Full name: John Herbert Varley.

John Varley was born in Austin, Texas. He grew up in Fort Worth, Texas, moved to Port Arthur in 1957, and graduated from Nederland High School. He went to Michigan State University.

He has written several novels and numerous short stories.He has received both the Hugo and Nebula awards.

Egy utópisztikus novella. Az embereket a távoli jövőben egy olyan parazita támadja meg, ami kieszi az agyukat. One of the best time-travel stories I've read, ever -- with post-apocalypse undertones and a very unconventional airplane hijack added to the mix. Incredible it could be done so well in so few pages! Recommended without reservation, rating 5/5 -- would give it 6 stars if I could."

There's much more depth here than in Millennium(novel). Varley cut many interesting arcs and replaced them with stupid Bill and his useless investigation.
Millennium(novel) was a 1 star for me, this one is an infinite times better read, it's short and tight story.
