Chase I’m a no-nonsense man. As the head of a business empire, I have to be. I’m logical, cut-throat, and don’t believe in cheesy things like marriage and happy ever afters. But when my best friend asks me to be Best Man, I can't say no.
En route to the wedding, I get stuck at the airport when my flight is delayed, and this obnoxious woman sits next to me. Not only does she keep drinking champagne even though she obviously can’t hold her liquor, but she seems determined to push every single one of my buttons.
To my intense surprise, she turns out to be the bride’s sister and the Maid of Honor.
But that’s not a problem. I can behave for a weekend.
After all, my restraint and self-control are legendary in the business world. And I have absolutely no intention, whatsoever, of falling in love.
Hannah I’m a romantic. Even though my divorcee heart is still bleeding, I’m happy for my sister. I’m determined to enjoy the weekend.
If only the Best Man wouldn't be so completely intolerable and unnervingly handsome at the same time. One sensual dance and a stolen kiss later, I realize that there is more to Chase Sterling than the grumpy man I first met at the airport.
After the wedding, I’m certain I won’t see Chase again. I’ve got enough on my plate anyway, trying to save the inn I inherited from my grandmother. But when Chase shows up on my doorstep with a proposition I can’t turn down, things begin to get crazy. He wants me to work for him.
Will I manage to see this grump as my boss and forget all about our stolen kisses?
Time will tell. But judging by the seductive smile he gives me as he welcomes me in, I think not...
Another great start to a series, the possessive, protective, grumpy, and very sexy Chase kicks off the start of an amazing series, from the equally amazing Layla Hagen. I’ve had the fortune of being part of the ARC team and I love it, every time there is a book waiting for me. The Sterling men bring in many of the qualities we love about Layla’s reading style. The love for family, and the possessive and sexy spirit we love. Chase is the grump of the family and is the first to find love in the most unlikely please, during a very stressful time. Hannah came in like a hurricane and obliterated any no relationship mindset Chase had. It might not have been love at first sight, probably more love at first hate. It only took one dare, one dance, and a kiss. Hannah comes in with a lot of baggage but with an open mind, unable to resist Chase even though he becomes the boss. Neither of them stood a chance against the love bug. Can’t wait to continue getting to know the Sterling men. Great work as always Layla.
Hannah and Chase were destined to be together. The chemistry was there the instant they met. Although Chase is a millionaire, the story does not focus too much on it. Yes, he wants to help Hannah with the inn and he bought his parents their store, unlike many millionaire books his money is not a big deal. I like that Hannah is a strong independent woman who is successful.
5 Star review Stolen Kisses (The Sterling Brothers #1) by Layla Hagen
I was excited when I heard that Layla Hagen had a new series releasing and if Stolen Kisses is anything to go by then we are in for a fabulous ride.
This is Chase and Hannah’s story and their meet cute was entertaining.
Shocked to find themselves at the same wedding the attraction between them sizzles. It seems that fate has plans for these two.
I really enjoyed the development of their relationship and the love that they found together.
The Sterling family had me laughing out loud on a number of occasions, I just love their dynamic. and that just added an additional layer to my enjoyment of the story.
I spent most of this book smiling and was disappointed when it ended. I cannot wait to read more in this new series.
She inherited her late Grandmother's Inn and is in need of some serious help to save it. He has more money than he knows what to do with, and can't forget the maid of honor as his best friend's wedding.
Hannah is thrilled for her sister finding true love. But the best man, while intriguing, is completely off limits. So when she returns to real life and decides to get a job to sustain her grandmother's inn, she is shocked to get a job offer from the handsome best man.
Chase loves his brothers and has the privilege of working alongside all 5 of them. While financially successful, he has a few irons in the fire that don't include dating anytime soon. So when his best friend asks him to be in his wedding, he is determined to keep his own feelings about love to himself. But when he meets Hannah, he finds himself drawn to a woman in a way that confuses him.
Chase knows Hannah is too proud to accept his help. So instead he offers her a job that she is perfect for in his fiance company. Quickly, boundaries are crossed and intriguing turns into much more.
Dual POV, strangers at a wedding trope, Wealthy business man/brilliant hard working female, open door love scenes.
