It’s a conundrum at the cultural festival café for Sayo. While he suffers through a day of classmates ogling his “adorable” maid costume, the popular Itsuki is swarmed by girls drawn to his handsome physique! Of course, no one knows that Itsuki is dating Sayo, but Sayo can’t help wondering—with so many other options, why would Itsuki choose him? Meanwhile, Itsuki’s playboy brother Haruto takes an interest in a mysterious honor student named Uryuu, but after he tries to get to know him, Haruto starts to have strange dreams himself…
holy shit i did not expect that character to be like that at all I LOVE THIS NEW COUPLE AND I STILL LOOOOOVE THE SIZE DIFF BETWEEN THE MAIN COUPLE!!! so fucking cute i wanna cry
3.5 stars. Unique concept continues. It's a bit disjointed, switching from couple to couple. I think the abrupt change from brother as a villain to now a slightly loving bully/teaser is also weird, but sure. Let's have nicer people who made a decision or two that went too far where no one was physically hurt. Just emotionally and psychologically. And, of course, he is the savior and pedestal dude to a lonely and traumatized senior. Things like this make me wonder if someone fell in love with the character design or that the manga was a surprise hit, so here's an abrupt change and zoomed in focus.
This volume was way funnier than the last one. I like Haru and Uryu a lot. Haru comes across as predatory in the first volume (and is described as a wolf in a comic at the end of this volume), but he’s actually a pretty sensitive guy. I was surprised by Uryu’s backstory, but I’m enjoying the dynamic between them.
I was honestly expecting to like this volume less, because it didn't focus so much on the main couple. But the second couple is so well written! Both the good times and the harder times they face, are done so well. I really can't wait to see more of them, alongside the main couple (*≧ω≦)
