📚-ENGAGED in DANGER, is a fun and light-hearted closed-door romcom short story, following such lively and endearing characters, Amelia and Caleb from Date with Danger on their next little suspenseful and crazy adventure. This enjoyable story is filled with a dual POV, great humor, delightful inner dialogue, flying sparks of romance but with no slice, , and laugh-out-loud fun stunts, that takes place mostly in the lively setting of Las Vegas, where danger lurks around every corner corner, crazy shenanigans are perfectly executed, and the banter is top notch. While on the shorter side in length, this story is precisely packed full of goodness! I enjoyed every moment of this delightful tale and having more time spent with the cast of great characters. Seeing them go above and beyond for what’s most important and worth sacrificing and saving for, was thrilling! Do yourself a favor and begin with the story, A Date With Danger first, to fully love this gem of a short story. It’s worth the smiles, laughs, and happy sighs of contentment!🙌🏻📚🩷

I’ve been hooked on the Caught in Chaos series since I first read Date With Danger last year and I was sad to see it come to an end in Taken With Trouble. BUT THEN…Jenessa Fayeth announced two new short stories which take place after Taken With Trouble and boy, was I ever excited to be back with my favorite characters!

This book followed the story of Caleb & Amelia and it was a wild ride from start to finish! I don’t normally enjoy short stories overly much since it’s hard to get enough detail/plot into so few words, but Jenessa knocked it out of the park with this one! I can’t wait to see what her second short story will entail 😁

Amelia was bound and determined to prove herself as a private investigator so she goes off on a mission to discover what Caleb has been hiding. Her wild adventure had me cracking up and almost losing it a few times 🤭 I love her wild enthusiasm for life and her affinity for finding danger!

Caleb has always enjoyed working undercover to bring down bad guys, but now that Amelia is in his life, he’s beginning to second guess his choice of job. To make matters worse, he’s currently undercover catering to the whims of a Botox-filled woman who’s well over forty. And no, it’s not pleasant, even if there are big guns involved. When Amelia finds herself embroiled in danger in the midst of Caleb’s undercover operation, her boyfriend’s skills are put to the test to save the love of his life.

This was a lot of fun!

Maybe you’ve seen my reviews of the other books in this universe, but lo and behold… I actually liked Amelia in this one. Now that I got to know her lore, she’s actually a queen in this short story. Honestly, it’s the perfect way to close Amelia and Caleb’s story.

It was fast-paced and so thrilling—I basically blinked twice and the story was over. I also loved getting to know Caleb’s dad a bit more. I did miss some more interaction between him and Caleb at the end though. Jenessa added such an interesting angle by bringing Caleb’s dad into the story, but in the end he feels more like a bystander. I get why, looking at the character development, but part of me wanted more.

If you’ve read the other two books: just grab this one already. It’s the perfect short story. And who doesn’t love more Caleb content (plus a little Serena and Liam cameo)? 👀

I’m literally downloading the last short story right now. I NEED IT.

4⭐️ ARC Review: Oh how I missed Caleb and Amelia. It was so fun to read the end of their story. I loved how down bad they are for each other and the lengths they will go to protect each other. Especially the lengths Amelia will go. I forgot how absolutely insane she is, but her insanity made for a fun short story.

Like I said, this is a short story. It’s super fast paced and has an exciting and chaotic plot. I’m sad it was over so quickly, but it honestly didn’t need to be longer. It was the perfect ending for Caleb and Amelia and we got to see their happily ever after. But I am sad their story is over.

It‘s a short novella so take this rating with the greatest soul.
It was pretty cute and I read it in one sitting.
I read the main(the first) book last year and I really enjoyed it back then. If you love the characters definitely try this novella.

My only critique (which has more to do with my preference) is the beginning. Even the thought of the mmc cheating made me have a first bad impression. But we know him and he would never do that so I got over it pretty fast!!

This was A BLAST!! Short story extended epilogues need to become a regular thing because I had so much fun reading Engaged in Espionage! Amelia is one of the funniest FMC’s I’ve ever read and I loved getting to see more of her and Caleb! Don’t miss out on this short story if you loved Date With Danger!

I was sooo excited to hear that there will be a novel with the characters from 'Date with danger'!! I looved it so, so much!🩵 I must thank Jenessa for the opportunity to read this book in advance🤗.

