There’s one rule I’ve lived by my entire life—never trust anyone but yourself.
It’s the reason I’ve built an empire in New York City, becoming one of its wealthiest, most untouchable bachelors. It’s also why I go through assistants like clockwork. They all want the same thing—a date with the city’s most eligible billionaire. A shot at the lifestyle. A piece of my fortune.
Then Kylie Ricci shows up.
She’s not like the others. For one, she shouldn’t even have this job. She was a barista in the lobby café, not some polished Ivy League grad. But somehow, she talked her way into my office. And now, she’s my assistant—with that sunshine smile, those innocent green eyes, and curves that make it impossible to focus.
But unlike the rest, she isn’t trying to seduce me. In fact, she can barely stand me.
She thinks I’m cold, ruthless. A playboy who doesn’t care about anything but money. And maybe she’s right. But I don’t trust her either. No one gets ahead in this city without an angle. And I’m certain she has one.
Then I find out the truth.
Kylie isn’t just some bright-eyed girl trying to get ahead—she’s been fighting to survive. Raising her twelve-year-old brother alone after losing her parents when she was just sixteen. Struggling to make ends meet in a world that’s never done her any favors.
And suddenly, I see her differently.
She’s not just my assistant. She’s strong. Resilient. Everything I didn’t realize I needed.
I want her. And for the first time, I want more than just another meaningless night.
But Kylie is nothing like the women who’ve come before her. She’s untouched, innocent—and when I finally take her, I know I can never go back.
She makes me crave something deeper. Something real.
But trust has never come easy for me, and my inability to open up may cost me the one thing money can’t buy.

The first half of this one was good. I liked how strong and confident Kylie was. She's the guardian to her 12 year old brother, fought for her chance to better herself and landed a job for a jerk alpha A-hole that she easily put in his place. I love that kind of banter and tension but then she became someone ruled by her physical attraction and her sass and smarts abandoned her.
Lincoln definitely lived up to his reputation as a nightmare boss, even after they start their secret affair, it was way too easy for him to separate the Lincoln who wanted Kylie with the Boss-hole who treated her like any other employee. It was hard to reconcile his cold behavior with the slightly less cold Lincoln that was starting to feel real feelings for Kylie.
I think there was definitely potential but it was too rushed. Lincoln didn't have enough time to really convince anyone of his new outlook on love and committed relationships. It also didn't help that Kylie seemed to always put herself second to Lincoln's wants and needs. She would be hurt he rejected her or pushed her away emotionally but then bend to his will because she wanted to make him feel better. It happened too many times and for someone who likes the man to do the chasing and own up to his mistakes and grovel, this one fell short on both counts.
I also found myself wondering a lot about Kylie's missing parents and the life insurance policy they had taken out. This and Lincoln's dysfunctional family I felt just scratched the surface and left me with more questions than answers.
Kylie is poor and has been taking care of her little brother since the age of 16. Lincoln is a billionare and a CEO. Kylie becomes his personal assistant, and they fall in love. Nothing really new is being explored, but I'm ok with that.
The writing is simplistic. At times I wished everything was a bit more flushed out-- however, characters are fully developed and the story goes by quick.
It's a great palette refresher between books. however the 'twist' at the end (which I saw a 100 miles away) wasn't fully developed, and I didn't believe it. What kind of guardian doesn't at least meet the therapist of their underage brother??? but whatever, with or without that, this is a solid 3 stars. The sex scenes are plenty, but not overwhelming, and a few of them are VERY well done and hot.
This was a quick and refreshing read for me! After reading so many dark romances back to back, I needed a genre change, and this book delivered exactly what I was looking for. 🙌🏼
Lincoln is the perfect grumpy billionaire MMC, and Kylie is the sweet but fierce FMC who balances him out perfectly. Their dynamic kept me engaged, and the chemistry between them was on point. The writing was smooth, the plot kept me hooked, and the smut? No complaints there!😅
I also loved how the side characters were well-written and blended seamlessly into the story without overpowering it.
