I did like this one quite a bit. It took the popular isekai in a game world idea and kind of flipping it around by giving an in game character access to the internet and ultimately the wiki of the game. which was comedic, like how it made them implicitly believe everything on the internet as they were the words of the gods because how could they know so much about the world. although parts of the epilogue ended up being hard to read because of this. you'll know what I mean once you see it, but it was good.

Too 'one note' 'same joke over and over' for me.
Very clever concept (possibly inspired by movie 'Free Guy' , which coincidentally came out same year as this light novel (original publication)...) Nothing wrong with that, most light novels are copies of each other these days, so the twist, the method of storytelling, the richness of the words, and the character development are very important.

This light novel uses the same idea but with less depth and character development, and was fun for a little while, but the "joke" gets old pretty quickly, and the main character is a bit too clueless. Writing was OK but shallow - more telling than showing - but a bit uninspired as well. Internet memes eventually just got annoying and didn't really add much.

Frankly, I won't be reading any further since I found myself thinking the Reinhardt character would likely end up being more interesting than overpowered, clueless Lorna. But the series isn't about him sadly. :)

Lorna Hermit gets kicked out of her home on her 15th birthday because of the useless skill she manifests called "Internet." I can only speculate how long it takes until she realizes she is in a video game universe. On the other hand, Lorna is a ditz. She may never figure it out.

Lorna inhabits a world in a game called Etalia. She checks the guide online and finds The Staff of the World Tree. The acquisition makes her the strongest witch in the world. It also makes her feel guilty, since she didn't do any of the things mentioned by Yggdrasil, the Tree's Spirit.

One other thing I can say about this book is that the translation is hilarious. They must have had a great deal of fun localizing all of the internet slang or collecting all the terms. So now we follow Lorna as she journeys from place to place and fulfills side quests and main-line story requirements with ease.
