Duty is done and his home is now safe from the threat of the Crooked.
Koda Burke was ready for a rest from the breakneck pace he’d endured since arriving on this new world.
He’d fought, bled, and killed for the people of Amberpost, and been sent on his way with a pat on the head and a bag of coins by the town council. But at least people escaped the gruesome fate waiting at the hands of the Crooked. That was a good reward at least, right?
Having two loving mates already in Sienna and Arthene, with a third working her way deeper into his heart by the day, it was high time for Koda to just focus on his lovers and finding his feet in this new world. Maybe move into that beautiful house that the people of Silverstone had gifted him and sleep in a bed that wasn’t in a tavern for once.
But the reward for work done right is more work, sadly. Or in this case, someone from management poking their nose into things.
And for once, this isn’t a problem Koda can solve by creative applications of force. He has to keep out of sight and away from Silverstone for a few days to a week or two. So instead, to help prepare for the oncoming winter, Koda and his team decide to head out into the open plains on a nice, quiet hunting trip.
What kind of trouble could they get up to in the plains where the only occupants are a few roaming tribes and the great herds of bison?
Alternate universe, isekai, save the people, build a family, harem adult situations
Koda and his trusty friends from Silverlode, beat feet to avoid the Baron's men and set out to find more unclaimed places for the Beast Queen and do some hunting. There, they meet a hunting party from the Silent Plains tribe and learn about a band of ferocious trolls and meet up with Samira. Solid adventure as the party learn to use their new magic and face tough monsters.
I really enjoy this story. it is well told lots of action with well choreographed fights. the World building is well done and I enjoy reading about the characters interacting both everyday things and one or two spicy scenes that can be skipped as it does not detract from the story. I am waiting for the next to come out in the series. I am looking forward to it.
The adventures of Koda and his burgeoning harem continued in this fast paced tale. After dealing with the Crooked, the had to take their leave to avoid the Baron's men. The fought Trolls, and avenged wrongs saving a village of the planes people. Thing are looking up for them as his mates have a serious case of Baby Fever! You really should read this series!
For the most part this was a good book. It has one over long sex scene that did nothing for the story. And I don’t really understand why he’s all of a sudden worried about relationships. Pick a lane!! Overall it’s a good story and I’m looking forward to the next book

A very well written fantasy adventure storyline!!! Entertaining and interesting characters with a uniqueness to all of them that makes for a.good story!!! I can't wait to see what comes next!!
Wonderful story with characters who grow and develop. Consistent world building, which is sadly too rare. I look forward to seeing where the series goes.