I'll be keeping an eye out for more books from Nicole! 💖
His Temptation at its core is a familiar story of a young woman working as an assistant for a billionaire CEO. However, Nicole Baker has weaved a tale about characters with depth and surprising backgrounds. Lincoln Monroe is the CEO who has gone through four assistants in a month. Kylie Ricci is a 21 year old barista. She has been working two jobs and taking care of her younger brother since she was 16, when her parents disappeared. Kylie overhears a conversation about someone not able to keep an assistant when she suddenly says “hire me”. She doesn’t care about how good looking the billionaire CEO is. The others didn’t need the job, she does. Kylie is hired and starts working the same day. This is a life changing opportunity for her and her brother Benny. She’ll be able to move them to a safer neighborhood, they’ll finally have health insurance and Benny will be able to start Speech Therapy for his stutter. As a former Speech-Language Pathologist, it was great to see Benny’s stutter be accurately represented. When Kylie meets Lincoln, she finds him very attractive, that is until he opens his mouth. “How can someone so good looking be so…rude?” He is tempted by Kylie because she is so different from the others and she hates him. There are great moments when she finds her backbone and talks back to him. Kylie and Lincoln soon find themselves in a heated moment that changes their relationship. Things get steamy in and out of the office but they run into trouble when his family comes into the picture. There are secrets revealed, surprises, and heartbreak on their road to happily ever after. I was left with questions about Kylie’s parents, I wanted more information about the circumstances about how they could just disappear. Kylie and Lincoln’s story had me giggling, swooning and tearing up.
I’d like to thank Nicole Baker and The Author Agency for the privilege of reading an advanced copy of His Temptation.
5⭐️ 3🌶️ 📚ARC Review📚 🐦🔥Follow me on socials @myrisingphoenixera 🐦🔥
I absolutely loved this ARC from Nicole Baker. This billionaire romance was everything I needed it to be. Kylie is such a strong FMC taking on the responsibility of being her little brothers guardian after the passing of her parents. She does everything she can to give him a happy stable life. Lincoln is a grumpy billionaire who cannot keep an assistant due to his high expectations. Kylie is up for the challenge if it means a better life for her brother, Benny. She doesn’t take Lincoln’s shit and proves she can get the job done without going after Lincoln’s money or his 🍆 Unfortunately, Lincoln finds out Kylie is his one weakness. He wants to take care of her instead of his normal cold, selfish ways. The plot is amazing and the spice was great! I hope this will be a series. If not, I still will read Nicole’s books in the future. 💕
I really enjoyed reading this book! Who knew that a beautiful young lady with a GED would get a job as an administrative assistant to a snobby and rude billionaire . Lincoln treats all of his secretaries rude intestine because they are all usually after his money so he fires them. Finally, he finds one Kylie, who isn’t after his money. But she is tired of his rude and nasty behavior torture. She doesn’t care about his money. All she cares about is getting ahead in life for herself and her brother. I loved reading how they eventually fall in love! Even after everything that goes on at work and between them. Such a must read.
This book was just plain old boring. I tried making myself even care a little bit about these two characters but ,no! I skimmed though most of the book and my advice is for anyone not to waste their time with this awful boring book. Shirley
🔥Billionaire Romance 🔥Virgin Heroine 🔥Enemies to Lovers 🔥Office Romance 🔥Age Gap 🔥Grumpy/Sunshine Romance 🔥Forced Proximity 🔥Boss/Employee Romance
This book was FIRE!! 🔥 I loved everything about it. I finished it in a day! I absolutely loved the strong and witty FMC, Kylie. Lincoln, the MMC, is a grumpy billionaire who meets his match! This was my first book by Nicole Baker and it certainly won’t be the last. I’m looking forward to reading more of her books! His Temptation is out now! Add this to your TBR!
4.5 ⭐️ 📕: His Temptation by Nicole Baker Why you’ll love this book!! Billionaire Romance Virgin Heroine Enemies to Lovers Office Romance Age Gap Grumpy/Sunshine Romance Forced Proximity Boss/Employee Romance
This is my first book to read of Nicole Baker’s and I fell in love with her writing and the characters!! I am a sucker for grumpy billionaires and age gap romances and this book did not let me down at all!! I was hooked from the beginning with Lincoln and Kylie’s story ..The banter was amazing lol I am also a sucker for good banter and this book has that!!
3.25⭐️ Kylie Ricci is a 21 year old who has been the guardian for her 12 year old brother, Benny, for the past 5 years. She's had to maintain multiple jobs and take night classes over the years in order to finish school and to provide for them...and it has been a struggle!!