A fun story if you don't take it, or yourself too seriously. Just sit back and enjoy. Teo strangers meet with amazing chemistry. They dance around each other until the lines are crossed in the best way possible. Chase is a grumpy but a knight in armor for his family and now, Hannah. Nice HEA and Epilogue.
Ooh I was so excited to meet Layla’s new family, the sterlings have big shoes to live up to but I can very happily say Chase Sterling has come out on top. While he’s a grumpy workaholic he has definitely met his match with Hannah. The sweet, down to earth young woman is happy to put him in his place!
Travelling at the airport on the way to her sister’s wedding, she’s met with delays and an arrogant man full of attitude, he’s just mean. Imagine her surprise when she discovers Mr arrogant is the grooms best man and her partner for the wedding. While uncomfortable at the start, it’s not long until he makes her laugh and pair spend an interesting dance together, courtesy of Chase’s intruding brothers. That’s when sparks fly!
Chase and Hannah just seem to be the perfect match… she’s upbeat most of the time, sees the best in everyone and has a beautiful nature about her, Chase is hard working, smart and turns to mush when Hannah is around, don’t get me wrong the man’s got some serious alpha vibes… but together they are warmth!
I freaking loved everything about this book! It has grumpy-sunshine vibes, lots of steam, sexy brothers, and the best HEA. This might be my new favorite book by Layla!
These two don't have a meet cute. They have more of a meet argument. Then watching them fall for each other was perfection! Chase doesn't really believe in love but he falls hard and fast for Hannah. He does anything and everything he can to make her happy. I love that her happiness makes him happy. Chase is known for being a bit of a grump, but he has an amazing heart. I loved his interactions with his brothers too! Hannah is such a sweetheart! She's not used to having a man take care of her. She had her heart and trust broken by her ex. Watching her fall for Chase was beautiful.
These two absolutely stole my heart. I loved how Chase would surprise her just to see her smile. And Hannah helped him to see things differently. Love them!
Hannah, after leaving her job in finance, and getting her heart broken she is determined to make the inn she inherited from her grandmother's work. But things aren't looking too good and she decides to enter the workforce once again to save up for the inn and make it a success.
Chase, after watching his parents marriage fall apart, he doesn't believe in relationships. His focus is solely on running his business alongside his brother's.
Chase and Hannah meet at the airport, frustrated and worried about missing a wedding that they don't realise they both are attending and first impressions aren't good.
But what happenes next is an undeniable connection, chemistry, spice, banter and both of them falling in love. It was so beautifully done.
I'm obsessed with the Sterling brothers. These billionaires are so dang swoony and I can't get enough. Chase was so perfect for Hannah; he was exactly what she needed and when she needed it. Whole their first interaction wasn't exactly a meet "cute", this grump stole her heart anyway and I loved watching them fall in love.
I loved this third act. I was so sure a break up was coming, but instead we got corporate suspense and it was a lot of fun.
The spice went from 0-5-150 I swear it. One minute they're kissing and the next she's getting her kitty spanked and I was soooo here for it. While there wasn't a ton of spice, what we got was fireeeee.
The audio was fantastic. Maxine Mitchell and Jason Clarke did such a wonderful job with these characters and I really enjoyed this listen. Now onto Forbidden Kisses!!
A great start to the new Sterling Brothers series. I love all of Ms. Hagen’s series. I’m so excited to meet the rest of the Sterling brothers.
The family aspect of Ms. Hagen’s series is fabulous. You really get to know all the characters. In every book you see more of the family and witness it change and grow. The connection to the characters is amazing. It’s a great emotional journey.
Stolen Kisses is another awesome story. I expect nothing less from Ms. Hagen. Chase and Hannah have a wonderful love story and sizzling chemistry.
The best part of this book is the romance, of course. But, I loved the banter between the brothers. It was witty and funny. It was great to see the individual personalities. Can’t wait to get to know them all better as the series progresses.
What a fun new series of smart, handsome brothers who know how to push each others buttons. First up is Chase and Hannah. They've both been burned in the past and have the same feelings about marriage..and not believing in it. But when they both attend a wedding and their chemistry goes off the charts, what happens next is some crazy fate stuff.
What a fun, flirty story about a grumpy man who is on his way to his best friends wedding. Unknowingly runs into the maid of honor for same wedding, but definitely gives off not friendly vibes. Being thrown together, creating a chemistry neither planned for, see what this story will make things about for them. Great story about two people who find themselves when they least expect to.
