He said all the right things...
Then left her alone.

Troianne Shelden is your everyday, intelligent student. With a love for history and stunning figure, she's a catch for any guy. But after a night of passion with a handsome stranger, introduced to her by their mutual friends, she finds herself pregnant with nowhere to turn for advice.

Her parents passed away long ago and, soon after Troianne finds out she's pregnant, her grandmother passes, too. Left with a large inheritance, she looks forward to life with her new baby.

Fate takes the wheel when she goes into labor. On her way to the hospital, she passes out from intense pain and wakes up in a very different place...

The next thing she knows, she's hearing carriage wheels and voice shouting for help. Lightning illuminates the inside of what was, only moments before, the back of a taxi cab. When the door opens, she's greeted by a handsome man dressed like he stepped out of the past.

In shock, she realizes that she's somehow traveled back in time--
...and she has no idea how to return.

This book for me had a love hate take on it… There was so MANY elements that will take the reader ALL over the place and I am not just talking about the time travel bit... You got this century, then historical then you have time jumpers (time travelers) angels demons death kidnappings immortals witches magic secret societies shifters… Then some elementals that oh goodness implausible...then the God things going on with... Some of it is good while other will confuse you ... A few of the time timetable of book seemed off then you add in the multiple POVs some improbable (but hey it's fiction right...) some sections seemed rush or it forced to find resolution while others droned on and on...the flow the story seemed off.

Overall an alrighty been there read it next book by another author please. Unsure if I will continue on to the next book …

3.5 stars… Contemporary Romance…that may not be something for everyone...

Time travel and historical romance all rolled up in one story! This was my first book to read on time travel and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. This book was well written with amazing characters. The only problem I had was keeping them straight with the titles they had along with their actual names.

The story is about a girl named Troianne who lives with her Grandmother after her parents passed in an accident. One night two of her friends introduce her to a very handsome stranger and one thing leads to another and she finds out she is pregnant. She tries to contact the father but has no luck even her friends are not returning her calls. Her grandmother passes away about mid way through her pregnancy and she is now left alone to raise her baby. She goes into labor on a stormy night and calls a man in town to take her to the hospital. On the way they are hit by a tornado and when she awakens from being knocked unconscious she is in a horse drawn carriage in a different time period. The home she lands in front of (for a lack of a better description) is a doctor and he and his mother deliver the baby and welcome them into their home. There is a reason why she landed in that specific place and time, but I will let you read the story and see for yourself.

Over all this was a great book and I am looking forward to reading book two… yes there is more to the story.

5 stars!!! I have to say that I really thought that this book was not going to interest me! As I was reading this book it got better with every page! Some where in the story I got lost! One minute I was reading about a woman giving birth in 2013 and then the next she was in the 1800's! But as I kept reading the book I began to fall in love with Troianne. One person who have you believe that no 21 year old woman in the year 2013 would talk like she is from the past, but I do know some people that do talk like they are from a different time but they are not. They picked up on how their families spoke. I think that it is unique and that the Author was not trying to be like everyone else. NO where in this book did it state that it was a true story, and it should not mock how people in the year 2013 speak. Sorry I got off of subject. Duncan, and Troianne were meant to be together, because the feelings that they both had the first time that they met each other . Let me say this no man would ever ask that another man take care of his kid even in the 1800's or the 2013's. Becker in this book is a real man! I loved how Duncan was there to be a father to Diana! This Author in my opinion is extraordinary, and very imaginative. 5 Stars all the way!!!!

Troianne is a spunky young woman who is still dealing with the loss of her parents some time before. She ends up on a date with a very handsome and ends up having a one night stand with him. Soon after she moves to Lexington Kentucky to live with her Grandmother only to discover Tori's one night stand left her with a surprise Tori is pregnant. She tries to get a hold of the Father but with out any luck. Later Tori looses her Grandmother and is left all alone in her life except for the little life that is growing in her stomach. When Tori is eight moths pregnant an usual occurrence happens and Torianne finds herself way in the past not knowing how she got there. Troi meets Duncan a very hot and sexy Doctor and falls in love with him lol . But even in the past Troi soon finds out there is danger and confusion. This book if full of suspense, action, humor and touching Romance. This is a very amazing story that I am sure you will enjoy reading very much :) . Although this is a time travel romance where the modern heroine goes back in time to 19th century England, (my favourite kind of time travel romance) there are lots of other genres in the mix which some readers might not expect or enjoy as it isn't obvious from the book blurb. I would label this as a paranormal/historical/time travel romance where you can expect to meet all kinds of magical and otherworldly enemies and allies.

The plot is quick paced, romantic and filled with action. The story grabs you pretty quickly and you can't help but sympathise with Troianne in her situation and root for her and Duncan in their blossoming romance.
I enjoyed all the secondary characters and there is plenty of scope for subsequent titles. I am looking forward to seeing how this series develops.

I am wavering between 3 and 4 stars for this novel as I think it could do with a little polish in places. But in saying that I did really enjoy it and I have already downloaded the next book to read.

* I received a copy of this book free in exchange for an honest review *

I realy wanted to like this book. There was an interesting story there. The problem was the writing/editing. A lot of details were contradicting. Like when Troi tells her Meemaw she tried contacting Becker, but he hadn't responded to her emails or calls. Yet, in two other places, it said she has no clue where to reach him. There were editing errors with punctuation throughout.
This is supposed to be a romance, but we just shoot to falling in love, without actually seeing the romance develop.
We have Terrance saying he isn't going to tell the "dinner party guests" anything, yet the guests mention him telling them.
It wasn't very true to sticking with the historical facts. We have characters that are not time travel people, speaking like they were modern.
I disliked the "baby magic" it just felt tacky to me.