One morning, while working her job as a barista, Kylie overhears her customer venting about needing to find yet another personal assistant for the handsome, billionaire CEO. Apparently, he fires everyone she hires, with the latest one being fired the exact day she started. In a rare moment of courage, Kylie suggests the woman hire her. The next thing she knows, she has a new job that pays her more than she could've imagined and provides benefits.
Mr. Monroe (Lincoln) is pompous, arrogant, entitled, rude, and belittling. He is demanding, condescending, and allows no room for errors. He's sick and tired of all of these striking, confident assistants throwing themselves at him - desperate for a life of riches. So when Kylie comes along and looks at him with hatred and disdain and calls him out, he is not prepared. She challenges him, and hates him.....and he can't get enough.
The chemistry in this book is strong! I LOVE the bickering and building frustration that slowly turns to interest and desire. It is so good!! She talks back and gives him attitude while he pretends to hate it, corrects it, and is secretly turned on by it, and you will be eating it up!!
Kylie is resilient, selfless, and strong. Her work ethic and self-sufficiency are unmatched. Having to grow up too soon, she is a bit naive and inexperienced and lacks a bit of confidence. This creates a sweetness and softness to her.
Lincoln has a tough exterior, but WOW! Watching his layers get pulled back and seeing him soften for Kylie and be playful was the sweetest thing......but also spicy. This man falls hard, and he is addicted and possessive!! Lincoln carries a lot of pain and hurt from his past, and he does everything he can to hide his past.
I was able to guess a couple of plot details/twists pretty easily, but I still enjoyed how they were revealed.
There were some moments that I didn't quite buy in the story, and the reasoning for Kylie having guardianship of her brother....while it worked and was a valid reason.....it just.....idk, I wanted more.
Overall, it's a good read. I can definitely see it being a favorite for some.
Read if you like: - age gap (12 years) - inexperienced FMC - workplace romance - billionaire romance - grumpy/sunshine - enemies to lovers - boss/employee romance - spicy/ dirty talk
currently reading at 39%. so this is okay so far it's just not amazing. one thing I never understand especially about this book is she has this job as a coffee Barista and she gets this job as a assistant to the MMC who's rich and she makes $100,000 a year which is less than normal but good for her experience and she is there for Less Than 2 months at this point and throughout this scenario they talk about how many assistance he fires right but more than once she's talked about how she wants to look for a better apartment because the one she lives in in Harlem is not in the best neighborhood but her neighbor watches her brother while she's at work so why would she move not to mention again the dude fires all his assistants so what is she going to do move and then have to move back??
also there's a random storyline in here where your brother now has a stutter since her parents went missing. he finally gets into a therapist I'm a therapist is doing pretty good but she is pregnant and goes on maternity leave like a month after starting the session and they have someone come in the name scott. well FMC meets him one day after the appointment and it just so happens to be the MMC using his middle name to be Ben in the FMC Brothers therapist

This book was a fun, easy read—just what I needed. It was fairly predictable, but in a comforting way. I almost treated it like a palate cleanser because I knew exactly what I was getting going in, and sometimes that’s perfect after reading a few disappointing books.

I dont know if I can recommend His Temptation by Nicole Baker enough to Billionaire/Office Romance Trope lovers! Billionaire/Office Romances have always been one of my favorite tropes, and I am so glad I picked up this book to find out more because it quickly became a book I didn't want to put down. Nicole Baker pulled me in within a few chapters and I had my own F*it moments along with the main characters, although mine were less sexy and of the F*it I won't be getting sleep tonight because I need to know if the Enemies become lovers soon 😅.
Kylie, our FMC, has struggled for years due to her parents' absence and her caring for her younger brother even though life didn't give her any breaks. She is strong, resilient, hardworking, outspoken, untouched, and everything Lincoln didn't realize he needed.
Lincoln, our MMC, is the grumpy, dominant, possessive, arrogant, and broody billionaire boss we all know and love, but he has another side to him he doesn't always show. He can also be charming, charismatic, soft, and romantic, but he is guarded by his past wounds.
