A Dragon's Night

Rate this book
Princess Elora Adhelina Galterius has been told her whole life that she is the monster in the story. Cursed to be a dragon and exiled after she maimed her brother, the future King of Albaria. Her gift to shift into a dragon, though, never felt like a curse, even after it led to her killing eleven knights to hide her secret. It was her or them, after all.

All this changed, though, with the arrival of the twelfth knight-Sir Percival Alderius. It had been ten years since she was exiled by her parents to the far-off mountain hamlet of Greydenn. Ten years since Elora had seen Percy. Percy is determined to save her from the dragon, not knowing he has actually been sent to kill her. Hiding her true identity from all those she loves the most becomes almost impossible with Percy's arrival and she must make a choice-give up the dragon or embrace her role in the story. The line between Princess and Monster becomes more convoluted with each decision she is forced to make as she embarks on a journey she never once envisioned.

I’m absolutely in love with these characters! If you’re a fan of spicy fantasy, this book is a must-read. I felt like I was right there with Elora, experiencing every twist and turn of her emotional journey as she uncovers her identity, her desires, and who she can truly trust.

N.F. Webb’s debut novel delivers it all—dragons, witches, prophecies, knights, and more. It’s a wild, magical ride that will leave you craving the next installment. I know I am!

I enjoyed the story but it needs polishing, and a better proofreader. The numerous typesetting errors were distracting (tt printed as É), as were the misuse of several homophones (waste/waist, peak/peek). Hopefully there is a sequel and that sequel will have better proofing.

This was a page-turner from start to finish; a debut novel that delivered it all - dragons, witches, prophecies, knights, and more! A perfect blend of adventure, fairy tale romance and good vs. evil all taking place in a beautiful kingdom. There were sometimes I felt like I was there alongside Elora, experiencing every twist and turn of her journey as she uncovered her identity, desires, and who she can truly trust. The ending is definitely a cliffhanger and I can’t wait for more!

This was so good! I love the premise - it’s so different from anything else.

That ending HOLY SHITTTTT. 🤯🤯🤯 wow. I am unwell.

Can someone please slap Dameon for me? I feel like I’m supposed to like him but he’s too much of a dumbfuck for my liking.

Two sex scenes - one is like 2 sentences and seems like a bad idea (we’ve all been there) and the other is extensive and also seems like a questionable idea but sure ok

(Physical Book) Ahhhhh! I loved this book so much! Both the premise and execution were amazing. The book had a great pace as well. The friendships and found family were cute, and the romances were exciting. That cliffhanger hurt my soul. I demand (kindly request) a Book 2!!!

I am a sucker for a good love romance triangle. Our main gal fought not only external but internal battles that added to the tension. I loved the relationships-not only between our love interests but also the friendships built. The ending felt a bit rushed-but overall I enjoyed the pacing and look forward to seeing if a sequel comes out.

I highly recommend it if you are a swan princess fan. Things are not always as they seem.
