How did I just randomly decide to read this and now it's probably my second favorite Korean webtoon after Villains Are Destined to Die?!!

Manhwa's art style is pretty decent, and that's literally the only thing worth mentioning. Everything else just felt... kinda blah. Nothing about it stood out unique.

Another mean, abusive white haired dude with the emotional intelligence of a rock (he’s absurdly tall and the “strongest” warrior because of course he is. They always are.) and the tiny, fragile and useless FMC who has actually been reincarnted in the body of the heroine. This one has also been abused in her past and new life because that’s the easy way to make the FMC compliant and a pushover (while being passive-aggressive), and the author doesn’t have to bother with a personality or goals. And of course, they will never challenge the MMC when it counts.

At least “What’s wrong with you, Duke?” had charming characters and a non-abusive love interest. Here, it’s just the same tropes we all known (and I hate) without the charm. Being “cold” and “stoic” is just an excuse to not give the MMC a personality, I guess.

All of these manwhas are really nothing more than a “patriarchy kink” at their core:

“You weren't good enough as a woman. Another will come to live your life and do it better. Because she will be more submissive, prettier, more understanding, more functional to men."

це було боляче, дуже гарно, настільки, що я відкрила новелу після останнього розділу манхви. але тут так багато тригерних моментів через які я просто обливалась сльозами, що до цього потрібно підготуватися морально. але стосунки іске і рубі того варті, чоловік тут настільки грін прапор, що він скоріше ліс... раджу точно.

Es uno de los manhwas más bellos que he leído, desde el primer capítulo se ha vuelto de mis historias favoritas.
No suelen ser mis personajes favoritos como está protagonista pero me ha robado el corazón completamente, creo que hasta me siento como ella en algunos aspectos de mi vida. le lloré y me rei como una boba al verla feliz, su felicidad se volvió mi felicidad y opaco completamente el cariño que podría sentir por cualquier otro personaje de esta obra.

Todos sus personajes me gustaron, hasta los villanos son buenos, me hacen querer pegarles :D

Adoro el romance que se está dando y como poco a poco vemos que izuke se enamora de Ruby.

Me hice spoilers de la novela, se que vendrán cosas muy trágicas 🥲 no sé si esté preparada para esto pero ahí vamos.

Un premier tome prometteur, Ruby le personnage principal semble naïve et légère mais cache de vrais secrets et traumatismes. J'aime beaucoup la dynamique entre Iske et elle, Ruby est très drôle, et malgré son apparence froide Iske semble attaché à Ruby. Vivement la suite

По време на празниците тази година, тъй като не ми се четяха книги, реших да се върна към едно свое старо хоби и да разгледам какви нови уеб комикси са излезнали за времето, в което странях от тях. Така с изненада открих своят нов любим уеб комикс троп: прераждането на героя и започването на историята му отначало. Концепцията ми харесва, тъй като донякъде е като книгите игри: вече знаеш, че изборът, който си направил преди това не е бил правилния и сега избираш другата опция.
За моя голяма радост, точно този троп изглежда е доста често използван в жанра. Затова и намерих много комикси, които да ме развличат по време на ваканцията.

“Как да спечеля съпруга си на моя страна” (남편을 내 편으로 만드는 방법) е второто добро попадение от този мой непланиран уеб комикс маратон.

Руби е дъщерята на духовния глава на Столицата. Досега няколко пъти е била обещавана на достойни за ръката ѝ мъже от висшето общество, но уговорките винаги пропадат под лукавите схеми на по-големия ѝ брат Цезар.
Историята на Руби обаче не започва от това семейство и изобщо от този свят. Тя попада в роман, който е чела като малка, след като губи живота си в катастрофа в реалния свят. От тогава е обречена да живее в нещастното семейство на папата и да понася физическия тормоз, на който я подлага брат ѝ.

Всичко това обаче е на път да се промени, когато Руби внезапно бива изпратена на Север при поредния си нов съпруг, племенникът на краля - ловецът на чудовища Изек.
Въпреки че още от самото начало нещата между тях не тръгват добре, Руби трябва да направи всичко възможно да остане на Север и да не се връща никога повече при своя брат-насилник.

Историята е много интригуваща още от самото си начало. Обхваща доста важни и тежки теми като семейно насилие, самоубийство, хранително разстройство, психически травми… Определено не носи твърде приповдигнатото настроение, което доста почитатели на корейски уеб комикси търсят. Въпреки това, негативните и тъмните емоции са балансирани добре с други сладки моменти, което прави историята по-приятна и по-лесна за четене.

От гледна точка на арта, мога да заявя с две ръце, че е просто превъзходен. Може би любимият, на който съм попадала!!!

П.С. Тъй като художникът е претърпял инцидент, уеб комикса все още не е завършен. Въпреки това, тъй като той пък е базиран на новела, успях да я намеря и да я прочета, защото не издържах да не знам как завършва историята. Останах доволна.

Volume 1 ini meliputi chapter 01 sehingga chapter 15.

Genre cerita = royal + romance + isekai

Second best manhwa yang saya jumpa selepas 'Wished You Were Dead' dengan genre yang lebih kurang sama.

Untuk volume 1, saya rasa a little bit slow story building dia. Ambil masa sedikit nak faham character and setting.

Art dia sangat memuaskan dan cantik. Tak sangka colour mata Iske yang warna merah tu sangat mengancam dan menggoda 🤣. Iske is the epitome of tsundere character.

Ruby pulak oh she is so funny tau. Dia punya inner thought dia kadang-kadang quite kelakar. Watak dia macam damsel in distress like arghh kadang rasa macam nak peluk je Ruby tu. I hate the way people treated her macam dia ni pesalah. Padahal dia hanyalah mangsa.

Picked it up on a whim but pleasantly surprised at how nice the manga is. Super cute but still has serious elements. ML was kind of sus in the beginning but I realized later on that it seems like the story is in the FL pov and she's not a reliable narrator. Honestly, I love that in a book. Also some of the baby demonic creatures are too cute ����

FL can be a little over the top clumsy but for the m ost part, it doesn't bother me.

The story feels a bit repetitive at times, especially with her being clumsy. It feels like in season 2 Ruby’s going to be much more open and perhaps finally tell Iz about her past abuse and ED. Otherwise, it’s like every other reincarnation manhwa so you know I’m eating this up..:
I will be reading season 2 immediately 😝
