1) While the torture did add to the story, upping the stakes and often moving the story, I feel there was too much of it 2) Ongoing strong positive female characters were never added 3) The only woman introduced to be in power
I really loved this series so now I am going to go try another of the author's series.
I will be totally honest when I say there were definitely times during this series where I felt leery about continuing due to minor rushed plots or plot holes that glared at me and made me scream at something a character didn’t do that they should have... BUT IT WAS ALL WORTH IT.
I fell in love with the characters from the very first book. The FMC was strong from the beginning but her transformation and growth was still obvious and heart wrenching. The same goes for all of her lovers. Each of them all had their own character arcs that made you fall in love with them even more (if that’s even possible). I never felt like one of the partners had more of her heart (or belonged with her more) than the others, which I find happens a lot when I read RH. They were all truly bonded to her and to one another.
While the eventual end of the story was mostly obvious from the beginning of this book, it took many twists and turns to get there yet still played out beautifully. I felt completely fulfilled when the story ended, knowing that a HEA definitely came to the City of Dis!
Now.... anyone else absolutely DYING to hear how Vyra ends up in an Adranos/Haru/Michael cuddle puddle?!?!? Because I know I AM!!!

Cate Corvin had made me such a happy reader with this series. I'm incredibly sad to see the end of Melisande and her group of guys, but what a ride this series has been!! I can't believe this was originally supposed to be a trilogy and am so glad that Corvin continued on and decided to add on an additional two books. This series literally pulls you in and doesn't let you go. Be prepared to quite possibly binge this set of books and then slump hopelessly when you finish. The world building is top notch and the characters are well thought out and easy to fall in love with, even if they each had their questionable moments. This book in particular really puts the characters through the ringer and you can truly see how strong their connections are to one another. There is a rollercoaster of emotions that you'll experience while reading, feeling fear for the characters in the more triggering scenarios and eventually hopefulness and happiness for their future. I'll definitely be coming back to this series in the future so I can experience this rush and feel all the feels that these books bring.
I am truly sad to see this series end I grew so attach to the characters. This final book was pretty intense. This book takes place in a different part of Hell where Satan escaped... to where the Queen of the Dead rules. If you that the Dragon was bad newsflash he was nothing compared to the Queen Ereshkigal. Melisande is same old loyal to the end risking everything to save Lucifer and Vera. However after freeing Vera Lucifer and Melisande are captured. Satan then presents Melisande to the Queen and she because her songbird held in a cage. This books is definitely different than the others in this series as we find Melisande has to bow and survive until her men arrive to save her. However as we see fate has different plans. Will Melisande and Lucifer survive and gain their freedom or will they fade away under Queen Ereshkigal's torment? Will her men reach her in time or will she finally break?
This book is definitely for Adults due to the multiple partner sex scenes, language, and violence.
Its done and I'm not happy about it. i loved this series i have a feeling this will be one of the series that i will reread over and over again.
Our girl is taken captive by Satan. Lucifer is pretty much on his death bed and there is no word from the rest of the group. this book was a little harder to get through. in the sense that it was darker than the others. i mean they are slaves for the entirety of the book.
i did love the nuances of the characters. My prediction that satan wouldn't be the focus of the story was right. i don't know how i feel about that. we had this big bad for 4 books and the last book he was basically a puppy dog chasing after Melisande. it was explained away nicely but i felt jipped.
this was a great conclusion to the story. i just didn't want it to end because i know i will miss all the characters.
i was hoping for a Vera story. I can already see what the story would be about and who her men are i count 3 so far.
Well damn, talk about a smash hit of an ending! I can't believe we've reached the end of Melisande's story, but what an amazing ride it's been! This series has had it all, a kick@ass, fierce FMC, intrigue, steam, twist and turns and a group that will go to the ends of the earth (or hell itself) for eachother!
Corvin delivers the caliber of ending this story deserved, and I am so glad she extended this series early on because there has been so much we would have missed out on if this had been only a trilogy! I really hope we see a spin off for a certain character, as well, because I absolutely adore her and she needs her story told, too!
5 stars for sure, for Hell Bent as well as the Razing Hell series as a whole! If you love PNR, Angels, Demons, mythology, strong FMCs and awesome world building, you wont regret picking up the Razing Hell series and reading to the very last pages of Hell Bent!