This is a great start to a new series, and I'm already looking forward to how the Sterling brothers find their leading ladies.
Chase and Hannah meet at an airport, not realising that they are heading to the same wedding. First impressions were not great.
There is an attraction there from the start, but when they dance and Chase steals a kiss, things really start to heat up.
Hannah is going through a bit of a stressful time, and Chase wants to help, but she is determined to do things her own way. He's entralled and can't keep away from her.
I love the relationship the brothers have, supportive and teasing in equal measures.
- grumpy / sunshine - workplace romance (forbidden) - billionaire - supportive family - best man / maid of honour
A great new series introducing us to the Sterling brothers. Chase Sterling is in a bad mood, on his way to a wedding with his luggage missing and the flight delayed. He bumps into Hannah on the same flight who is on her way to the same wedding which is that of her sister but he doesn’t know that. He comes across as rude and grumpy but despite this Hannah still finds him easy on the eye but she is not impressed by his manners. When they eventually get to the hotel they meet again and realise they are at the same wedding. Chase is enthralled by Hannah and pursues her, we see a different side to him a fun loving, hot sexy man with strong family ties.Hannah has an ex husband who did not treat her well so she is cautious about a relationship and it is adorable to see how much she appreciates anything Chase does for her. Great chemistry, lots of family background, sexy times and introductions to all the other Sterling brothers. A fantastic start to a new series.
Stolen Kisses is off to a fantastic start as the first book in a new series from Ms Hagen. Centering on the Sterling brothers, this is Chase’s story, he is a determined, somewhat charming but also grumpy man. He is not sure how to feel when he meets Hannah. She is completely unexpected to him! I loved the entertaining banter from family and friends!! Very tongue in cheek at times! I admired Hannah for her tenacity & the way Chase cant seem to deny the sizzling tension between them. Can they resist temptation? A lighthearted, enjoyable read!
Minor review update on 10-3-2025: The Audible edition didn't have an image on *5-5-25 when I posted my review. It finally has the image, whoop whoop! Also, my rating was off and should have been Overall⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ all along, doh!
Story: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Author Layla Hagen is very talented at making contemporary romance tropes realistic, entertaining, humorous, steamy, and easy to read. With Stolen Kisses, we get a grumpy hero who doesn't believe in love and a sunny romantic heroine who is trying to keep her family's rundown inn afloat. Their meet cute started out rocky at a wedding, but that didn't prevent them from working together at his family-run brokerage. All that proximity and corporate brain flexing made them irresistible to each other IMO.
I especially enjoyed the little bit of corporate intrigue twist that was thrown in as a bonus near the end of their falling in love journey. Our hero has lots of brothers. Who will fall next? 🤔 I'm definitely on board and looking forward to discovering the answer to my question.
Performance: Jason Clarke (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ stars!) & Maxine Mitchell (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️stars!) I've been a longtime fan of Jason's narrating style, and he delivered another excellent performance for both male and female characters.👏🏽Initially, I wasn't a fan of Maxine's narrating style when I first listened to her narrate a novel by Aly Martinez many years ago. In desperation, I bumped up my listening speed and was able to appreciate her vocal acting choices much better. Her natural speed drags too much for my ears, so it was a huge relief to discover that changing the listening speed could make a huge difference. She's great at doing different character voices with distinct personality, and that's exactly what she did here with Stolen Kisses.👌🏽
Final thoughts: Grab this one if you enjoy the grumpy hero, sunny heroine trope in contemporary romances. You won't be disappointed.
This isn’t the worst book but I’m not sure there is much to redeem it. There is no chemistry with Chase and Hannah. There is no plot, really. The spicy scenes take up so many pages and do nothing for the storyline. You have the minor plot line of Cyrus and the SEC. But the secondary characters aren’t developed. I hope there aren’t sequels as I have no attachment to any of the other Sterlings. Save your time on this one and don’t pick up.
