This is the second book in this series and having read the first book (which you need to) you are able to dive right back into the plot and Crystals life. I can't really go into detail but I will say, that this one is more center around family/and her kids and took a different turn then the last one l, but at the same time it stays true to the feel of the first one. You really have to just read it to understand.

We still get the action and other aspects that we loved in the first one, but I loved the feel of this one. I was shocked a few times through this one. The author kept me guessing and that's a great quality in a book.

This isn't your typical paranormal read and I think that's why I enjoy it so much. I can't wait to see what's going to happen next! I really don't want to spoil anything but if you liked the first book then you HAVE to read this one too see what happens next! 4 stars #2OCCJD

Bad Elements: Blood for Blood (Bad Elements #2) by Lynn Mullican

4.5 stars
Reviewed by Donna

I liked this book that was definitely a continuation of the first book. I would not have liked this book as much if I didn't read the first book. The main character named Crystal/Brandy gets separated from her life into an entirely different world!!!!!! It takes time and one horrific event after another to find her family again. A family that has its own secrets. She discovers that the world is not what it seems. The love triangle that developed is sweet and sad at the same time. It seems that this book ends with more discoveries and questions about her past and time being caged like an animal. I think this ongoing story should get a rating of 4.5 .

I got Blood for Blood right away after reading Crystal Dragon (Bad Elements Book 1) because I had to know what happened next. Lynn Mullican gets the reader invested in the character and the story line. The story is fairly well wrapped up at the end of this book, but with enough unanswered questions for the third book. I look forward to the answers in the next book.

“You have to control it! Otherwise it’s going to control you.”

****4 intense STARS****
The follow up to Crystal Dragon, Blood for Blood continues Crystal’s (Brandy) story. Conditioned to trust no one, it’s hard for her to believe that she’s ended up on her own son’s doorstep. Feeling a deep connection and a sense of safety, she lets her guard down and embraces the family she never realized she had. The lurking dangers has this hybrid immortal in a fight for not only her survival but her family’s as well. Can Brandy accept the reality she can’t recall? With the help of those around her, can she regain those buried memories and fully understand who she is? I’m ready to see what pieces are revealed next!

I loved this book, the second in the Bad Elements series, but you have to have read the first book to understand what's going on.
This book is more about Crystal and her family as opposed to the fight circuit of the first one. It's complicated and relationships have to be re-forged. These aren't books where you have periods of nothing going on: there's always something happening, sometimes it seems confusing but it all falls into place beautifully!
Well worth reading!

This is the second in this series and picks up from where Crystal Dragon leaves off. This is not a stand-alone and you will need to have read Crystal Dragon to understand what is going on here. This one is less to do with the fighting circuit and delves more into her family and her and the developments that have occurred during her absence. Lynn Mullican is a master storyteller. Looking forward to book 3.

Holy cliffhanger Batman.! Definitely read book 1 before you read this. You will have no idea what’s going on. But in this one Crystal finally gets what she’s been fighting for. Also a bunch of stuff she didn’t want. I really enjoyed this book. I really need to get boom 3! Holy moly I can’t really say much without giving stuff away. But if you like vampires, werewolves and little fight club thrown in, this is Definitely the book series for you.

Interesting follow up to book one. Honestly, I was wondering if the series would end here. Then that monkey wrench was thrown in the end and yeah, I want to see how that works out. Lots of action and suspense in book two. Crystal is hanging out with the family now. She and Tristan are a good pair. I like them together. But there are some shocking secrets in this one. The last fight wasn’t quite as exciting as I thought it would be, but it was a good read! I can’t wait to read the next book!

Book 2 in the series, and it did not disappoint.

Lynn Mullican pulls you back into Brandy/Crystals world, with a bang, things that you were unsure of become clearer and explained, she reunited with her son and daughter, meets grandkids she didn't know she had, fearful of bringing harm to them she tells them she is leaving and they convince her to stay.

Her 2 children are special, and she had no idea that her husband was the cause, nor that he was the reason all her troubles started.

A face from her past turns up, Tristan, he makes her feel safe, strong and the attraction between them grows.

We find out that Jace is still very much in the picture and so is another player, both equally dangerous to her, but one more so than the other, as Crystal is special, but Jace doesn't know exactly how special she becomes.

Again fantastically well written story, more players, other interesting additions, Crystal is again a strong warrior, but concerned with making sure her family are protected.
I can't wait for book 3 as this story is fantastic, hard hitting, bone crunching and a great read, will be recommending it to as many people as I can

If you thought the first book was great, you will really love this one. In my opinion this book is better. You see more of the story about her family & kids. Mullican will keep you turning the pages so fast. You want to know what is going to happen and you will not be able to put the book down. I hope everyone grabs these books bc they are just that great!

Crystal has finally reunited with her family. But there’s issues that follow her. The vampire and werewolf’s are after her and now her family. With men from her past coming back into her life to help and protect her and secrets slowly being uncovered while new secrets emerge, the author tells a tale that grips you and doesn’t let go.

This is the second in this series, and picks straight up from where bk 1 Crystal Dragon leaves off. You will need to have read book 1.
I am loving this series, plenty of action, reunions, secrets revealed, truths discovered, love and even betrayal. If werewolves and vampires are your go to read, then you will love this!

Another hit for Mullican. In Bad Elements Crystal is still fighting for her life but now the life of her children are on the line. Every scene is thought out and researched. I can not wait to see what life has in store for Crystal.

Pace is great with conclusions occurring for some of the characters. Interesting twists that maintain the story right up to the finally page.

I really enjoyed the story of Crystal finding her family and trying to settle into everyday life. Will life ever be normal again? You need to read this series to find out. It's well written and the fight scenes are amazing. Reading book 3 now.

The Saga of Crystal Continues! I really enjoy this series. I tend to read a lot of Paranormal and to be honest, my eyes start to glaze over when I see Vampire and Werewolf nowadays. It seems like everyone tells the same story...EXCEPT when Lynn Mullican weaves the tale. This series covers what day to day life in the paranormal world could be. She does an excellent job of making us feel Crystal's struggle to re gain her family ties and to deal with her past. It also helps that Crystal isn't a wilting flower... she's a badass fighter in the underground Paranormal Fight Club! Thoroughly enjoyed this as well as Book 1 in the Bad Elements series.
