In their third great adventure, Dylan de Polka the dancing dray horse and his worldly-wise friend Red Tabby travel to Hollywood to promote their movie 'Under the Rainbow', while their friends from the Happy Days Circus wait anxiously at home. From being a pair of homeless refugees on the run, they had since shared a road that had led them to super-stardom. But would the cost of their success be the loss of what was most dear to them?
Writing was my first love, but an interest in film-making steered me in a different direction. Along with a good friend, I founded a London-based film company - editing and producing award-winning TV drama and documentaries. Our projects took me to Italy, Greece, India and then to Canada where I met and married a Canadian actor, Michael J. Reynolds and we settled in Toronto.
Working between Vancouver, Toronto and Montreal, I created and produced TV series for children; worked on scripts for television and film; and wrote extensively for various magazines. For ten years, I was the Contributing Editor of 'Britannia' - a North-American magazine celebrating the British way of life. Later, I founded and and edited a popular monthly newsletter/magazine for the television series Coronation Street's many overseas fans .
In 1998, Michael and I returned to the UK to live near our growing family. Here in Somerset, the green, rolling hills and sweeping skies worked their magic, and so the Dylan and Red Tabby stories were born...
The third book in the Dylan and Red Tabby series brings the characters face to face with one of their biggest challenges - the price of fame. Can friendship survive mega-stardom? Will Dylan and Red Tabby ever return to Great Park and their friends.
Beautifully written characters and an action packed plot set in Hollywood make this a book that appeals to both girls and boys. Well written and also broken down into nice sized chapters ( very important when writing for children) this is perfect for the confident readers and also as 'a chapter a night' bedtime story