I think some major editing needs to be done to this book, only then could it possibly be a 3 or 4 star story. As it is, it was not worth reading.

This book was very well written. Troianne lives with her grandmother following the deaths of her parents in a horrible accident. She finds out she has become pregnant after a one night stand with a guy she was introduced to by friends. She tries to get in contact with him with no luck so her grandmother helps her. There is a tornado one night and as she is trying to get to the cellar her water breaks so she calls a man she knows to bring her to the hospital but on the way there they get in a accident and she comes to in a carriage in the past. There she meets Duncan Bells-Whitby, Second Earl of Culsworth who is a physician and he and his mother help her deliver her baby. Duncan lets troianne and her baby stay with him and they fall in love while trying to protect her daughter Diana from people who want her for her uniqueness. I really enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more from this author.

I really wanted to like this book. I thought the plot was good but I found the characters to be totally unrealistic - for example when she finds out she is in 1863 her whole language for a 21 year old American girl completely changes to that era. That didn't sit well with me.
It was almost as if rather than go completely nuts and demand answers she just accepted the situation.

As the book progressed I actually forgot she was from the 21st century with the way she spoke and in the timeframe I found it hard to believe that she would just fall into that way if speaking so quickly.

I think without the whole time travel thing the book as a historical story would have been great, as I loved the descriptions of the elegant dresses she wore and could imagine them vividly.

Sadly 3 stars for this one, which is a shame as I loved the concept.

Normal college girl goes out with friends, has a few beers, comes home pregnant. And that’s the last normal thing that happens in this 315 page roller coaster ride of a novel that grabs you on page one. Time travel, telepathy, and witches! Evil stalks the lovely Troianne and her newborn child around every bend of the road. Ms. Gauthier weaves a tale of love and treachery across the ages that makes us WANT to believe in time travel. The beautiful descriptions of Victorian costuming and the duke’s estate were lush and vivid. The characters, especially Troianne and Duncan, were believably written and extremely likable. I highly recommend TROIANNE and I am eagerly awaiting the next book in the Time Travel Society series.

Her last night before moving to her grandmother's she has a get together with friends, they introduce her to Becker and they have a one night stand. She then finds herself having a baby. Her Meemaw is sick with cancer, and Troianne is actually there to take care of her. Her Meemaw passes away and now she is left alone. She has the baby a month early but during labor when on the way to the hospital she travels back in time to England. She has her baby there. She then finds her true love in England and lots of others. This book was given me by the author for a honest review. A long story but very good.

This was the first book I've read by this author, and I have to say I loved it!!! The fact that Jimmy Thomas was on the cover first attracted me to her book. I love reading historical romance novels and with the paranormal aspect, it was a very interesting read! I understand this is the first book in a series, and I'm excited to read the next installment!!
This story became more interesting with every page I read. Her writing style was wonderful, and the reader becomes hooked immediately. The characters were interesting and I loved the time period. I highly recommend this to anyone who loves historical romances with a twist!!

Densities changed by Fate
Welcome to Troianne’s world .... A world filled with many taunted mixed emotions starting from a time a critical time that is in her life where choices are not’ always made by logic, but more so by actions taken and events unescapable. From here Troianne’s life starts to unfold in new directions taking her on a path in a much familiar for one who has lived or is living can understand. Or’ so it would seem during the unfolding of Troianne’s life changing experiences you come to see and learn about a certain type of magic, which makes Troianne’s world a tale interwoven in a mystic way across time which is really Troianne.

What a Wonderful Romance

I love historical romance novels and the addition of the paranormal aspect made it even more exciting! I can't wait to read book two of this series!
The story line moved moved along and got more exciting with every page, and I love to hear the descriptions of the women's clothing, especially Troianne's wedding dress. This is the time I should have been born! I loved this book and can't wait to read "Diana's Magic" soon.
Congratulations to the author on the release and success of her first Novel!

Troianne by Crystal Miles Gauthier was given to me for an honest review. This book is a sweet romance that takes place between times. You feel for Troianne she has lost everyone and then all of a sudden she is in a place she has never been before and it is years before she is even born. Duncan has this beautiful angel that he has dreamt about dropped on his doorstep and he has some of the answers to her question. You have to read this book to see all the surprises and twist that Troianne and Duncan go through to get their happily ever after.

I love time travels so I was excited to read this book. This isn't the story of just one time traveler but a whole time travel society. Troianne is a young woman that as she goes into labor ends up in another place and time. There is a reason for her being there, she just doesn't know it yet. Lots of interesting characters are weaved in and out of this tale and I look forward to finding out what happens in the next book.

Troianne will touch your soul, bend all reality and keep you wanting more! A definite must read!!

I was enthralled by the on goings in this book. Troianne is definitely a masterpiece. Crystal Lynn Miles Gauthier will pull you into this book to the point that you can not put it down. All the time reading I'm thinking Troianne would make a magnificent mini series. Cannot wait to read Diana's Magic.

Wow, I have to say that I never seen some of that coming. I love how she kept you wondering what was going to happen until the last pages of this book. The Characters pull at her your heart strings and you want to go into the book to help them. I love the differences between the times and how she has to explain things to the Duke. So great.

You can see how much she worked on this book and it shows.

Ok, historical, present day, romantic, mystical, good/evil, time travelling, werewolves, lordy I think only a tattooed biker was, missing. BUT saying all that, there's a lot going on, but we'll linked, cleverly dancing through the time periods, relationships and events. Enjoyed this, even though I wasn't sure I would, nice surprise.

Not worth the time it takes to read

...unless you are just looking for a good laugh. The writing was unpolished and the characters flat and uninteresting. Not surprised it was free on Kindle.
