ANYTHING HE WANTS: ATONEMENT by NY Times Bestselling Author Sara Fawkes Jeremiah and Lucy have been through the fire and barely escaped with their lives, but can their love survive the real world?
Sara Fawkes has always loved spinning tales, but her romantic roots come from sneaking her mother's old Johanna Lindsay books from the dresser drawer. She's been writing stories since she was a little girl (and has the home made books from preschool to prove it), and loves creating stories and characters and interesting messes for them to get into. An avid traveler and adventure motorcyclist, her dream job includes selling everything off and leaving civilization to see the world on two wheels, writing in cafes in each country she visits, and living off her writing. In the meantime however, she lives in California with her menagerie of pets and, when not writing, loves to rebuild old motorcycles/cars with her Dude and plays with the characters in her head. You can find her online talking about whatever strikes her fancy at:
Ok, I received an arc of this book for a review so here we go. Eight fantastic stories filled with romance, hot sex and love. I really enjoyed reading this and here is my little review of each one. YOURS TO TAKE by Cathryn Fox: Rebecca, a lawyer who likes to be in control, comes face to face with Quinn, a man from her past who is also a Dom, who shows her she is actually submissive. Bdsm and hot sex!! I would actually like to read a little more of this story, it was that good. YIELD TO ME by Sarah Castille: Marcy is a female MMA fighter who is being coached by Jax, who is also a Dom. He shows her that she is submissive but they have problems coming to an agreement in the ring. Bdsm and hot sex here too!! They both need to learn a little to get their ending. Loved it. COMPLETE ABANDON by Julia Kent: I really recommend you read the 4 Her Billionaires books and It's Complicated first as this is a continuation of that story with Laura, Mike and Dylan. Menage, bdsm and hot sex, oh yeah!! I loved this series and this was a bonus for me. THREE LITTLE WORDS by Lauren Hawkeye: Adele and Mal meet, have hot sex, then something goes wrong in their relationship. Two years later, they meet up again and the sparks are still there but she holds back still unsure. Then she meets Dorian, who happens to be Mal's roommate, and sparks fly between them. Hot sex between her and each guy and the fact that she feels safe with both of them makes her have a difficult time choosing. Throw in some scenes with a crazy cat and this was really good. Who does she choose?? Read the story. TAKEN BY STORM by Opal Carew: Jessica's car breaks down on the side of the road and is almost run over by Storm and his motorcycle. Always the conservative one, Jessica now has to decide if a romance with Storm is what she wants. He happens to be joining her brother's band for a few months and the girls throw themselves at him. She has to decide if it is worth taking a risk but so does he, even though they have some great sex together. HOW TO CHOOSE A COWBOY by Daire St. Denis: Tessa goes to a Dude ranch and gets to choose between 2 hot cowboys to have sex with for the weekend. They both are interested and pursue her. This was an interactive book, where you get to choose your ending. I actually read both ways and I loved them both. It was great. This one has hot sex, bdsm, ménage and some m/m action also. THE VAMPIRE DESIGN by Vivi Anna: Emily has been infatuated with the paintings of Xavier, a famous artist, for a long time. She gets a chance to go to Europe and maybe get to meet him. Well, she does, and he turns out to be a vampire. She is not scared like he thought she would be. We get some more hot sex and I am not going to tell you what else happens. You will need to read it to find out. But the story is really good and I love vampires. ANYTHING HE WANTS: ATONEMENT by Sara Fawkes: Jeremiah and Lucy have been together for a little while now. He takes her to a party at a sex club and it kind of shocks her. Their sex scenes are so awesome but lately he has been getting these phone calls at all different times and doesn't tell her what they are about. She feels like they are growing apart but there is more to this story than that. You just need to read the story and find out for yourself. Ok, I know I kind of repeated myself with the hot sex, but really, they were HOT. What can I say. Read this book!!
Received ARC for an honest review. These are wonderful short stories of brilliant authors that have come together to blow your mind. I know that my mind was blown.
Yours to Take by Cathryn Fox This is a hot and passionate tale of Rebbeca Andrews finally understanding why none of the guys she dated she actually kept seeing. Then we have Quinn Montgomery a billionaire dom that from the moment he met her in the courtroom he knew she was a submissive. Thinking she was going on the vacation her girlfriends had planned for her but Quinn has other plans for her at his summer home. This read enthralled me from the very beginning. I was able to connect to both characters and the sexual chemistry that they had was breath taking. Talk about smokin’ hot sex scenes that had me fanning myself. Yours to Take was well written and I know that I will be seeking out more reads from Ms. Fox.
Yield to Me by Sarah Castille This was an emotional read for me. Marcy was an amazing MMA fighter but something as holding her back. She was hiding a dark secret about herself and it seemed that the new coach, Jax, saw straight through her. Submitting is something she does not do well, not because she can’t but because of who she is. Jax is there to help her but things get a little hot and heavy between them that may cause a drift in her training. What can I say about Yield to Me but it was an exceptional read. The writing is clear and focused. The chemistry between Marcy and Jax is oh my god just HOT. While reading this story the emotions that were expressed felt so real, I felt as if I was there with them. I certainly had some tears rolling down my checks with Marcy’s speech to Jax. Ms. Castille you are an awesome author and will continue to read your books.
Complete Abandon by Julia Kent Laura, Mike and Dylan are characters that I need to know more about and will be reading their story along with their friends, Josie and Alex. I want to know how they became a couple, how they met. Now reading their novella with their precious Jillian it was sweet. The thoughts that Laura had are assumptions that almost every woman goes through after giving birth, they feel ugly how could their spouse actually find them attractive. I loved how Mike and Dylan reacted with her e-book choices and how they planned to get their marriage back on track with a little BDSM. One day in a secluded cabin with every imaginable sex toy, damn I need a Mike and Dylan. Wow, the connection I felt with the storyline of this book was breath taking. I love Ms. Kent’s writing style and how it captivated me. I can’t wait to read more of her books.