This story covers a secret mission Caleb was taking part of, which, obviously, was tampered by Amelia's recklessness😅. Known for her bubbly personality, Amelia was again so much fun to follow. I laughed so, so much throughout this short story, being impossible to contain myself. I was so curious to see in what strange situations she will get herself in and how everything will be solved in the end.

I looved how Caleb and Amelia's personalities were total opposites! Caleb was so calm and calculated, while Amelia was pretty much a mess, in the very best and fun way. She was pretty impulsive, rarely thinking in advance at what could might happen if she was going to do certain things. But this was all the charm of this story, that when love strikes, you will like every detail about your half, no matter in what dangerous situations they put themselves in.

If you cannot tell from everything I previously said, I enjoyed this novel so, so much and it was so satisfying to go back to these characters and story, which are so lovable. It's a must read if you like romantic suspense, with lots of comedy parts too 🤭.

What a fun book! Seeing Amelia and Caleb made me so happy and I couldn’t put this down. I loved seeing them together after the events of Date with Danger. There were so many sweet and funny moments that I reread because they were just so good. I really hope we can get more stories about these characters cause they are absolutely adorable. Amelia can’t help but find danger, and Caleb is always there to get her out of it. They are absolutely perfect for each other.

Engaged in Espionage, the first short story in the Caught in Chaos collection, is a fast-paced and fun continuation of Amelia and Caleb’s story, picking up after Taken With Trouble. Amelia had me laughing from the first page, as always, while Caleb brought the perfect balance with his steady presence. Engaged in Espionage is a short story, following Amelia and Caleb, who we first met in Date with Danger. While you may be able to enjoy this one on its own, I think those who have read that previous book will get the most out of it.

Date with Danger is one of my absolute favorites, so I was thrilled to have a chance to catch up with Amelia and Caleb... no matter how brief. This one absolutely did not disappoint. Amelia is once again back with her usual antics, taking us on a quick adventure through Vegas with lots of danger... and even more laughs. Jenessa Fayeth does banter and humor so well, and this truly is another fantastic example of just that. I'm not sure I stopped smiling from start to finish. This is a quick read, easily finished in just one sitting but a perfect catch up with these characters that I already adore and so much fun. I loved it!

Starring Ameila & Caleb in a rom com short story. This story follows on from their book DATE WITH DANGER (if you haven’t read that book, what are you doing, it is such an amazing book, and you should read it). He’s undercover and she misses him. But he has a secret, if Ameila can find out what it is she can keep it. Easy because she knows what it is. Except, like usual danger finds her, but can she find a way out of the mess. Again.

Caleb's clearly learnt nothing because you don’t challenge Amelia. I do just love them and their dynamic. It's everything. Amelia is my perfect fmc. She is a strong independent woman but she know when she needs help and when and how to ask for it. But Caleb complement her so well, letting her do things for herself but still being supportive and protective. To have there ending is both perfect because the whole book and end fit them so well. However, my only complaint is that this book means that their story is over over, and I wish it wasn't because I love them so so much.

I absolutely loved this little suspense adventure with Amelia and Caleb again! Amelia’s character cracks me up so I was excited to see more of them together in this short novella. I definitely recommend reading book 1 in the series before reading this short story. But this book really “ties the knot” perfectly for this couple. (No pun intended.) If you enjoy romcoms and suspense then you’ll love how fantastically Jenessa puts these two genres together.

Book 3 in Caught in Chaos Series - Caleb and Amelia are one of my favorite book couples. This story is so fun and so so Amelia and Caleb. I cannot recommend this whole series enough. Jenessa packs a punch in a short story. There is adventure, danger, love, and of course Amelia getting herself in so much trouble 😂. I don’t know how she does it but I love it for her because it gave her Caleb.

As a side note I loved “Not On Your Life”, (Connor & Maddie’s book, and poor Maddie getting dragged into Amelia’s mess 😂. I was so excited to see all the characters again including Liam “helping” and Serena

This is a clean, closed door adventure romance comedy.

I absolutely adored every second of this one. Amelia is a freaking hoot, and Caleb is so patient with her and her shenanigans! You won't want to read this unless you've read Date With Danger first. If you haven't, what the heck are you waiting for?! Read it and then pick up this extra little gem for some more time with this cast of fantastic characters.

