Midnight Wedding is the first in a new series of stand alone mafia romances. It’s a full-length story with no cliff-hanger and a guaranteed happily-ever-after.

I read Tigran's book first and loved it. Had my introduction to him been through this book, I would've avoided his story like the plague. The insinuations that he frequently sleeps with hookers AND the implication that he doesn't use protection -- him joking to Arsen how strong his pull out game is *gag* -- are disgusting. Add in how he treats Lena, as if the entire situation is her fault, as well as blaming her for Arsen's decisions where she's concerned were annoying as hell.

I am glad I finished it. I adore how gone for her Arsen is.

I don't remember finding an FMC so freaking stupid! My girl has issues because she for sure is the example of curiosity killed the cat - almost literally. She finds Arsen's apartment door open and everything ransacked. So she takes it upon herself to investigate. Ok, fine. But then as the story progresses she continues to put her pregnant ass in situations where she could seriously get hurt. It's like she has OCD but I don't know if that was intention of the author. The book starts of with a heads up about Lena's curiosity but it was ridiculous. She's over here galivanting in secret passageways, unlocking rooms that are bloody with skeletons just laying around. Speaking of the room - it has been a bloody mess for YEARS but one good cleaning day and some elbow grease and it's all good. Um, please share tips because I need that magic in my house. All of that madness, plus Arsen kidnapping her, drugging her, forcefully marrying her - but the deal breaker for Lena is that he was so obsessed with her that he watcher her from aforementioned secret passages. Girl, priorities!!

Also, WTF was all that with Aunt Sonja or whatever. She's the main villain the entire story, then we get the twist, and flash forward - everyone gets along and she's basically a doting grandmother. Whiplash!!

Anyway...I didn't really enjoy the book over all. However, we did get a lot of my wife, touch her and die, moments which I loved. I do wish we got to see more things related to her pregnancy because I love a helpless macho man. Definitely did not get enough of that. Epilogue was cute.

A Love Worth Fighting for -
Lena had been crushing on her neighbour for a while, but she never got the opportunity to get close to him, that is until her nosiness led her into a place she had no business being. Arsen didn’t do relationships as his life was fraught with danger and chaos, but everything changed after he discovered his night with Lena had led to unexpected consequences. However, Arsen and Lena’s journey to happiness wasn’t smooth, as they had to overcome quite a number of obstacles and misunderstandings.

Unfortunately, not everyone was happy with Arsen and Lena being together, which led to family drama, violence, kidnapping, betrayals and the revelation of long held secrets, that shook the foundation of their lives. Nevertheless, even through their disagreements, Arsen and Lena found a way to work together to navigate all the troubles and ultimately get the happily ever after they deserved. This is a gripping romance story, with intense tension filled moments and the kind of molten heated attraction that will keep you glued to the pages. Fair warning, once you start reading, you won’t be able to stop until you finish.

Arsen’s upbringing under his father’s strict control was fraught with danger and pain. The slightest misstep by young Arsen incurred immediate and brutal punishment. However, as the current Pakhan, any display of weakness was unacceptable and unthinkable. His grip on the brotherhood he controls is tenuous, strained by the constant pressure of internal enemies, the sting of betrayal, and the ever-present threat of violence. It’s everything we expect from this author and her stories. This story is part of the new Armenian brotherhood collection; for more context, I recommend reading Valentin and Karine’s story, “Under Control.”

Lena is so charming and lovable, yet her impulsive decisions often left me shouting, “Don’t do it!” in frustration several times. Her middle name might as well have been Curiosity, because of her tendency to explore off-limits areas, she feeds off the of danger filled air around her. But when she can’t stop herself from investigating Arsen’s safe house and illicit activities, it should mean her elimination, yet he is unwilling to do so, and ends up becoming addicted to her. Their chemistry is nice and steamy, keeping these pages turning easily.

It was really entertaining to see his infatuation spin into addiction and all consuming love for her. The shocking plot twists and the clever way the story circled back to his past had me completely hooked; I loved it! Their HEA was great, and I look forward to seeing this storyline continue.

