The Truth About Angels: Angelic Encounters from a Biblical Perspective

Rate this book
Christians and non-Christians alike are encountering angelic beings more than ever , but what does Scripture say about the appearance of angels? In this revision of his eye-opening book, Terry Law presents fascinating biblical truths about both God’s angels and evil angels, while exposing false and dangerous teachings that use New Age techniques to contact these powerful beings. Exploring many real-life stories of experiences with angels, Law believes there is an increase in angelic activity because the world is on the brink of the greatest revival and the most cataclysmic events in the history of mankind.   The Truth About Angels will • What are angels, and where did they come from? • Are angels appearing more frequently around the world? • Do you have a guardian angel? • Are angels involved in healings or the working of miracles? • How do angels and the Holy Spirit work together?

The copy I read was published in 1994, which made it a bit outdated. However, the facts and Scriptures about angels, Lucifer, and demons are still accurate. New Age ideas and beliefs are also included, but I am certain that Mr. Law included much more on this area in the updated book, even though I do not know its copyright date. It was still a worthwhile read.

No human being knows all of the truth about anything. However, it is possible to identify real truth in the midst of error, counterfeit, subtractions and additions that are all presented as "truth." The standard by which all these stories, doctrines, reports and speculations must be measured is the Word of God.

Thank you, Terry Law, for telling us about angels.

excellent book look at angels and all types of angels as listed in the bible, this is a biblical view of angels and not fictional or mythical as mnay believe.

All views are pulled from the bible version a king james or similar style bible, looks at types of angels and the very few angels who are named in the bible. Excellent resource book for angels and very intersting. Could do a research paper from this book if needed and just a interesting read over all...

Biblical book about angels that I did as part of my Bible study. It had more stories of encounters with angels than I was looking for but did give biblical references so I was able to learn a few new things. Not bad just not the style I was looking for.

An excellent, Biblical study on angels and how one knows that they are dealing with angels of light or angels of God. An easily understandable book.

"God has a purpose and a plan for mankind, but we are not pawns in a divine demonstration of good triumphing over evil. God created us to have a destiny in Himself.
Jesus, the only begotten Son of God, paved the way for us to live in His presence with the Father and all of the holy angels forever if we simply receive Him in our hearts and confess Him with our mouths (Rom 10:9-10)."
(Terry Law, The Truth About Angels, Page 92)

I felt like I was in Bible school when I read this book and perhaps that was the author's intent i.e. to write this book, so that it would be used in Bible schools to teach on the subject of angels. At times it would use big theological words and I would have to get my trusted dictionary out.

I particularly liked the teaching in the book on God's angels and Satan's angels. He teaches on the characteristics on both. Guess what? In the end God wins and Satan and his angels are thrown in the Lake of Fire. For now, we have a real spiritual battle going on, but the Christian has 3 powerful weapons in order to overcome the devil and his angels:

1. THE BLOOD OF JESUS

2. THE WORD OF OUR TESTIMONY; AND

3. WE DO NOT LOVE OUR LIVES TO THE DEATH. (See Revelation 12:11)