What a dynamite episode! I sure love Jenessa’s talent in giving us a completely enjoyable and fun ride! And I love how she calls this short story an Episode. We got exactly that. We get to see Amelia and Caleb again and all the crazy things that happen since trouble follows Amelia!

You’ll find yourself laughing, surprised, and smiling throughout this read.

Amelia is on a mission and her plans tend to go awry! Caleb is undercover and Amelia about blows the operation, luckily she has learned a thing or two from last time!

Both saving each other and getting out of scrapes is something I’ll never get tired of. Thank you Jenessa for the arc copy! I so enjoyed it.

✨I will say that You do need to read the previous two stories to have a background into the characters.

I have missed Caleb and Amelia so much. And it was so cool to not only see what happened after their book, but to see them live their life. I had so much fun reading this. I loved seeing that Amelia was still doing her shenanigans, and Caleb still loving her.

This is a short story that takes place after date with danger where Amelia tries to be a private investigator, and Caleb says that he will fully fund it if she can figure out his one secret, and she thinks she knows it. She’s trying to figure out his secret while he is undercover. And somehow she finds herself in the middle of the undercover operation.

Engaged in Espionage is a short but entertaining addition to the Caught in Chaos collection. It was nice to revisit the characters in Date with Danger. In this story the fun and quirky Amelia Quinn thinks she has found her perfect new career…private investigation! To get Caleb’s support she must complete her first mission: discover what Caleb is hiding. Seems fairly simple, right? Weeelll, nothing is simple when it involves Amelia! With undercover work, a trip to Vegas, a hot pink dress, false identities and more, this book delivers hilarious adventures!

I liked this cute novella, yet another book that's quick, easy, and cute. It's fast-paced and easy to get through. Something about Amelia, this book, though, just had me mad. I don't know how to explain it, but I just wanted to knock some sense into this girl.

The little epilogue was cute, though, I'll give Jenessa that. I do think I prefer Date With Danger out of all of her published works I've read so far.
This novella can quickly get you through your reading goal for 2025 as well!
If you've already read the first two novels in this series, I would say that this one is good if you miss both main couples. It's cute, it's fun, and it's fluffy! A perfect book for 75-booked!

I loved being back with Amelia & Caleb!! They are some of my faves, and I was missing them getting engaged during the first book. So to be able to get this really lovely epilogue was so great! Amelia is such a fun character, and I love how much Caleb loves her exactly for who she is: wild, quirky, always getting into a mess or trouble. But he loves her exactly as she is. I loved reading this!

Just in case you weren’t quite ready to let Amelia and Caleb’s story (Date with Danger) go, Jenessa gives us a short story that I’m sure fans will love. We get more zany adventures, snappy banter and just the right amount of swoony romance. No spoilers but this little gem shouldn’t be missed by Caught in Chaos series lovers.

Wait...give me a minute to catch my breath!!! I just finished Jenessa Fayeth's "Engaged in Espionage" and it's taking me a little time to recover. Possibly because I can't stop thinking about this fabulous adventure of Amelia "rescuing" her FBI agent. She's fearless, thinks and acts (recklessly) on the go, and never gives up. Thank heavens she isn't interested in anything but helping Caleb and thus the FBI and the nation! If she were to use her powers for evil instead of good...I shudder at that thought!
Fast paced, full of funny and obvious solutions (obvious to Amelia anyway),and fueled by her love for Caleb, Amelia is an example of loyalty and Caleb is perceptive enough to realize that he never wants to go through life without her.
I loved everything about this book including references to PSYCH (the TV show) and her sheer grit/determination no matter what the challenge. Wonderful characters, sizzling plot with only one flaw... It's too short! Guess I need to re-read the series to satisfy my craving for more. Hopefully the author will continue adding to the series!

This was the dramatic extended ending to Date with Danger. Amelia misunderstands Caleb's clue about their future and it sends her on a mission of epic adventure....and mishaps.

While attempting to find Caleb's father, she lands in a complete mess with national implications. When she learns that Caleb is now in danger she will do anything...literally...to try to save him.

Oh my gosh, Amelia is at it again and I am here for it! You can read this short story super quickly and it is SO much fun! Amelia is always getting into trouble so you know that there is no exception in this story. We get a glimpse of Liam too and I love him also. Caleb and Amelia are a hoot and I love them as a couple.
