I really didn’t expect this series to be so dark, or so authentic in its portrayals of mental health. Ngl I love yanderes as much as the next person but seeing an actual deconstruction of one that focuses on the mental issues involved (similar to needy streamer overdose) is insanely refreshing to me. Anyways I’m hooked especially with the plot developments involving Nei. I cannot wait to see how this story evolves by next volume!

VOGLIO IL VOLUME 6 SUBITO, ORA, NOW, IN THIS MOMENT.

This series really goes from being funny to being the most brutal shit within 2 pages. With some heartbreak and traumatic pasts thrown in.
Some scenes in this volume were a bit too much for me, but overall I'm invested in the story and the characters and the art is amazing!

Peak series. The intro to more Family members is interesting. Also interesting how everyone in the main cast has something to do with the Magas somehow.

seeking righteous vengeance against your enemies but also being very willing to sacrifice everything to protect your sworn enemy’s child is very pisces-coded, shizuka~

Behold! The SPOILERS!

Well, this was fine. I don’t think the volume was anything special but there were some nice moments in it. Honestly, I just feel like the story is a little scattered at the moment so it’s hard to give it a high rating.

Especially the beginning part with Utsu was just meh. Sure, I loved it when Tao came to the rescue and how she was proud of Alma for dealing with Utsu the way he did but this psycho bitch’s storyline in general didn’t really hook me. Though I guess I did like the speech that Alma gave her about how she doesn’t see people for who they are but just idealized versions of them.

But then the story with the haunted mansion and Nei’s family actually got me hooked. I really like that the villain dude - Shizuka or whatever his name was - isn’t completely terrible. He keeps letting Nei live and you just start wondering why. Not to mention the backstory which is just great. I love how we got to see little Nei and how things at her house weren’t perfect. Also the scene with her sewing a heart onto Shizuka’s jacket is really wholesome. Oh and then she gets kidnapped and he prevents the others from using her for child pornography or something so you know, he isn’t the worst possible being on the planet.

But anyway, I think we’ve had stronger volumes than this. I’m excited to see the direction the story will take with Nei and Shizuka but I also hope that I don’t have to see Utsu ever again. I’m giving this 3 stars but I hope the manga picks up a little in the future.

continues to be my favorite shonen being published at the moment....the art is just too fcking good and I love these characters so much!!! the action sequences are insane, very stylized and entertaining but not too overdrawn to the point where you can't tell what's going on. this volume we see the end of the main utsu arc (which I'm happy about, because as cool as her powers are I cannot stand the way she refers to herself in third person) and the beginning of nei's backstory. I'm so intrigued by this scary dude who apparently killed her whole family but also seems to have a soft spot for her....the fact that he's still wearing the jacket she sewed the patch on?!?! why do I feel like the end of this arc is going to break my heart...

Love the dynamic that shifts to be more serious! The action scene is still done neatly and nicely. I'm looking forward to the next volume.

I like the conversation between Ulma-kun and Usu in the interrogation room. It's what is related when we judge people based on their appearance or just the glimpse of conversation only.

The art is so darn good. The story is getting dark we deal with the end of one fight and we start our next battle. The character growth does seem to mostly be happening to the cast of characters but its interesting. There is so much darkness in this series, it is not light hearted but it is funny mostly cause of Alma. Alma is so funny and enjoyable in just easy, small ways.

I need more.

This series is the antithesis to all of the new shonen slop series that don't care about giving anyone one of their hundreds of side characters a backstory and personality than can't be summarized in just one word.