Layla Hagen has done it again! I absolutely LOVED Stolen Kisses! It is the first book in her new The Sterling Brothers series. I was hooked from the first few pages, and I loved every moment on every page of Stolen Kisses it was impossible to put down. Layla Hagen definitely did not disappoint her readers with Stolen Kisses and has once again delivered an incredible story filled with everything that I love in sizzling romance stories. I have discovered that whatever Layla Hagen writes, I will love to read. Who does not love hot sexy men, who make you swoon, strong females, loving families, and friends, who always support one another, and wonderful characters? I loved meeting the Sterling brothers. Stolen Kisses is the love story of Chase Sterling, CEO of Sterling Investments, successful brokerage ad financial services company and Hannah Levine, divorcee, who inherited her grandmother’s inn on Port Loma. Hannah and Chase initially meet in an airport lounge, while traveling to New York. Unknowingly they are the maid of honor and best man at the wedding of Hannah’s sister, Blair to Chase’s best friend, Josh. Hannah originally thinks that Chase is a grump, but her opinion of him quickly changes once they spend time together. I love the guest that Hannah discovers in her hotel room and what Chase does to help her out. Chase reaches out to Hannah once they return to California. Hannah decides to temporarily close the inn because of the low occupancy, until she can save money to make the necessary renovations. Chase offers Hannah a job at Sterling Investments. Things change between Hannah and Chase as they spend time together. Since Hannah’s divorce, she has not been looking for another relationship. Chase has never been interested in marriage since his parents’ divorce. Prior to their divorce they had to sell their general store that was filled with memories for Chase and his brothers. The general store is on the market, and I love everything that Hannah does to help Chase purchase the store for his parents. I love Hannah’s relationships with Chase’s nephew, Jeremy and all of his brothers. Conversation between Hannah and Chase flows so easily, with innuendos and playful banter, and Chase constantly flirting and dirty talking to Hannah. I love the heart-to-heart conversations that take place in Stolen Kisses. I love Hannah and Chase’s love story, and all the plot twists and surprises that changes things for Chase and Hannah, their relationship, and how things quickly heat up. I love everything that Chase does for Hannah, especially all the help with the inn. I love the changes that Chase and Hannah make in their lives to have a life with one another. I love how Layla Hagen always manages to create the "perfect" heroine, who is a strong woman on her own, to balance out the sexy, swoon worthy men. I am not sure how she does it, but Layla Hagen has once again given her readers another amazing book. She has once again proven that she is an amazing storyteller and continues to be one of my favorite authors to read. I really enjoy how she writes her stories in the first person from the perspective of the main characters. I love knowing what the main characters are thinking and feeling. Stolen Kisses is filled with all those elements that I have come to love and expect in a Layla Hagen love story, especially the poignant and bittersweet moments and the plot twists and surprises that filled this page turner. Layla Hagen creates such wonderful and memorable characters and has once again done this in Stolen Kisses. I love Hannah and Chase’s story and the descriptions of the setting. I love the characters and the family dynamic in Stolen Kisses, the characters feel like family and friends. I enjoy all the interactions among the Sterling brothers, it feels like real family love and makes me laugh at their teasing. I love the text stream between Hannah and Chase. Stolen Kisses was a wonderful love story. My favorite part of the story is Chase’s proposal to Hannah, the location of his proposal, the significance of the location and the engagement ring. I highly recommend this sizzling romance. I love this new series starter and cannot wait to read the other Sterling brothers’ books. Highly recommend this incredible love story. Received an advanced copy from the author.
Hannah and Chase's first meeting was...something. But now she's gotten a job at his company and they're trying to ignore their attraction. The last thing she wants is to be known as the woman who got the job because she knows the Sterling Brothers. But when they can't resist any longer, can they keep it a secret?
Chase doesn't trust easily. Thanks to an ex, he doesn't do love or relationships either. Then he meets a woman, that though she drives him nuts, she gets under his skin and he can't stop thinking about her. But now she works for his company and he knows better than to go there. His heart (and body) don't agree though, so what to do?
The Sterling Brothers are starting off with a delicious bang! Chase the grump, Hannah the sassy sweetheart but with so much in common and equally strong emotional and physical connections. The brothers are definitely an excellent supporting cast - their snark and playful banter is hilarious and witty, and I'm so excited to read their stories next.

Layla Hagen is my go-to author when I want something low-key, low-angst, emotionally undemanding, and easy to read. I’ve enjoyed her Whitney Brothers series and am currently following the Le Blanc Brothers series. Stolen Kisses, Book 1 in the Sterling Brothers series, met my expectations.