These characters lit up the pages with their banter and their their interactions together. I loved that Kylie would stand her ground and call Lincoln out even though she had everything to lose. There was so much chemistry flying off the pages between these two, and I was here for all of it. I loved the push and pull alongside the tension Baker built between the characters because it was perfectly written into where I became so invested in these charcaters and needing to know which direction they were heading. These two made me chuckle and full-blown laugh out loud throughout this one but also made me feel for them on another level with their struggle and past wounds they were trying to overcome. This story gives you well developed/full characters, amazing banter, undeniable chemistry, built-up tension, lots of spicy moments, but we're tastefully written, and a story that pieced together so perfectly.
This was a fun read! The FMC's POV was difficult to get into at first; her thoughts felt disjointed, and there was really no character-building at the start. Baker just threw us right into the promised plot! The MMC was entertaining, a classic edgy but heart-of-gold billionaire.
What I liked: - The consistent Dual POV created a really nice pacing. We got to see the stage set for future MMCs in the Empire State of Love series, too. - Benny and his sister's relationship! The FMC was so tough, and her devotion to proper healthcare for her brother was super compelling and pretty realistic, even if the circumstances of her hiring were obviously fairytale. - The spice! It was good spice. 4/5 🌶️ with nice dialogue and good back and forth. Some tender moments too.
What I didn't like: - The 3rd act breakup was SO forced. Just a touch of patience and communication would've solved the whole dang thing. I wish the catalyst had been more about her status as his employee (an HR/optics issue) than a (so brief) OW spat. - I really wanted her to go back to school at the end!
His Temptation is my first introduction to author Nicole Baker, and I can say with confidence that it won’t be my last. As this story grips you from the outset and keeps you turning the pages long into the night.
As at just twenty-one, Kylie has taken on the demanding role of guardian for her younger brother, Ben, working relentlessly to support him despite their financial struggles. But her fortunes shift dramatically when she overhears a conversation about a personal assistant position for Lincoln Monroe, the billionaire CEO of Nova Sky Airlines. And with her determination and unique perspective—she’s not interested in sleeping with the boss—Kylie successfully lands the job, even without prior experience.
Yet, working for Lincoln Monroe is anything but simple. He’s demanding, grumpy, and often rude, but there’s no denying he’s incredibly attractive. Only his challenging demeanour heightens the tension between them.
But as they spend more time together, Lincoln starts to see Kylie’s capabilities, and undeniable chemistry sparks to life. However, Kylie is determined to maintain her professionalism and is uncertain about Lincoln's true feelings.
However, the dynamics shift during a weekend work trip to Los Angeles. But when Lincoln learns she's a virgin he insists that. he won’t sleep with her, but as emotions intensify, he alters his stance.
And with spicy moments, relatable characters, trust issues and just the right amount of emotion, this book is not just entertaining; it’s a must-read that I would confidently recommend to all.
My thanks to The Author Agency and Nicole Baker for the opportunity to read an early copy of His Temptation. All thoughts expressed are my own. ☺️
Very surface level story - I felt like it wasn't well developed and some things didn't really make sense (ie what happened to her parents, why was he so weird about her finding out about his childhood, she kept worrying he would fire her but still slept with him?). Both main characters reacted to situations in an immature way that sometimes made no sense. The dialogue was lacking as was any real character development.
I’m a sucker for a good office romance, throw in some enemies to lovers on top of that and you’ve got a spicy read!!
I absolutely loved Lincoln and Kylie. It did take them a while to come together and trust one another though. Lincoln was so jaded when it came to love and relationships. People always wanted him for his money and what he could give them, especially women. So when he first met Kylie, he had already put her in the same category as his other P.A.’s. Someone who just wanted his money and title. Kylie on the other hand was so kind and caring. When she took the job as Lincoln’s PA, she was only interested in doing her job and making enough money so she could take care of her brother, whom she had taken care since she was 16.
There was a lot push and pull between them, but once they came together, they were absolute fire. And I loved how Lincoln surprised me towards the end. He was so much more than he seemed to be in the beginning.
I cannot recommend this book enough!! It was wonderfully written!
Every cringy trope possible. MMC falls in love with the FMC because she is the only woman in New York who doesn't want to bang him (until she does). The leads both end up word vomming over-analyzed explanations for why they are the way they are because the author doesn't know how to weave it into the story. Add to that a simple misunderstanding leading to a breakup before they get back together and forgive each other with no real work done and an annoying "surprise" twist at the end, I only finished this book to leave this review.
