Feeling overwhelmed by the amount of content in the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam? Has it been a while since you were in school that you're afraid you won't remember how to solve certain problems? Are you STUCK retaking the exam multiple times over and can't seem to get over the hump?"Joel, I wanted to give you a quick feedback relating to your audio book. I think the way you explained the study techniques were unique. I have heard many a persons try to give their take on how to study for this exam. I think the bottom line is the test is very intimidating. Take the General (Others) exam for example. Of the 12-15 subjects they must study for, each subject comes from a text book 200-400 pages in number. It is hard to decipher what to study, even if NCEES give you the specifications. It then becomes a matter of fear that you didn’t study enough of the subject and it causes widespread panic. I know for me it is tough, I am a multi-tasker and I have been out for many years. I know the material, but I over-think the problem. Since it is not open book, it is hard to know when to pull the reins back on the thought process. I know this is one of your mistakes you mention in your audio book. But I think with the categorizing technique, I should be able to narrow down the subjects and maximize the questions. I really appreciate it." - JohnnyBefore you spend hundreds of dollars on FE Exam review material and practice tests, you need to read (or listen to) "30-Minute EIT - How to beat the FE Exam without beating your head..."Many people are afraid to take the test because they "don't have the time to study". That may be true, but hidden behind that is the real afraid of failure. 30-Minute EIT's main focus is to help busy professionals prepare for the BEAST that is the FE Exam in the most EFFICIENT way possible. It's easy to get overwhelmed by all of the topics covered on the exam, and even easier to give up. "Thanks for the book. I think what I struggle with the most is organizing the way I study. Although, I should say struggleD, because your book helped me prioritize. I just finished it. I actually downloaded the audio version first, but had too much stuff going on at work and decided to download the kindle version and read that instead. Anyway, thanks again. I just finished my chart and have a plan now. Going to go for 62%! I'm taking it on July 23rd. I'll let you know how it goes!" - LuisIn this book I'll show - How to apply the 80/20 rule for test taking - How to define your "gimme" sections - How to teach your calculator to do a lot of the dirty work (BONUS SECTION) - How to prioritize the topics AND your time"Joel's very practical knowledge he gives in 30-Minute EIT is a valuable asset you must have while preparing for this test. I used the tactics while preparing for my FE Exam and passed. I plan on using his exact same approach and tips he teaches in preparation for my professional engineering exam in the coming year." - Matt C., P.E.Professional Engineer licensure is a big deal.