Chase and Hannah’s meet-cute happens at the airport. Unbeknownst to them, they’re both rushing to the same venue for the same event. Chase is grumpy after his flight is delayed and his luggage lost, and Hannah—unimpressed by his attitude—calls him out on it. When she arrives at the hotel, she’s shocked to learn that Chase is the groom’s best friend, and she’s the bride’s sister. As best man and maid of honor, they agree to put their differences aside and work together to make the wedding a success. A prank leads to a dance, which leads to a kiss. After the wedding, they go their separate ways but can’t stop thinking about each other. Financial trouble with the inn Hannah inherited from her grandmother forces her to look for work, and she ends up employed by the Sterling Brothers’ company.
The book was easy to read: two people meet, fall in love, and get their HEA. I liked that Chase fell first—and fell hard. Chase, Hannah, and the supporting cast were likable, though somewhat two-dimensional. I found Hannah a bit bland, and she was almost too perfect.
There were a few inconsistencies and, surprisingly, some proofreading issues—something not often found in this author’s work. Hannah’s divorce was mentioned as part of her backstory, but it didn’t influence the plot and could have been omitted. Her ex-husband making an appearance would have added more emotional weight, but he didn’t. Some plot points lacked logic—for example, Hannah being praised for persuading a shop owner to sell to Chase, when she didn’t actually contribute much to the negotiation. Similarly, Duncan’s dramatic reaction to Chase wanting to help Hannah with the inn felt overblown.
Layla Hagen knows how to write a good spicy scene, and this book didn’t disappoint. Her male leads could teach a masterclass in how to please a woman—that’s how well she writes intimacy. One thing I especially appreciated was the absence of contradictory statements about past relationships. I dislike when authors claim a character “never felt this way before” despite previous marriages or engagements, and they claim to have loved their previous partner. Hagen avoided that ambiguity by making it clear that Hannah’s previous relationship wasn’t based on true love. That clarity was refreshing.
Could the story have used more depth, more rounded characters, and a stronger plot? Certainly. But as mentioned, I know what to expect from this author—and she delivered exactly that.
Stolen Kisses is kicking off the Sterling Brothers series by Layla Hagen and it's got this swoony sweetness that just draws you in.
Chase Sterling doesn't have a lot of faith in romantic relationships- but he puts his feelings aside when his best friend is ready to walk down the aisle. Hannah Levine may have been been burnt by love before but she can't help but still be a romantic at heart especially as her little sister is in the middle of her own whirlwind romance. While Chase and Hannah start off a bit on the wrong foot with a not so great first impression at the airport, these two are such perfection together.
Chase is kind of portrayed as being this "grump" but I personally didn't find that to be the distinguishing characteristic for him. Sure he's analytical and business minded and definitely has that billionaire mentality down but he also at his core so caring especially when it comes to his family. Hannah is so similar to Chase- she cares deeply for her family, she's got a sixth sense when it comes to numbers but she also has this deep rooted independence and sentimentality that drives her.
This is one of those stories where things just come together and there isn't a whole lot of drama that happens between the MCs- but the characters kind of suck you in the building of their relationship and the budding heat between them. I love that while Hannah and Chase both kind of didn't make the best first impression on each other, things between these two kind of shifted almost seamlessly. I loved how Chase became almost infatuated with Hannah, and that draw happened right when her world needed an extra hand. Despite his aversion to relationships, Chase was out there being a swoony superhero with all the right moves and lines. Hannah was just all kinds of sweetness- while her pride wouldn't let her take the handouts or loans that her new brother in law or Chase were offering she did accept the opportunity to work for what she needed while also getting closer to Chase and his family.
The Sterling family had an interesting complexity to it. With this being the start of the series I loved that Layla was setting the stage so to speak on the various personalities and relationships that these brothers have and giving a little insight to how they kind of play into their reactive natures. And Hannah just kind of fell right into this group perfectly.
I'm excited to see how Layla is going to move forward with this series and to get to dive more into some of the Sterling Brothers as they start to find their HEA's.

Hannah I’m a romantic. Even though my divorcee heart is still bleeding, I’m happy for my sister. I’m determined to enjoy the weekend. Loved Chase and Hannah's story! I was hooked from the very first pages. Their chemistry was undeniable, with plenty of sparks and tension that kept me turning the pages. The banter was sharp, the romance was swoon-worthy, and the emotional depth added the perfect touch. A great read from start to finish!