Three Little Words by Lauren Hawkeye I have to say that I truly enjoyed this story. I found myself smiling throughout the book and the storyline was interesting. Adele was an interesting character that piqued my interest. Her way of thinking but something happened that made her change. Mal needed not to care what his friends thought he should have followed her now that he has found her once again, can he get her to listen to him. Can he get her to trust him again? Now as for Dorian he was charming and wanted Adele but he knew something was going on between her and Mal. Was he willing to let go even though the chemistry was sizzling hot between them. He was starting to develop feeling for her and knew Mal had the same. Ms. Hawkeye writing style is good. There were a couple of mishaps but nothing that drew away my attention. I will be researching more of her books. Oops before I forget totally loved Humper the cat, LOL.
Taken by Storm by Opal Carew Well what can I say about this story besides that it was great. Jessica was a great character that seemed to blossom into a tigress that had some interesting dreams. Storm was a character that amazed me with his bad boy way. He was a man with a past that I want to know more about, it seemed that he was not close to his family. Then you have Jessica that has a loving brother then hearing what her mother did for her it was wonderful. Jessica took a big step in giving Storm a gift. Now what she needed to do was keep being who she became in this short amount of time not go back to the person she was. Ms. Carew has an amazing writing talent. This was a great short read that I believe can become something great. I would love to know more about them and see where their relationship goes.
How to Choose a Cowboy by Daire St. Denis Holy fricking cow was this read smokin’ hot. Tessa, Wade and Conner were great for one another. Tessa was into cowboys and there were two that she definitely could ride and ride she did. Wade was the dominate cowboy that had a kinky side to him that I know I loved. He was a passionate, dominating lover that had Tessa coming with his words only but there was just one kiss. Then of course there is Conner, the man that lived life to the fullest and why wouldn’t he after his story. Only I never would have thought that something was going on between both of them but then again Tessa was turned on by it. Ms. St. Denis is very creative when writing this story. I loved the characters and the chemistry that the characters shared was scorching hot. The writing was clear and focused. Now as for my ending I would have Tessa still leaving the ranch but after a couple of weeks finally making up her mind that she can’t live without them and home is with them on there ranch. Then of course they live happily ever after.
The Vampire Design by Vivi Anna Wow, this was an interesting paranormal story. I rarely read this type of genre but it was actually very good. I loved that Emily was able to find her gift of painting, it was burned very deeply in her but an experience with Xavier and it came to life. I loved that she did not freak out that he was a vampire and actually said the words, “bite me”. The sexual chemistry was holy crap hot, loved how Emily was able to lose herself in the moment. Ms. Anna has a very creative writing style and love the description of the setting of the story. I could really picture myself in Xavier’s castle. I will be researching Ms. Anna’s books and see which one I can start reading right away.
Anything He Wants: Atonement by Sara Fawkes This was a great insight to Anything He Wants Series and it intrigued me to see how Lucy and Jeremiah met. Lucy felt like she was losing Jeremiah but she had no clue what he has been doing behind her back. The surprise that was waiting for her would blow her mind and everything that she was feeling comes to an end. Lucy is even more in love with him and she makes a big step to their relationship. Ms. Fawkes writing is flawless and captivating. The characters are intriguing and the lifestyle that is very evident in Jeremiah is interesting. I look forward in starting at the very beginning of how Lucy and Jeremiah became a couple.
Unraveled Box Set had some awesome short stories and novellas that that has given me even more authors to follow. I will be researching these authors and seeing what else they have published. They have amazing talents that readers will find captivating. This is definitely a box set that should be read by everyone. There is a little bit for every reader. Amazing job to all the authors that put a little piece into this fabulous read.
Overall – this is a really good value box set, and definitely gives the reader an opportunity to discover some new authors, or read more from old favourites. I enjoyed each one, as there was a good range and plenty of enticing, well written stories.
Yours to Take – Cathryn Fox
The strong in control woman who is given an opportunity to discover her submissive nature, gives rise to an adventure that ensures that the reader is treated to a hot steamy ride. I would happily have read a longer story, but what there is I enjoyed a lot.
Yield to Me – Sarah Castille
An MMA tale about a talented female fighter and her new coach. He has found her weakness and has to decide just how far he can go to cure the problem without spoiling her other skills. It is a fight between two strong characters and the outcome is not guaranteed. A bout of escapism you will be glad you entered the ring to enjoy.
Complete Abandon – Julia Kent
This is a follow on story and you will love it if you recognise the characters – however I believe you could read it as a stand-alone and still enjoy it very much. I would expect you to want to go back and find out the back story – and I do not think the experience would be spoiled. If like me you prefer to read things in order, then hurry off and come back here as soon as you have!
The story is well written, and very engaging. If you like to have a story to surround your steamy reading, this should hit the mark.
Three Little Words – Lauren Hawkeye
I really enjoyed this story, and although it ends in a good place, I definitely wanted to know more. That is for me the sign of a good story – one that leaves the door open for my imagination to take it further… The premise of the story is good, and I particularly liked the twist towards the end, which for me made it even hotter.
Taken by Storm – Opal Carew
Storm, minor rock god, plays his role well in this tale. The main characters’ inner voices are used to good effect in this sweet, hot short story. Escapism at its finest. Enjoy.
How to Choose a Cowboy – Daire St Denis
I enjoyed this so much, I immediately had to go and read the next one! I love a strong female character, and one who can enjoy herself so freely is particularly appealing. The encounters are hot and much more meaningful than one might first expect. Definitely hot under the collar (and elsewhere) reading.
The Vampire Design – Vivi Anna
A well woven little tale which gives enough character detail to be fun. I was surprised how quickly I cared about the main protagonist and was invested in the success of her project. I would love to know what happens next!
Anything He Wants – Atonement – Sara Fawkes
This novella will undoubtedly appeal to fans of Jeremiah and Lucy – but stands alone too. There is enough detail to appeal to the new reader too, who may well be tempted to go back to the beginning of the story. The writing is good, the plot is good and the writing is hot. The question of whether those behind mirrored glass are really invisible from the outside is one that I have considered many times myself, but for much less sexy reasons!!

PLOT: 4 CHARACTERS: 4 COVER: 4
OVERALL RATING: 4
Another awesome boxed set! Reading books has been my addiction since time memorial but sometimes it's hard to buy books when you're a fast reader. So this box set really fits me well.
YOURS TO TAKE By: Cathryn Fox
"I love the way you take care of me,” she said quietly.
“Good, because I don’t ever plan to stop.”
The story was hot and delicious since the characters are basically stranded on an island and they only have each other to keep them entertained. Though in some parts I find it lacking.
