Sinistre Ange has a dark,delicious and depraved duet that i’d been waiting to get my hands on.
Knowing she likes to test my boundaries,and knowing a little about this story,the moment i saw the ARC had landed in my inbox,i didn’t hesitate to grab it.
Having finished the first part,His Toy, i have to admit that i wonder if there’s something wrong with me for enjoying Bella and Alex’ story this much….and still wanting to hear more!

In His Toy,people have been living on the Moon for a long time,and Earth has become a place where criminals rule,with a warlord called the Wolf being the one on top.
Young people still traveled to Earth though,seeking the thrill of the possibility of being taken by him.
Because those that were,were always returned in good health,and with wild stories of what happened to them during their time with him.
But actual descriptions of him,those were vague….and it made him mysterious and intriguing.

Bella,Ken,Alex and Lisa were on holiday together,but after finding Ken and Lisa cheating on them,Bella was happy that Alex said they were ending their holiday and going home.
Only,the next thing she knew,was when she woke up with Alex in a strange place.
And the situation they were in,wasn’t good…..
She struggled to accept she had no control over what happened to her,but she knew she had to.
Alex didn’t just struggle though…..he didn’t give up,he kept fighting,knowing he had to.
It was a shame that the Wolf enjoyed his struggles so much,though.
And that he seemed to know exactly how to trigger him…..
Would the Wolf manage to break him,or would Alex find a way to survive his torment?
Maybe there was something to be said for the way Bella dealt with everything??

The Wolf seemed coldhearted and calculated,but at the same time,he didn’t actually harm either of them.
Yes,he humiliated them,forced them to do things they’d never thought they’d do,but he didn’t hurt them.
There were moments where Bella and Alex find comfort in eachother’s company,where you can feel them grow closer because of the situation they’re forced into.
And then there’s Trish,who’d been taken at the same time as they were.
She’d been claimed by The Wolf’s second in command Jordan,and he actually treated her well.

You wouldn’t have guessed it,but Bella,Alex and Trish actually learned things that they could use.
Little bits of information,that could mean a way out?
They had trackers implanted,and Alex had that shock-collar,but still…..could they hope?
And what about that dossier Bella saw,what did that mean??
I can only hope that His Pet will give me the answers i need so badly…..

This book is dark. Dark, dark, darkity dark. If you don't like dark then don't go any further. Okay, ready? Set in a future, alternate world where the rich live on the moon and travel to the earth for some dangerous fun. Alex and Belle were dragged into their situation by their other halves and then things end of getting even worse for them when they're kidnapped by the local warlord. The spicy scenes are SPICY and this is NOT, I repeat NOT a typical romance. Not even a atypical one. But there's more here than just sex scene after sex scene. There is intrigue and well-developed characters (including some great secondary characters). I totally understand why this is a duet. No way this could fit into one story. I urge you, if you like different, like dark, like spicy, check out His Toy!

This book is very dark, but also has its tender moments and has the main characters learning about staying true to themselves and growing closer together because of all they have been through Bella and Alex are just planning a simple thrilling trip back to earth when things go wrong. Starting with finding their significant others cheating with each other then them being kidnapped by the Wolf. He makes them do things they would never imagine, but at the same time you can see them growing and becoming more true to themselves as they learn more about each other and themselves. The characters are complex and especially by the end you see they are all more than they appear.

Staying true to yourself is what this first story in the Warlord's Captives Duet is all about. Bella comes to realize that her survival is in her hands, accepting that while she is a captive, in many ways she is also the captor. Alex struggles to show his understanding of the danger he is in: a complicated situation where he is both the aggressor but also the submissive. The Wolf's legend of sexual excesses, captivities and depravities have become well known and there are those who seek out this path. But knowing there is danger, and being in the midst of danger, are two different things as Alex and Bella find out.

Dark dark

'His Toy' is the first book in Sinistre Ange's "Warlord's Captives Duet." Before you start reading it, fill your glass with an icy drink and turn up the fan. You're going to need it!

Four friends are enjoying a trip to the moon together, but things didn’t go as planned. Bella's boyfriend, Ken, was caught in bed with Alex’s girlfriend, Lisa. Even as Ken and Lisa began screaming for a second chance, Bella and Alex decided to call a cab to go back home. But their cab ride turned into a kidnapping. Things only got worse when they came to only to find themselves shackled to separate poles in a dark room along with another female.

According to everything known to the public on the moon, the Wolf was notorious for kidnapping moon residents but would ultimately release them unharmed after their experience on Earth. Alex felt he had to protect Bella, even from the beginning, but more so the longer they were on Earth. He continues to fight the situation to their detriment at times. And then there are the feelings of guilt and shame, which are overwhelming after everything the Wolf has put them through. At the same time, something is awakened in Bella. Even through her terror, she finds an inner strength to submit and live through it all. Her calm is a tether to level Alex's emotions.