Melisande was being inane compared to all the other books. She was slow to grasp what she needed to do and seemed to fight it every step of the way.
Some parts I rolled my eyes and found myself wanting to skim over a few sections. This dragged a bit.
At the same time I have to take in consideration the duress, mildly put, she was under going.
This book was no less brutal than Book 4, very cringe worthy.
Finally Azazel’s story is told in full and Melisande’s fate is complete. Now we have everyone’s story.
The ending was great, love the Epilogue, thank you the author for not leaving is hanging.
Editing was wonderful throughout all 5 Books - THANK YOU!!! A few syntax errors, but compared most of t he slop delivered these days - this was exceptional editing - making for an enjoyable read.
Love love love!!! I can't believe this is it, the end of the Razing Hell series but man what a finish! Melisande has been such a fun character to get to know and love and she did not disappoint in this book. She is such a bada** who loves her family fiercely and will go to any length to save/protect them. The guys love her just as much.
I get all the feels from this book and the HEA it brings! The ending was everything Melisande and the guys deserved. Everything leaves us on a high while dropping some hints of Vyra possibly getting her own book (FINGERS CROSSED)!!
Hell bent is an easy 5 stars as well as the overall Razing Hell Series! If you love PNR and are looking for something that isn't your typical Angels and Demons these books are it for sure! Cate Corvin knocked these books right out of the park and I will happily read any books she comes out with!
I fell in love with this series pretty quickly. I loved how each one of the main characters mates had such different personalities. This series as a whole was amazing, but each book had different qualities that I loved. This book was no different. I was sad to see the series end, but also was dying to see what happens to the main characters. I loved how the author was able to put so much detail of the history of everything in the story. It’s hard for me to understand how someone can write such amazing detail. I fell in love with all the characters from the very beginning, so it was so fulfilling to read how their story ended. And what an ending it was. Hell Bent was beautifully written and I wish I could forget I read it just so that I can read it again ♥️
Oh. My. God. I cannot believe the series is done. I have been hanging onto my seat since I first picked up this series and I don't want it to end! Cate Corvin continues to deliver absolutely amazing books and series with characters who feel so real they could pop off the page, and worlds that you want to visit in a heartbeat. Mel has been captured with Lucifer and even though she's pregnant that isn't going to stop her. She picks herself up, dusts herself off, and jumps right back in. Does Mel take a few things too far and risk herself for the sake of her men? Yes, and while it made me cringe a couple times I wouldn't want her any other way! I laughed, I cried a bit, I was left gasping, and I would gladly jump back in. Enjoy the final installment of the Razing Hell series!
***I wish I could give this book more than 5 stars because it so deserves it***
Wow this ending was just killer!!! Melisande (FMC) and Lucifer are at the mercy of Queen Ereshkigal who uses every torturous and sadistic game she can think of against them. I loved how with everything happening to Mel she still managed to not let her get to her. Mel rose above it even when she found out about her baby. Queen Eveshkigal was a particularly vile character. More so with the addition of Satan. Which I couldn't work out his angle?? He kept me guessing until the end. I loved the ending. It was definitely the one it deserved to get but I'm just wondering will Vyra get her own book? With maybe a certain Kitsune and Angel in it? This book was just a brilliant read and a fantastic series too
The end of the RH series, and I wish you would continue the series!!! But this book did not disappoint. It was more than just smut, this had a great story line with Melisande and shows each mates story. The ending was well written and thought out. I am glad I started my new year on this book, I love Cate’s books, as the authors continues to release more books, her writing and the plots continues to get better. I am excited for the next series that she decides to write. This was an excellent way to end a series, though I wish I we could read more about future children, but that would be just fluff.. 5/5!! Will definitely add this to my reread list!
I really enjoyed this book, great series as the author kept me engaged all the way through. The characters were well written and all went on their own journey of self discovery and were not just side kicks to the main character. The world building and descriptions were so vivid I could easily picture Dis and Kur in my mind, the horrendous torment, torture and battle scenes. The hot sexy interludes provided welcome relief at times but I was never bored or indifferent. This was one of the best reverse harem series I have read. I would definitely recommend it to anyone but it is not for the faint of heart.