YIELD TO ME by Sarah Castille "I would rather love you and lose you than never have had the chance to love you at all.”
Marcy an MMA fighter tries to suppress her hidden submissive nature but when her new coach realized her true nature, hotness ensues.
COMPLETE ABANDON By: Julia Kent
This is book is a novella for Her First Billionaire. Though it is really not necessary for you to read the previous novels, it would be a lot more fun if you did. So you would know all their background.
THREE LITTLE WORDS By: Lauren Hawkeye
Controversies, love and sex. This book was very good for a short story. Even though there are some stuff that I would have liked to know they were not that necessary. So it really turned out to be a great read.
TAKEN BY STORM by Opal Carew
Jessica and Storm. One of the most imperfectly perfect couples that I have read. Hotness: 5 Plot: 4
HOW TO CHOOSE A COWBOY by Daire St. Denis
One cowboy is great but two cowboys is perfect. The relationship between the three of them was so good though the ending left me wanting for more.
THE VAMPIRE DESIGN by Vivi Anna The story was short but fun. Though there were not many details it was still good considering that it was very short.
ANYTHING HE WANTS: ATONEMENT by: Sara Fawkes
This book is a sequel of a book I last read which I forgot the title but it was also from Sara Fawkes. It is a bit hard to understand the plot if you havenn't read the previous books but it is still really good.
Loved this anthology. My favorites were COMPLETE ABANDON by Julia Kent, YIELD TO ME by Sarah Castille, and THREE LITTLE WORDS by Lauren Hawkeye.
I've been a fan of Ms. Kent since I purchased 'Maliciously Obedient'. COMPLETE ABANDON was a continuation of the 'Her Billionaires' series and 'It's Complicated'. It was great to 'check in' with those characters.
Sarah Castille's story, YIELD TO ME, had the right amount of angst along with a little BDSM. I'm looking forward to reading more books by this author.
THREE LITTLE WORDS by Lauren Hawkeye was told from the alternating points of view of the three main characters - Adele, Mal and Dorian. I liked this story so much, I'm hoping for a sequel.
If any one of the eight stories in this anthology was priced at 99 cents, it would be a bargain. All eight at that price is a STEAL!
I bought this compilation of erotic reads for Julia Kent's COMPLETE ABANDON; knowing I would love the book. I am never disappointed with her writing and certainly was not here.
The reason I recommend UNRAVELED - herein lies an opportunity to get to know the writing style of not only Ms. Kent but 8 best selling authors in the erotic romance genre.
I cannot imagine this price will last long so take this opportunity to indulge in some well written steamy writing by some of the newest and greatest erotic authors today.
Well ladies, time to just admit you are naughty and ask Santa for this steamy set of wildly erotic stories. My personal preference was for the longer stories, it is just easier to feel involved with the characters when the story has more detail. My favourite would be Lauren Hawkeye's "Three Little Words". The character development made me care about Mal and Adele and when Dorian made his sexy entrance I found myself believing in the three of them (in and out of bed).
"How to Choose a Cowboy" was hot enough to make me consider a dude ranch for my next vacation!
AMAZING....This box set has some outstanding authors at a great price!! Move over Christian Gray I just found a few new book boyfriends!! HOT HOT HOT!!! Couldn't stop reading and finished in one sitting. NEED MORE NOW!! The set offered something for everybody all for just 99 pennies.
1.5 stars Originally read in 2013. All the stories are shorts or novellas/prequels.
Overall only stories 1, 4, and 6 were really any good, and that’s due to their sex scenes.
Story 1: Yours to Take, Cathryn Fox Erotic romance serial part one. Rebecca the lawyer is essentially kidnapped by CEO Quinn when her friends send her to a sex resort for the weekend. She previously won a court case against his company. Thought this was a stand-alone erotic romance novella but it looks like it’s part 1 of 3. Was okay overall, Quinn recognises Rebecca as a sub (he is a dom), she’s never been satisfied in any of her relationships. Was an okay story. Sex scenes included: spanking, dirty talk, praise, blowjob, exhibitionism, a HOT fingering scene, creampie, aftercare, bathing each other, ass play, anal. There was sadly an instance of panty-ripping haha. 1.5 stars
Story 2: Yield To Me, Sarah Castile. Erotic romance novella. MMA fighter Marcy has a new coach Jax who is a dom and recognises her as a sub. Boring, and the sex scenes weren’t hot. Sex scenes included: hickeys, eating her out, fingering, spanking, and him wanking. Not worth reading.
Story 3: Complete Abandon, Julia Kent. Erotic romance novella 5.1 Laura has had a baby and feels too fat for sex (she’s bbw) with the extra baby weight. Her men discover her e-reader where she’s been reading mostly bdsm stuff all day so they want to recreate those scenes with her. Bestie Josie and boyfriend Alex also feature. Josie is a bit annoying for me. Novella seems fine but clearly it’s not meant to be read as a standalone - don’t think I like the premise enough to go and read the rest. First book in the series is actually free but this doesn’t draw me in enough to read it. Sex scenes included: blowjob, eating her out, fingering, ass play (dildo), sex swing, vibrator/sex toys, double penetration. Was okay but wouldn’t read again. 1.5 stars
Story 4: Three Little Words, Lauren Hawkeye. TW: past sexual assault/abuse Mal and Adele’s second chance romance - except there’s now a third. Wasn’t good. Adele doesn’t know the difference between a British and an Australian accent? Sorry how could you even mix them up?? Dorian’s “Aussie” POV is atrocious, whyyy is he saying Sheila nonstop. I get that Adele is meant to have a “connection” with both guys but 2 years where she seemingly hasn’t even felt a flicker of anything and now suddenly in one night she’s good to go twice? Dorian is initially the one happy to introduce a non-standard set-up (although there had definitely been a little tension between him and Mal since their first meeting). Adele feels comfortable having sex again with Mal cus she knows him, he holds back and makes it about her pleasure… so the next day she fucks Dorian who she doesn’t know… hmm. Author tried to tell a story but doesn’t really land, teases MFM to MMF storyline later. Dorian is meant to be dom (not heavily into the lifestyle itself) but that doesn’t really go anywhere. Sex scenes included: MF first - a little biting, grinding against his naked cock! dirty talk, bondage. MFM scenes included: eating her out, fingering her whilst the other holds her, mmc2 touches FMC clit/mmc1 cock. We sadly have some panty ripping in the wild! Wasn’t great. 1.5 stars
Story 5: Taken by Storm, Opal Carew. Erotic romance prequel novella for a 5 part serial. Storm is the new guitarist in town, joining Jessica’s brother’s band. She seems to have a case of insta-love for him and his massive cock. This seems to be a backstory for the main story involving these characters. There isn’t really much going on. Hints of Storm’s past, that’s it. She tells him of a dream she had where they had a threesome so creates a scene where she has a dildo in her mouth/ass whilst he fucks her. Other sex included: blowjob, eating her out, ass play, dildos. Wasn’t really much to it, not worth reading.