There were times when I wondered if the Wolf was toying with them or genuinely enjoying their company. Harsh one moment, then congenial the next certainly kept his Pet and Toy on edge. He has no problem with sharing them, having them perform acts in front of an audience, even humiliating them publicly but he never harms them.

And then there was Trish. Claimed by the Wolf's second in command, Jordan, who treats her well as if she's his personal submissive.

This is a deliciously dark and explicit read that left me with questions about so many things. I can't wait to read 'His Pet' to find out the answers.

This was a dark erotica book. It’s set in an apocalyptic earth where the elite live on the moon. Our two MCs are taken by “The wolf” someone known on earth to be a true deviant. This book is not for those who can’t read erotica and can’t handle heavy non con/dub con with dark vibes and BDSM sprinkles.
Our H, Alex is called “Toy” and treated as a S toy and has some fight in him as he himself as a man if forced to take …. Big things… in places he doesn’t enjoy. Our h is Bella who’s called “pet”. The wolf seems to enjoy both but seems to enjoy toy more it seems to me.

Somethings :

-This story is 3rd person and goes between diff people without stating who so as you read you will realize ok this is Bella, ok this is Alex and we get one little clip of Trish (who I’m intrigued to read about bc jordan gives dark but daddy vibes lol)
-Lots of action happening. Everything other page your starting back into another deviant game.
-NonConnie and Dub Connie

-bd s m things like floggers, clamps etc
-everyone watching
-others getting to use the MCs
-no real care for the MCs from wolf so the “romance” is more of the two MCs kinda finding comfort in each other and developing feels there.

This book was long and erotic as heck. If you love this kinda jam you will read this with one hand for sure. I’m not sure if it’s for me or not but I’ll give the second part of the duet to see first.

Bella didn’t think much about their trip Earth. It just a couple of friends enjoying some time together. But things didn’t go as planned. For one, her boyfriend Ken was caught with Alex’s girlfriend Lisa. They both couldn’t look at them. But when a cab ride out of the way turned into a kidnapping, things were going to get worse. Alex knew he had to protect Bella. The Wolf is one crazy man. His man Jordan is his second. You experience the dark side of power and capture. Bella and Alex have known each other a long time. You can understand the feeling of guilt from Alex. At the same time something is awakened in Bella. There are times I am not sure if the Wolf is just toying with them or actually enjoying them. As you read you so learn about Trish. I think I understand but am not sure of the reason. As you read you get this little tickle in the mind like you have an idea of why they were chosen. I guess when I read His Pet, things will finally come clear. Honestly, everything that the Wolf does seems to open up Bella and Alex’s world to more then what they ever thought. More secrets are revealed and now it’s a matter of seeing is they call can be set free.

Compelling reading, wonderful characters and plot which will captivate you to the final page
I thoroughly enjoyed this wonderful book the characters and the storyline have been wonderful and I cannot wait for the next book in this Duet. Wolf is quite the character he is strong and sexy and he will not take no as an answer and then there is Alex and Bella and both of these characters have been simply wonderful reading.
Alex is strong and his wolf fights at every opportunity and yet I like the character very much as he was honest and what you saw was exactly what you got there were no flies on this man and he was not two faced which was wonderful.
Alex is a strong character in his own way and is determined to keep Wolf on his toes and Bella is not a fighter as such but she is no chicken and she shows her strength by always being true to herself and by being honest with those she cares for and those around her.
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the wonderful writing.

I’ve always loved Sinistre Ange and this book is another reason why. Please check trigger/content warnings before starting it as it won’t be everyone’s cup of tea. But I loved it. Wolf is absolutely depraved and trying to figure out what he was going to do next was a spine tingling for me as it was for Alex and Bella. These two are phenomenal characters. They really showcase how strength can come in different forms. Alex is strong as he fights with everything in him to stay true to himself in this way. He can’t make it easy for Wolf . But there is major strength that Bella shows in not fighting as well. She stays true to herself by accepting she can’t change what is happening. But she can hold onto moments of connection. These two are going through a crucible right now and I can’t wait to finish their story and see what they become and what they do with this new knowledge and strength.

I have LOVED this story ever since I started reading it as a serial years and years ago, before the author was publishing. It was what introduced me to her and holds a fond place in my heart. Reading it again, revisited and edited, is wonderful.

The Wolf.. what can be said? Dark, twisted and so alluring in all the best ways. THIS is the template of morally grey book boyfriends I began with.

Bella and Alex's struggles, as individuals, as his newest acquisitions, are so raw and sensual but still there is a story here. Its woven with deeper threads, emotional pull and the reader is engaged beyond just the dark, sinister steaminess unfolding on the pages.

For anyone who likes dark romance, dark book boyfriends, morally questionable men and the things they do because they can, dive in!

I enjoyed this book a lot I would have rated it higher if it had not been 3rd person. This is a DARK book that has some tender moments.