This is a brand new series with a brand new set of brothers to meet! This series is about the Sterling Brothers and this first story is about Chase and Hannah. This is a grumpy/sunshine story with two characters who are really good people that you root hard for to gain their HEA.
Chase is a very protective and successful guy who is a bit of a grump. He is uber focused on his work and his family and doesn’t really take time for anything else. He meets Hannah when he is not at his best and she definitely lets him know it! Despite his stance against relationships, he falls hard for Hannah. I loved that making her happy made him happy. He goes all out to ensure that she is always happy!
Hannah is a sweetheart who has some baggage and even though she has had a broken heart, she still finds the good in others though, it takes a bit longer with Chase…. She is spirited, caring and confident. She has no trouble putting Chase in his place and determined to do things her own way. She is drawn to the grumpy guy and has chemistry with him in spades!
Their relationship seems so easy even though both of them are encountering challenging times. They have met each other’s families and love to spend time together. Even though each of them has been burned in the past, they can’t help but take a chance on each other.
I loved meeting all of the brothers and the text threads and banter were top notch! Looking forward to getting to know each of them better! I am absolutely drawn to the possible rekindled romance between their parents! Second chance for them maybe??
This is a great story where there is romance, banter, sexy times and alot of emotion in this series starter. I love that this author creates these great families that we come to love and want to know better. I look forward to the next Sterling brother and see whether mom and dad can maybe find a way back to each other too!
I was looking forward to Layla’s next series so imagine my surprise when I was finally able to read it. It was not what I expected but still a good story nonetheless. It was a fun read, Chase and Hannah had chemistry and it was very lighthearted. Perhaps just slightly too much of a light story. There was no shoe dropping moment or bad disagreement or misunderstanding. It was emphasized that Chase didn’t do relationships or believe in marriage and love but wasn’t embellished. I would have thought there would be some hesitation with him but he was all in from the get go with Hannah and it didn’t add up. Layla tried to play it off like it was because Hannah was different but it would have been easier to just have him admit his feelings and intentions immediately instead of dancing around the idea that it was because she worked for him. On top of that, it was another one of those everything is all good books that seems too good to be true. I wanted it to be more real. I’m used to more drama, intensity and sensuality. This had it but I felt like I was reading the same scenes over and over again whenever Chase and Hannah got sexual. Plus, some secrecy is good because it makes for an explosive reveal once it’s discovered and this literally has no secrets between anyone. It was kind of annoying having everyone know things and be ok with it. In a perfect world this would be ideal, but we all know this doesn’t happen. Every moment I predicted would happen, didn’t, and that was a surprise in its own. I don’t know how I feel about that part. It would be interesting to see the direction she goes with these books and whether they will all be like this one, or different. Overall, it was a fun and entertaining story but I would have liked more profound moments and tougher situations with more emotional and intense sensuality which is why this gets a 4 from me.
Layla Hagen has done it again. Stolen Kisses is the start of a new family. Boy has this family got a lot to live up to. Chase Sterling is the head of a business empire, and a very grumpy, workaholic. His best friend is getting married and he’s the best man. He was attending a meeting that he didn’t want to miss and was supposed to be on the last flight out that would get him there in time for his best man duties. Fate had other plans. Hannah is a romantic, even though she is recently divorced, her heart is guarded and still healing. Her grandmother passed away and left her the Inn. It’s falling down around her, and because of an accident to a worker, who was working on the Inn, her savings account and nest egg is nonexistent. She decides to attend her sister’s wedding as the maid of honor, do her duties and put all her troubles away for the weekend. When the last plane going out gets cancelled, she ends up in the lounge with all the other travelers. One grumpy traveler has her speaking out. She thinks he is a total ass. He thinks she is annoying. When they finally get to the wedding and introductions are made, they discover, Chase is her soon to be brother in law’s best friend and best man. Things start falling apart with the wedding and Chase steps in with his brothers to help out. Chase’s brothers play a game at the wedding, dare, or dare. The brothers are all willing to tease or trip up the other. Hence, one dare later, and Chase and Hannah are dancing on the dance floor together. This begins a turn of events that neither one can stop. I really enjoyed meeting this new family, and I’m looking forward to reading about each brother. Stolen Kisses is another awesome story from Layla Hagen. Wish I could give it more stars**********
I recently finished reading Stolen Kisses by Layla Hagen, and I found it to be a delightful addition to the romance genre, blending elements of a grumpy-sunshine romance with a single dad trope and a plus-size female lead. The story follows Chase Sterling, a charming yet grumpy character, and his journey with a vibrant and optimistic partner.