They say curiosity killed the cat, and Lena may just find out!
I feel that I am right there with Lena as she explores her neighbor’s apartment, because the door was opened! Yet when she discovers the place tossed, and cash lying on the floor, she toys with the idea of taking some to help her parents. When Arsen discovers Lena in his apartment, his actions are not as expected. Yet Arsen’s reign as pakhan is not without trials, so accepts an arranged marriage by his aunt and uncle to strengthen his position. Until he discovers Lena tossing her cookies, and he puts two and two together. Arsen’s change of plans might just be the start of a war, but he hopes his offers of compensation will be enough. I loved how Arsen and Lena get closer and the steam coming off the two will have you turning the pages. What follows are surprises you’ll never see coming and have you wishing for their happily ever after!

Oops....with one little mistake her world is turned upside down

Once again B.B. Hamel has done it ...... Midnight Wedding is a very entertaining mix of Mafia, surprise pregnancy, opposites, and a few twists along the way. But there are also some laughs as the FMC, Lena, is a spunky young woman who is not about to just cower in the corner. The burning attraction between Lena and Arsen is hotter than Hades and they curl toes and set souls on fire.

Curiosity killed the cat or so they say, when Lena sees her hot neighbour Arsen's door open and apartment trashed she gets found in his room with his boxers in her hand! That leads to a steamy hot night one, and a positive pregnancy test. But Lena is in for a surprise as Arsens the head of the brotherhood crime syndicate and when her curiosity leads her into more danger and Arsen learns she's pregnant with his kid it makes his obsession a lot easier if she's his wife, So he offers her a deal a fake marriage, (that will also get him out of another arrangement) and he'll look after her family but Lena doesn't know he's playing for keeps! Even if his enemies have other ideas. Well written steamy desires, action, twists and more!.

I had a lot of WTF moments.


Annoying FMC. I felt like Mmc didn't feel anything for Fmc. They went with the flow.

Mmc would definitely have killed her if she hadn't fallen sick, he would have even married OW if the FMC hadn't been pregnant plus it's not like he wanted her or needed her or felt a pull towards her... It felt like a fucked-up situation, and he had to take responsibility.

Fmc behaves like a brat, reckless and having a weird exploration kink, randomly explores forbidden places and her Pov irritated me like hell.

Additionally, she doesn't have a self-respect and self-preservation too.

Lena is the neighbor of the sexy Armenian mob boss of a Brotherhood crime Syndicate. Every time she saw him around the building he seems to always be in a rush running down the stairs like he's late for something and he never bothers to respond whenever someone says good morning. Lena works at Club Shade as a bottle girl. She had just gotten off work a little after two in the morning after working a long exhausting shift. Her feet hurts, backache, her head have a knot of pressure from the loud club music and all she wanted to do was to sleep. She noticed that her neighbor's apartment door was wide open. A normal person would have mind their business, call out to see if everything was okay or call the cops. But Lena isn't any normal person that could see something like that and walk away. Being in a place that she doesn't have any business being in is like a siren to her and open door was driving her crazy. Lena is naturally nosy and have to know what's going on.
She was always getting into trouble since she was two years all the way to now. She went inside the apartment where she saw that it was completely destroyed with glass glittering on the hardwood floor, a table which like it had been thrown on it's side and the entryway is cluttered with shoes. It should've caused her fear but instead she was excited. She was snooping around and came upon whole bunch of cash that had her salivating and wondered if he would miss it if she took some. But then as she push her hands further she came across a boxer. Then she hears a sound behind her and it was the hot neighbor and he had a gun pointed at her. He asked her if that was his underwear that she was holding in her hand and did she break in to steal his clothes. She was mortified and somewhat embarrassed to be caught with his underwear in her hands. She offered to help him clean up the mess and they work side by side together. One thing led to another and they had one passionate night of mind-blowing sex that had him thinking about it days later.
Arsen Sarkisian took over as the new patron of the Armenian Brotherhood after he helped the Russians kill his evil, psychotic abusive father. The Armenian Brotherhood is the largest organize crime family in America. His family has been in control of Baltimore and the outlying suburbs for three generations now. Ever since he took over his life had been a constant bloody battle after. Once he's married and his traitor cousin Saro is in the ground, the Brotherhood can start to heal. He'll be the patron, the main boss and the leader while Garen will be his right hand and his brother Tigran be his left. The Brotherhood will be united again and they will be able to begin the long process of healing their wounds and growing their power. Arsen tracked down Saro to his club and killed him but the murder was witnessed by Lena. He knew that the sensible thing is to kill her but he was struggling with the idea and tells her to meet him at his safe house. The two ended up having sex again and immediately after she rushed to bathroom to vomit.
Arsen went to get a pregnancy test and found out that she was pregnant which changes everything. His auntie Sona and uncle Garen had set-up a marriage arrangement where he marry someone from his uncle side of the organization to stop the internal war. He knew that if he didn't marry her that her life would be in danger. So he forced her to marry him and promised to take care of her family's expenses and buy her parents a good home. The family still went to a war because he marry Lena when he found out that she was carrying his heir. Arsen was obsessed and addicted to his wife in a strange way. Arsen was an unhinged sociopath with years of trauma. They were so many bloodshed of families and surprising plot twist of Arsen parentage. He found out that his aunt Sona was his biological mother and his was the ruthless decease Russian Bratva pakhan Boris Zeitsev. He and Sona had an affair until she became pregnant when she was in college and her brother Aram raised him as his own because it would bring shame to family's name if anyone found out that Sona was his mother. He finally understood by his father and abuser was so evil, vile and vicious towards him and why he always felt different from his brother Tigran. With the help of his wife and brother he was able to accept the changes of his identity and moved the Brotherhood into a new era away from the old ways.

