[Siren Allure Erotic Paranormal Romance, M/M, with M/M/M not including the heroes, werewolves, voyeurism, HEA] ** A Siren Erotic Romance
I really am a true paranormal fan…didn’t realize how much, but I truly am. This story was your typical: mate, mine, shifter-human mating but, it has a history that I really enjoyed, and it didn’t shy away from the harsh reality that was Jesse and Taylor’s life before they became shifter mates.
Micah is freaking huge…like six foot eight and two hundred and eighty pounds kind of huge. And he’s the alpha of his pack of werewolves. He is big, rich, powerful, loyal, kind, and a sweetheart who is desperate to find his mate. Jesse is tiny…like five foot seven and one hundred and twenty pounds soaking wet. He is small, insecure, untrusting, abused, a talented singer, and a sweetheart who is desperate to have someone love him completely. These two are complete and total opposites except for what their hearts want, which happens to be each other.
(I admit I struggled trying to visualize these two men together while they were having sex, or even when Micah would bend down to kiss Jesse, because their size difference is immense. I still can’t picture it too well, and so I just shortened Micah a little bit and that worked.)
Unfortunately, Micah comes on strong; Jesse backs away; someone is trying to kill Jesse; and a ghost from Micah’s past is being a major pain in the ass…plus, someone close to him is becoming a Judas. There is a trouble a brewing in this pack of werewolves, and it will take quite a bit of finagling for these two destined souls to get it right. Fortunately, they have humorous Taylor to keep things lighthearted, even when issues are not so lighthearted at all.
I was entertained and horrified; the story was typical in a way and nothing too new in the shifter genre, but fun anyway, and I am looking forward to Taylor and Gabriel’s story; I hope they’re next.
I rated this a four because there was humor and I found myself laughing out loud. I just started the book and already Im in love. I have been reading was seems like the same old thing. This story is like water from a long thirst.
I won't rate this story because I barely made it into the second chapter before I couldn't go on. I've returned it for a refund. The editing was terrible. There were no breaks between POV's so it made it very difficult to know whose POV you were experiencing the story from. There was dialogue that had no quotations and was not separated from the paragraph before it. You were half way through a sentence before you realized someone was speaking.
Siren and the author should be ashamed of themselves for allowing this to be published.
rating: 4 stars Liked this book just as much as I did the first time I read it way back when. Loved both Jesse and Micah. Some of the drama was a bit over the top but all in all a good story
I actually bought the bundle to this series, so I'll probably try to review them one at a time. I love the Angel pack and how close and trusting they are of each other. The alpha, Micah, finds Jesse singing in a club when he realizes that Jesse is his mate. I enjoyed the mystery of the plot, and how the author doesn't let us know who the demented, evil, person is until he's found out by the main characters, and then it's handled in the perfect way (the only, and best, way to me). In fact, I love how the pack dealt with all of the issues that concerned Jesse and the well being of the pack. I'm excited to read the next book in the series. I enjoyed the storyline, and the world building was excellent. =)
This book reminded me of watching a good movie with bad actors. The story was not bad and I could feel where the author was heading, I liked the idea of a gay shifter pack..I mean come on a group of hot, sexy, Alpha males
...But anyway...Lets start with what was good about this book ...Hot Men ....A different aspect with it being an all gay pack ....Hot Men Yep thats about it, Like I said the idea behind the story was not bad. So Micah is the Alpha of the Angels pack that was formed when Micah was young and realized he was gay. He left his pack along with a couple of other members who were also gay and formed a pack for misfits and lost gay wolfs. He then meets his mate Jesse who along with his best friend Taylor (who was awesome I'll admit) work at a strip club where Jesse sings a Taylor is a host. Someone is out to kill Jesse and so on and so on you get the jest of it. So the story was good, but the monolog was annoying as hell. I HATE when an author puts a name with every sentence. Soooo if your looking for an invigorating read about shifters this is not the book for you. If your looking for an easy read with no cheating and an HEA then give this one a go.
Betrayal by Maggie Walsh is the first in the Angel Pack series. This is my first time reading Ms. Walsh and it will not be my last she is an amazing story teller. I loved her vibrant characters and wanted more of them. Jessie and Taylor have always had each others backs. It has been them against the world for forever. When they both get kicked out their pack, they still stay together. When Jessie gets a mate in Micah I almost felt sorry for Taylor. But I know he will get a story some day and a true love too. Micah is a wondering man, perfect for the shy Jesse. Micah is the Alpha of his pack. He is strong but fair. Very intense character just the way I love my alpha’s. Over all I loved this book Ms. Walsh has the great start to an amazing series and I cannot wait to read more. I can see this is going to be the start of an amazing series. I love the style that Ms. Walsh has to her writing. I am really excited to see more and find out which wolves fall in love next.
Original review on Molly Lolly Four stars! I enjoyed this story so much. It is such a great set up for the series with characters I want to know more about. There’s just enough story about the other characters to make me want to read their stories. Micah and Jesse are so good together. They have to overcome so many obstacles to their mating. I truly wasn’t sure they were going to make it. But they did and they both look out for the other’s happiness. Micah is sweet with his mate. But don’t mistake him for soft because he’s all alpha and won’t hesitate to let you know when you step over the bounds. My only problem was that I wanted to see Thomas redeemed. He made bad choices, and I get there were consequences to his behavior. But I love when an author takes a bad guy and finds a way to redeem him. This story made me want to pick up the whole series and get excited to binge read them.
Micah Angel and his Pack are all gay. They've come together out of one reason or another from different Birth Packs...I so enjoyed the many different characters of the Pack and the adventure they face when Jesse and Taylor come into their world. Jesse might be Micah's mate, but nobody can resist falling for not only Jesse, but also Jesse's best friend Taylor. I couldn't put this book down and I was so glad there was another book after I read THE END on this book.
Love the relationship of the pack members to each other. I really liked this taste of their world that the author is showing us. I wanted a little more story of the happenings around the pack. I will definitely read the next in the series.