The MCs are both kidnapped by The Wolf while visiting earth. They are holding on to the hope of what the know about the Wolf’s previous victims, they will be released but they will go through hell first. They are repeatedly r@ped, sexûally assaulted and tortured. But will they break before they escape?

Lawdy, lawdy, lawdy! I knew Ms. Ange would challenge me! She always does! So, check the TWs before you decide to read!

This is a duet, so the world and character building were crucial.
Ms. Ange did a great job with this! I was intrigued!

I always question, why I read stories like this, but I am always put at ease because, stories like this get written, and I'm not the only reader!

I think being taken out of my comfort zone, being edged (lol), provides the darkness so there can be light!

Can't wait to read "His Pet!" Dying to know what the ending will be!

Holy jama llama. You know that horror movie Saw? The one with the puppet that likes to play games? This book is that on crack with all the twisted mind games and spicy sex. Talk about a one handed read!

This book is insanely hot and so so deliciously dark. There are so many unique parings and situations! Hotness all the way around!

Not one hole is left untouched with this dark hot as all hell book. MF, MM, FF and even some incredibly steamy MFM scenes. I highly recommend this book if you aren’t afraid of the dark.

Most of the well-to-do people live on the moon. At times some venture to Earth for short vacations. That is how Alex and his girlfriend and Bella and her boyfriend decide to visit Earth. When Alex and Bella catch their partners engaged in cheating, Alex and Bella leave immediately. Unfortunately, the cab they hire, kidnaps them and brings them to The Wolf’s compound. What happens there is a totally unique experience for these very well-behaved moon residents.

OMG! This book is deliciously dark and unbelievably naughty, and I recommend it highly.

Dark and Intense...

The Warlord named "The Wolf" is horrifically heinous as he takes the roll of "puller of strings". The strings being his latest victims, Alex and Bella. The Warlord thrives on the pleasure and pain of others. Breaking them down gives him dominance and supremacy.

But Alex and Bella while bending to his will are working on an impossible task, to escape. The two of them have developed a bond with each other under horrendous circumstances. Secrets have recently resurfaced, and the hope is that this will work in their favor.

All I can say about this book is that is was very hard believing that people actually enjoy this type of story. It was very confronting and violent in certain sections of the story. Alex and Belle were taken for the pleasure of being used and abused by a man called Wolf. It was very disturbing yet I’m compelled to find out what happens in the next book.

Because I pretty much read these back to back I am going to review both. I have read books by both Sinistre and her alter-ego of historical romance and really enjoy her style of writing. Trying to decide which book I like the most, I think it is His Toy. But His Pet has a very nice ending. Both Alex and Bella deserve it. Filthy, Dirty, Outrageous and all with a plot. This isn’t your normal erotica/erotic romance because there is a HEA (I feel that it is HEA) at the end of this duology.

Well well well that was a lot of sex. So much sex. None of it vanilla. Take away the clothes, put a collar on the male victim and off the story goes. The author has writing skills. That much sex and the book still had a story, and it wasn’t predictable. If not for having an actual plot and lots of empathy AND a villain, the villain was crucial, I might not have made it through that much sex. I gotta confess that I’m now off to book two and I’ll bet there’s going to be a whole lotta sex.

Sinistre Ange at her best. If you love dark (very dark) and dirty, this is your gal. A cab ride to escape cheating exes, for Bella and Alex turns into a capture by the Wolf. Bella and Alex, long-time friends, discover new things about their relationship, about the Wolf's world that they had only heard rumors about. It is a duet, Warlord's Captive) - so more to go in His Pet.

This story is full of hot action. Alex and Bella grab you and pull you into their story. When The Wolf takes them and makes them his Pet and Toy, the story takes a hot turn. The unpredictable is to be expected. I can't wait to read the second part. This story has some intense scenes.

Darkly Erotic

Alex and Bella, now called Toy and Pet by the Wolf, who stole them away from their vacation. This is dark yet sexy hot at the same time. With a bit of intrigue thrown in. If you have triggers, read the warnings first. A great read.

I liked the Dangerous Games series and thought this’d be a little darker with a twist but it didn’t really land for me … not the characters, their development, the plot.

Too dark. It was also like she threw in things just to up the ante for the sake of shocking readers.

Writing wasn't great. It was repetitive, frequent grammar errors, and trite. The author also writes as Golden Angel, but that writing seems a bit better.

This is Intense!

His Toy is book 1 in the Warlord’s Captives Duet. These books must be read in order to get the complete story. This was a page-turner that I could not put down!

The plot reveals itself slowly and methodically. The characters are complex and will cause a love/hate reaction to some of them. The story caused me to be overwrought with all the emotions as I followed the Hero and Heroine in what can only be described as a dark path full of debauchery, kidnapping, sexual non-consent, torture and torment, psychological manipulation and government conspiracy.

I am immediately moving on to the next book in the duet, His Pet!

Interesting. It’s dark and there is a lot going on and lots of sex lots! In every shape form and combination.