Interesting concept, poor writing.

I skimmed the book after reading the first chapter because the writing was really poor. The book is littered with run on sentences that you have to read slowly to make sense, fragmented sentences, and just general syntax errors. I had a hard time following it, as it reads like a line of thought. Good ideas and concepts, just needs to be better written.

MIDNIGHT WEDDING is the first instalment in BB Hamel’s contemporary, adult, Mafia romance series of stand alone story lines. This is the new head of the Armenian Brotherhood Patron Arsen Sarkissian, and Lena’s story line.

NOTE: Due to the nature of the story line premise, there may be triggers for more sensitive readers.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Arsen and Lena) MIDNIGHT WEDDING follows in the aftermath of a one-night stand between our story line couple. Several weeks earlier, Lena walked into her neighbor’s apartment, an apartment destroyed by an unknown enemy. Accused of trespassing and theft, Lena finds herself a willing victim of Arsen Sarkissian, the new Patron of the Armenian Brotherhood but as the weeks go by, Lena will discover she is pregnant, and Arsen is determined to claim our heroine as his own. All is not well within the Armenian Brotherhood, they are at war with themselves as well as the Russians, and Lena is about to be caught in a war between family and blood when she witnesses a crime she cannot forget.

The world building follows several paths including Arsen’s rise to power following the death of his father: Lena’s need to explore and venture into places unknown; Arsen’s abnormal and damaging childhood; his unwavering trust in the woman with whom he will fall in love; and the possible betrayal by the people who have yet to swear fealty to the man in charge.

The relationship between Arsen and Lena begins as a one-night stand that will escalate when Lena discovers she is expecting Arsen’s child. Arsen is supposed to marry a nice Armenian girl but Lena is the woman that calls to his heart, a woman that is about to upset the Armenian Brotherhood order. The $ex scenes are provocative and intense but I dislike the use of a certain four-letter word.

We are introduced Arsen’s brother Tegran; their aunt Sona and uncle Garen; housekeeper Maud, as well as Lena’s parents and her brother Vadim.

MIDNIGHT WEDDING is a story of betrayal and vengeance, power and control, secrets and lies, family and relationships, acceptance and love. The premise is dramatic, twisted and gritty; the romance is spicy and edgy; the characters are determine, dynamic and sassy.