Story 6: How to Choose a Cowboy, Daire St. Denis. Cowboy retreat weekend for Tessa the pansexual who doesn’t believe in monogamy and just likes sex. There is no plot here, just sex. It’s an interactive YOU choose story (which I juts find annoying - you read both anyway). Considering how open Tessa is about all things sex it was a bit contrived how she seemed to be feeling guilty over wanting both Wade and Connor. Wade is utterly dominant. Connor is his lover, and they are both in open bisexual relationship. Sex scenes included: fingering herself while he watches, dirty talk, blowjob, spanking (hand/crop), eating her out, bondage, ass play/butt plug. Turns into MFM anal spit roast, cum play. Then Tessa watches MM anal sex, joins in with a handjob/ass play for each, then spanks her own pussy. Alternate scene also included: cock rubbing her nipples, rimming, double penetration. Sex scenes were okay, 2 stars.
Story 7: Vampire Design, Vivi Anna. Erotic vampire short. Emily is travelling across Europe for the summer with her friends, wanting to meet Xavier the artist she admires - who happens to be a 300 year old vampire and they fall in love immediately. Sex scenes included: her wanking in front of him, biting/hickeys, eating her out, fingering. Not worth reading, nothing to it.
Story 8: Anything He Wants part 10, Sara Fawkes. This is the final instalment of a 10 part erotic romance series. Not actually much happening aside from a marriage proposal. Sex scenes included: d/s, voyeurism/exhibitionism, eating her out, fingering, bondage, anal. Not worth reading.
UNRAVELED BOXSET (VARIOUS WRITERS) 3.5 out of 5 star rating Reviewed by Nicole McCurdy for Bex 'n' Books
Unraveled is actually eight standalone tales of live-in threesomes, Dom/sub relationships, hot rockers, rowdy cowboys and MMA sex-on-leg fighters. I honestly wasn’t sure if it deserved a thumbs up or down, based purely on the fact that some of the eight short stories are steamy and exciting while others are fairly lacklsutre in characterisation, and plot. Don’t get me wrong, Unraveled is pretty much erotica at its finest but there are too many clichés littering it’s pages.
The first one that comes to mind is Yours to Take by Cathryn Fox. There are only so many engaging ways to write about the narcissistic multimillionaire dom showing the sexually repressed good girl how much fun being spanked and bossed around is, before it grows stale and the template desperately overused. “Everything that happens here, every choice involving you is mine to make, not yours.” Quinn simply comes off as a spoilt egotist rather than an alluring leading man and Rebecca- the sub to his dom, a unintelligent drip. Who in reality has the type of friends that pack you off to a sex camp with strangers on some deserted middle-of-the-Atlantic island simply because she needed ‘to get laid’? Hit up a pub like the rest of us. I found Cathryn Fox’s take on the dom/sub roles to be rather dull. There’s very little thought put into the plot, it was almost like the writer decided to add filler to the sex scenes.
Next up was Yield to Me by Sarah Castille. A terrific story about a female MMA fighter Marcy and her trainer Jax (even his name is sexy to say). It was so refreshing to read this take on one of my favourite sub-genres. The characters are brilliant, Marcy sassy and Jax dominant and for such a short story Sarah Castille manages to pack a passionate punch to the ovaries. The sexual tension she builds between the two main characters is stifling, you’re anticipating every word between them, every touch, every grapple on the mat that isn’t always so professional…phew! Muy caliente!
The third story was another miss for me. Complete Abandon by Julia Kent. As shocking as it may be, even after devouring all Sylvia Day and E.L James sex manuals (I’ll deny that fact to my mother until my dying day), I’ve never read anything where there were two main male leads Mike and Dylan to the one female, Laura. I expected it to be sweaty, explosive and kinky as all get out, instead it seemed to be more about Laura and her post-baby blues and the fact her e-reader is stroked more times than the poor sexually-deserted men she’s lusting with. There was little to no eroticism in the story, the one thing that might have redeemed it. I would have enjoyed it a lot more had I read the other books that these characters appear in, simply to better understand them but Complete Abandon was not for me. “Because Laura, we’re the ones who should be your book boyfriends,” No. No they shouldn’t.
Three Little Words by Lauren Hawkeye. Okay confession time here. I have been a huge fan of Lauren Hawkeye a.k.a Kate Laurens for a long time, ever since her Safe Haven books made their debut so I was excited to see her name listed in this anthology. I was pleased even more by the fact that this threesome tale rocked my bobby socks off. A witty tattooed nursing student, an Ivy League-destined good boy and an alluring Australian rocker find themselves in an almost reluctant menage a trois, and what girl doesn’t want to hear those seven little words… “What if you didn’t have to choose?” While Mal was a bit preppy and snobbish for my liking, he sure seemed to know how to make a girl squirm. I found myself salivating more over Aussie ‘authoritarian in the bedroom’ Dorian and as he quite succinctly put it, “There’s a pervert in all of us, mate. Some just hide it better than others.” Definitely worth a read and that’s not me being biased as a fan of Lauren Hawkeye either…Well maybe a smidgen.
Taken by Storm by Opal Crew. Motorcycle riding rocker gods named Storm burn up the pages of this one. Enough said. The type of man a girl could alter her strict moral code of no sleeping with strangers for? Definitely. This story although full of mind-blowing sexual imagery is on the softer sweeter side. No dungeons with racks or chains or floggers lining the walls. No, two penis to one vagina ratio. Just pure male libido and talent, no toys or kink needed. Although most of the other stories in this anthology don’t really deal with love, this one tackles it nicely and that warmed the cockles of my heart. Best of both worlds, eroticism and love mixed into a rock-star story with a H.E.A.