I think this author has a lot of potential, but they should work with an editor who gives them more constructive feedback.
Felt like their story was unfinished. I was genuinely confused when I got to the epilogue, wondering if I accidentally skipped chapters.
I appreciated that it wasn’t insta-love or even insta lust. I liked the slow development of their interest in each other. However, I didn’t like how we don’t get to enjoy their relationship once they FINALLY agree to exclusively date. The book just ends after what felt like the beginning of the second act! I respect that the set up of this book is different from “cliche HEA”, but I would have loved more content throughout.
I really liked Kylie (FMC)!! She had a few moments where I questioned her logic, but for the most part her character was refreshing! She’s emotionally mature (except for one scene where she act a lil cray cray), and a great guardian/parent to her brother.
Lincoln (MMC) was fine. I feel like I would’ve liked him more, but his inner thoughts didn’t really help. I kept feeling like I was missing something from him. I appreciate there were layers to him, but felt like I didn’t notice the other layers that much. His trauma was breezed over in 1 sentence, and never revisited. Again, I could see the potential in loving his character, but it wasn’t built out. Also I had a bad taste in my mouth, after he found Kylie attractive when he saw she had nice tits… maybe not that’s not a fair assessment, just how I took it. 🤷♀️
What really confused me though, was the parents’ storyline. More details below, but don’t read if you don’t want to know:
So her parents disappeared when she was 16 and her brother was 7. Like others have said, I understand the disappearance angle vs “confirmed dead”, because then there would be an explanation for why she hasn’t received their life insurance money (but at the same time, the life insurance money didn’t play that big of a role in the story, so what was the point??) But give me SOMETHING on that storyline! When Kylie tells Lincoln her parents disappeared and there’s been no trace of their bodies for 5 yrs, HOW do you not ask follow-up questions???!!! What happened on the day they disappeared? Were they traveling somewhere? Were they hiking in some remote place? Were they kidnapped? At some point, I literally thought her parents were spies (I was bored). I was totally reading WAY too much into this, but if you set the story up with “they disappeared” I’m gonna ask questions.
And in the epilogue, Lincoln hires someone to help legally release the funds to Kylie, but how do you not also hire a team of private investors to find what happened to her parents?? Then again, they weren’t even in a committed relationship the entire book, so ya why would he?🙄🤔 Again, I’m clearly making this way too important; this was not what the story was about. But it just bothered me.
It’s a decent grumpy billionaire boss book. Nothing earth-shattering, but it did hold my interest. (Possible spoilers ahead) There are a few plot holes left. Not a major deal, it’s just something that bothers me.
There is an age gap. H is 32. h is 21. h is also a V. (There’s a little bit at the beginning of H being a playboy but he never is in this book and he mentions to h that there has not been any women since he met her)
Due to book luck, h was able to get a job making 100k a year as an PA to H. She raises her brother after her parents just disappeared. Her brother has a stuttering issue. h only had a GED and a strong work ethic. She’s working at a coffee shop when she overhears a lady complaining that her CEO boss is such an a-hole that he can’t keep any PA. They all want to sleep with him. 🤪 h volunteered and she was hired.
H is a typical emotionally stunted, sexy billionaire who has mommy/daddy issues. He only does ONS, then sends them flowers the next day. He boo-hoos in his POV about how women only want him for his money or smex. 😏 Poor guy :/s
H has bro club he hangs out with. They are all bachelors and I assume they are the next books in this series. h doesn’t have any friends in this book. She makes a few at work.
Anyway, h hits it out of the park as his PA. She puts up with everything he throws at her. There’s a bunch of back and forth, but basically they started to have an attraction to each other. They do a bunch of foreplay. He doesn’t want to be the one to take her V 🙄 but he eventually does. The smex scenes were spicy and not overdone.
H is the master of whiplash. One minute, he’s all hot for h, the next, he’s pushing her away.
They eventually have their 3rd act breakup, which you could see coming from a mile away. H has h moved to another position in his company.
h’s brother has been in speech therapy. His normal dr went on medical leave so he was working with a new one. h finally meets the new one…..and it’s H. 😒😒🙄 H’s big trauma in his life that he tries to keep secret- he used to stutter. His parents were ashamed of him and they treated him terrible. Anonymously, he volunteers his time (yes, he has a degree in this) to help other kids. H has grown close to h’s brother. 🙃🙃 how convenient.