She has noticed the hot neighbor, but she has been busy working and helping her family care for her sick mom. Until the night she gets home from work to his door open and the apartment trashed. She can't help herself from going in to see if he is hurt, but he isn't even home, until he walks in and finds her amidst the mess holding pair of his underwear. She is embarrassed, but also fascinated by this hot man and ends up giving into lust. She has the hottest and most erotic night of her life, and then the next day it is over. Until weeks later she realizes that he left something with her, and when he finds out he insists they get married. She also doesn't know that he is a mafia boss. This was an unexpected big win for me. I didn't get how impressive the characters were going to be from the description but they were better than advertised. They are unique and quirky. He is a big, bad, hunky mafia crime boss, who falls crazy hard for her. He is obsessed with her. Everything about her. He even develops some unusual kinks about her. He is funny and weird and every bit the psycho she calls him. She has just been surviving for so long she forgot how to live, and when she marries him she suddenly has time for herself and discovers she is pretty crazy about her psycho husband. She is quirky and weird and has a strange fascination with exploring which has gotten her in some hot water over the years. There is mafia crime family drama to be navigated in the midst of them building their relationship, but they do build it amongst the chaos. They have chemistry that is so sizzling hot, there are so many pushing the boundaries steamy spice scenes. They have humor with each other and find the match to their darkness and light in each other. They do end up with their hard won happily ever after, but the journey on this was just as much fun as their ending. They are over the top, a crazy match, that absolutely is a page turning read.

Lena lives with her family in a three bedroom apartment. Her mother is fighting cancer and her father is working double shifts. Lena works at Club Shade as a bottle girl. It is just after two in the morning when she is getting home from her shift. Her hot neighbor’s apartment door is wide open. Curiosity gets the better of Lena and she goes in. The place is a wreck. She finds a bunch of money on the floor when there is a sound behind her. The hot neighbor is standing there pointing a gun at Lena. When her realizes that she is his neighbor, he puts the gun away.

Arsen Sarkissian is the hot neighbor. Lena helps him clean up the mess. Arsen tells her to go home and pretend that the night never happened. Lena flirts with him and they end up making out and more. Arsen is the patron of the Armenian Brotherhood. His brother Tigran is his second in command. Arsen conspired with another mafia group to have his father killed. His cousin Saro and his Uncle Garen and Aunt Sora are trying to take over. Arsen made a deal with his uncle to marry a woman from Garen’s side of the organization to unite the Brotherhood. They are going to eliminate Saro. Saro owns Club Shade.

It is a month after Lena’s encounter with Arsen and she has not seen him since then. She has been throwing up all the time. Her brother Vadim jokes that maybe Lena is pregnant. Her mother begs Lena to go to a doctor. At Club Shade, Lena feels sick and goes to use Saro’s private office bathroom. She comes out and sees a side door open and of course, she is curious. Lena sees two men standing over Saro. Saro is begging Arsen for his life but Arsen kills Saro and Lena witnesses it. She runs. Arsen has Lena come to his apartment to talk to her. They end up fooling around again and then Lena bolts for the bathroom to throw up.

I loved that Arsen was obsessed with Lena from the beginning. I also liked that Lena challenged Arsen and the rest of the family. Another good story.

Lena neodolá nikdy otevřeným dveřím... a tak potká svého sexy souseda jak ji míří na hlavu zbraní zatímco ona svírá v ruce jeho spodní prádlo :D Opravdu šla jen zkotrolovat jestli žije potom co jeho byt byl obrácen celý vzhůru nohama, ale zvědavost ji nedala a začala skoumat i další věci co našla v bytě.
Nabídne že pomůže s úklidem a nakonec spolu končí v roztrhané posteli ..... pár týdnů později, ona svěděk vraždy jejího šéfa rukou sexy souseda a pozitivní těhotenský test.
A tak začíná náš příběh, v hlubeké noci, unavený a vyděšený knež a hrdinka ve svatebních šatech si bere krále města. Začíná tím rodinný mocenský boj.


- Lena postava co se jen tak nevidí.
= Říká se, že kočku zabila zvědavost, ale zdálo se, že tato kočka má více než sedm životů. Její způsob myšlení a věci, které dělala, až jsem se přistihla jak se směji jejímu šílenství.

- Arsen , těžké dětství které zanechalo jizvy na kůži, domě i vnitřně. Šéf mafie, potýkal se s mocenskými boji a činil drastická rozhodnutí.

Byla jsem ohromena všemi věcmi, které se staly, a záhadami, které obklopovaly jeho život. Spousta dramatu, napětí a zábavy, která mě udržela při čtení překvapená zvraty, kterými se příběh ubíral a jak se věci vyřešily.