How to Choose a Cowboy by Daire St. Denis The word cowboy to me is synonymous with tight Wranglers, Stetson hats and a blade of grass being chewed between perfectly white teeth, while six-foot-four of sweaty unadulterated muscle relaxes up against the fence while horses prance by so Daire St. Denis and his tale of Marlboro man Wade, city girl Tessa and fun lovin’ Connor hit the spot here. Wade has a penchant for dirty talk and Tessa’s getting all his words! Loved him in this tale of Lust at the Lazy L dude ranch. Connor was totally lickable too and this is where I was sure I was going to find a giant neon flashing sign ‘threesome up ahead, proceed with caution’; however, I was wonderfully misled. Daire St. Denis has devised an interactive story where you the reader get to decide whom our fair, frisky damsel ends up roped to (pun intended). Wonderful idea, especially since there isn’t really an either/or finale. Erotically charged writing in a glorious setting. I have now decided I like my spankings and bondage with a little cowboy (or two) on the side. Much more fulfilling than grumpy billionaires.
The Vampire Design by Vivi Anna At twenty-eight years old, there’s something just a little bit embarrassing about reading vampire erotica or werewolf wonderboys ravishing the heroine on a forest floor, but by gods do I love them! In this story, Emily is back-packing round Europe with her friends and a famous artist-obsession to keep her company. The artist in question Xavier deals in erotic art, one of his better known paintings simply called O, that of a woman in orgasm. Like most woman Xavier has led the world to believe he is a little younger than his actual three-hundred plus years. To me, vampiric connotations are heavily laden with sexuality anyway, blood, lust, edgy sensuality, so I had high expectations for Vivi Anna’s story. When you add in a European vampire artist who paints women right as they orgasm I knew this tale was going to live up to expectations. I wasn’t wrong. Lavish with sexy imagery and even hotter language you can’t help but enjoy it. A simple tale of vampire and human sex but effective. You’ll be begging your other half to start role playing with a pair of pointy falsies.
Last but not least Anything He Wants 10: Atonement by Sara Hawkes. Well now…this one ups the ante a bit on the whole BDSM scene. A mansion of iniquity where men crawl around collared, chained and wearing only loincloths. Where other men serve appetisers wearing nothing but a loincloth and a latex gimp mask and girls who dangle from the ceiling ensnared in rope and the skin they were born in. All this happens within the first couple of pages, so for the love of all that is good, do not lend this book to your grandmothers. Like the man himself, Jeremiah says at the start “If you’re not the least bit intrigued, we can leave now.” It was a fairly average read. If you’re okay without any background knowledge of these people or why this sort of kinkery interests them and all you want is to read a very naughty tale of sadomasochism then this is the one for you. Not so much me. I like a bit of character knowledge to go with my kinky.
Unraveled is an eclectic selection of every bored housewives’ innermost scandalous fantasies. Some of the stories were worth the read and I would consider looking into more of their work, others I felt were just following a template and lacked originality. Overall, though it was a good collection of stories for an erotic anthology.
Such a controlled young woman, she had fought hard to be where she’s at, a lawyer and a good one. In the courtroom Rebecca is relentless, outside of the courtroom she has no social life there is nothing in Rebecca’s life that she isn’t controlling. Quinn’s owns a multi-million dollar company which by means of a sassy lawyer, has to pay a pretty hefty amount money for damages..ect.. to Rebecca’s client. In the courtroom they meet, and both are set off kilter.
Well meaning friends of Rebecca’s think she works to much, and without her knowledge sets her up for a weekend trip to a sex club. Quinn sees her name on the passenger list of one of the planes his company owns. Quinn being controlling and used to getting what he wants goes about rearranging not only his life but Rebecca’s as well. That will no doubt set all kinds of thing a blaze, but is it true anger that Rebecca feels or a hidden passion. He gives her the option to leave, will she?
I really enjoyed this book, the only negative I can say is that it was way too short. Some BDSM, some controlling alpha like behavior, some stomp foot border line brat sub behavior. Some really hot sex behavior. We Quinn and Rebecca fill each others needs? One to dominate one to be dominated….

YIELD TO ME by Sarah Castille
Jax and Marcy, coach and fighter. We know first off (sniffs) we don’t mix work with fun. Both a coach and the fighter needs to stay focused. With Jax and Marcy that was left at the way side. Both have their own little dramatic issues in their life, a lot of reason that one is hiding the other one is running. Jax needs to train Marcy for the upcoming fight to place state. After he has his body wrapped around her, his entire thought process is taking serious hits and Marcy isn’t fairing any better. The fact that this was about a female MMA fighter was awesome and intriguing. (MMA fan that I am). All through the sex scenes were smoking, the BDSM add to it just hot. Loved the spanking… It was a good quick read, I enjoyed it though.

COMPLETE ABANDON by Julia Kent
First time mom blues. Any mom out there will fell her blues. Well the dads also, in this story everyone is a bit at a lost after their baby is born. The only one getting any attention is the baby (smiles). Mom is doubting herself, the dads are seriously going without. The males find out that beside their new baby, Laura’s ereader is getting some attention. Laura she uses her ereader to escape into her fantasy world of giving up a bit of control and how much she thinks she’d enjoy it.
A short little love story, that as part of this book was a good read. If it would have been a longer read, Id have liked to see how the baby was taken care of, after all the rest was settled.

THREE LITTLE WORDS by Lauren Hawkeye
Wow what a surprise. A m-f-m menage, with each participant dealing with past issues. A lead singer, a lawyer, and a coffee house worker. All very unlikely pair, as short as the story is I was completely blown away by its content. Written in a way that was concise but flowed well and made since. Give Ms Hawkeye a round of applause, not many can write a short that is well detailed. Dorian just rocked! Without his way of thinking well… smiles, Mal being the stronger of the two and Adele just showed a lot of spunk. By the way Id have smacked her co-worker if I was there.. just saying. The very good story mixed with a few hot bed scenes.. Id have loved to see where this would have headed if it was a full length novel.