For me, one of the standout features of Stolen Kisses was its ability to balance humor with heartfelt moments. I enjoyed the banter between the characters, and their chemistry was undeniable. Hagen’s writing style is warm and inviting, making it easy for me to become invested in the characters' lives.
The slow-burn romance was well-developed, and the dual POV added depth to the narrative. I appreciated the themes of family, love, and acceptance that were woven beautifully throughout the story, creating a warm and satisfying read.
However, I occasionally felt that the pacing was a bit predictable or that certain plot points could be more nuanced. Despite this, Stolen Kisses is a solid four-star read for me. It’s a sweet and easy read that left me smiling, making it perfect for those looking for a lighthearted romance with plenty of steamy moments. If you enjoy romantic comedies or grumpy-sunshine romances, this book is definitely worth checking out!
⭐⭐⭐⭐ loved it! great chemistry and characters, though a few moments didn’t fully hit. still highly recommend. 🌶️🌶️: mild spice, around 2 to 4 scenes, still tame sex scenes with a slight touch of kink and still romance focused
chase is a no-nonsense businessman who doesn’t believe in love or happy endings, but a delayed flight strands him next to hannah, the obnoxious, champagne-drinking maid of honor and sister of the bride. hannah is determined to enjoy the wedding despite her broken heart, but one stolen kiss and a sensual dance make her realize chase is more than the grumpy man she first met. when he shows up later with a proposition she can’t refuse, their stolen attraction collides with business, and neither can ignore the pull between them.
layla gives me the best fun, lighthearted books and i just adore them. chase is grumpy but protective, and hannah is sweet and determine so naturally my favourite type of duo. their chemistry so there from the start and i just love they way that it started. it is so nice to watch some relationships grew with minimal drama and just that they're able to work it out. all the side characters add so much fun to the story and give the best banter. this was a feel good romance!
tropes: grumpy x sunshine, enemies to lovers, workplace romance,
This was such a sweet and fun read! This was my first time reading Layla Hagen and it definitely won’t be my last! I can’t wait to meet and get to know more about the Sterling brothers!
This book focuses on Hannah and Chase. Hannah, a recent divorcee who is still a hopeless romantic but guarding her fragile heart. Taking a break from the stress of the Inn she inherited from her grandmother and heading to her sisters wedding for a weekend of family fun. Chase, the Alpha, serious business man is running late for his best friends wedding after attending a can’t miss business meeting.
These two meet each other at the airport when everything that CAN go wrong DOES go wrong. Missing luggage, delayed flights…everyone is STRESSED! To make things worse, Chase is sitting next to an annoying woman in the lounge with the rest of the passengers, and she clearly can’t handle her champagne. Hell bent on pushing every single one of his buttons. Hannah isn’t too fond of him either. While she can admit that he’s easy on the eyes, she also sees him as a grumpy a-hole!
When they both reach their destination they realise that they are in fact , headed to the same place…the same wedding. Hannah is the maid of honor and Chase is the best man. Yikes! As much as these two don’t like each other, they all changes when Chases brothers set up a very interesting dance for Hannah and Chase which ends with a very steamy kiss.
Chase realises that Hannah isn’t as annoying as he thought. In fact she has him softening around her and craving her presence. Hannah sees a different softer and sweeter side of Chase. Him making her smile and laugh all night. After a very steamy night she’s convinced she will never see him again, but fate has other plans and what follows is sweet , spicy and kick your feet perfection.
The way these two love and care for each other…both having very guarded hearts but work to show the other that they can be trusted with their hearts. It was a very fun and sweet read 💗

This book was really great. I absolutely love the way Layla Hagen builds her worlds and characters. This start of a new series was brilliant, and I can't wait to watch this series develop. We have 5 more brothers to come.
Chase and Hannah were brilliant together. The back and forth on their first meeting had me laughing. He truly was a grump, and she was having none of it. This story quickly changes into a beautiful love story. With them both being exactly what the other person needed.
Like I said before, I can't wait for the rest of this series. And all I can say is this book is brilliant and I can't recommend it enough.