An okay book which could have been really good but i had an issue with some things.
Arsen being all about family and his baby in Lena yet he was really rough on her - moving her and slamming her to wall. Lena was supposed to be smart yet she had no regard for the child in her but kept on doing things because "curiousity" but it felt more like she was obsessed and had no control over her self and at times she lacked common sense.
No professional would ever do piercings for a pregnant woman. Having bellybutton pierced and being pregnant is hard enough if the piercing is old - some can go with pregnancy jewelry like I did but some have to give it up so having it done while pregnant makes no sense whatsoever. Then there's the fact she doesn't express any pain from the new piercings or care about their aftercare both made this scene even more unrealistic. I felt like the pregnancy was taken too lightly and there wasn't any discussions about thw upcoming baby or how it was going - no checkups or talk about it. And as soon as Lena said 'I do' her morning sickness stopped.
Also in the end Lena got hypocrite with Arsen which is something that annoyed me.
So Lena and Arsen were okay characters but these weird aspects made me not enjoy the book as much as i hoped.

In Midnight Wedding, Lena is always getting into trouble by wandering into places she shouldn’t. She just can’t help it, she sees it as a thrill. When she sees her hot neighbor’s door is open, she just has to go inside and explore. However when she’s going through his things, he catches her. Her neighbor is not just any man, he’s Arsen Sarkissian, the leader of The Brotherhood.

There is instant chemistry between them when they meet which leads to a passionate night together. Lena later finds out she’s pregnant. When she tells Arsen, he offers to take care of her family if she marries him and raises their baby together. One thing to know about Arsen, is that he is loyal to family.

B.B Hamel introduces us to the Armenian organized crime organization known as The Brotherhood. We see their daily life, how they deal with traitors, and prepare for war. This story was filed with amazing banter and lots of action. I was laughing and crying. Arsen is so obsessed with Lena, it’s hilarious. There were so many twists I did not expect. I was on the edge of my seat when one twist left me speechless. I’m excited to lean more about this world. I can’t wait for the next book!

Such a great book! Although I really enjoyed the characters, I found myself equally exasperated and amused by Lena. She's a great character but the girl had no sense of self preservation. I guess she never heard that curiosity killed the cat. Arsen is a pretty typical alpha hole, but I loved the fact that he was willing to blow up his life to be with the woman pregnant with his baby. Lots of exciting action, violence, murder, plenty of steamy hot interludes, and surprising twists kept me reading to the last page. A must-read happily ever after mafia romance that I recommend to other readers.

This book features Lena a young women with a strong curiosity streak. It gets her into trouble. But when her mother is diagnosed with cancer she is determined to give it up. Until the gorgeous mysterious stranger living down the hall leaves his door open the temptation to explore is too strong. Arsen finds his beautiful neighbor in his trashed apartment holding his boxer briefs. What is he going to do with his little thief? Their mutual attraction leads to more than a one night stand. When she witnesses a hit behind the nightclub she knows she’s in dangerous territory. Then Arsen figures out that she’s pregnant and all bets are off. There is no way he can turn his back on family. And now Lena and their baby are family. Can they make this work? Can he smooth things over with the split in the Brotherhood? When the war heats up again can Arsen do the right thing? This story is full of danger and steamy romance. It is fast paced and has lots of twists and turns. It’s stories like this that has B B Hamel at the top of my authors to follow list.

When circumstances and danger enveloped her, Lena was forced to accept her new reality and despite the fight she intended to offer, her feelings, her emotions and her heart were already compromised. I love how the author keeps me on the edge of my seat. Lena's character was certainly out of the ordinary for me. They say that curiosity killed the cat, but this cat seemed to have more than seven lives. I was intrigued by her way of thinking and the things she did. Several times I found myself chuckling at her craziness. Arsen had endured tumultuous experiences that had left him affected. As head of his syndicate Arsen had to face power struggles and make drastic decisions. I was amazed by all the things that had happened and the mysteries that surrounded his life. Lots of drama, suspense and entertainment that kept me reading surprised by the twists and turns the story took and how things were resolved. I like how each time the story of another character who has been involved in the monster's fight is presented.