I should have handed Jessica a book of dreams..(smiles.) A straight and narrow kinda girl, a biker and we all know the rep a biker has., storm is no different. Storm will test Jessica’s fortitude by showing her a different level of “living”, will she become a different type of woman full of passion and energy? It will all start on a night in a Storm and Jessica gets wet in more than one way…

How to Choose a Cowboy by Daire St. Denis
Brava Ms. Denis now Ill have to go find other books that you wrote. (smiles) I really enjoyed the story and the characters. If it was a full length book I wouldn’t have had a problem reading it through. Tessa has to be one of the most honest women, Ice had the pleasure to meet. Why because she is honest with herself, knowing how she is, and what she wants. She doesn’t shy away from what she needs, she embraces it. Wade is level head if not stubborn sexy cowboy, Connor is the direct opposite sexy cowboy. Tessa is on a weekend vacation and she plans on getting her freak on, and its time to tell the men to .. cowboy up.

The Vampire Design by Vivi Anna
Short and sweet, a painter bound and determined to meet the one artists she looks up to, and when she does he taps into her passion and not just for art. Emily works hard, and goes to art school. Meeting Xavier is more than a dream come true, will she leave the passion behind or will she risk it all and stay.
For the length the book was good, I could be biased by the love of vampires. The story and both Emily and Xavier meshed well.

Anything He Wants by Sara Fawkes
Almost like a rags to riches or a Cinderella story gone naughty. (smiles) A rich CEO falls for a girl on the other-side of the tracks, A wicked witch of a mother and a job forever busy. For Lucy and Jeremiah communication isn’t at its finest and they will really need to fix that. He works a lot and she’s alone a lot lately. Her friends do some charity work out of country, and Lucy is thinking maybe she needs to follow them. A decent little love story.

By all that is good and awesome in the world, I was given a free copy by one of the authors in exchange for a fair and honest reviewalright. To work!
Yours to take Cathryn Fox
Is it okay to say Im a little tired of women not knowing their submissive? In ??? smexy pilot Quinn is a Dom who just knows lawyer Rebecca is submissive. Naturally she doesnt. Naturally hes uber wealthy and instead of flying her to her destination, he jets her off to his own little beach cove/island hideaway and spanks her sweet patootie. I know it sounds like I didnt enjoy the story. I did. I even had a clench in my chest at the end of their weekend. Im just a little tired of the unknowing submissive trope. And Im totally hoping there arent more of these to come. This was a cut, rather sweet but sexy Dom/sub story. No ones tied up (pity), theres just a little spanky (pity) and anal sex and yet none of that detracts away from the fact that this was really sweetwell as sweet as a Dom/sub story can get.
Yield to Me by Sarah Castille
Pre-reading: No lieIm so looking forward to reading this because I loved loved loooooved her Against the Ropes. Please please please have MMA. *crosses fingers and readily admits she did not read any of the premises before delving into this boxset*
After reading: OkayI loved the opening banter between Marcy and Jax and kinda wished the innuendo-type rhythm had stayed between them, unfortunately after their first practice together that was missing. I actually cried in this one. Something about Marcy tugged at my heart strings. I wanted this story to be longer because I love the MMA world Sarah Castille creates, but I also wished the characters had kept that opening banter and yet I know a novella cant be carried on that. Theres not enough space so I accept that, with a sad pout while still being utterly emotionally punched in the gut.
Complete Abandon by Julia Kent
I loved the concept a couple (trio) regaining their sex life after the birth of a child but this didnt work for me because this was clearly an epilogue for two of the authors series but I didnt know the characters without having read the other series, which means this girl needs to go catch up.
Three Little Words by Lauren Hawkeye
This felt like a really long story. And I dont mean that in a bad. There was a lot packed into this. Mal & Adeles past relationship, Mal & Adeles present relationship, Dorian & Adeles relationship and even Mal & Dorians relationship, plus Adeles past. Im astounded so much was woven into a short novella. Seriouslyhow did she do this? Its like she sprinkled magic author pixie dust or something. I rather enjoyed this. Okay. I really enjoyed this.
Taken by Storm by Opal Carew
This was a short, fast read. Really fast. Her car breaks down on an empty road in the dark, hes a bad boy rocker (though he doesnt call himself that) whos driving into her town and he picks her up. Turns out hes in her brothers band. Third time they see each other theyre in bed and thats pretty much where they remain for the duration of the story. I felt a little bombarded with the word c*cklikeexcessively so to the point where I was counting them and by Jess description of him I pictured Dirk Digglers ginormous absurdity from Boogie Nights (not something an erotic romance author should aim for.) Not a lot of conflict but I dont know if it needed it. Storm and Jess werewellsweet. I wished it had been a little longer with more happening beyond the sex but heythats just me.
How to Choose A Cowboy by Daire St. Denis
Yeee.haw.
This is a prequel to How to Break a Cowboy. Havent read ityet. About to because I am in love love love with Wade and Connor. I wanna be the cream in their cowboy Oreo cookie. I liked Tessa but man alivethose men. Giddy up its time to cowboy up. Twice. Ohdid I mention this was a choose your own super sexy ending story? No? Oops.
The Vampire Design by Vivi Anna
I love Vivi Annas vampire novellas. Theyre so sexy! And The Vampire Design is too. This was an easy, sexy read with artist obsessed student, Emily, traveling to Europe to find Xavier and find him she does. *fans self* I really enjoyed this one to the point where I wanted it longer.
Anything He Wants: Atonement by Sara Fawkes
This one is also part of a series a serial actually, that I havent read and yet, unlike Complete Abandon, this felt like a stand alone. Yes, I didnt know Lucy and Jeremiah but I got to know them. I wasnt confused by any of the characters who were explained. I found myself actually wanting to read the previous installments but there are so many Im crossing my fingers for a box set at some point. I rather loved this couple. So while this is part of a series, truly you dont need to have read any of the previous installments and thats always a good thing.
Yours To Take - Cathryn Fox Yield To Me - Sarah Castille Complete Abandon - Julia Kent Three Little Words - Lauren Hawkeye Taken by Storm - Opel Carew How To Choose A Cowboy - Daire St. Denis The Vampire Design - Vivi Anna Atonement - Sara Fawkes
This was a sweet short story. It had a lot of potential to be longer. However, in the short story, Cathryn Fox managed to bring us some hot times.