Another convenient and a nice, tidy wrapped bow- h’s parents left her 5 million dollars. H was able to help her get it.
HFN ending with them moving in together.
What was the deal with the missing parents? I don’t understand why the author didn’t just have the parents die and h was fighting to get the money from the insurance. Why have them missing? Why wasn’t h looking for her parents? Why not hire a PI?
Also, why didn’t we have some type of conclusion with H’s terrible parents? We either needed a showdown or some type of acknowledgment that he cut them out of his life for good. 🤷♀️
Nicole Baker's "His Temptation" delivers a classic billionaire romance with a dark, possessive twist, appealing to readers who enjoy a blend of innocence and raw desire. The premise is familiar: an unassuming young woman, tasked with assisting a powerful, enigmatic billionaire, finds herself drawn into a whirlwind of forbidden attraction.
The narrative focuses heavily on Kylie's internal conflict. Her dedication to her younger brother forms the bedrock of her character, creating a sense of vulnerability that contrasts sharply with the billionaire's commanding presence. Baker skillfully portrays the gradual erosion of her defenses as she succumbs to his allure. The billionaire, portrayed as cold and ruthless, possesses a hidden intensity that captivates the heroine. His possessiveness, though potentially controversial, is a central element of the story, fueling the tension and driving the emotional stakes.
Baker's writing is engaging, prioritizing emotional resonance over intricate plot development. The descriptions of the characters' interactions are charged with sensuality, effectively conveying the growing intimacy between them. The exploration of the heroine's burgeoning sexuality, coupled with her naivety, creates a dynamic that is both compelling and potentially unsettling.
However, the book relies heavily on established tropes, and readers seeking originality might find the plot predictable. The emphasis on the billionaire's dominance could be a point of contention for some, depending on their personal preferences. Nevertheless, "His Temptation" successfully evokes a sense of heightened emotion and forbidden desire, making it a satisfying read for those who enjoy the genre's familiar beats. The book successfully delivers on the promise of its genre and offers a compelling escape for fans of intense romantic entanglements.
Disclaimer: I received an advanced review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
This book had me at Age Gap, Grumpy/Sunshine and Billionaire. And, being my first book from Nicole Baker I was not disappointed. It was the perfect book to end a run of very heavy emotional reads I had done back to back, but let's not downplay the emotion running through this book.
Kylie is 21 years old, and has had more in her 21 years than others of the same age. As the guardian of her brother, Kylie works hard to make ends me, she has had too, so when an 'opportunity' presents itself, and before she has had time to stop her mouth engaging before her brain, she is interviewing for a PA role to the grumpy billionaire CEO, Lincoln. He is the absolute grump, but then with others only seeing dollar signs, flirting and generally being incompetent, he has every reason to be. He expects high standards of himself, but also his PA. Kylie needs this job, the benefits it will afford, and improvements she can make to her and Benny, her brother. The dynamic between Kylie and Lincoln I enjoyed, as Kylie does not back down or cower to Lincoln's 'bossy' attitude, she challenges him at every step, something he has not had from previous employees, and he initially doesn't know how to take it. Little do they both realise, the secret they both share. Kylie is inexperienced when it comes to affairs of the heart, and Lincoln has not felt an attraction this strong to any other woman until Kylie, she challenges his very soul, and when he becomes more aware of her background and lifestyle struggles, he feels that protectiveness towards her as well as desire.
There are so many beautiful moments that take your breath away, and emotion when those secrets collide that had me reaching for the tissues and riding the wave. Thank you Nicole, this may have been my first read of yours, but it won't be the last. 4.25/5 stars.
Thank you so much Nicole and The Author Agency for picking me to ARC read this one, I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to read this one early 💓
This one was super fun, the characters were awesome, the plot line was easy to follow & full of so many great developments and the tension between the main characters was next level. I absolutely adored Kylie character she is the big sister that everyone deserves in life she was caring, loyal and willing to go to war for the people that she loves and getting to see her & Benny's lives turn around was the best thing ever because they truly do deserve the world. I have to admit at first I very much disliked Lincoln but he grew on me and I can completely understand why Kylie fell for him, getting to see him learn to let down his falls and letting people into his life was the cutest thing ever and seeing him healing from all of the bad things that he suffered in hid childhood was the best thing ever, Kylie really helped him to soften up and to let his walls down which he really deserved in this life.