Gripping Dark Mafia Romance
Lena’s hot neighbor strikes her as overly private and kind of an asshole. Definitely not the open-door type, but when she finds his door open at two in the morning it is a nightmare for her. She cannot deny her curiosity. Falling for that curiosity changes her life forever. Arsen Sarkissian, patron of the Armenian Brotherhood, is technically engaged to be married, in order to end the war. Once he is married and his traitor cousin Saro is in the ground, the Brother hood can start to heal. After finding his gorgeous little Russian neighbor in his apartment he cannot get her off his mind. Being close to her makes his skin prickle with anticipation. He tries to avoid her, but that’s not an option. Book One of B.B. Hamel’s new series is a gripping dark mafia romance with intriguing twists and turns that had me flipping pages as fast as I could. It is a standalone without any cliffhangers, but I am definitely looking forward to reading more in this new series.

I really liked the story although at times it dod seem to drag on. Lena has always been curious seeking out places she should be so when she sees her neighbours apartment open she can't help herself. She goes into the apartment finding if wrecked so starts looking for anybody if maybe they are hurt but then she's caught by the big brooding owner Arsen.
There's instant attraction & chemistry between them leading to a steamy night of passion which results into a surprise baby & them entering into a unexpected marriage arrangement.
By marrying Lena he's destroyed an agreement between his warring family which is seen as betrayal & danger but he'll do anything to protect his new family with Lena.
Although in possible danger Lena can't help it but her curiosity only gets worse the more Arsen tells her to stay away from places but secrets could end any love that maybe growing between them.
This story has sweet, steam, sass, pain, bloodshed & secrets that keep you on your toes till the end.

This mafia romance follows FMC Lena and MMC Arsen.

A daringly adventurous Lena sees her neighbors door wide open in the middle of the night and even though all signs (the smashed glass... gun and bundles of cash...) point to danger, she just can't help herself and ends up ~embroiled~ with her intriguingly mysterious neighbor, Arsen.

Unbeknownst to Lena, Arsen is the leader of an organised crime group and has agreed to marry somebody else in order to secure peace for his family...

A marriage that seemingly becomes impossible for Arsen to even consider when he discovers Lena is pregnant with his child.

I read this book in one day, I just couldn't put it down.

It has insta-lust, a morally grey MMC, interesting family dynamics and what's not to love about an unplanned pregnancy trope!?

P.S please give us Tigran's story!.

MY THOUGHTS:
I was invested from the beginning because the writing style of the author really got me hooked and the mystery surrounding the "brotherhood" was really interesting. The chemistry between Lena and Arwen is also fun to read because even though he is the patron, Lena has a backbone to her and wants the partnership and not be kept in the dark which is refreshing to read. I really like her character because she is loyal and sticks with him but also doesn't take any bs from the people around her. The ending was a total explosion and getting their HEA was a long time coming yet, I already felt it throughout the book.

I absolutely devoured this book! BB Hamel kept popping up on my Facebook and the quote it came with this book, I knew I need this book in my life like yesterday! I loved it a HOT, SEXY, TATTOO Man yesss!!! But Midnight Wedding had the emotions. I was anger and sad , happy, blown away, back to being happy.

Arsen I felt so bad for what he went though with his dad to only find out that it was his Uncle the whole time and to also find that his mother who had been calling in Aunt total mind blown moment for me, I now know why he had so much anger and confusion. He just wanted to feel love.

Lena a girl trying so hard to help her mom who has cancer, dad working himself to death, and the brother who did knows what. Lena was such a noise little thing getting into things that she shouldn’t but she is person we call adventuress and a need to know everything person and she need to know her hot sexy neighbor

BB Hamel you came out of know where for me and I am so glad I grabbed Midnight Wedding it was such a great book.

4.5 stars! Lena has always been a curious thing. Getting into tight spots and trying not to get in trouble. When she comes across her neighbor's open door, she can't help herself. She finds the place a wreck, and then the neighbor, Arsen, catches her in a compromising position. She swears she is not a thief and even helps him clean up the place. To her, he is beyond gorgeous, and one thing leads to another, and she ends up having her first one night stand. She thought that was it but she ran into him again at her work when she was somewhere she was not supposed to be. He is supposed to get rid of her, but he can't seem to get her out of his head. When they figure out she pregnant, Arsen decides to marry her and pisses off the rest of his family. It's the start of a war that could be lethal. A couple of good twists keep you reading to the last page. Enjoy!