Yield to Me by Sarah Castille
I have a new found love for MMA stories. This time we have a female MMA fighter and this was one HOT story! Marcy is trying to go pro in the MMA world. Jax has been hired to help her. She’s a sexual submissive and he’s a Dom. Only in the world of MMA, submitting isn’t what it’s about. I loved this short story. It was hot and it was emotional. Sarah Castille managed to make me feel so much for these characters in such a short time.
Complete Abandon by Julia Kent
Did not read this story. It’s a continuation of Her Billionaire’s Boxed Set, Random Acts of Crazy and It’s Complicated. Author’s not informed me we would understand the story more if we’ve read those. I’ve read none of them, so I skipped it.
Three Little Words by Lauren Hawkeye
This was an interesting tell about second chances, redemption and finding love wherever and however you can. Lauren Hawkeye packed a lot of emotion and depth into this story.
Taken by Storm by Opal Carew
Easy going read. Not any angst. Small town girl falls for bad-boy rocker. She’s cautious and he’s….NOT. It was a cute romance. Very straightforward and fun to read.
How to Choose a Cowboy by Daire St. Denis
This is my second Daire St. Denis book. I enjoyed the read. It was short and sexy. It’s touted as an interactive, choose your destiny book. I was expecting more choices than I was given, so I was a bit disappointed in that.
The Vampire Design
I have several Vivi Anna books on my TBR and this just made me bump them up the list! It was short but packed full of a sexy vampire! I loved it and I was wishing it was longer!
Anything He Wants: Atonement
This is a follow up to Anything He Wants. I really wish I had read the rest of the series first. There are obviously things that happened in those stories that impacted some of the happenings in this one. That being said, it just made me want to read those stories, RIGHT NOW! This was a hot short story and I loved it!
I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I read it in one sitting it is that good where I didn't put it down till I finished. Ms Julia Kent I can't wait for more of Mike, Dylan, and Laura because the way you wrote this one and how sexy and funny it was I need more. I love how they love her so much even with her after baby weight because I know I was self conscious after having my son and my fiancé loved me the way the guys love Laura. But how do you leave us hanging on how they work with the BDSM toys together.
Three Little Words is so amazing it broke my heart for what Adele went through but I love how she grew strength through the book. The guys Mel and Dorian who except her together because neither can't let her go. Mel knew he lost out when he let her slip away from her in college and fights to get her trust back. Dorian is straight forward and just tells her what he wants. It's just so great you will love it no question about it.
Taken By Storm another great book. Jessica very independent where he car breaks down and tries to walk back into town on a street that is dark and has no cell service and since she can't walk on the road because she has a chance of getting hit since it's dark. The side of the road is gravel and she is wearing heals and you women know your feet would be raw walking miles to town on gravel. She almost gets hit by the sexy rock star Storm he offers her a ride on his motorcycle which she declines at first she's not a risk taker but thinking about it she takes it and she loves it. When she finds out he just moved to town and is the new guitarist for her brothers band. He ask to give him a chance what lady wouldn't take the chance regardless knowing how long he will be staying in town. If he lights your insides on fire by just a look you take it.
These books just get better and better I'm a huge fan of these authors I didn't know about and I thank Julia Kent too showing me toward them.
Sara Fawkes - Anything He Wants : Atonement Julia Kent - Complete Abandon Opal Carew - Taken By Storm Vivi Anna - The Vampire Design Sarah Castille - Yield to Me Cathryn Fox - Yours to Take Lauren Hawkeye - Three Little Words Daire St. Denis - How to Chose a Cowboy
Going in reading this box set, I was mostly unfamiliar with these authors, except for Julia Kent. I have read her Billionaires series and was surprised to find a continuation of those books in Complete Abandon.
This box set covers a wide range of Alpha Males: cowboy, billionaire, musician, vampire, timid lawyer-type-turned-hot, and a little freaky alpha male, rock star (more famous that just an amazing musician), determined lawyer, and fighter. How could you go wrong with that, right?!
Well, you can't really go wrong with this box set. The stories are really well written and suck you in fast, and they leave you wanting to know more! I sometimes love a short quick read that ties you all up and leaves you satisfied. But these authors really left me wanting more simply because the stories they told were just THAT GOOD! They let you identify with the characters, which is a good thing. I just found myself wanting to know more about their stories and how they would progress in the long haul...... But that's just me and how I roll! LOL
I don't want to give too much about this set since the stories are shorter and giving away too many details would spoil the read for you. I can say that each of those alpha males will really grab you and make you say, 'yes, please!'
After sampling the writings of these amazing authors, I can't wait to read more of what they have to offer! But, as for what happens in the books.... I'll never tell!
Some stories ("Yours to Take", "Yield to Me") were decidedly better than others. I DNF'd several ("Complete Abandon", "Three Little Words", "Taken by Storm" & "The Vampire Design"), for not liking the POV switching, for not capturing my attention and being in need of some polish, or being outright poorly written--in that order.
I enjoyed the authorial voice in "How to Choose a Cowboy", but since I'm a big HEA fan (I'll settle, sometimes, for a HFN ending), I wasn't thrilled with the ending. Not that it was sad, it totally wasn't. I suppose an argument could be made that it sort of is a HFN ending, but it's not a HFN ending in my book. I'd read more by Daire St. Denis, but probably not from this particular series. Also, I kinda dug the choose your own adventure trick. Not something I'd want for all my reading, but fun on occasion!
Also liked the voice in "Anything He Wants 10: Atonement", but had some problems with it. One, I'm not entirely sure there was an editor involved, and that's always an issue for me. Two, I'm not sure what atonement had to do with anything in the story. Three, I didn't really get involved with the characters. For certain, some of that disconnect is that this is part of a series I'm totally in the dark about. There was nothing to connect to emotionally with the characters in this short story, though, and that's a failing.
Anyway, this anthology was a total mixed bag for me, as I've found most anthologies to be. I've found a few new-to-me authors to check out, and that's not anything to complain about.