My favourite character of the whole read hasss to be Benny he was the sweetest kid ever and getting to see him make progress with his stutter along with seeing him come to life when him & Kylie moved to a different area and he made new friends was the best thing ever it really made me so happy for him because he deserves the best after all of the tough times that he went through with losing his parents. Overall, I don't have a single bad thing to say about this read I really enjoyed it and I can't wait to read the rest of the series once they come out. Thank you again to Nicole for letting me ARC read this one ☺️
🔥 YES, YES, YES! His Temptation by Nicole Baker is EVERYTHING! I loved every single second of this book—the power, the intensity, the chemistry that burned right off the pages!
I never imagined I’d be this completely hooked on a billionaire romance, but here we are—utterly obsessed! The dynamic between the heroine and New York’s most powerful billionaire? Absolutely electric. She’s innocent, selfless, and not looking for love—but he? He’s dark, ruthless, and utterly irresistible. The way he looks at her, the way he wants her… it’s forbidden, dangerous, and completely intoxicating.
But beneath his hard, untouchable exterior is a swoon-worthy speech therapist who not only makes her weak in the knees but also helps her younger brother in a way that melts your heart. That contrast—the ruthless billionaire with a deeply compassionate side—made me fall so hard for him!
I could feel the tension building with every page—the slow-burn seduction, the push and pull, the way he owns every moment with her. And when everything finally explodes? OH. MY. SOUL. I was shaking with excitement!
But what makes this story truly stand out is the emotional depth—because trust doesn’t come easy, and the stakes are so high. If she lets him in, she could lose everything—and I felt every ounce of that inner struggle, every moment of hesitation, every whisper of longing.
💫 If you love powerful billionaire heroes, innocent-but-strong heroines, and a romance that will consume you whole, His Temptation is an absolute MUST-READ.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Dark, addictive, and completely unputdownable—this book owned my soul!
Lincoln and Kylie Age-gap Billionnaire Forbidden (he’s her boss) Grumpy sunshine She’s a virgin
RATING: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ SPICE: 🔥🔥,5
Lincoln is a proud billionnaire, one that has to have full control in order to maintain. Much of this control is then very easy mistaken for grumpiness. PS - he is ofcouse sexy and tired of his assistants hitting on him (poor baby)
Kylie is a 21-year with a GED working at a coffee shop, supporting herself and her brother after her parents died years ago.
Right place, right time and she is suddenly interviewing and managing to get the assistant job - stating they need something different than they have been having and there is no risk of her falling for the boss.
She manages to hold her own, despite Lincoln being an ass in the beginning and not accepting any errors from her. Little by little, and without her really knowing, she is tearing down some serious walls of his. And slowly she starts finding herself liking her boss.
Lincoln believes he just needs a little taste to take the edge off, and definitely doesnt want her virginity. A little misunderstanding and some fuming days, they admit their true feelings and the intimacy from there is beautiful. (Note - he really didn’t need to be «that» big)

This is my first book to read of Nicole Baker's and I fell in love with her writing and the characters story. This one was super fun to read , the plot line was easy to follow & full of so many great developments and the tension between the main characters was next level. I absolutely adored Kylie character she is the big sister that everyone deserves in life she was caring and Lincoln He's dark, ruthless, and utterly irresistible. The way he looks at her, the way he wants her... it's forbidden, dangerous, and completely intoxicating.
I could feel the tension building with every page-the slow-burn seduction, the push and pull, the way he owns every moment with her. And when everything finally explodes? OH. MY. SOUL. I was shaking with excitement! But what makes this story truly stand out is the emotional depth-because trust doesn't come easy, and the stakes are so high. If she lets him in, she could lose everything-and I felt every ounce of that inner struggle, every moment of hesitation, every whisper of longing.
If you love powerful billionaire heroes, innocent-but-strong heroines, and a romance that will consume you whole,
His Temptation is an absolute MUST-READ.
