Started a little slow introducing the main characters but warmed up quickly loved reading this ..even missed a couple of tv series because of this.. read the whole set of this book and at times had trouble putting it down. Read it and enjoy as much I did
A great series. Sam J. Fires has written a great series with great characters who have taken an epic journey through a post apocalyptic landscape into the besieged town of Meadowview where it all comes together. Sam has wrapped up the series with a fine ending.
This was great! I really enjoyed all of this series. Interesting ideas as well as characters, good levels of action & adventure, a well thought out plot & nicely developed writing style! A really good read! So yes I do recommend!
Riveting. Easy to follow. Family oriented.. Love the action and human interest. Characters are memorable. Shows emotion of personal warmth for characters loved and hated.
I only persevered to book three. A shame, as the story had potential. I found this to be very naively and not well written. I have read other post apocalyptic stories that were so much better. A lot of inconsistencies and unlikely that such a nice hero managed to marry some very heartless women.
This is an awesome book. I love this genre. The characters felt like family who was that type of book and they were successful and scared all those things, but they made it out. I love that kind of story.
With so few characters at the beginning, I wasn't sure this was for me. Well, I was wrong. What an amazing, strong person, Holly. turned out to be. It's a wonderful read and an amazing finale'
A well written, excellent post-apocalyptic series. The pages are filled with action from start to finish, with good believable characters and storyline. Highly recommended.
I love this series. A lot of interesting characters and you will love them. There are a lot of evil people too. If you love apocalyptic books you will enjoy this series.
How close are any of us to this terrifying scenario. Just shows how goodness transcends evil. A really good series that makes you think.....and question everything
This is the first books I've read by this author. I enjoyed these stories immensely. It was intense, and emotional. Definitely a page turner. I would recommend this series.
Wow! Exciting page turning. Wonderful characters and a plot that draws you in. I loved it. I recommend reading this book to anyone who hates to put a good story down on the bedside table. This book will keep you on a reading marathon!
Very mediocre, especially the last 1/3 where character actions don't match personalities and the plot races ti a hurried conclusion. Would be better as a low budget TV series.