I had the privilege of receiving a ARC copy of this box set from Julia Kent. The fact that there were 8 stories by 8 authors to be sold at 99 cents peaked my interest even before receiving it. I've read all of Julia Kent's Billionaire series and enjoyed them all - included in this box set is her novella "Complete Abandon" it gives us insight on the lives of Dylan, Mike and Laura 6 months after the birth of Jillian. Their lives are not as they expected ...this book shows how Laura struggled with being a mother and wanting to be perfect for her guys! Alex and Josie make an appearance as well..being as sarcastic and funny as always. Mike and Dylan will do anything they can to get their lives back to they way they were before the birth of Jillian - there are some funny scenes in this book oh yeah and one that involved and eco-friendly cabin, some wine and a swing. I do recommend that before you read this novella you should read the entire Billionaire series and It's Complicated to have Complete Abandon make sense. Well done Julia Kent.
$.99 for 8 steamy romances? That's a no brainer folks! This boxed set has a little bit of everything, and it's all HOT! What do your tastes run toward? Doms? Cowboys? Vampires? Rockers? Well this book has them all, and the stories are so well written. This is really a great bunch of authors that has been assembled here in this book. And did I mention these stories were HOT? Each one will grab your attention, and you'll be hard pressed to put it down until you're finished.
Truth be told, I would have purchased this book for "Complete Abandon" by Julia Kent all on it's own. It's been awhile since the billionaire books and I was jonesing for some Laura/Mike/Dylan action... and then to have a little Josie and Alex lovin in the same story was just beyond! This novella was so sweet and funny and provocative and sexy... and I absolutely loved it! Any woman who has ever had a child will be able to relate to Laura in this story. If only I had had Thor and the Italian Stallion to pull me out of my postpartum funk. LOL!
I love boxed sets. It's always great to be introduced to some great new authors.
Complete Abandon by Julia Kent is an amazing return to her My Billionaire's story. Ms. Kent does a great job of showing us that passion doesn't have to die after having a baby; that in fact, passion can get even better. This novella is part of a continuing series and I am eagerly awaiting the next installment.
Three Little Words by Lauren Hawkeye was a fun find. I especially enjoyed Ms. Hawkeye's writing style and will be keeping an eye out for her next book, and her backlist.
Taken By Storm by Opal Carew lives up to its name in more ways than one. Ms. Carew is a great author and so far I haven't met a book of hers that I didn't enjoy.
The other five stories in this collection are fun, sexy, and certainly enjoyable.
Don't wait, buy this set now before the price goes up.
*Note: This set was provided as an ARC free to me for an honest review.
I received an ARC of this book from Julia Kent for an honest review.
I was happy to see yet another wonderful mix of authors in this one. And as always the low price if $0.99 simply can't be beat!
I was so sad when I finished reading Complete Abandon by Julia Kent. I just didn't want it to end! I loved being able to read the lives of Laura, Mike, and Dylan 6 months after the baby was born. Like almost any woman after giving birth you're very conscious of your body and the fact that its not the same as prepregnancy. Laura is so conscious of that fact that it starts to affect not only how she sees herself but also her relationship with Mike and Dylan. Her handsome billionaires decide that enough is enough and take matters into their own hands. All I can say is I wish I had a pair of my own billionaires. WOW!! I sincerely hope that we see more of them along with the rest of the gang in her books.
COMPLETE ABANDON by Julia Kent I would recommend that you read the Her Billionaires books all four of them and It's Complicated first as this is a continuation of the story. I always like to read more of a story when I like the characters and in this one it continues for Mike, Dylan, Laura and Alex and Josie. And this one is just as steamy sexy and funny as the others. I really loved this story. Julia Kent did a wonderful job.
There are 8 books in this boxed set and I haven't read the others yet but they sound great and I will be starting on them next. YOURS TO TAKE by Cathryn Fox, YIELD TO ME by Sarah Castille, THREE LITTLE WORDS by Lauren Hawkeye, TAKEN BY STORM by Opal Carew, HOW TO CHOOSE A COWBOY by Daire St. Denis, THE VAMPIRE DESIGN by Vivi Anna and ANYTHING HE WANTS: ATONEMENT by Sara Fawkes All of the authors are great
This boxed set was absolutely delicious. whether you choose a creamy chocolate or a harder biting dark chocolate bark, these stories will entirely satisfy your hunger.
This set is a perfect winter read and the price is available for anyone's budget.
The men in these stories are dominate and ruthless in their lives and in their pursuit of the women they want to make their own. There are a wonderful diversity in the stories and the selection is very tasty indeed.
Some of the stories are prequels to upcoming books and some are continuations of current series. You will have to indulge you appetite for reading to find out which is which.
This is such a great set of stories you must partake of them all and who knows maybe you will find a new favoured author. I know I did.
"unraveled" is a collection of 8 different stories written by various authors. They're all connected by one thing -BDSM.Some of the stories are pretty mild, whereas others are quite extreme!.I received the anthology free from one of the authors -Sara Fawkes- who finished her "anything he wants" series within this boxset. To be honest I probably wouldn't have read the anthology if it wasn't for AHW.i was dying to know what happened next with Jeremiah and Lucy.Julia Kent and Lauren Hawkeye add some good highlights to the book too!
I haven't read all 8 stories, I can't wait to read them, but I did read AHW10 by Sara Fawkes... OMG I loved it. It was a great way to end the series. It was HOT & SEXY!!!!!! I love the relationship between Jeremiah and Lucy. I'm going to miss them but the same time this gave closure to the story. I look forward to read more of Sara Fawkes's books. As I read the other stories I will add to my review.
I bought this box set for two of the books 1. Complete Abandon by Julia Kent and 2. AHW 10: Atoenment by Sara Fawkes .. ABSOLUTLY loved both of these books.. AHW was amazing as aways and what can i say i want MORE!!!! haha as for the other books in the box set i havent read them yet.. im sure i will get round to reading them eventually. worth every penny tho even just for the two stories. but for the fact you get 8 brilliant value.
This is a great box set every author in this set has done a wonderful job. I went in to reading this set mainly for Julia Kent, Sara Fawkes and came out enjoying all the rest! I would suggest that if you haven't read Julia's "Her Billionaires" that you do so before you read COMPLETE ABANDON in this set you will have a much better understanding of the book!
Everyone of the books in this set was one that you never wanted to set the book down! Hope you all enjoy as much as I did.
Julia Kent's Complete Abandonment is emotional and touching. I felt so connected to Laura, with her postpartum vulnerability. Julia again does such a great job writing her characters and showing the unconditional love between them. These are characters that I will come back to over and over, hoping their story continues for a very long time. Exciting new twist to the hot love scenes are pretty good too!
